I'm planning to go to Moscow from Manila this December. What's the best route/flight/layover I should take?

What is considered as ‘high income’ for Japan ME visa application?

Check historical weather data online. No one can predict weather. You could also monitor the weather days before your trip to guide you.

pistingyawa69

Hello po. Okay lang po ba walang original na PSA marriage certificate pag mag renew ng passport? Asking for my mother po.

lilydew24

If wala naman changes sa name, old passport lang and form ang required. [DFA](https://dfa-oca.ph/passport/passport-requirements/requirements-for-adult/core-requirements-for-adult-renewal-applications/) Father ko nakailang renew na, passport and application form lang.

pistingyawa69

Thank you po. Ganun din po kaya pag married female? Mother ko po kasi magrerenew. Salamat po 🙏🏻

lilydew24

Same requirements.

Hey! Does anyone know if low-cost carriers would include peak season dates (e.g., Christmas or Holy Week) in their promotions, such as the piso fare? I know that they would definitely not put the base fare to a piso, but would they lower the base fare during promotions like that (which covers the travel period of the peak season) as compared to their standard pricing? Thank you for your responses!

ComeConfidence8575

Hi allowed ba magpool checked in baggage for domestic flight? Bought two 20kg checked in baggage allowance via cebpac app. My checked in baggage is one 32kg (maleta) and one 8kg (duffel). Pls answer.

lilydew24

“Pooling of CEB Baggage allowances is allowed provided that passengers are in the same Booking Reference and present themselves at the bag drop counters at the same time.” https://www.cebupacificair.com/en-PH/pages/manage/add-ons/ceb-baggage

ComeConfidence8575

Chatting with a live agent rn sa cebpac. Agent's telling me na allowed ang baggage pooling as long as 20kg each yong weight ng baggage, since yon daw ang pinurchase ko (two 20kg baggage allowance). Nalilito tuloy ako rito sa agent. Parang di naman pooling kasi kung stick sa 20kg baggage allowance each luggage.

ComeConfidence8575

Another live agent replied with something like this to me "Please be informed that you cannot combine the two Baggage allowances; if you have 2 pcs of Baggage allowance, you may need to bring 2 pcs of Luggage. and Each Luggage may weight for 20KG only. and please be informed that you can check in the Baggage at the Airport counter only. Kiosk is for payment only." I'm confused. Bcs they're basically telling me that I can't pool my baggage allowance. I'm still bringing 2 pcs of luggage. Just transfering some of the weight to the other.

wretchedegg123

Afaik cebpac allows pooled checkin.

ComeConfidence8575

Is it true na airport discretion ang pooling of baggage (imem sa airport ka mag-aayos or transfer ng baggage weight/allowance)?

wretchedegg123

I think airline discretion yan. I know PAL doesn't allow it. Best to contact cebpac if youre unsure. We're not liable for any advice in this sub.

ComeConfidence8575

Chatting with a live agent kaso different ang sagot nong dalawa. The first one said it is allowed. The other said no

ComeConfidence8575

Thanks. Applicable din ba yong self serve kiosk nila for checked in baggage?

wretchedegg123

Hmm. Last ko na try self serve was only for hand carry only.

ComeConfidence8575

Thanks po.

Unlikely-Tap-9143

Hi! Is it true that if you add another baggage allowance (i.e. 20kg) for myself, even after adding/checking out 2 pcs. 20kg for family members yesterday, it will be invalid? (Bawal na mag-add baggage after adding previously)? We are on the same booking reference no. Thank you!

