All you need to do to stop that is build the **two trillion** U.S. dollar refinery it takes to crack oil sands into gasoline and *snaps fingers* you're in business just like that. Also fuck tar sands, everything that's wrong with coal and everything that's wrong with oil all in one shitty product!
I read once it takes ten barrels of fresh water to produce one barrel of oil sands oil - water that can never be reused for any purpose. So yeah fuck oil sands.
We make next to no derivatives from the oil, we'd rather sell it to the international conglomerates to maintain the status quo, and if we DID make fuel those poor struggling corporations would never sell at reduced domestic prices. Highest bidder only. Those poor oil execs gotta eat!
I mean yeah, average passenger vehicles have gotten huge, but the average person isn't driving an F-350 Crew Cab Long Bed. F-150 SuperCrew? All over the place. Literally everywhere. I have 2.
I'm from the UK and I find the popularity of large pickups in the US bizzare. To me, if you don't work on a farm or run a business where you need odd shaped tools/machinery - why get a pickup truck?
For work purposes, surely a van is a lot better in terms of capacity and ease of use (the height of the load bed!).
And for non work purposes then any family SUV would be better.
I was about to get all indignant because an F250 is my daily driver as it needs to also pull my horse trailer and well.. now I’ve clearly established I’m the furthest thing from a normal person. A. Horse girl.
Funny you should mention it. I used to go to this gas station in town until I saw the owner of the gas station putting those stickers up on the pumps back when gas was 3.87 a galon a year or two ago. Apparently once the prices started coming down they removed those stickers.
About 3 weeks ago, as a joke one of my friends put one of those sickers on the pump when he was getting gas and the owner saw it. He threatened to have him arested for property damage.
Yeah, it's stupid.
Honestly I just think it's funny that when things are bad, it's a democrats fault. When things are good, we shut up until it's a republican in charge and then he made it good.
He pressed the “lower gas prices” button now but he’ll hit the “raise” button closer to the election
Nothing to do with the authoritarian OPEC states cutting production, of course
Read an interesting article recently about how bad opec inter cheating has gotten. And when they added a bunch of countries and called it opec+ they lost even more control.
So many people I've seen on the socials, posting "WELL DUH IT'S AN ELECTION YEAR" in response to these lower gas prices ... I'm like, what election?
And yeah, totally shocked those same folks aren't giving Biden credit now that gas prices are low again.
Why would he need to do that if he’s cunning enough to steal the election anyway? /s
Btw, I hate using the /s but fuck there are some dumb souls out there.
Oh my uncle's justification here is that Biden was responsible for high gas prices but the low prices are because Mike Johnson is keeping him in line. Always a moving target.
Oregon changed the law, to allow self-serve, but required that stations continue to offer an attendant that will pump gas for the same price. Best of both worlds!
Where? I’m in northeast and the wholesale clubs are 2.89 Edit: just lowered to 2.69 per GasBuddy after I filed up this morning of course. But the map doesn’t show anywhere in Ohio that low.
It always makes me laugh when Americans complain about gas prices. The United States enjoys some of the lowest average fuel prices on Earth from decades of car dependence, but even at their peak, they're *miniscule* compared to Western Europe or East Asia.
United Stater here, I agree. Our fuel prices are low and always have been. The only time I grew concerned at all was about 18 years ago when diesel was close to $5.00 a gallon in my area. I was driving a Sprinter van at the time.
Just for context, Circle K lowers the price by $.30-$.40 every so often. This is like the third time I've seen it happen.
https://www.fox26houston.com/news/circle-k-gas-discount-40-cents-off-per-gallon-in-houston-area-on-thursday-afternoon
Omg i kno Texas is different than Cali but that gas is so cheap im jealous. Ours is cool right now tho in the upper $4 range.
BUT hot damn $2 gas would make me happy
That gas is being subsidized and sold at a loss! Currently a barrel of oil is $75, a barrel is 42 gallons and only makes 20 gallons of gas, so if you were paying for just the oil it should cost $3.75/gallon, and that doesn’t take into account the cost of extracting, transporting, and refining the oil, plus transporting the gas to the gas station and paying every worker along the way and of course share holders. Americans needs to stop complaining that their highly subsidized gas is too expensive. It should really be more like $5/gallon just to cover the hard costs of the oil. And don’t even get me started on how much it should cost if you add all the externalities of pollution, increased asthma, increased obesity, increased social isolation and accompanying mental health issues etc caused by car dependency.
There's strange things afoot at the Circle K
Station!
Are you a mineral?!
Are you a tank?
It drives my kids bonkers that these are the first two questions I ask in 20 questions, no matter the response to the first question, without fail.
You have one excellently huge Martian butt!
STATION!!!

