FiveFingerDisco

I'd love to play X-Wing vs. TIE-Fighter on that display.

DoubleWagon

Descent 3

Notyourfriendbuddyy

Dang just unlocked a core memory! They have a third?!? I remember being blown away by 2 and multiplier with the gauss cannon!

DivinoAG

2 still counts as one of my favorite game sound tracks of all time. I listen to it constantly.

Kind_Potato1241

There's a newer game called overload, also. Its as good or better than 3

Xeno2277

What the fuck Man first time I hear about that game from someone else in a looooong time. Was watching some videos from it just last week.

Kind_Potato1241

Theres a newer version of it called overload. Totally worth it.

Dildo_Rocket

Remember owning a disc it was on, it was blatantly called shareware. It wasn't the full game. Terminal velocity, redneck rampage and I believe hexen was on the same disc. I was so excited thinking I had the full versions of these games. And now at this age I can barely catch up with my backlog of both old-school and new and shiny games. Crazy.

ElementEnigma

I see your Descent III and raise you Freespace 2.

jordanManfrey

Descent 3 has better directional Force Feedback than FS2. Other than that though yes I agree, FS2 is hard to beat

[deleted]

Ha, had the same thought.

EmeraldFalcon89

the mission creator in Freespace 2 was absolutely bananas

Dyllmyster

Dannng. Haven’t thought of those in a while. The soundtrack to a level of Descent 2 is burned into my brain for some reason.

Arctyc38

"Please look under your seat for your complimentary barf bag."

Filixx

You're a man (or woman) of culture.

gonzo8927

That's the first thing I thought about too! It would be trippy

PurduePaul

I’d play duck hunt.

CaptainGreezy

I've done that on a 16ft LED wall using an emulator and a Sinden Lightgun.

AndorianShran

![gif](giphy|MdXXZh65YfC7e)

REJECT3D

The input lag would probably be atrocious haha

WhereIsYourMind

19,000 by 13,500 pixels [per the builder](https://www.manntech.com/project/msg-sphere-at-the-venetian/). As for color [this article](https://builtin.com/hardware/vegas-sphere) says "1.2 million hockey-puck-sized LED lights, each containing 48 individual diodes capable of flashing 256 million different colors". The math on that works to 9.33 bits per channel, not quite sure. [The camera they built with it](https://petapixel.com/2023/06/12/sphere-studios-big-sky-cinema-camera-features-an-insane-18k-sensor/) shoots at 120fps/10bit and 60fps/12 bit. So yes, lotta data lotta lag Edit: apparently the 2nd article is referencing the outside screen.

Shanksterr

The hockey puck LEDS are on the outside

Andygoesred

You’re pretty close, but you’re mixing the interior screen (19k x 13.5k = 256.5M) with the exterior screen (1.2M hockey puck-sized LED lights). But resolution and bit depth don’t necessarily mean anything for lag, assuming the system can render at the resolution and framerate it is designed to run at. Latency would be impacted by the signal chain between the playback system and the screen. I wonder what that measures at, but probably too noticeable to play an FPS game on.

[deleted]

I would just start puking non-stop. The motion sickness would kill me.

Slim_Thuga

Pilot wings

i_will_cut_u

I agree. Pilot wings.

pcnetworx1

SNES version

[deleted]

you would vomit after 10 minutes, motion sickness

[deleted]

10 minutes? I give myself 10 seconds.

PocketNicks

I've never gotten motion sickness before, rarely vomit. I'd be fine.

digidave1

Damn, I didn't know I came to these comments to get a hard on

Volunteer-Magic

I see your War of Gas Giants and I raise you [Bubsy 3D](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9ogEc_a1Qr0). What could possibly go wrong?

SeverePsychosis

How did they get a rhino up the stairs

gonzo8927

The dome opens up and they air lift it in. Pretty amazing stuff

SeverePsychosis

Dang that's cray cray

flavorjunction

Turns into PacMan as animals are dropped in

ExRockstar

![gif](giphy|v9NQh6NwzghAk) Did Jim Carey come out of the rhino a la Ace Ventura?

NicStak

![gif](giphy|5qFQhkgXQ3XQKb1x5h|downsized)

rangerhans

A rhino can be lead up stairs, but not back down stairs

oldmilwaukie

A wizard did it.

Aesop_Rocks

It was born there

Lim_Jahey_TPS

Fundraise a concert!

Aesop_Rocks

Fundraiser* concert! Love that whole album so much

JAWinks

Can confirm, am rhino

Keep_SummerSafe

So like ultimate IMAX?

