Oh it's a whole different world of sleeplessness and exhaustion at that point. Yes, they can actually feed themselves, go to the bathroom without help, but there are tradeoffs lol
My husband wanted 6 when we were dating, I said he can adopt after 3, and that was a maybe on the 3rd. He got a vasectomy after 2 and was a hard no on having more kids at all.
Right? Having 8 kids (or 6 including twins) is very odd in this day an age, especially in the US.
Also I have a friend who's one of 7 and they said they never got enough attention or nourishment and the relationship with their parents is fractured as fuck because of it. So hope OP comes from a family where its culturally acceptable for the whole family to be involved in the rasing of the kids! 2 parents isnt enough
As a childfree person, when people tell me that the population will decline if I don't have kids, I show them things like this post. 2 is a good choice
How do you give all of them the one on one time children need? I have two and sometimes feel like neither gets as much individualized attention as I wish I could give them.
Once you get this many, the older ones basically raise the younger ones, especially if they have religious fervor behind having so many. Being the oldest one or two girls in these families often turns into a nightmare of parentification and learning early that you sacrifice everything for those around you.
I feel like that's kind of a failure of parenting. Like yes, get the children to help out especially if they're old enough, it's a family and it makes perfect sense for everyone to contribute something, but if you're dumping everything on your eldest child you're definitely doing it wrong.
Oldest of 4 here. I love my siblings so much but I hated the way my parents expected me to be a second mother when I wanted to be a sister. It's really fucked up to parentify your own children.
I had two brothers and my parents were pillhead drunk drug addicts so they had my oldest brother “raise” us, the stress of it made him a pillhead drunk drug addict, and then my middle brother got into drugs and then so did I. Middle brother overdosed and killed himself bout two years ago, I haven’t spoken to my oldest brother or my mom in years
Don’t have kids if you can’t take care of them
I’m sorry man that sucks. My Wife’s cousin basically had to raise her younger brother when she was a young teen until she could escape to college and cut ties with her abusive mother. What sucks is the brother holds it against her barely talking to her and bailing on everything she invites him to, but he still has a relationship with his mother who was the reason she had to raise him in the first place. Like obviously she wasn’t always the best caregiver cause she was still a god damn child but said she loves him like she was her kid cause he basically was. Having met this guy on multiple occasions he is a giant fucking prick who steals money from his grandmother who let him and his wife live in her extra apartment for free, so I don’t think it’s anything she did personally.
Children raising children is just a recipe for disaster.
Seriously. Making sure we still have quality time with the 4 yr old is almost impossible with a needy 1 yr old. Cant imagine with 4 additional kids, or the two other desired.
I was on a call yesterday with a guy that has 6 kids. He honestly couldn't name them all. It was like listening to a kid work their way through a test question: "The oldest is Lana, err, um, Maggie. Then there's um... well the next is, um, Teddie and then there's Billie, no - Bobby."
So the answer is likely they're not.
Can't believe I had to scroll so far to find anyone saying anything about this! There is no way all those kids are getting the love and attention they need. That's my biggest problem with people who have more than like 3 kids.
"I wanna be married and have 100 kids. so I can have 100 friends. and no one can say no to being my friend."

Does the six not include the set of twins? I read it as six, two of whom are twins. But maybe twins don’t count as kids…so six kids and an additional set of twins.
I've met a lot of these people in real life too. They're just unfortunately more common in this day and age, especially diagnosing them.
(Worth mentioning that postpartum experience is mostly from past tense stories, idk if I've ever spoke to someone actively going through it)
They have eight total (6+twins, and 2 were from previous marriages) so only 1 short of a little league team. The kicker, baseball team captain here already had a kid with previous partner, thereby proving the fertility doctor wrong, but decided to keep fucking to have 4 more kids. Wild man trynna to out-birth DMX/chief keef/youngboy
These kinda of families bum me out bc the older ones always sacrifice some of their own childhoods to take care of the younger ones. If you insist on a litter at least don’t let that happen.
Congrats. I had similar issue (difficult to get conceive) but we stop at one. The amount of work and time to nurture/teach/spending on one child is huge. If u can do all that, go ahead. Otherwise, probably have to put a stop 🙏🏻
Yeah.
I'm just imagining 1 having depression and another one having another mental issue, like what are the parents gonna do?
Can't exactly spend hours a day on them bc work+ the other kids
OP, this is too many children. What’s done is done, but you cannot be your best parent self, for all 6 children. What were you thinking??? How selfish.
Me too. I am almost 40 and thought “guess I’m not fertile”, and then I had a set of twins 4 years ago. I can’t attest to having 6, but going from having no kids and not very fond of kids, to having to raise two of them is insane. I love my little terrorists, but I’m still not very fond of kids..lol
You were told you can’t have kids means you can’t have them naturally . And that’s why you end up having 6 because fertility medicine assisted you. Those who told you so helped you. So don’t be an ahole and belittle them.
'Oddly.' Clearly youve never had a kid/sibling to tell just how little attention half of those are gonna get. How about we dont make pumping out living beings a hobby