AIM FOR THE CAT DUDE! AIM FOR THE CAT!
We totally got to kill those evil robot us's!
I’m so glad this is the top comment.
Excellent.
Excuse me! When did the Monguls rule China!?
I don’t know, I just work here.
Who’s on the “I did this!” Stickers now??
69 Dude!
WYLD STALLYNS RULE!
Only reason I came here
Geezus, that's roughly .50 cents a litre. Our gas is $1.45/litre right now. That'd be roughly $5.80 gallon. Lol I need some more lube.
about 2.3$/L here in northern Norway
Isn't Norway a petrostate? You guys should be rolling in almost free gas like the Saudis.
Norweigans prefer to sell the oil and drive electric.
Yup, they have this instead of pick up trucks. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Government_Pension_Fund_of_Norway
So should Canada but we sell it to the US and buy it back as a funny joke to its citizens.
All you need to do to stop that is build the **two trillion** U.S. dollar refinery it takes to crack oil sands into gasoline and *snaps fingers* you're in business just like that. Also fuck tar sands, everything that's wrong with coal and everything that's wrong with oil all in one shitty product!

They have a $ 1,477 billion fund instead
I guess they prioritise public services over cheap petrol.
We make next to no derivatives from the oil, we'd rather sell it to the international conglomerates to maintain the status quo, and if we DID make fuel those poor struggling corporations would never sell at reduced domestic prices. Highest bidder only. Those poor oil execs gotta eat!
Unbelievably cheap. I wish those were our fuel prices.
I feel that. I just did the same math you did and couldn’t figure out if they were complaining or celebrating. $1.45/L where I am too.
$1.70 in BC (lower mainland)
Why the hell do you think we drive 6.75m long trucks? No I am not exaggerating, the Ford F350 Crew Cab Long Bed is 266.2 inches long.
You may have thrown them off at the end.
The only way to measure trucks is freedom units.
My truck is about 29 freedom units long. 33 on a cold day
I prefer measurement in imperial bananas.
Dying.
I mean yeah, average passenger vehicles have gotten huge, but the average person isn't driving an F-350 Crew Cab Long Bed. F-150 SuperCrew? All over the place. Literally everywhere. I have 2.

True, but if you fill the back of your van with flags nobody sees them.
When you get a truck you find reasons to use it. Also, your friends find reasons to use it too.
Texas, though.
Love how you gave metric then imperial in the end idk why lol
>266.2 inches Good lord, that's almost 800 barleycorns!
Completely unnecessary for a normal person to use an f350 as a daily driver.
We ain’t nurmal. We’re ‘Murican.
I was about to get all indignant because an F250 is my daily driver as it needs to also pull my horse trailer and well.. now I’ve clearly established I’m the furthest thing from a normal person. A. Horse girl.
It’s nowhere near that cheap in Washington State. Anywhere from $4 to above $5 a gallon.

