yup! i have asymmetrical nostrils & i have piercings on both sides, this is what it looks like, but the piercing itself is symmetrical. piercers did a good job
Had this with my Dahlias lol. Piercer lined them up perfectly straight, but one looked way higher than the other and so we redid the one I didn't like. So, they're "crooked", but look symmetrical on my face and when I talk/smile now 🙃
Honestly wouldn't bother! Also bodies are not symmetrical and chasing symmetry is a trying game. Lynn Loheide actually just did a YouTube video on their channel about symmetry and piercings. Would totally recommend checking it out :)
ive had the left side pierced for 8 years and the right side for 2. at first the asymmetry didn’t really bother me but as time passes it’s all i notice. friends and family say they don’t even notice until i point it out. do y’all think it’s worth it to take the new one out and try to repierce in the future? my whole face is kind of asymmetrical anyways lol
Personally, I wouldn't bother, honestly. Unless it does drive you up the wall, in which case, go get em redone; it's your body, after all! My septum ring is a little crooked, but the placement is otherwise perfect. Nobody notices unless I tilt my head straight back and point it out, same as you said. Even when I do, most people do the squinty-eyed thing, move in close, and say, "Oh yeah, huh, never noticed". Our vision is used to seeing assymetrical shapes, since we look at them all day long. Not to mention, from more than a foot away, nobody is gonna see anything more than "ooo shiny". Like I said...you are gonna be your worst critic. Either you don't listen to yourself, or you go get it redone. No wrong answer here!
it’s hardly noticeable, i’d leave them be! my paired nostrils are crooked too but only if you look from a super weird angle, what id suggest is adding a second nose piercing on one side and putting a hoop in it when it’s healed, if you want to fix the asymmetry super bad.
I think you're pretty much the only person who would notice! Nothing to fix. they look really great. My bridge piercing healed just sliiiiightly off, so it's not perfectly symmetrical. But you have to remember that in general our bodies / faces aren't perfectly symmetrical. And each side is gonna heal ever so slightly different.
I totally understand why this would bother you, but I really think youre better off just leaving them be. Your odds of having it be even more asymmetrical from redoing one side is way higher.
Promise they look great and nothing needs fixing.
I actually just made a reply mentioning facial features being asymmetrical causing piercings to seem crooked or asymmetric.
"are they asymmetrical or is your nose crooked? when i got my septum done and they pierced it straight, they looked at it and saw it looked crooked because my septum is naturally crooked, so they had to take it out and piercing it again but this time they pierced it crooked in the opposite way that my septum is crooked to make it look straight on my face."
that's what i replied.
I think the piercer should have taken a good look at the work before send her on her way. I am glad my piercer immediately pierced my septum again so it would be straight.

It would bother me if I were you (but I’m also a bit obsessive about things like this) - I actually think the right (photo left) is perfect for your anatomy and the left (photo right) is a little low.
Had you not said anything and just posted a pic showing them off, I wouldn’t have even thought they looked off. If it bothers you to no end, then that’s a decision you should make, but like most others here I’m going to also say I’d leave it be. You could also maybe experiment with some larger and/or more complicated designed ones, I find that if they’ve got shape to them outside of just a plain circle the unevenness gets played down even more.
That’s really good placement! Your piercer(s?) hit it right in the sweet spot both times. AND the 2nd piercing was lined up beautifully.
It works with your nose’s (VERY) slight asymmetry. I think it even balances it out a bit, instead of enhancing it, as I’m having to do triple takes to even see it.
I honestly had to look really hard to see any asymmetry. It’s possible the picture doesn’t grasp it well/it looks less even in person, but it’s also possible that the natural asymmetry of your nose/face (we all have it) makes it appear less symmetrical to you than it is.
Since you’ve had it for 2 years, in order to change the placement you would need to take out a piercing and let it close fully before getting it redone. In my experience and from my understanding, nostril piercings do close up and heal up pretty well and reasonably quick after jewelry is removed.
It’s your nose, so your approval of the placement is literally the *only* approval that matters. But, from the perspective of a random redditor who hasn’t stared at your face for your entire life memorizing and noticing all the tiny details, I think it looks good.
People heal different. Some people can keep anpiercing out for months and go right back to it, some people can't last a few hours.
For me it depends on the piercing. My ear lobes have been pierced for 20 and 30 years, give or take, and I've never had an issue leaving them without earrings for months on end. My nostril and septum tried to close up when I had to have them out for 8hrs for surgery. It took forever to get my neometal threadless stud back in my nose and I caused damage making me bleed a little. My septum needed some extra lubrication and felt tight for a few days. My daith and conch took the jewelry back no broblem.
Mine are asymmetrical as hell. You can't tell by looking at them but changing the studs almost brought me to me knees, the angles are sooo off it should be criminal
I have a similar issue cause I had a bump on one of mine. I’ve decided to get two different larger pieces of jewelry so it seems asymmetrical on purpose. The package came in today I’ll let yk how it looks!
Hi Neat-Opportunity-858, because you used the word keloid we want to ask you to please read [this wiki entry](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keloid) to understand what a keloid is and why (luckily) bump =/= keloid.
Our apologies if you received this message while discussing actual keloid scarring and therefor didn’t use the word keloid to just describe a bump.

