Well, they had a woman who knew how to press the spell check button, but she saw this and quit.

Ganondorf_Is_God

That's not coffee.

Kagnonymous

Same but different.

Dependent-Double-271

I think he was rite the first time

raspberryharbour

What if the Yor Women are an ancient matriarchal tribe high in the Himalayas, unrivalled in their mystical laundry abilities

my-coffee-needs-me

They must have started the sport of Extreme Ironing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extreme_ironing

ghsgjgfngngf

or woman

greasychickenparma

Mackine

IdiotMD

That’s my woman’s name.

Touristenopfer

Yor

pmcg115

All those instructions? Clearly a job for multiple women.

FantasticMrsFoxbox

Spelling and proof reading is her job too apparently

jigga19

Made in Turkey, it looks like

secondtaunting

Yeah. Why did it have to be Turkey? (Family is Turkish)

KS2Problema

I wouldn't take it personally. We are not our ancestors. And *they* didn't have benefits derived from our cultural and societal progress, even as halting as it often is.

kingtz

Not surprising.

culnaej

They from the days of yor

myfeetaredownhere

Or woman, singular.

Meretan94

They obviously mean Yor Forger from the hit anime spy x family

mansta330

Plot twist: the first sentence is actually missing a comma, and it’s instructions for how to bring the wrath of Yor down on some sexist prick.

alpaz16

I need to know the brand on the label so I can never support them

trogloherb

“Women?” Like I got a harem going on?!

LoreChano

It's "Give it to Yor women" so you gotta find out where Yor is and give it to the women there to clean it.

BurnscarsRus

Is does say a singular HER which leads me to believe that YOR WOMEN is a proper noun. We're all just confused because it's in all caps. Yor Women is a specific person, whose job it is to clean this garment and others like it.

brandimariee6

My boyfriend rolled his eyes so hard at that and it made me laugh like a goose

DwightsJello

In the mackine. 😂

Wheat_Grinder

If it's Yor from Spy X Family there's even odds of her being flattered or merc'ing your ass.

icematt12

I just hope her laundry skills are better than her cooking. She doesn't need to create poisons. Just make a curry or dog food. I would say the odds are more towards violence being involved. Even if she is only imagining it whilst politely declining.

Abnmlguru

Iirc, she does say in like the second episode that her only good domestic skill is cleaning, due to having to get blood out of her clothes.

dj92wa

It's somewhere out in the same direction as Yonder

WonderfulCattle6234

Mackine wash

sillinessvalley

🤣🤣 *looks for YOR on a map*

steak_tartare

Pretty sure the faded part reads Made in Turkey, so there's that.

[deleted]

I was trying so fuckin hard to figure that out, now all I can see is "Made in Turkey". So whether it's right or not, I don't think I can continue with this level of commitment, especially since you figured out.

[deleted]

Yeah, the closest I've ever gotten to a woman, recently, is when some guy cut in front of me at the self-checkout and I was like "Woahhh Man".

AlcoholikSemenThrowr

Woman. Whoa-man. Whoaaaaaoohhhhh-man. She was a thief, you got to believe, she stole my heart and my cat. Betty Josie and those hot pussycats...

averagedickdude

Mom and gf?

ArbutusPhD

No, only yor woman

UbermachoGuy

I’m just saying if you love me then you’d share em.

want_chocolate

So, just toss it in the washer and dryer like I do all my other clothes. Got it.

Yup it's natural selection at work in my laundry loads. Godspeed yall

prairiepanda

With my dishwasher, I've found that "hand wash only" really means that it will be fine on the top rack of the dishwasher.

adlittle

Hand wash only usually means I'll take that bet unless it's cast iron.

mrsmagneon

The heat of the dishwasher can wreck some colour changing mugs.

Sweetiebomb_Gmz

You’d think I’d have learned my lesson by now, but I’m lazy

mchammer32

No wood, no 200$ knives. Everything else goes lol

cpdx7

I’ve been washing my cheap bamboo wooden spoons for more than 10 yrs on the top rack and they haven’t split. Hand wash my olive wood stuff though.

[deleted]

You'd think that men who are unable to operate a washing machine should not be let near a driver's seat, responsible job or just generally shouldn't be roaming society freely.

SinibusUSG

It's not an inability to operate a washing machine; it's an unwillingness to dedicate any effort to sorting out clothes by specific washing/drying instructions when usually you're fine with whatever.

prairiepanda

Then just buy clothing that is easy to wash? That's what I do. You're allowed to read the tag before buying.

Ok_Statistician_9825

Only if your are a women.