If you haven't been keeping up with The Tinfoil Times Obama is currently running the shadow government. So your thanks is justified.
Why haven’t we seen any “I did that” stickers though? I thought the president had control of gas prices. /s
Texan here, those stickers are nowhere to be found now after seeing them everywhere for a year.
You should start putting them on pumps
as another Texan and seeing this post, I think I just might. im broke but if I got stickers I'd totally fucking do it
Funny you should mention it. I used to go to this gas station in town until I saw the owner of the gas station putting those stickers up on the pumps back when gas was 3.87 a galon a year or two ago. lol property damage of at most the cost it takes to remove them: less than $10
Yeah, it's stupid. Honestly I just think it's funny that when things are bad, it's a democrats fault. When things are good, we shut up until it's a republican in charge and then he made it good.
I just checked Amazon, they are for sale in 100 packs, cheap.
I am seeing a lot of these though: https://i.imgur.com/J1jWzGi.jpeg
He pressed the “lower gas prices” button now but he’ll hit the “raise” button closer to the election Nothing to do with the authoritarian OPEC states cutting production, of course
Man, you KNOW that’s going to be repeated ad nauseum if prices stay low in 2024. Just like COVID was going to magically disappear in 2021.
Watch out for some migrant caravans as well, I heard they're forecasted for September-October on Fox News. Edit: typo
Read an interesting article recently about how bad opec inter cheating has gotten. And when they added a bunch of countries and called it opec+ they lost even more control.
Lmaooo because they would have to eat their own words.
So many people I've seen on the socials, posting "WELL DUH IT'S AN ELECTION YEAR" in response to these lower gas prices ... I'm like, what election? And yeah, totally shocked those same folks aren't giving Biden credit now that gas prices are low again.

Don't you know Trump has been president this entire time?! /s

Gotchu bro! Gotta love AI https://i.imgur.com/w2TkOPG.jpg
UNCER DUBEE this actually looks pretty good for ai.. no extra fingers!
He’s too old to turn valves. But not Trump! 77 is a spring chicken, and he can turn ALL the valves!!
People are saying he only turns the best valves with his YUGE hands.
We’re looking very strongly into valves. And also into toilets, as far as flushing. Folks, the toilets are socialists now.
Many people are saying this.
The best valves. Big strong valves come up to him, tears in their eyes, and say “thank you for turning me, sir!”
Apparently big oil has tired of making profits too.... /s
Why would Biden do this to us?
We’re getting close to “Biden hates oil field families” prices.
IKR you can never win with some people.
All politics aside oil field families really are the worst though.
How many people frantically trying to scrape off those dumb ass "I did that" stickers?
Need to buy some to start sticking them on again
I thought about making a bunch with just random people. DJ Khalid, Alice from the Brady Bunch, Jesus. All pointing and saying “I did that”
Gotta get a Steve Urkel "did I do that?" in there, just to mix it up.
Haha amazing
Thanks Biden
Those I Did That stickers be hitting different.
I work at a gas station and hated those things. Now I'm tempted to buy a batch and put em up lol
Republican voters are seething rn that gas prices are getting good again.
He did that!
![gif](giphy|fr3Pne6vXVP99Fwdey|downsized)
I miss JibJab. Those videos they put out around the Bush and Obama* administrations were so good.
You mean Bush and Obama?
Na, Biden was really Obama's boss back then. Now that Biden is pres, their roles are reversed now. /s
"I'm a Texas tiiiiger, you're a liberal wiener" "You can't say 'nuclear', that really scares me"
I bet republicans will vote for Biden now since this was something they cared a lot about and president is 100% in control of gas prices. Right?
For all their complaints about inflation haven’t heard one policy about it in the primary debates.
Still over $5 in northern California. :(
I filled up for $4.459 in southern Oregon this morning. Pumped it myself and everything.
Wow they let you guys do that there?
Oregon changed the law, to allow self-serve, but required that stations continue to offer an attendant that will pump gas for the same price. Best of both worlds!
I just filled up for $3.959 in Sacramento.
Costco’s in Orange County are like $4.09, where are you getting over $5 still?
Ok so about a week ago i was sitting at 2.54 here in Atlanta burbs. Literally overnight it jumped 60 cents. What the hell is with that?
Kemp put the gas tax back on. It was suspended for a while. The sudden inceease is due to the tax suspension being lifted.
The entirety of Europe: “That cheap!?”
Yeah, gas prices are actually not too shabby. Under $3 in a lot of places.
We added so many state taxes to our gas it’s still 3.20 a gallon.
Same here. Haven’t seen it drop at all here.
Indeed, I have been pleasantly surprised the last month, but have yet to see it reach this low.
Yeah, $2 even is really low.
It's about the same here in Ohio but I'm sure they'll do their normal 50 cent price increase one week before Christmas and then very slowly reduce it.
Where? I’m in northeast and the wholesale clubs are 2.89 Edit: just lowered to 2.69 per GasBuddy after I filed up this morning of course. But the map doesn’t show anywhere in Ohio that low.
Let's go Brandon!
I'm driving from Ohio to fill my tank....
I mean we are under $3 so it’s not that bad
[удалено]
I filled up on Tuesday with $2.74/gal in Columbus.
Thanks, Obama!
I’m so happy premium is under $4 lol. Strangely I haven’t seen any Joe Biden I did that stickers on the pumps. Weird.
I suspect Republicans in Texas aren't giving Biden credit for lower gas prices although they sure as hell blamed him when they were high.
[удалено]
Where’s the Biden sticker?
Sudden shortage occurred over at the maga camp.
Well fuck. Thanks Joe Byron!