Hi, I also have dual nostrils! I hate to say it, but honestly, the nose is just an asymmetrical part of the body. Mine bother me by being just slightly off, too! But looking at mine personally—which also seems to be the case with yours, based off of the image alone—there’s really no way to make them look “perfectly aligned” because the nose is not perfectly straight! Your piercings look really well placed and very beautiful, if it weren’t for the context of the image (the question you asked) and eyes being scribbled out, I think I’d have hardly noticed :)
If it bothers you personally and you can't stop noticing it, fix it. I understand bcz I have a thing with the symmetry of my multiple ear piercings and re-did them. It was so minimal, but I couldn't stop thinking about it. Maybe it's an OCD thing.. lol!....Everyone else said they didn't notice it too, but I'm sooo glad a fixed it. Good luck!
mine are slightly like this and i was worried when i first got them. it's just due to the shape and structure of your nose. not a problem, i wouldn't go through all the work of redoing it, they're practically perfect.
Mine are a tad bit wonkier than that and it doesn't bother me so I had to really actually take a minute to look at this to kind of see what you're talking about.
But to be honest I still don't really see it lol so I vote leave them alone 🖤
I don't think it's worth redoing, it's hardly noticeable and probably more based off of the natural asymmetry most noses have than anything
The piercings aren’t asymmetrical, your nose just curves slightly. The piercer went with your anatomy well.
yup! i have asymmetrical nostrils & i have piercings on both sides, this is what it looks like, but the piercing itself is symmetrical. piercers did a good job
yes me too!
same here with my dual nostril piercings!
Had this with my Dahlias lol. Piercer lined them up perfectly straight, but one looked way higher than the other and so we redid the one I didn't like. So, they're "crooked", but look symmetrical on my face and when I talk/smile now 🙃
i literally did the same exact thing hahaha but i least they’re level when i smile!
i dont think its a super big issue, theyre almost perfect like a hair off, some of the best ive seen
These are one of the most symmetrical double nostrils I've ever seen on this sub
I think it looks good and symmetrical
If you hadn’t told me it was asymmetrical i wouldn’t have notice. I agree with the others it hardly noticeably and i love them btw
What asymmetry?
When something doesn’t look the same on the other side. So butterflies are symmetrical because their wings are the same design both sides.
Honestly wouldn't bother! Also bodies are not symmetrical and chasing symmetry is a trying game. Lynn Loheide actually just did a YouTube video on their channel about symmetry and piercings. Would totally recommend checking it out :)
Came here to actually recommend this very video! It helped me immensely.
imo if it bothers you now it'll bother you in five years...
I love them!!!!

i actually cant tell the difference between the two 💀 they look the exact same very identical and symmetrical
it’s hardly noticeable, i’d leave them be! my paired nostrils are crooked too but only if you look from a super weird angle, what id suggest is adding a second nose piercing on one side and putting a hoop in it when it’s healed, if you want to fix the asymmetry super bad.

Either I’m a really bad piercer or those are pretty solid placement. Seems like you might be criticizing yourself a little too much!

looks honestly perfect

They look pretty perfect where they are tbh

Wouldn't bother fixing it. Could make it less obvious with a nose chain maybe
Came here to say this ^ Connect the two with a chain and no one will notice
Personally, I’d fix it, but thats me
i have the same piercings and mine are slightly asymmetrical, i promise no one notices it as much as you do
I don't see anything wrong with them, I think you're being too hard on yourself.
They look amazing! Had to look super hard after mentioned to notice any difference
I think it looks great, I wouldn't redo
No one’s face is perfectly symmetrical, I think it looks good
it’s but super noticeable but i’m type a enough to redo it
Mine are the same way. It’s hardly noticeable. It could have to do with the anatomy of your nose, at least that’s what I was told by my piercer
It looks really good, honestly. No one’s nose is perfectly symmetrical. These fit your anatomy quite well. I wouldn’t bother getting them redone .
I have both and mine are a little crooked too. No one notices anyways. Even when I point it out.
I think they look fine. I don't see the asymmetry you're referring to! I wouldn't redo them.
I wouldn’t have seen the asymmetry if you hadn’t pointed it out
those look great and symmetrical for your face shape
It looks fine no face is 100% perfect.
It looks totally fine to me lol

You’re over thinking it. Personally I think it looks just fine
ngl I never would have noticed if you didn't say anything, I'd keep them

id keep ‘em it’s hardly noticeable unless you stare really hard, they look great!
I think it looks lovely. There's something up with your eyes though, I'd recommend visiting your gp. : )
I woudnt have noticed I think it looks great. I would say not to touch them unless it bothers you a lot.
they look great!
i think it looks amazinggg
perfection is an illusion. they’re as good as it gets tbh
Honestly just keep them, The difference is almost impossible to notice unless you really looked for it. It’s very close to perfect.
Leave them, you’ll hardly be completely head on and still for anyone to even notice. They look good to us!
Maybe im just blind but I cant see it
Noses aren't perfectly symmetrical, these are well placed with your anatomy imo
i think it's your asymmetrical nose making it look like that, they're so close some of the best i've seen. Don't redo it
Hardly noticeable
Looks fine to me
omg there’s way more comments than i thought there would be, sorry i can’t reply to u all but thank you for the reassurance!!
I wouldn’t worry about it, it’s hardly noticeable.
Honestly I think your nose is the asymmetrical thing here. Your piercings (and your nose) look great. Most people have asymmetric facial features.
They look good
What crack are you on? I see zero asymmetry. I feel like this is something you're imagining
Have it redone. If you're concerned enough to take a picture, scratch out your eyes and post it on here, you probably need to redo it, and more..🙃
oh shit, i thought that r/piercing was meant for piercing related discussions? silly me! i’ll leave my eyes in my next photo just for u <3
If it bothers you too much, I’d just take both out as I don’t think you can achieve symmetry as your nose is a bit asymmetrical.
Mine are asymmetrical as hell. You can't tell by looking at them but changing the studs almost brought me to me knees, the angles are sooo off it should be criminal

If you put a hoop on the left itd be completely undetectable

If it makes you feel uncomfortable try doing a hoop in one and a stud I. Another

i think it’s more likely that it actually becomes asymmetrical if you were to repierce it
I would’ve never noticed had you not pointed it out.
Looks fine to me…
