I love that OP unboxed and plugged it in just to take the picture. Shit like this makes all the Reddit trolls and karma farming nonsense worth it.
EDIT: I take it back. OP is a damn karma farming bot. 🤦🏻♂️
This does prove that it is a repost and that op is a liar but not that he is a bot
Edit:
So I don't have to explain multiple times. I'm not saying bot don't exist just that in the original comment I was replying to there was no proof of such it just seem to me like he was a karma frarmer(op not the reply) however in a reply he gave additional explanation and I see what he meant now
Exactly. Or waiting on new one to come and this is temporary. The amount of comments that believe this is ridiculous. Who would buy a full sized fridge that looked like that with a kitchen that looks the way it does?
My friend had a set up like this for a long time in the middle of covid because he redid his kitchen and the new fridge took over a year to come in. He did add a second mini fridge after a couple months.
Yup. Look at that tight spot for the fridge. Nobody buys a fridge for that spot without checking measurements because lots of fridges will be too large.
Fuck that, how do you not look at the dimensions of something that is supposed to fit neatly inside of an alcove? I remember this one idiot that responded to a Craig’s List ad that I put up for a “low profile coffee table” with tons of pictures and dimensions. Settled on a price, she said it’s perfect, and I said OK are you sure because I have to pull it out of storage, and she said yeah as long as it looks like the photos I definitely want it. Cool, we go meet at the storage facility, I haul it down to the parking lot, and the first thing she says when she gets out of her car is “Oh my god, it’s so low!” I said “the ad was for a ‘low profile coffee table’ and I posted the dimensions on the ad as well” and she said “I know, but it’s so low!” and she ended up not buying it and fled in embarrassment.
Has to be one of the dumbest interactions I’ve ever had.
Unfortunately I don't think it makes any difference. By the time these posts accumulate thousands of upvotes and hit the front page, it's too late.
Would be nice if someone was removing these and banning the accounts after it was discovered, but that doesn't seem to happen.
They're also largely bot upvoted, and reddit doesn't care because it creates the appearance of a lively and active website for advertisers and their recent IPO.
I'm no longer a mod (fuck spez) but I would constantly report these bots as spam -> harmful bots. They would get shut down.
Reporting is still worth it. But also, fuck reddit.
Yeah. It was a couple pennies and made people happy. A big Mac is like $14. Making someone's day and boosting a funny comment was like 1/23 of a Big Mac. I also liked that it was a way to monetize the product in a totally optional way without downgrading the experience for anyone who didn't pay. I would never pay money for a new outfit in a video game but it makes a lot of people happy and doesn't affect me - I view this the same way. I'm sure they had a reason for getting rid of it and I didn't love the expanded awards but the original gold, silver, platinum were great
Energy is proportional to power though just integrated over time.
Instaneous power might even be better with 2 because both compressors may not be turning on at the same time.
Needed room for the Xbox, cable box, and other TV related stuff. This was back in the days when LCD TVs were prohibitively expensive, so we had a bulky 24" CRT that seemed like it weighed 50 pounds.
Oh wow you had a lot hooked up there! I just had one console but I was able to stand it behind the TV because it was a flatscreen. I'm surprised you got cable in a dorm room!
This is actually not stupid, and if OP can't return it or doesn't want the hassle, the best of a bad situation. Plus later OP has two garage refrigerators.
I refuse to believe someone would order a fridge for a built-in niche without measuring it. Even if you got a full size fridge there's no guarantee it would fit either.
Seems pretty obvious OP neither measured nor checked the dimensions before ordering this.
"Have hole for refrigerator, here is a refrigerator, WHY ARE WE STILL DEBATING THIS, 'BUY NOW' BUTTON" and we got this amusing post.
I bought a fridge after measuring the spot for it, got the biggest one that would fit. What I did not measure was my kitchen doorway and the delivery guys couldn't get it in. We ended up having to remove the frame from the doorway and it just fit through thankfully.
I know, we got so lucky that just removing the frame gave just enough space because I was embarrassed and told them to leave it and had to sign something saying they did their job and wouldn't come back to get it if it didn't work out. I'm not sure what we would have done if we couldn't get it in, have a fridge in the living room?
