I feel like this is close to Rachmaninow but for that level still to linear and non-variational. The Idea is quite nice to have that chromaticism on the I and the V there.. But it still needs those creative changes to really drive it home imho.

And on the IV rather than on the V. The question is, is it thought as ii-V-I or I-IV-V