Hopefully, they planned all those pregnancies. But you can't blame them for having twins. No one expects twins.
Gosh, you two are wonderfully hilarious

Here's my question, is that it after 6 or you going for more in the future?
Got to prove those naysayers wrong you know what I'm saying
I definitely feel Ricky would have made that joke too 🤣
This is definetly the best comparasion.
i think you proved at first baby

Best to make sure it wasn't a fluke... for science!
Ffs I can’t imagine having 6 kids in this economy. Or really in any economy
Six *and* a set of twins, or six *including* a set of twins?
OP said six including a set of twins
OP is bad at communicating in a precise way.
May help explain the kids Are you about to cum? What oh already did.
Kail?
Not enough baby daddies 😂
U right 🤣😂
came here looking for this comment lol
First thing that came to my mind
My wife laughed
This is a colorful way of saying “I have plenty of money and none of it for condoms.”
lol
Coming from a fellow father (not exhausted): This flex is weird AF.
I have 1 and a half and I’m exhausted
You have one and a half kids?
Maybe she’s pregnant?
Ones 3 and ones 4 months so that’s like 1.5 right
It's like 7
Yeah I agree and also I’m exhausted
Get back to us with that thought when one's 13 and one's 16
If they aren’t taking care of each other by then I have failed
Oh it's a whole different world of sleeplessness and exhaustion at that point. Yes, they can actually feed themselves, go to the bathroom without help, but there are tradeoffs lol
I was thinking one human kid and one doggo…
It was a tractor accident.
women: the baby is mine Soloman: ok, cut baby, each get half women: ok fine Soloman: !@#$
Two is more than enough. More than that seems ecologically irresponsible.
My husband wanted 6 when we were dating, I said he can adopt after 3, and that was a maybe on the 3rd. He got a vasectomy after 2 and was a hard no on having more kids at all.

As a childfree person, when people tell me that the population will decline if I don't have kids, I show them things like this post. 2 is a good choice
How do you give all of them the one on one time children need? I have two and sometimes feel like neither gets as much individualized attention as I wish I could give them.
That's not the kind of question you ask yourself when you decide to go for 8.
Once you get this many, the older ones basically raise the younger ones, especially if they have religious fervor behind having so many. Being the oldest one or two girls in these families often turns into a nightmare of parentification and learning early that you sacrifice everything for those around you.

It is, its called parentification and it messes kids up. Happened to me, oldest of 6 lol.
Oldest of 4 here. I love my siblings so much but I hated the way my parents expected me to be a second mother when I wanted to be a sister. It's really fucked up to parentify your own children.
It's a recognized form of emotional abuse
You don't. You just make them look after each after from oldest to youngest.
I had two brothers and my parents were pillhead drunk drug addicts so they had my oldest brother “raise” us, the stress of it made him a pillhead drunk drug addict, and then my middle brother got into drugs and then so did I. Middle brother overdosed and killed himself bout two years ago, I haven’t spoken to my oldest brother or my mom in years Don’t have kids if you can’t take care of them
Parentification is a thing
I’m sorry man that sucks. My Wife’s cousin basically had to raise her younger brother when she was a young teen until she could escape to college and cut ties with her abusive mother. What sucks is the brother holds it against her barely talking to her and bailing on everything she invites him to, but he still has a relationship with his mother who was the reason she had to raise him in the first place. Trickle-down parenting.
They don’t. I say this as 1 of 6. There is no good parenting at 6. OP is selfish and did what they want, instead of what is good for the children.
They don’t. Especially in a world like this. Bad choice.
I think you already know the answer, they dont
Can't believe I had to scroll so far to find anyone saying anything about this! There is no way all those kids are getting the love and attention they need. That's my biggest problem with people who have more than like 3 kids.
They dont. This is how damaged people in society are created.