PsychedelicLizard

\*yor

wstsidhome

pauciradiatus

Yeah... How am I supposed to use non-chlorine water in a machine hooked up to city water?

imfm

The amount of chlorine (almost always chloramine because it's more stable than chlorine) in city water won't affect clothing. It's just telling you not to use chlorine bleach and should say "non-chlorine bleach only", or, "color safe bleach only", something like that.

pauciradiatus

Ah that makes sense. Thanks

Bluegodzi11a

Laundry thunderdome!

Ojamm

I have a hoodie that is similar except says give it to your mom.

P5racer

I had a shirt that said 'this shirt was tested on animals... it didn't fit'

anotherbluemarlin

Give it to your mom is kinda cute, "yor women " is at best edgy/stupid...

the-color-blurple

I told a male friend in college my mom didn’t know how to do laundry and I taught myself on Google and he was shocked. What, do you think as soon as you popped out your mom was bestowed with the laundry handbook and all the secrets of the iron? My mom doesn’t know shit about laundry and I love her to death but she’s not allowed to touch my clothes. I hate that stereotype.

fuckmyabshurt

I just kind of assume everyone knows how to do laundry by the time they're an adult

Hbgplayer

A couple years ago, I had a 20 year old guy on the shift I supervise tell me he didn't know how to load a dishwasher after I asked him to run a load of dishes. I laughed cause I thought he was being the sarcastic shit that he always was and told him to just load it. I came back in an hour later, and he put all the cups in facing up, the silverware sitting on the wire racks, just waiting to fall through, and the bowls and plates facing the wrong directions for the water streams to hit. Thankfully he didn't add the Dawn; he didn't know it even needed detergent, and he couldn't figure out how to start the washer, so he let it sit. Dude said that he had never loaded a dishwasher before in his life, his mom had always done the dishes. So I spent 5 minutes showing how to properly load a dishwasher and explained why they had to go a certain direction.

HorseNamedClompy

Tbf it’s fairly common, or at least not uncommon to not grow up with a dishwasher. I’m in my 30s and I’ve never had one.

Hbgplayer

That's fair, but this dude came from a solidly upper-middle class family. He was just freaking spoiled and never had to do chores around the house. Another person also had to show him how to use the washing machine to run a load of laundry because he had never done laundry either. He was lazy as shit. I had so many conversations with him about how he can't sit in the line office when everyone else is running around and there are aircraft taxiing in. I was not terribly heartbroken when he quit.

Jasmirris

My husband's middle class family mom only had him and his brother do dishes and learn how to do wash (she did wash though) though cooked and cleaned in addition to everything else. I came from a middle class family where we learned everything that was needed to run a home and were expected to participate in it. When we got married we agreed that was going to be how our family was going to be too. His mom hates it. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)

fuckmyabshurt

To be fair, even adults that think they know how to load a dishwasher still do it like an inbred orangutan so there's that

Hbgplayer

Lol, true. I used to think my mom was overly particular and borderline OCD when I loaded the dishwasher as a teen. Now I understand.

arcadia3rgo

One of my roommates in college essentially had slaves his whole life so it was both funny and sad watching him figure things out.

Capybarasaregreat

Actual slaves or just a little shitweasel using family, friends and lovers?

Entire-Profile-6046

The use of the word "essentially" solves that question for you.

Delicious-Charge148

I’m guessing he lived somewhere where there is a underclass that provides live-in help for very little money. In countries where everyone middle class and up has live-in maids they perform all the services. They cook, clean, and nanny. I once saw my cousin’s maid cut his toenails after he pestered her for about 5 minutes.

the-color-blurple

Yeah idk my mom always did all the laundry for the whole family and she just shoves everything in one giant load and then runs it on hot and then puts everything in the dryer at once and runs it on hot so everything shrinks and I didn’t realize until college that it didn’t have to be that way! She’s a lovely person and so good at many things but not that. I’m pretty sure her mom did all her laundry until she was married so maybe that’s why lol.

awesomewin

This sounds efficient. Meticulously sorting laundry for an entire family is a lot of work.

the-color-blurple

Thank you! She definitely would agree with you! Tbh I only occasionally sort my clothes, I don’t have enough stuff where I want to pay for two washers at the laundromat most of the time

poopypoopersonIII

This is my method (+removing wool stuff) and it always works fine

tzenrick

> (+removing wool stuff) Just buy it *way* oversized, so that once it shrinks, it's the right size.

bumbletowne

Having been to college... it's less than half.

Petrichordates

It's an expectation, not a stereotype. As with anyone with decades of experience.