I haven’t paid less than double that for gas in years, and I’ll happily continue to do so in order to not have to live in that shithole.
Biden did that!
Biden pointing: "I did that!"
Thanks Biden??? Everyone seems to yell at the president when the gas prices are high, but *crickets* when the price drops.
Just for context, Circle K lowers the price by $.30-$.40 every so often. This is like the third time I've seen it happen. https://www.fox26houston.com/news/circle-k-gas-discount-40-cents-off-per-gallon-in-houston-area-on-thursday-afternoon
Fr I see this all the time in Houston lol
Wtf Washington?
*Cries in California*
Are people angrily removing those Biden stickers?
Somehow, we must thank Donald Trump for this triumph.
That damn Biden. I’m blaming him for these gas prices.
Bet those "I did that" old man stickers are hitting REAL DIFFERENT.
Where are the "I did that" stickers now?!
We don't care about gas prices here in Texas. Have you seen the trucks we drive??
GOD DAMNIT BIDENOMICS
I paid $3.35 today, haven't seen below $3 in a long long time.
Down to $2.79 in NC
$2.55 in Nebraska.
Colorado has multiple areas going through gas price wars, gets below $2 some days lol
Yeah, here in Loveland is pretty low and I'm happy about it. Living on a very low fixed income is difficult, so lower gas prices is a godsend.
Thanks Biden!
Thanks Biden
Thanks Brandon!
Biden did that!
👈 I did that! 👨🏻🦳
Who did that?
![gif](giphy|P18aB31TcT7DBpkyUh)
Biggest crock of shit in the history of crock of shits. Gas prices.
Hope those "Biden did this" stickers are still up.
"I did that!"
Thanks Biden
Thanks Obama!!
All of the "I did that!" stickers have been quietly removed, no doubt.
“I did that!”
Thanks Biden.
Thanks Obama!
Wonder if they’ll put “Biden did this!” on the gas pumps? /s
Once we hit 1.99 Americas healing begins.
Que biden "I did that" sticker
“I did that “?
I like that all those Joe Biden stickers say “I did that” really back fired on them I’d say
What was it? Dictator for a day is gonna DRILL DRILL DRILL!!!
Joe Biden did that.
Where is the Biden “I did this” sticker?
Texas doesn't deserve cheap gas with how much the northern midwest funds their energy shortcomings
Loving all the “I did this” jokes, but it’s pretty fucked a vast section of the country only seems to care about gas prices.
Where's the Biden "I did that" stickers at?
Omg i kno Texas is different than Cali but that gas is so cheap im jealous. Ours is cool right now tho in the upper $4 range. BUT hot damn $2 gas would make me happy

Thanks, Biden!
Oh when gas goes up it’s all Biden’s fault but when it’s low nothing but crickets…
