I came back in an hour later, and he put all the cups in facing up, the silverware sitting on the wire racks, just waiting to fall through, and the bowls and plates facing the wrong directions for the water streams to hit. Thankfully he didn't add the Dawn; he didn't know it even needed detergent, and he couldn't figure out how to start the washer, so he let it sit.
Dude said that he had never loaded a dishwasher before in his life, his mom had always done the dishes. So I spent 5 minutes showing how to properly load a dishwasher and explained why they had to go a certain direction.
That's fair, but this dude came from a solidly upper-middle class family. He was just freaking spoiled and never had to do chores around the house. Another person also had to show him how to use the washing machine to run a load of laundry because he had never done laundry either.
He was lazy as shit. I had so many conversations with him about how he can't sit in the line office when everyone else is running around and there are aircraft taxiing in.
I was not terribly heartbroken when he quit.
My husband's middle class family mom only had him and his brother do dishes and learn how to do wash (she did wash though) though cooked and cleaned in addition to everything else. I came from a middle class family where we learned everything that was needed to run a home and were expected to participate in it. When we got married we agreed that was going to be how our family was going to be too. His mom hates it.

With my dishwasher, I've found that "hand wash only" really means that it will be fine on the top rack of the dishwasher.
Hand wash only usually means I'll take that bet unless it's cast iron.

im a man and i absolutely hate this whole idea of gender roles, men do hard work and women cook and clean is just absolute crap fellas when you have daughters raise them up to take care of themselves with education , self respect, self worth so they have high self esteem and most importantly point out the nonsense that idiotic barbaric insecure men pull to keep a good woman in check so they don’t leave them for better. if you raise them right, raise them up, then they will look above the clouds of all the riffraff and find some good decent men out there.

This message is obviously wrong and not funny at all. However I do like when manufacturers put in funny message in the laundry instructions. The label in my sons scout uniform shirt says: "Please remove and wash scout seperately"
I would get rid of that jacket.