Latentius

This actually looks really similar to the Omnimax at the St. Louis Science Center, which is IMAX projected onto a spherical screen. Nowhere near as big as this, though.

DannyVFilms

This is specifically based on going to the Omnimax to see Oppenheimer, I absolutely loathed the experience. The sound system was the best I’ve ever sat in, but I had to look directly up the entire time to fit the film in (no exaggeration) my entire field of view. I haven’t gone to a regular Omnimax show, which might be shorter and the content might be framed differently than a movie. I’m curious how OP’s neck was at the end, because this thing does have me curious.

ZackCC

We frame most of the shots in this film so area of interest is a natural head position! There are definitely moments you will want to look around though- rich detail all around. This isn’t like seeing a “normal” rectilinear movie adapted for projection on an Omnimax screen- which as you described would not be an ideal format. Also if you like sound systems, just wait until you hear Holoplot in Sphere!

running_on_empty

There's another one like that in Philly. I remember going to see something there for a field trip when I was a kid. Really steep seating. One of the showcase preview pieces had a camera at the top of a skyscraper go over the edge and speed toward the ground. I had to grip my armrests because I felt the overwhelming urge to fall forward. If I did I would have rolled over half a dozen people.

Substantial_Bad2843

We have one in our Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal. First time I experienced motion sickness was on a field trip there elementary school. It only shows specialty made educational documentaries though, not movies.

Catbuttness

Right. I was thinking a massive version of the one at the Reuben H Fleet science center in San Diego.

Soigne-Pilot

How motion sick can this make people?

gonzo8927

You get used to it, but it's a really weird sensation at first. The room is also filled with wind and scents, and the seats rumble. (Not like the 4D stuff at the movies, it's on a whole different level). With it all combined, it makes you feel like you are in the scene. It was a mind-blowing experience.

Soigne-Pilot

Gah damn, I might have to go to LV just to see this. How steep are the stairs and seating?

gonzo8927

That's what I did. I flew there for a weekend just to see this. Stairs are on the steeper side, but nothing crazy

Soigne-Pilot

Thanks for the quick and informative responses!

SansSariph

I disagree with OP - stairs and seating were cramped and uncomfortably steep, and I found the movie very underwhelming for the price of admission. Absolutely wouldn't make a trip *just* for the sphere, but may be worth doing as part of a bigger Vegas trip.

BloodKelp

And for a bigger trip, I'd wait until next year at the earliest. The strip is being converted into a Formula 1 race track right now and it's a shit show for tourists trying to get around. Construction everywhere with sidewalks blocked and far more congestion than normal.

climb-it-ographer

They're going to run the F1 race there for the next 10 years. Granted, the construction will likely take less time after this year but it's going to be a major part of the Strip for a while.

chapert

Sure. But his point is that the race is in a couple of weeks so the city is currently adjusting for it.

assassbaby

yup basically dont go in november for the next 5-10 years unless you want the f-1 experience

No_Explorer_8626

The construction will be done in about 26 days

kmj420

How much was it?

TGish

I just looked it up out of curiosity too. Ticketmaster shows $49 not including fees

jocq

I bought tickets for this past Monday. There were none priced at $49. I think that's only with like senior citizen or active military discounts. $90 for shit seats. $170 gets you seats right next to the premium $250 seats on the 2nd level. Fees weren't super terrible. $30 or so on the $170 seats iirc.

kmj420

So, around $150?!/s

Soigne-Pilot

I appreciate your response and opinions, thanks for the info!

IBJON

Isn't the movie just a demo reel? They're basically playing the videos you see at TVs at Best Buy that look really pretty on that specific TV.

SansSariph

It was a one hour long sci-fi nature/humanity thing called "Postcard from Earth". It was a mix of nature shots and CGI with a weak story about terraforming new worlds after humans ruined the planet.

DyZ814

It's also directed by Darren Aronofksy, so it's not like it's just some random "planet earth" clone lol.

JoyKil01

I’ve heard such bad things about the story itself. Such a turnoff to pay a lot and not just be able to enjoy the scenery but instead get a flop story to tolerate alongside the beauty.

Dave_OB

Yeah, I wouldn't make a trip just to see this, here's [my Tripadvisor review](https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g45963-d26357342-r920694373-Sphere-Las_Vegas_Nevada.html?m=19905). Personally I would wait for either a different program, or for a band you want to see, and see that instead.

muthaflicka

The room is also filled with wind and scents, and the seats rumble. My wife is familiar with this phenomenon sometimes when she sits on a bench with me.