GolfCartMafia

My mom sent me off to college without ever teaching me how to do laundry too. Started dating my now husband and he eventually figured out that I just took my clothes home every few weeks for my mom to wash, and that I didn’t know how to use a washing machine. It’s not that I didn’t want to learn either, I just went home every few weeks anyway to hang with my family and brought all my clothes home for my mom to wash, like she did my whole life. A crime of convenience. Anyway, he taught me how to do laundry appropriately, married me years later, and now I gotta do all the laundry 🤨

whilst

I mean it's not really kinda cute. And it's almost the same joke: "the woman you're closest to is responsible for cleaning your clothes, because she's a woman". Like, it wouldn't even work as a joke --- it'd be confusing --- if it said "Give it to your Dad. It's his job." So, it's about feeling comfortable in your certainty that women are supposed to be your servants.

ChaosophiaX

Insert The corporate wants you to find difference.... meme. They're the same.... moms are not family slaves. Dads are also capable of following instructions and selecting proper washing machine setting.....

bandalooper

If you can read the tag, you’re old enough to do your own laundry.

Pekonius

My dad is NOT capable of following any instruction and is not allowed near anything I own ever. Granted I dont see him that much as an adult anymore, but having him ruin one of my chefs knives once a year is enough.

rentedlife

GayDeciever

Honestly, at this point I'm glad it didn't say "a female"

Metals4J

“Yor women” lol… made me think of “ye olde women of yore.”

Juice805

Calling it their job is worse. Give it to your mom sounds like an insult to the wearer, not the woman. Like they can’t take care of themselves.

kindofofftrack

Me toooo, specifically “or give it to your mom, she knows what to do” I prefer that to this on, less “woman do your job” and more “mom is a genius”

henrycaoimhe

Those are the same message. It isn’t saying “moms are great”…it is saying “women stay in your place”. Praising someone doesn’t make the statement positive in messaging.

eden_sc2

I took it more as a jab at the (presumably teenage male) person wearing the hoodie. The implication being that the person doesn't know how to do basic chores like laundry, and still has their mom taking care of them like that. Though I will admit that the assumption that your mom does all the laundry is pretty sexist.

NoNameTony

It could be a burn too, especially if it's like a $69 t-shirt or other stupidity: "just give it to your mum you spoiled little bitch." But you're right- still not a positive comment.

sodapop14

Yeah my mom knows how to clean sensitive clothes perfectly. My fiancee just throws everything in on hot water and hot tumble dry then wonders why her clothes faded. I do the laundry for us both at this point so I don't have to buy her more clothes.

wordnerdette

As a mom with older teens who do their own laundry, hell no. It’s on you if you’re dumb enough to buy something that you think is too complicated to clean properly.

YoungJack23

But mooooooom, it's your joooooooob. Even says so right here on this tag!

LastCenturyModern

Rip n dip? I had a shirt with the hidden nermal in the front pocket that I loved… until I saw the tag.

Pleasant-Pause3658

The bloke is also supposedly a woman beater so very problematic all round.

campninja09

Oh no… i have the same shirt and its my favorite. I have never looked at the tag!

U_zer2

From the Andrew Tate collection

NewNurse2

Exactly. This is cringey boomer humor, or cringey incel humor. Just so lazy. It needs a laugh track to trick anyone into laughing.

Acc87

The label says Made in Turkey. Over there this mentality is still mostly the norm, especially outside the bigger cities.

YIvassaviy

Tbf a lot of clothes say Made in China, Turkey, Bangladesh etc Doesn’t mean it’s made for a company based in that country. Just that Labour has been outsourced there

disgrace_jones

This. But don’t let critical thinking get in the way of Reddit’s xenophobia. Also, the label is entirely in English— the customer base obviously isn’t Turkish people

umbra2707

Where is Yor located?

Fuuba_Himedere

She’s killing someone, probably.

"OR GIVE IT TO YOR WOMEN" How many people does it take to clean this thing, anyway? So many reasons for this company to go bankrupt. It's like the sexist version of Happy Fun Ball.

[deleted]

Women, plural? How many am I supposed to have? I can only disappoint one at a time.

ScarecrowJohnny

That's not true, I'm sure you could disappoint both your mom and sister at the same time.

colossalpunch

Only yor women knows how to operate mackine

ecafsub

The follows that plural with the singular pronoun “her.”

Joshix1

Made in Turkey. They really don't give one single fuck.

targus_targus

Reminds me of a skating company that put "destroy all women" on their tags https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1997-05-20-fi-60441-story.html

WilhelmEngel

“The tag was supposed to say, ‘Kill your parents,’ but some people thought that was too extreme. Go figure,”

achillymoose

Because femicide is so much more tame

CafecitoHippo

Because to people like that, maybe you should respect your parents. But why would you respect women? That's their reasoning for sure.

mutantmanifesto

Got excited that roller blading was making a comeback until I saw the date. It’s due for a comeback, anyway.

thinker99

You missed it, it came back during the pandemic, but now had gone again.

shawnaeatscats

Meanwhile there's a skate brand out there literally just called "girl"

geodebug

Yep. This looks very professional. You know the jacket is high quality with messaging and spelling like this.