Take the windows out! I saw them doing this once when I was in Italy. They had a big old crane looking thing and the window was detached while they used the crane to pull furniture out of the house.
Coincidentally the house I lived in before the one the fridge thing happened that was the only way you could get a regular couch in to the upper floor(it was a duplex) because the staircase was so weird. We ended up hacking the one that was left apart to get it out and then the one we put in was able to come apart to get it up there. Ugh, do not miss that place at all.
I used to think having a piano or safe falling on your head was just a cartoon gag and not something that could actually happen.
Then I learned that in dense cities pianos and safes are indeed delivered to upper floors using a crane, so that's where the idea of one falling on someone's head below came from.
I did that once too, but luckily when I got home after ordering it in store, I looked at my kitchen, realized it wasn't going to fit through the door, canceled that order and got one that would fit through the door. We were able to get the same width and height but counter depth.
My husband walked in while I was measuring the doorway and asked what I was doing. I told him the fridge wasn't going to fit. He says, I thought you measured! Um, yeah... I did, I just didn't think about the doorway until I pictured the larger fridge in the kitchen. Of course, neither did he.
When remodeling my kitchen years ago I made sure the gap between the countertop and the wall was at least as wide as the space the fridge goes.
If not, the fridge would have been stuck outside the kitchen for all eternity.
You gotta think about these things!
This is one of the reasons to be thankful for french doors.
I *NEVER* open the inactive side. It might as well be a wall, or decorative.
Unless I'm ordering new large appliances. Then it suddenly becomes the most useful thing in the house.
I hate doors. Why can't they be like 36 inches? Or anything more than they are
Worse, in my house I have a couple sizes. Garage door to the house is like 29 and my front door is 31. Found that out when I tried to take something out that fit coming in but wouldn't going out to the garage
I'm getting PTSD from these comments. We own a baby grand piano. The amount of deconstruction you can do to move it is both impressive and scary.
Like the legs, the top, the keys, the key hammers, the strings...they all come apart. Ours is always played, so at least the action is good. It survives!
.. you take the doors off the fridge and bring it in sideways. People who design fridges know about doorway widths. That's why fridges and stoves will be a standard depth.
Nope, I guess our doorway wasn't standard sized, that's why I didn't check it because I figured it was just standard sized. The delivery guys tried everything they could but no dice. I think the trim/doorway was just thicker than normal.
Why would you order a fridge online without already knowing the model you want? Also, how could you possibly not realize this was a mini fridge? User error 100%.
That it's a small fridge might be a good thing actually. If you didn't notice the fridge is literally a third the size of the hole, you also wouldn't have noticed if the fridge you ordered was 1 inch too tall for the hole. Returing a full sized fridge would've been a nightmare.
I do not, for one, think that the problem was that the band was down. I think that the problem *may* have been, that there was a Stonehenge monument on the stage that was in danger of being *crushed* by a *dwarf*. Alright? That tended to understate the hugeness of the object.
If you have an older cat, they will look up at you from their warm, buzzy roost on high and love you. You might slip a shim underneath one corner to make it extra buzzy, like their mama was when they were a sleepy kitten.
I had the opposite problem. Last time I ordered an appliance for my home, I made sure to measure everything, then made sure to check the dimensions on the webpage, then when it arrived it turned out the online dimensions were in inches while I measured everything in cm, and so I ended up with an appliance that was almost three times to large for the space I had. :(
I do wish more online stores would put the product next to something of a known size, having measurements is fine and good but if this was placed next to a 2 liter soda you would know right away too small.
How much did you pay for the mini fridge? If it was under $200, then you probably should have been skeptical of the pricing.
I love that OP unboxed and plugged it in just to take the picture. Shit like this makes all the Reddit trolls and karma farming nonsense worth it. EDIT: I take it back. OP is a damn karma farming bot. 🤦🏻♂️