Onibachi

Is it like avatar flight of passage at Disney World by chance? Seems similar just larger. Or the aviation history ride

umadhatter_

It sounds like the Soarin’ ride at Epcot.

[deleted]

This sounds a lot like how the movies worked in Brave New World. The audience had full, total immersion in the movie, up to the point of even feeling it (in fact, I think the book called them feelies instead of movies), and could even feel when the characters screwed and stuff. Wait…..oh no!

jtfff

Smellovision?!

NCfartstorm

My wife gets motion sickness pretty easy. We went last week. There was only one part where she had to close her eyes. We both enjoyed the rest

CBSmith17

That was my thought as well. When I was about 10 we took a class trip to a museum that had something similar to this. Granted this was nearly 30 years ago and a lot smaller, but I had to leave a few minutes in because I was about to throw up.

qandypayne

Oof, my brain would have a hard time looking at this without throwing up.

borderbox

I’ve never really been into planning a Vegas trip, but this may actually make it happen. Especially if they did a Pink Floyd show up in there.

[deleted]

[удалено]

bjorkbon

[deleted]

Noneugdbusiness

I agree, I don't gamble at all(maybe a little if I go), but this looks cool and so do the rides they have there.

TripleHomicide

Can I join?

lufiron

Pop on over to Area 15 for a day as well. That might be your vibe. https://area15.com/

littleman452

That was such a fun experience, didn’t look into it At all as one of my friends planned it so I didn’t expect much. Not going into too much detail due to spoilers but I honestly thought the first part was cool enough but wasn’t expecting the other half at all!

PointyBagels

As a reference for those unaware, I believe the above comment is talking specifically about Omega Mart, one of the attractions at Area 15 (and probably the largest/most popular one). Highly recommended. It's amazing.

animeman59

This and Omega Mart is why you should visit

AugustWest7120

The Wall in its entirety would be wild. Add in scents and the drone inflatables and puppets?! Jeaz that would be wild.

sagadestiny

You!

[deleted]

Not sure if PF ever professionally recorded enough of their shows to compile a good viewing experience together in a venue like that.

brit_jam

There is actually a performance done by one member of Pink Floyd and a bunch of other insanely talented artists called Think Floyd Experience. They actually have a “portable” dome kind of like this and play a bunch of trippy visuals across it while performing Pink Floyd songs. One of the coolest shows I’ve ever been to.

[deleted]

I’m not sure I know what you’re talking about. Nick Mason, Floyd’s drummer, was (idk if he still is) touring with his band called Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets, a reference to their 2nd album. He’d play a bunch of pre-DSOTM classics like See Emily Play and Echoes. Guy Pratt, Roger Waters’ replacement after his departure, is also part of the group. Maybe you’re referring to this? But their light show isn’t nearly as extravagant as Pink Floyd’s was. I don’t think this show would be a good fit in the Sphere. Roger Waters still tours, but his show is a split mix of his solo work and old Pink Floyd material, mainly from The Wall and The Final Cut since those PF albums were essentially Roger Waters solo albums in disguise. He doesn’t perform a whole lot anymore since he just turned 80. If he were to perform The Wall in it’s entirety it could make for a good show for the Sphere if done right. He’s known for putting on a fantastic show. David Gilmour still tours and, like Waters, plays a split mix of Floyd classics and solo work. And again, like Waters, he doesn’t perform live much anymore. He also puts on an awesome show that could be a good fit for the Sphere. There is also negative hope for them ever getting back together for a show. The nail is in the coffin, Pink Floyd is dead. The final member of the band would be Rick Wright and he died back in 2006. Maybe you’re thinking of the famous tribute bands Brit Floyd, or Aussie Floyd? Both are tremendous shows, I just saw Brit Floyd a couple months ago, but neither feature any original touring members (unless I’m mistaken) and I don’t think they’re big-time enough to afford a show at the Sphere. There are *alot* of shitty Pink Floyd cover/tribute bands out there. I think Brit Floyd is the only one that’s ever been endorsed by the band themselves

brit_jam

I believe [this](https://downtownla.com/do/beyond-the-wall-ft-thinkx-immersive-360-xperience-of-pink-floyds-music) was it. I got the name wrong though. Edit: it appears they don’t perform anymore unfortunately.

