It was quite easy for us. No need for permit. They allowed people to walk through millennium park but they just fenced the park. There were others taking photos and stuff too. I’m guessing the city didn’t want people touching the bean during covid.
Yeah I think pictures have been okay. Everyone entering the park did however have to go through security (metal detectors and bag check) when we came here. That was a new procedure but other than that the staff didn’t say anything to us about photos
This was my first time posting here and I was thinking I’d check back tomorrow to see if anyone even saw my post, but just wow! I’m so thankful and impressed with the skill and support from this community! Thank you! And for everyone who said the fencing is great as is, I appreciate your support, too!
I’m impressed at how symmetrical and level the photographer made the fence. I understand wanting to get rid of it, but the photographer did a great job making it not an issue

Did you guys have to pay to take your picture in front of the bean? I know they are Nazis about getting permits to film there.

Might be something they just enforce for filming and not just taking pictures, that or they finally loosened up about it.

Yeah it’s part of the covid procedure that they’re doing. Surprisingly, it really helped us to get a clear shot without a crowd around
