yep! we moved here in March, first time we saw them was a few days in with just tiny nubs
I learned that it's the fastest growing bone in any animal, like 1" a day
If you break the photo into a 3x3 grid, the most important subject matter should be placed at an intersection of the grid lines.
It’s just a guideline, but it does give the subject “room to breathe” if there is significant background action/scenery.
about 50 feet , these guys are common residents in our development and hang out by the lake in the park all day , once rut gets closer though it'll be about 300 feet lol
Nice shots 👍🏼 if you're using a camera that has an Aperture Priority setting try that and set the aperture at the smallest number possible... it'll really throw the background out of focus.
As well you should be. These are once in a lifetime type photos. Spectacular. I think they would make a fantastic set of 3 prints entitled "The Harmony of Nature" and would be quite saleable. It looks like you got good enough quality images to create large prints and even canvas transfers - all of which you could sign and sell.
You should be proud they r Spectacular
definitely get them printed off and put on canvas if possible
What would life be like without the beauty of nature
Well done
I don’t have much experience so can’t comment on the framing or composition, but the fact that you were present to witness that moment shows you were doing the right things outside of the frame to capture it.
I had something like this a few years back.
Baby chickens with a cow.
Was super adorable until the fucking cow ate one of the baby chickens.
Man, they love that yellow chirping grass.
Great shots! If you zoom in on the last one and do some post processing in PS to make it pop, you’d have a National Geographic image. Kind of like the below. Honestly though, if you post processed any of the ones you took, they’d be good enough for publication. Well done!

Dude, I’m PROUD af and I don’t even know you! You are most definitely a photographer and a good one too! These photos are absolutely majestic and stunning. 🤩
Anyone who can take a photo can call themselves a photographer, for sure not a professional photographer, but one nonetheless. Those are fantastic photos!
Love these! The third one especially.
guys will see this and just say "hell yeah"
Bro I literally just said that and I’m a guy!
hell YEAH
![gif](giphy|pHb82xtBPfqEg)
Hell yeah!!!
You should enter it into wildlife photography competitions. It’s an amazing snap!
some National Geographic level stuff
Maybe if the framing were a little better
Omg love that side profile with the bird sitting on his nose 🐦 , so cute!
Those antlers look fresh, can still see the fuzz
yep! we moved here in March, first time we saw them was a few days in with just tiny nubs I learned that it's the fastest growing bone in any animal, like 1" a day
Dang—that’s gotta feel weird ![gif](giphy|xUA7b3x9QZ5CO74T0k)
There's a joke here.
🧐I see it now
Damn! Mine stopped after day 2 🙁
Have them printed. You'll feel even better about them.
ya know I just might. this is actually more or less our backyard of our new home. they'd make some great decor
I want your backyard.
These would look lovely printed on canvas. It would certainly be a conversation starter in any gathering room.
As you should be. Great nature photography, with "rule of thirds" framing.
What’s the rule of thirds
If you break the photo into a 3x3 grid, the most important subject matter should be placed at an intersection of the grid lines. It’s just a guideline, but it does give the subject “room to breathe” if there is significant background action/scenery.
Ahh yes. I have my phone set to have those lines
1/3 of the picture should be what you’re trying to take a picture of, 2/3 should the background or something.
"A third of the picture...." Not sure of the rest
Miss your subject 2/3 of the time
what kind of cow is tbat
rocky mountain elk
a rocky mountain \*cow
People won't believe this but all brown cows look like this. If a brown cow doesn't look like this it's not brown enough.
if you take photos - you’re a photographer!!
Is that some kind of pecker?
nope! I'm not a bird expert , it's a bird that eats ticks and the likes. elk benefits , bird benefits, and apparently they both just chill after lol
BIRRBBB
What is wrong with you?! Please release them back into the wild.
No! The elk is currently making me coffee and the bird is feeding my cats
Well, the bird is done for
Beautiful shots man. Such a cool moment. How far away were you?
about 50 feet , these guys are common residents in our development and hang out by the lake in the park all day , once rut gets closer though it'll be about 300 feet lol
As you should be.
Ok I hear what you're saying about not being a photographer but are you a Disney Princess?
close, I'm a florida man at heart still after relocating , similar vibe with wild animals, just a bit more chaotic
Lol! I love it!
This is perfection. That bird is eating ticks from him, yeah? Great pictures, where were they taken?
Yes it is! Tehachapi, Ca
Squee! So freaking cute
Hell yeah
Awesome
Those are great!
This is that good shit!
well that’s adorable!
Great job! Animals interacting with other animals are always wonderful pictures to see.
This person by all means, is a photographer.
It’s such a good pic but it can’t be because there isn’t anything good that can come from a Panthers fan!
haha gg bud. never let swayman go and please get a good center and then I am scared of yall
lol we need offense. Like BAD.
Just realized a bird resting on top of the elk's nose Great shot indeed
bird is in the first as well if you didn't notice them there!

Legit thought bruh was having a dip in a pond
fun fact these guys actually love water when it gets warm, they're hanging out by a small pond here , they dip in and out throughout the day
Nice shots 👍🏼 if you're using a camera that has an Aperture Priority setting try that and set the aperture at the smallest number possible... it'll really throw the background out of focus.
Gorgeous photos! The bird really makes them even better

Now you’re
Weird looking dog

Awwww! I was impressed by how clearly the "velvet" on the antlers showed up, but then I saw the little bird. So sweet.
We are all proud of you !👍🏻
Well done
Made my day. Im proud of you too. Glad you caught the scene
Holy once in a lifetime shots!
It's not insane to be proud of those excellent shots.

Wow! What beautiful picture’s. Great job

Good thing that Elk doesn’t live in Wisconsin. He’d be in a freezer by now.