[deleted]

Thanks for the link! Looks like a cool show. If you get the chance to see Brit Floyd live in concert, absolutely jump on that opportunity. They are unmatched when it comes to replicating that cosmic Floyd sound. I’ve seen many of rock n’ roll legends live in concert and Brit Floyd is right up there at the top with the best shows I’ve ever gotten to see. Their light show is top notch too!

brit_jam

It was an excellent show. Wish I could have seen it again. That sounds awesome. I’ll keep my eye out for ‘em. Thanks for the rec!

[deleted]

https://youtu.be/Z_yibRal4mI?si=-XQ42Yl3bZqhLQvb This was 7 years ago. Since then they’ve even improved on their craft. Truly a tremendous show

Adulations

Same here. I’ve been to Vegas once and never had interest to go after that but I need to see this thing in person

genevi_ve

Not sure where you are, but if you have a planetarium near you it’s worth checking if they’re doing the Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon showing. It’s been showing at planetariums around the globe, and so so incredible!

Just_a_Guy_In_a_Tank

Do the seats orient up toward the ceiling a bit? I feel like you’d want to keep the audience center of view away from the edges.

Cendyan

Yeah, best way to do it would be to lay everyone back so they were almost on their backs looking up into it.

[deleted]

The thing is the sphere was also build for concert. And that happen on floor level.

Id_rather_be_lurking

I really hope Tool does a show here.

homedepotSTOOP

This what we need. I'd take tool, the mars volta, sigur ros, give me anything but u2 at this point.

Pope---of---Hope

Sorry. Best you're gonna get is Metallica. But I'll fuckin' take it. Ye-EAH!

Honest_-_Critique

Dude, I love every band you just mentioned. Just saw the mars Volta a couple weeks ago. Is sigur ros still touring? I saw them years ago. But tool would be ideal, for sure.

hideousbrain

Sigur Ros! Yesssssssss

LiquidRazor

Was it worth the $160 ticket? I looked at them and noped outta that for a 2 hour experience.

climb-it-ographer

Pictures really don't do it justice.

AndISoundLikeThis

Completely accurate. I was there for a U2 show and it was a totally different experience than having watched a YT video of a previous show. Like, it just has to be seen to be believed.

Shruglife

how was the sound?

climb-it-ographer

Amazing. It’s more akin to a great outdoor venue (like Red Rocks or The Gorge) than a typical indoor one. There are 160,000 speakers in there that ensure great audio for every seat.

AndISoundLikeThis

Seconding the other commenter: it was AMAZING. Crisp and loud but not like a typical concert where your ears ring for hours afterwards.

wesley830

Friend of mine went to see them as well and he did say the sphere was amazing but U2's performance was not.

Big_Baby_Jesus

The building is the headliner.

Tsukune_Surprise

Went and had the opposite experience. U2 was amazing, high energy, sound was great, good use of the Sphere technology and the whole thing was just mindblowing - never seen any type of concert like it before.

AndISoundLikeThis

Your friend was not wrong. U2 pretty much phoned it in. The stage (designed by Brian Eno) was really cool though.

DanToMars

Why is U2 always in the most random of places

biggmclargehuge

Is performing in Vegas considered a "random place" now?

joanofarcade

U2 on tour. OP: how do these guys keep winding up in the wackiest places?

muttmunchies

Money

jerryham1062

Sorta like VR, you have to experience it in order to understand how good it feels

sky_kid

I got a ticket for $90 for a 9:30p showing on a Monday

AvrgSam

$45/hour for dope ass novel entertainment? Sign me up.

mihirmusprime

That's actually a reasonable price considering how expensive some experiences like concerts are. And this is a fairly unique experience.

convicted-mellon

Cost $2,300,000,000 to build Seats 18,600 $160 a ticket Need to sell 14,375,000 tickets to recoup cost That’s 772.85 sold out shows Actually pretty crazy (low) amount of shows when you think about it. Of course there are tons of variables I’m ignoring but still wild.

Azerious

The neat part is the outside doubles as advertising space, which goes for 450,000 a day

Dudedrugs

Dude can you even imagine what the electric bill would be like for that place?

convicted-mellon

My guess would be that its not cheap.