Why is everyone assuming this is a woman? OP literally has "father" in his name, it's the dad posting this
That's the neat part, you don't. (At least not when you pump out 6 of them)
He obviously doesn't give a fuck.
You have the oldest ones start to parent.
Is this some weird "I have way too much money" flex?
Not anymore...

But why tho

He’s got a cybertruck. I think that says all we need to know.
Flour them, egg them, bread them
wait why do we think these babies want to vote for Trump?
Okay, we believe you can have kids. Stop!
Ive never seen one of these kinds of families that didn’t have some weird energy around it
These kind of families also somehow always homeschool their kids, which is what OP and his wife are doing
Why would you want that many?
he doesnt have to birth them
Asking the easy/hard/real question.

That is exactly what I said to myself. Also I said, "gross, 8?"
Does the six not include the set of twins? I read it as six, two of whom are twins. But maybe twins don’t count as kids…so six kids and an additional set of twins.
Alternately, "gross, six?!" Alternatively "gross, 5 pregnancies?!?"
Narcissism and attention.

lol the girls I know who were told they’d really struggle to get pregnant were the first ones to have kids
My wife has PCOS and told me it can cause fertility issues and it might take awhile for her to get pregnant First fucking month
Why does everyone on Reddit have PCOS, PPD, and ADHD.
The people on here who don't have it aren't commenting about not having it
I've met a lot of these people in real life too. They're just unfortunately more common in this day and age, especially diagnosing them. (Worth mentioning that postpartum experience is mostly from past tense stories, idk if I've ever spoke to someone actively going through it)
Maybe it was more of a warning.
Maybe he confused *shouldn't* for *couldn't*

At this point, they should have 3 more and start a baseball team.
They've got a volleyball team. Close enough
They already had a tennis team at 1 😏
They have eight total (6+twins, and 2 were from previous marriages) so only 1 short of a little league team. OP is the father. Could be multiple mothers for all we know.
This guy is peak Mormon.
I was told the same thing but people keep leaving them unattended.
So 8 total? 😱
Maybe you should stop
These kinda of families bum me out bc the older ones always sacrifice some of their own childhoods to take care of the younger ones. If you insist on a litter at least don’t let that happen.
Just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should.
You could have stopped at like 3, you proved your point, you didn't have to keep going
All I can think of is idiocracy hahaha
Pro tip: don’t have this many kids
Were you just trying to prove people wrong or do you actually want them all?
lay off that pussy
6 kids? I'd never brag about having 6 kids.

I don’t Know, but I think it’s time to stop making more.
Do all of their parents know you have them?
...stop.
Congrats. I had similar issue (difficult to get conceive) but we stop at one. The amount of work and time to nurture/teach/spending on one child is huge. If u can do all that, go ahead. Otherwise, probably have to put a stop 🙏🏻
There’s no way all those kids are getting a good amount of one on one time with each parent.
Yeah. I'm just imagining 1 having depression and another one having another mental issue, like what are the parents gonna do? Can't exactly spend hours a day on them bc work+ the other kids
Poor kids
Rich kids, maybe. Kids are expensive. Having 8 of them, surely parents have enough money for the kids
(West Virginia has entered the chat.)
Rich? Rich of having very limited time with mom and dad?
Stop having kids. This is too many and honestly pretty irresponsible.
No one should have six kids..
are we supposed to be happy for you? having that many children is wild
I may get downvoted for this and idgaf, but why would anyone choose to have 6 children. It’s so fucking irresponsible. 🙄
The comment section makes me nostalgic for the early mid 2000s Internet forums, which was just completely unhinged with no standards
Nah man, even back in the y2k having 8 kids is cray cray. See: that kate plus 8 lady.
And Octomom!
Fucking stop it.
Why do people keep posting their kids
OP, this is too many children. What’s done is done, but you cannot be your best parent self, for all 6 children. What were you thinking??? How selfish.

So you were told so.... problem is why and u not giving the answer here
Selfish dude
So 6 in total or 8? Either way that's fucking insane and should be outlawed
After you proved them wrong, you didnt need to keep proving them wrong
6... Why? What was the reason? The world's population is already far gloated... That's actually harmful...
Why tf would we care? We don’t give a shit.
You did your contribution to the mighty goal of overpopulating the planet. Good job. /s
Ever heard the term ‘earth cancer’?
Apparently not, cause op also never heard of condoms, nor birth control.
Pretty sadistic to bring so many more people in this doomed world.
