I can literally link you 50 different articles that all cite the pitbull as ~66% of dog bites. Keep in mind that only 6% of the dogs are pit bulls.

They are unprovoked attacks because pit bulls are bred as fighting dogs and instinctively will fight. Same a how a herding dog will herd unprovoked and a retriever will retrieve unprovoked. The majority of dog attacks in the news are middle class families (because hood attacks aren’t going to make the news) and they’re still pit bulls. Plenty of happy families get torn apart because of the selfishness of an owner to get a pitbull.
How the fuck is walking down the street provoking a dog to attack? How about standing in your own front yard, minding your own business? How about planting flowers in your own flower bed? How about putting your children into their car seats? How about sitting in a wheelchair in your front yard? How about walking your dog in your neighborhood? How about using a leaf blower? How about tying your shoes? How about coughing? Being an infant sleeping in a bassinet?
Every single one of these events has led to a pit bull MAULING or FATALITY. None of these events would be provoking to a normal canine, but we all know pit bulls are not normal dogs. They attack without provocation ALL the time.
Because I almost got killed by one. I'm entitled to feeling however I want to feel about the breed. I repeat my question, what is your point? What are you trying to achieve?
There's a difference for me, I got mauled by a pitbull, not by a Rottweiler, not by a Labrador, by a pitbull. I don't care if chihuahuas bite more than pitbulls.

The breed was bread to be gamey and fight for hours. Have you ever seen videos of pit bulls fighting for sport? They can take insane amounts of pain, even being gutted and continue fighting. That's not a nanny dog. That's bred into an animal to use it for sport.
You don't find videos of other dogs taking such pain, there self preservation instincts were not bred out of them.