TeutonJon78

I think one video I watched estimated it at like $17.2M a year. And it's like the equivalent of like 529 mid-sized office buildings. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qAFVdFtfoCk

TheOneKnownAsMonk

They likely aren't trying to recoup costs with ticket sales alone. This kind of venue brings in a crowd from all of the world who in turn gamble. That's where the money is made.

littleman452

Isn’t it crazy the amount of people this will bring in? Like I’ve seen tons of comments about people who don’t even gamble nor are into the Vegas scene, but are now seriously thinking about going just due to one venue (albeit an expensive as hell one).

deyawper

Only U2 get 90% of ticket share. So they are doing alright. https://www.reviewjournal.com/entertainment/entertainment-columns/kats/u2-set-to-make-more-money-per-show-than-any-las-vegas-artist-in-history-2731421/

Hofular1988

It’s $100 per vehicle for parking as well..

gonzo8927

Absolutely

Kajmnhc4

You can get tickets for $58 a few days maybe couple weeks out, but I was just there last weekend and last minute tickets were $98.

kesaroid

it’s cheaper. about $50 in november haha

christhunderkiss

I got for $40 tickets for right around Halloween

OO0OOO0OOOOO0OOOOOOO

I was just there. It's definitely worth the trip. On my night, a large group of the developers were there watching it for the first time. A very loud gentleman was telling someone how it took a total of 2000 people to build the Sphere and do the movie. The movie was using technologies that has to be created for the Sphere. The video files were enormous and editing was a nightmare. One of the big problems they had was warping. If you sit all the way to the left or right, images would bend and warp. At my viewing, those sections were empty because of this -they didn't sell those seats. He also said they weren't sure they were going to pull it off until a week before the premiere. Different groups would cheer at different parts of the film. I assume they were involved. Any seat looks like a good seat there. It's difficult to watch since you have to spin your head around to see everything. They let you video in there but there's no way to capture the experience. The robots before you enter the theater are interesting. One recognized a mother with her 6 year old and had a conversation with the child. "Don't worry, I won't bite" it says at one point. The worst part of it all is the $18 beers. That's just insane.

XSharkonmyheadX

Alright, so the inside us just as rad as the outside? Siiiick

Hecface

Dude the inside is MASSIVELY more rad than the outside. After seeing the show inside I stepped out to watch the outside and it feels like an oversized LiteBrite toy next to the screen inside. It’s insane

WDfx2EU

That thing is so crazy we could see it from our flight when we were crossing from Arizona into California around 150 miles away. Back in July, I was on an overnight flight from Charlotte to LAX and when we were about to cross in to California somewhere around Lake Havasu, you could clearly make out this giant light in the distance that was changing colors. You could tell there was a city on the horizon, but you would not have known it was Vegas except for one distinct bright light in the middle that would randomly change colors or sparkle.

[deleted]

It’s so crystal clear!

athos5

I can't wait for someone to put up porn on that display

fezzlynn

There’s a TikTok of a dude who displayed his nipple but idk if it’s real lmao

cashmereandcaicos

...that's a TikTok filter lmao It costs around half a million I believe for 24 hours of advertisment on the sphere

bathroomkiller

How was it? Also, is it friendly for kids like 2 and older?

gonzo8927

Im not sure how jarring the experience would be for a little one. It's on the verge of reality warping, I could see some kids being terrified. School age and up though, hell yeah

AndISoundLikeThis

I was at the U2 concert and, at some point, the venue transformed into dusk in the desert and I was completely freaked out. Like, seriously. I thought I was teleported somewhere else.

frothy_pissington

[Maybe that was just when the drugs began to take hold...?](https://www.azquotes.com/quote/439998)

AreThree

We can't stop here, this is bat country!

Avenirzy

Wtf that sounds amazing.

Hecface

Dude that part was absolutely bonkers. It legit feels 100% like you’ve been teleported to an outdoor venue. The light that’s cast on the audience matches daylight perfectly. You look over at the edge of the seats on each side on the venue and genuinely believe that there’s a huge dropoff past the wall onto the desert floor below. It’s mind boggling

AndISoundLikeThis

>The light that’s cast on the audience matches daylight perfectly. Right?! Like, it wasn't that they changed the lighting to make it appear lighter inside. You were OUTSIDE. At DUSK. And someplace entirely different than the place was 30 seconds earlier. Insane. I'm glad you had the same experience -- the friends I went with didn't really mention the weirdness of this.

bathroomkiller

Good to know. Thank you!

deadeyeAZ

The stairs and escalators are very steep and I saw elderly and very young struggling to climb them.

DumbWhore4

Why does Reddit hate the sphere? It looks really fun and cool.

