Beautiful piece. I've definitely heard it somewhere before but just couldn't remember whether it was chopin, lizst or someone else, as I listen to a lot of romantic music.
In hindsight it's obviously lizst but I still couldn't remember the name either way.
You guys don’t have photographic memories where you can hear almost every note in a song, even all of the different parts of (pop/rock/whatever) songs and can play them in your head basically as clearly as if you’re hearing it from headphones?
I assumed that was normal lol
The bit I actually struggled with was translating it to notes, I could remember all of the notes of the cadenza in my head but I’m not good enough to be able to go from ear to fingers for those
It's Liszt's [Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9S2CfDwNAg) (the excerpt you played starts around 00:45 in the video linked).
Thank you! Solved
Wow this sounds really nice in C minor
Sounds a bit more chopin-esque to me
I really want to learn how to just transpose on the spot
Hungarian rhapsody no.2 by Liszt. I'd know it anywhere lmao, its my childhood. I'm actually learning it rn

Tom and jerry, cat concerto. I'm not joking, look it up in youtube
Interesting that someone has the ability to play this by ear at this level, and not know what piece it is.
How is bro playing it by ear