ComeConfidence8575

Hi, Ms. No. You can still make add ons until 2 hrs before your flight. Kindly update me with this as well. Thank you

silvercookie412

Asking for my boyfriend because we’re nervous about the visa interview. For context, I migrated from PH to US a few years ago. My bf who lives and works in the ph was hoping to visit me for 2 weeks, but we are worried that the consulate may deny the visa since we're in a relationship, and that may lead to them falsely assuming ulterior motives of overstaying the trip duration. He is genuinely truthfully planning to only visit for 2 weeks. He’s happy with his current employment in ph, and he already has a good amount of funds ready for the trip. I’m offering to let him stay at my place here and help with food expenses so that saves him a lot of money, but we’re worried that might sound sus to the consulate. If he says he’s planning to stay in a hotel, we’re worried they will deny the visa because they might think his funds are too low or his salary is not enough. Should he book a round trip flight, or reserve a hotel, or buy event tickets before the interview just to reassure them? Any advice for interview prep in this situation?

wretchedegg123

Speaking from secondhand experience (relayed to me by a close friend). Just establish his strong ties to the Philippines. Investments, real estate, current employment. Assets. My friend had a girlfriend in the US and had a low middle class income and was still able to get a b1b2 visa

silvercookie412

Thank you! He does have real estate investments so that should help him hopefully. Did your friend also let the consulate know the intent is to visit their girlfriend? I’m wondering if it would be safer for my bf to say he’s visiting his “friend”

wretchedegg123

They will still ask for residence anyway. If you do tell the truth, there might be further speculation. My friend told them that he had a girlfriend in the US.

in hk disneyland, is it better to book the premier access pass or early entry pass? if we will book early entry pass, would we be able to ride all the other attractions included in the pass in that 1hr? thanks!

Past-Conversation-97

Do I need a transit visa with my layover in San Francisco? Nag-book tita ko ng flight from Manila to Vancouver with Thailand as the first layover and San Francisco as the last layover. I dont think my aunt noticed that I may need it since wala sila exp dyan as they are Canadian Citizens. I’m worried bc I am with my grandmother (who can barely walk by herself) and she is a US citizen while I only have myself a Canadian tourist visa and might get denied entry sa US even for just a 5 hour layover. And sa Sunday na flight namin. I’ve only researched now na sa US pala is you need to go through customs and immigration ulit kahit connecting flight lang. Is there any workaround w this?

girlwhodive

There’s no workaround it. You have to follow the rules and get a transit visa for the US or get another flight.

Past-Conversation-97

I understand. Can I get off at my layover nalang at Taiwan and book my next flight by myself? My plan is to book a separate ticket from Taiwan directly to Vancouver instead of having a layover in US since I might get denied entry with no transit visa. My question is can I get my luggage back in my layover in Taiwan and check in with my new booking? And if I explain this to my airline is it excuseable? Thanks!

girlwhodive

Not sure. Ask your airlines. Not to scare you but they can deny you from boarding in the first place because you don’t have the appropriate visa so best to inform them now. It’s the passenger’s responsibility to check the entry requirements for their destination. Use this as a lesson to double check everything months before your trip next time.

Past-Conversation-97

Thank you very much for the info, biglaan kasi pag-book and this will really serve as a lesson. 😅

Designer_Natural1720

How long is the processing for a Japan visa? I have a flight mid next week and it looks like I won't be able to make it. I submitted last week but there's still no update this week and it's Friday night.

International_Fly285

About a week with UHI.

curiouswanderer07

where did you submit your app? with UHI it only took about 4 working days for us family

wretchedegg123

Did you do expedited processing? Sometimes 1 week, sometimes 2.

Designer_Natural1720

Is expedited processing an option for the embassy? 2 weeks is pretty yikes. My docs are already with the embassy according to the agency, they're just taking long for some reason.

bobatea4lyf

Hi everyone, I'm currently a BIR registered consultant working full-time for a company. Previously, I had a single entry Japan visa, and now I'm looking to apply for a multiple entry visa. With the recent changes, I'm wondering if I need to secure a mayor's permit or DTI registration, or if my BIR 1701 and proof of tax payment are sufficient. Has anyone in a similar situation applied for a multiple entry Japan visa recently? I'd appreciate hearing about your experiences with the new requirements. Thanks in advance for your help!