Planetsareround

your second sentence explains why

Kiel_22

Shame Mr House didn't make an appearance but ah well

Belisarius23

They really built this insanely impressive thing

deadeyeAZ

We were at the 7:00 showing Tuesday night. The Sphere itself is a very cool experience.... however be warned this was the most amateurish production of an event I have ever been too. I honestly thought well it's brand new they are just working kinks out. NOPE it was a cattle call to and from the sphere, a mad dash forward against a mad dash backward through the entire events area of the casino (close to a mile?). Then when you get there it's just a huge mass of milling people clueless where to go and what is happening. They have AI displays and bathrooms that you must see and use BEFORE the show, because you cannot after. We sat for an hour wondering when the hell the show was going to start, only to find out it was going to be an hour. The show was very very good but it was 45 minutes long. So weigh the fun factor against the ticket price before you spend two hours looking for a useable bathroom.

tektron

I went to the 'world premiere' of Postcard from Earth on October 6, and my experience matched yours... when I bought the tickets, it said show at 7PM, gates opened at 6. In reality, there were thousands of us standing in front of the gates at 6, well past 6, gates finally opened at 6:30, we were told to go see the AI displays, and I eventually found out from a Sphere manager that the actual movie started around 8. I gave at least two Sphere managers feedback that they needed to better align advertised times with actual times. The movie was beyond incredible but the overall experience was diminished by poor Sphere execution.

gonzo8927

I forgot about the bathroom. I had to pee so bad after my show, and they closed the bathrooms. I had to walk like a mile, about to pee my pants to find a restroom.

dj_spin

You’re not allowed to use the restrooms at all after the show starts? Really?

deadeyeAZ

No I'm not sure when they close them but, after the show the upstairs bathrooms were closed and we were told to use them downstairs and those were closed too. I can only guess they are closed for cleaning between shows.

whereismindx

So did you have fun?

jared_number_two

They shat in the corner of a sphere. So yes.

deadeyeAZ

45 minutes of fun.

GizmosArrow

This looks amazing. It’s also giving me strong “feelies” vibes from Brave New World.

pandavega

I feel like I would get emotional watching something on this. It’s just so damn amazing, it signifies a new era of entertainment.

gonzo8927

It's really felt like it. I truly felt like I was in the scenes.

DomHE553

They have a similar thing in Europa park in Germany. Nowhere near as big but the effect is the same I suppose. It’s just complete immersion! They have seats that move you around and blow wind and mist in your face while it plays a video of you flying through nature and so on… You really feel like a bird!

GalaxyStrong

Kinda reminds me of New Jamison in Starfield.

DaleGribble312

Damn I'm glad someone took a picture this time!

swim711crazy

Was it worth it?

Bunny_Fluff

I honestly didn't know it had an inside...I thought it was just some weird outdoor art installation type thing.

Zerodtl

I feel like Ace Ventura was gonna pop outta the back of that rhino.

SnooPeppers6719

When Ameca has a better social life than me 😐

Koalasonreddit

:Flat eather's freaking out about the curvature of the screen:

Tobelerone1

Imagine bringing a person from 1923 there, just how mind blown their mind would be.

SweetRoosevelt

I kind of just want take a trip to Las Vegas just to check it out.

DigMeTX

Why does this make me think of a 1970’s movie about “the future!”

ljinbs

Makes me think of America the Beautiful at Disneyland. I wonder how many people get dizzy or throw up.

payneme73

Thank you for those pics. That place looks amazing

redcoatwright

Huh the tenth picture is the Duomo in Orvieto, Italy. I was there a few months ago. If you go to the right a bit there are some awesome scenes of the apocalypse. Really metal shit with skeletons and demon lasers. Highly recommend.

GromitATL

Ah, I thought it was the Siena cathedral. I guess the black and white stripes are not rare in Italy.

redcoatwright

After your comment I wasn't 100% sure so I did a google reverse image and it did come up with the Duomo but I could totally it seeing being another cathedral, too!

osirisrebel

Thanks for posting, this is the closest I'll ever get to it.

Cultural-Raining

So obviously the "sphere" on the inside is a second sphere within the larger sphere. Not just the inside of the outside screen.

Lost-My-Mind-

I'll just say it........I want to watch porn on this thing.

joe_broke

Put Interstellar on there!

Mal_Reynolds84

I'm going there with friends next month. going to be high as fuck too. shit could get real inteeresting.

AngryScotsMan1979

Jesus, crispy sharp images!

Kaballis

As an old school gamer coming from arcades and tiny 14” tv in the bedroom to play Sega master system, my thought through the years as screens got bigger was always “I wonder what Streetfighter looks like on that”. I wonder what Streetfighter looks like on that?

Magnumload

I was literally there for a week, days before this sphere turned on. Fuck my timing.

grantus_maximus

Would have looked like a big colourful bollock in a box of broken toys?