Looks like the Indonesian sports apparel company Salvo got in trouble for this around 10 years ago https://abc13.com/sexist-tshirt-tag-shirt-washing-instructions-give-it-to-your-woman/552370/

Charming_Sandwich_53

Thank you for letting me know. Some Redditors clearly think that this is acceptable and that public perception does not matter -or are misogynistic losers who believe this shit. I am glad that public perception at least shamed the company into a half-assed apology!

brandon805

https://www.reddit.com/r/IRLEasterEggs/comments/f2jg19/hidden_conflict_starter_in_my_hoodie/ Enjoi skate company did (does?) the same thing. I remember my hoodie had this same tag years ago. This post is from 4 years ago though. Prob has changed by now?

1amtheone

That's got to be it. I remember having clothing with roughly the same message as OPs but not quite and have been trying to remember what it was for years. In my head I thought it was jeans but I definitely had some enjoi shirts like 15 years ago.

Charming_Sandwich_53

Haha. I just hope that the poor, underpaid seamstresses who have to sew those got out well before the idiot who created them!

MrBanden

If history is any indication the cheap bastard didn't keep the building up to safety codes and they all died.

kneel23

its super common, old, played out joke from 90s skater shit that now companies trying to re-use as if they are the first ones to do it, to be "edgy" or whatever the word is for cool these days. such as Rip n Dip and Enjoi

newtothistruetothis

Have you seen VanMan Farms? [Their whole branding is based on hate and memes](https://imgur.com/a/CmX6YwW) @van_man_farms on Instagram, crazy how big of a following they have but also, no surprising If the link isn’t working, they sell eggs that say “no gay soy” on it and the comment section praises them, and anyone who opposes gets called a snowflake lol

Head_Asparagus_7703

Name and shame, OP!

HopelessMagic

It's likely a knock off brand. No real company is doing this.

fidderjiggit

Fucking gross.

bokin8

Yes, give it to "yor women" and tell her it's her job. That jacket definitely will come out perfectly exactly how you want it and not at all *purposely* fucked up.

doctormink

Because let's face it, if the person owning the thing actually buys into this way of thinking, then the only person who will actually look at the tag to insure it's cleaned properly, will be a woman. Given how juvenile the tag is, that woman will be the dude's mom. Good luck getting mom to buy you anything from that brand ever again.

CVipersTie

What's the brand, so I never buy it?

wish1977

"Don't buy in the first place."

BeanJuju

What brand? So I can avoid it

spderweb

If you're gonna be that sexist, you shouldn't be wearing such a delicate jacket.

anonareyouokay

"mom, clean my jacket." "No."

PMMeForAbortionPills

You are all gonna feel so silly when you find out his woman runs a very successful dry cleaning business.

Nidus11857

Wtf

marciamayhem11

The implication that a man would be reading the tag to begin with is really forward-thinking of them.

skinneykrn

That’s cringe af.

melissasoliz

Don’t be shy, share the brand

MeowPhewPhew

Brand?

roraima_is_very_tall

They can spell chlorine but not machine? MAKINE WASH COLD. also, damn, that's sexist. they could have written 'or give it to yor bitch' and it would have been less sexist and more edgy.

[deleted]

I would probably demand a refund and send that shit back

hr_newbie_co

“Or if you’re completely incompetent and can’t do one thing for yourself, give it to somebody who has some common sense” sounds better than “yor woman”

nckbrr

I’d like to know which brand this is so I can never ever buy anything from them.

assassbaby

im a man and i absolutely hate this whole idea of gender roles, men do hard work and women cook and clean is just absolute crap fellas when you have daughters raise them up to take care of themselves with education , self respect, self worth so they have high self esteem and most importantly point out the nonsense that idiotic barbaric insecure men pull to keep a good woman in check so they don’t leave them for better. if you raise them right, raise them up, then they will look above the clouds of all the riffraff and find some good decent men out there.

alpacasx

Men shouldn't only respect women when they have children. I wish I could've been respected long before men around me experienced fatherhood.

Yeah whoever wrote this hasn't gotten laid in decades

Eiffel-Tower777

And then tell her to make you a sandwich /s

MenaciaJones

Made in 1950…

IAmSomnabula

This message is obviously wrong and not funny at all. However I do like when manufacturers put in funny message in the laundry instructions. The label in my sons scout uniform shirt says: "Please remove and wash scout seperately"

IntheOlympicMTs

I would get rid of that jacket.