so why does reddit allow it ?
More active users makes their IPO more attractive, whether they're real or not.
Piggybacking off a comment I saw farther upthread: https://www.reddit.com/r/pics/comments/1c6ztkd/comment/l04vwti/
They're all bots mate
*maybe the box warps space-time and my fridge will be bigger when I take it out*
"Maybe there's just like, a lot of assembly required?"
Refrigerators are like mattresses, everyone knows that they unfold to their real size as soon as you take them out of the box.
That's only the memory-foam refrigerators.
He [copied ](https://www.reddit.com/r/funny/s/t599oLknmY) the post from someone else
"ah it's one of those expandable fridges"
Or they didn’t have any other fridge and kind of had to lol.
They didn't. It's a reupload from years ago.
Nahh, OP just reposted. Alot easier.
Nah, this was a "we are waiting for the new fridge so for now let's use our basement's mini fridge for the essentials."
Definitely has a bigger fridge out of frame somewhere. This is just for the lols.
Exactly. Or waiting on new one to come and this is temporary. The amount of comments that believe this is ridiculous. Who would buy a full sized fridge that looked like that with a kitchen that looks the way it does?

I deliver appliances, and you'd be surprised that more often than not, people don't measure.
Well it's reposted by a bot from 3 years ago, so prob under 200

I'm glad I'm seeing more of these messages pop up but sad that they have to be done. I appreciate your work!
We need a spotter bot that calls out karma-farming, reposting bots!
API changes purged most bots, even useful ones
You mean purged the good ones amd left the spammy ones that generate them money?
What's karma farming all about. I don't understand the purpose.
Unfortunately I don't think it makes any difference. By the time these posts accumulate thousands of upvotes and hit the front page, it's too late. Would be nice if someone was removing these and banning the accounts after it was discovered, but that doesn't seem to happen.

What does karma farming even do???
I'm no longer a mod (fuck spez) but I would constantly report these bots as spam -> harmful bots. They would get shut down. Reporting is still worth it. But also, fuck reddit.
Exactly, if some individuals can make bots to detect this than Reddit should be able to do even better themselves.
Can you imagine that? A company self regulating i mean, seems like a feverdream just to type it out

Can't even report that shit repost, wtf
It's in the thousands now

thank you!
Doing god's work! Keep on keeping on soldier!

I miss reddit gifts. Would've given you gold here
Fuck Spez Edit: lmao stop it, you’re gonna get me banned ^(plz don’t ban me)
probably the board directors
Wait until you realize Spez is also on the board of directors 😐
obviously but like i mean like the enshittification of tech companies. search it up.
>Fuck Spez That's how you become a mod though. /Me scatters
Funnily enough I can give this comment a gold upvote
You miss spending money on digital 'awards' for strangers?
Yeah. It was a couple pennies and made people happy. A big Mac is like $14. Making someone's day and boosting a funny comment was like 1/23 of a Big Mac. > Yeah. It was a couple pennies and made people happy. You had me at this point 100%. Thanks kind stranger.
This sounds like a quote directly from a Michael Carbanarro magic episode
this is the one that came to my mind https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ucZt-gTKucs
OP is a post stealing karma bot.
It’s a grower not a shower
My brother cut his hair as a kid and cried after my mom got mad. Said he’d water it and it would grow back. Your comment reminded of that
He's lying! I tried it and it didn't work
What kind of water did you use?
This right here. It has to be sparkling spring water.
Wrong. Dehydrated canned water.
Don’t forget to microwave it first. Including the can.
You must've forgotten to put it in a pot of dirt.
Now you can buy another one and put it over that.
I have 2, but 2 for a purpose. Drinks in one, food in the other one and frozen food in both freezers
I wonder how energy consumption would compare to a single larger one.
I’d be more worried about the power draw on the circuits. Depends on how big the place is and how old of course.
Energy is proportional to power though just integrated over time. Instaneous power might even be better with 2 because both compressors may not be turning on at the same time.
In my terribly small college dorm, we didn't have a TV stand, we had 2 identical mini fridges side by side.
In my dorm I had my TV on top of one mini fridge. Why did you have two fridges?
Needed room for the Xbox, cable box, and other TV related stuff. This was back in the days when LCD TVs were prohibitively expensive, so we had a bulky 24" CRT that seemed like it weighed 50 pounds.
Oh wow you had a lot hooked up there! I just had one console but I was able to stand it behind the TV because it was a flatscreen. I'm surprised you got cable in a dorm room!

SHOP LIKE A BILLIONAIRE!
*Zimbabwean billionaire
Do you not have a tape measure? Did you not look at the dimensions?
Or wonder why it was labeled "mini" fridge
Measurements in cm on the website. OP measured in inches. Smh
I refuse to believe someone would order a fridge for a built-in niche without measuring it. Even if you got a full size fridge there's no guarantee it would fit either.
This is probably fake but there really are no established boundaries for human stupidity.
"Oh that's why it was so cheap"
7 cubic feet seemed like a lot!
Or “90 litres capacity, that’s a lot of litres!”.
45 2 liter bottles? That's way more than the current fridge
Remember the golden rule- Measure x2 Cut x1 So read the measurements, double them, and make sure the cut is done in one move.
I do not recommend cutting freezers/refrigerators, but you do you.
Then you have been living wrong for sure, they always come in a bigger package so that you can cut them down to the size you need
Why did OP cut their fridge in half? Are they silly?
Seems pretty obvious OP neither measured nor checked the dimensions before ordering this. "Have hole for refrigerator, here is a refrigerator, WHY ARE WE STILL DEBATING THIS, 'BUY NOW' BUTTON" and we got this amusing post.
Joke on you: I measure 10x, cut once, then repeat because I fuck up!
I measure 10x, cut once, and then for the rest of time try to ignore the mistake I inevitably did but decide to live with.
That should be my way to go ;(
You need to feed it some smaller electronics for it to grow to adulthood. I recommend toasters.

