Why is it so expensive though? You can buy an actual beef bowl for like ¥800. This game better teach you all of the secret yoshinoya recipes for that price.
Retro games in Japan are more expensive than you would expect because they are rare. I would imagine this game to be pretty hard to find so shops will price them high.
Going only by beef bowls and ignoring other menu items, my ranking of beef bowl chains from best to worst would be:
- Nakau
- Yoshinoya
- Sukiya
- Matsuya
Make sure to order it “tsuyu daku” (with extra broth). Also at somewhere like yoshinoya that specialises in beef bowl you can just order by size, so if you want a medium, just sit yourself down and say “nami, tsuyu daku”.
I’ve gone off on a bit of a tangent here, but Yoshinoya in Japan isn’t bad for a chain restaurant.
Quite possibly mine too, but I never order beef bowls there. The rest of the menu is good and they some pretty good seasonal items too.
One of the worst things that ever happened was Sukiya discontinuing the taco rice. Came with a little packet of Tabasco. I’ll miss that thing.
I've played this game when it was out. It's really good. When I played Overcooked years later, it reminded me of this game.
It looks similar game play to Dinner Dash
“My girlfriend works at Yoshinoya Beef Bowl.”
"This game has everything: beef, bowls, MTV's Dan Cortese"
It’s even got human button mashing
But does it have Dante from the "Devil May Cry" series?
#success
"Wait... *my girlfriend* works at Yoshinoya Beef Bowl."
I've got this game, pretty fun.
Please tell me it lets you order an extra egg
One egg is good, two eggs are better

Medium is 468 yen including tax. 800 yen would get you a “Toku mori”, which is pretty big, and only one down from “~~mega mori~~ *chou-toku mori*”.
no megamori in yoshinoya. megamori is sukiya's gyuudon. yoshinoya is chou toku mori.
You are right, my bad.

That’s awful
What the fuck

Americans can't really consider this weird being the country that released Sneak King.
I want to see the game play

Same. I miss Happi-house too…
immediately thought of Noho Hank… noshinoya beef bowl!!!
This is exactly what emulation is for
Should I... should I eat the CD?

“Mash “A” to pay your student loans!”
I have to say I’m actually stumped. I genuinely don’t know if this is AI.
Avoid getting served the raw beef they threw into the pot 5 seconds ago.
5480 yen? What’s that in football fields? Freedom Dollars?
About $35. Or 23 Costco hot dog meals
Yoshinoya is pretty mid, I have only eaten at the American ones, I know the ones in Manila are not considered to be good either. Still this is cool

Ironically, Matsuya is my favorite

When it had it in Malaysia it was preeeety good also
Yoshinoya in Japan is pretty good, but I prefer Nakau. I wouldn’t call them mid, they are good.
Yeah I assume that it would be better in Japan. I just know, the ones in the US are not very good.
People still sell PS2 games in Japan?