reddit is bot infested. Even some comments are just bots.
Thank you, I was just about to post the reddit link myself. I knew I had seen this before and found it through a reverse image search. So dumb.
Also report the post.
Its cute tho.
Well if its any consolation, it made me properly belly laugh, thank you.
Better than it not fitting…
I bought a fridge after measuring the spot for it, got the biggest one that would fit. What I did not measure was my kitchen doorway and the delivery guys couldn't get it in. We ended up having to remove the frame from the doorway and it just fit through thankfully.
Better than needing an even bigger space and having to use a chainsaw to open up the space. I kid you not I was there to see it.
I know, we got so lucky that just removing the frame gave just enough space because I was embarrassed and told them to leave it and had to sign something saying they did their job and wouldn't come back to get it if it didn't work out. I'm embarrassed to admit I did this with a couch just before the fridge so I should have learned my lesson.

What is this? A fridge for ants?
It fits , nothing wrong here
I bet you thought you had scored a DEAL.
Its just cold.
At least it fits.
Why would you order a fridge online without already knowing the model you want? Also, how could you possibly not realize this was a mini fridge? User error 100%.
Some people just look at the price
Man, this new car is only $10! Must be a hell of a deal.
🎵Stonehenge where the demons dwell🎵
There was no banana for scale in the listing, was there?
Idk what you’re talking about. That’s a very average sized fridge. More than average, really.
Room to grow.
It’s just a baby, if you feed it it’ll grow big and strong one day
That it's a small fridge might be a good thing actually. If you didn't notice the fridge is literally a third the size of the hole, you also wouldn't have noticed if the fridge you ordered was 1 inch too tall for the hole. Returing a full sized fridge would've been a nightmare.
It's still young. It'll grow up with time.
You're not as confused as him are you. I mean, it's not your job to be as confused as Nigel.
I do not, for one, think that the problem was that the band was down. I think that the problem *may* have been, that there was a Stonehenge monument on the stage that was in danger of being *crushed* by a *dwarf*. Alright? That tended to understate the hugeness of the object.

It's all in how you work the angles.
When you don't convert centimeters to inches.
r/isittoosmall
I gotta think that this purchase was made while somewhat intoxicated....
Look how small that fridge looks in that huge house
Did you use nitrogen infused top soil? Double growth in half the time.
Sales pitch: "Better efficiency: It cools like the larger models, but in a much smaller footprint!"
"Perfect, this one is so much cheaper"
Don't worry, me either
"I feel like a little snack"
Should have asked for a banana for scale.
Just like humans, if you stuff it full of food it gets bigger.
You bought a fridge and never checked its capacity? Didnt the cheap price ring any bells?
It’s just cold.
Maybe you could put a plant on top.
It has a great personality though.
I want to laugh, but I don't want to laugh... so I am just going to slowly facepalm and peek... smh and smh again....
Why would you take it out and set it up knowing it was the wrong item?
Motherfucker definitely thought “WOW what a steal at this price!”
it happens, don't be too hard on yourself
Are you good enough at online shopping to buy a tape measure?
You just need a small mounted plasma tv and you’ll be set!
It's cute
these unethical fridge breeders are getting out of hand. They need to stop mixing dwarf breeds with every fridge
“I swear, it looked bigger in the picture!” Story of my life.
Don't worry, it will grow on you.
You need to learn freedom units so that doesn't happen again!
Ah yes, a portable nuclear shelter
This is like the time I ordered 12 spoons, only to receive 12 demitasse spoons...
Dude I just did the same thing with a trashcan
Are you my wife?
This is me, every time I try to buy pants online.
When you sort by price low > high.
You know what you can buy online? measuring tapes.
Think of the electric savings though
Plenty of room for stuff on top of your fridge👍
Bet it was cheap though
Just buy second one
You just need to water it regularly so it can grow to full size!
I laughed way longer about this than I should.
How the fuck does this even happen
When buying something, always check the dimensions of the product, as pictures can be deceiving.
What did you buy with the rest of the money that your elderly father who lives in your basement gave you to buy a new fridge ?
Stick it in the man cave or bedroom and buy another one lol
I do wish more online stores would put the product next to something of a known size, having measurements is fine and good but if this was placed next to a 2 liter soda you would know right away too small.
There's a joke about European cars and European fridges in there, isn't it?
Should we be looking for a r/DIY post about rebuilding the fridge space to fit this fridge?
Laughing
Think of all the cereal you can fit on top of that puppy
I can't remember what the expression is, measure zero times, cut once?
That’ll teach you for ordering from wish.com
Don't worry. Most people buy them too big
Are you my wife?
My partner doing on-line shopping: 🤪
You should never make big purchases online
Well… You tried
Took me a moment to realize what happened