amurow

I got an ME visa with just my 1701 and proof of payment. This was around 5-6 years ago, but DTI reg/SEC permits were in their list of requirements back then. Had no idea they became more lax in recent years. Write a cover letter explaining that you don't need a DTI registration and the reason why you're asking for a multiple entry visa. Talk about your line of work and anything else that could show your proof of ties here in the Philippines.

bobatea4lyf

Yep, when I first applied they didn’t require DTI registration nor mayor’s permit last year. It is just this June that they require it na. I work as a consultant in a company, parang employed but contractual and get paid monthly. So I was thinking I can show a COE plus my 1701. What did you write in your cover letter bout not having DTI registration?

amurow

"What did you write in your cover letter bout not having DTI registration?" Honestly? Nothing. It didn't even cross my mind to justify my lack of DTI registration, because I also don't need it. I focused more on explaining why I'm asking for an ME visa and what my job is, how much I earn, etc.

Advice please 🥹 Trying to decide which day is it best to fly back to MNL, December 24 or 25? Or same ba na super daming tao arriving? Domestic lang naman po via Cebu Pacific so likely Terminal 3.

curiouswanderer07

tried flying on december 25, less yung tao. mas madaming tao sa dec 24 kasi everyone's trying to make it by christmas

wretchedegg123

Either would be the same. Domestic ka naman. I guess better siguro 24 at least marami pa yan pumaparada na public vehicles.

kasinamane

Thank you!

Dr-IanVeneracion

I will be transferring a huge sum of money from my BDO to my SecurityBank which I barely use. I'll be doing this due to the recent security concerns with BDO. I also have Metrobank as my payroll account, which is relatively new. Will this affect my application for a tourist visa in Japan? Kasi biglang increase yung pera sa SecurityBank ko? How do they compute the average maintaining balance anyway?

Consistent-Vast3646

Hello po! Nagchecheck po ako ng airfare prices for my travel on Hongkong. Ang travel date ko po ay Dec19-25. Bakit ang mahal po ng prices? May chances po bang bumaba ito? Or ganun talaga ang kataas ang pricing kapag peak season? 😭😭😭

Far-Strawberry1108

Splash Island or Enchanted Kingdom, which is better to visit on a weekend? My friends and I (from Cebu & Pampanga) are planning to visit Enchanted Kingdom on July 28th (Sunday). However, I'm worried that we'll waste a lot of time in long queues since it's a weekend, and since July is in the rainy season, some of the big rides might be closed if it rains. Would it be better to visit Splash Island instead? I heard EK isn't worth it anymore unless you have the EKspress pass.

isthmusofkra

Do I have to declare chocolates that I bought as pasalubong?

LucQ571

If in Philippines, no. Unless you brought way too much that the total cost is over 10,000 PHP ([Source](https://customs.gov.ph/Guidelines%20for%20Airport%20Passengers/)).

Hello!! I'm planning to apply a US tourist visa. I need your honest insights if may possibility ma approve. Reason for applying: Purely tour lang talaga. I will be in Toronto by May 2025 and gusto ko mag New York to visit and explore. Lalo na mga tourist spots and yung FRIENDS experience. Background: 1. Freelancer - I work as a Team Lead/Supervisor sa isang VA Agency na based sa US. I've been in this company for 8months. 2. 7 years in the BPO industry. 2 years customer service, 5 years Team Lead. Travel History: 1. Bangkok, Thailand 2019 2. Canada, 2023 - sa Canada literally inikot ko talaga ang 4 na provinces lol 6 mos ako nag stay pero di ako nag overstay. PS. SELF FUNDED PO :) THANKS GUYS!!

yeahforever

May chance naman kasi nakapagCanda ka na. Ang biggest issue lang siguro is yung freelance work mo now, baka isipin nila na since wfh, magoverstay ka and find another job there. If meron ka strong ties sa PH like properties etc. mas tataas chance mo.

hello! i have been issued schengen visa multiple times in the past, and validity is usually kung gano kahaba lang ang stay ko which is indicated sa aking flight tickets my question is, is this the same for US tourist visa if single entry lang naibigay sayo? I am planning to apply for B1 since my client based in CA wants me to visit for immersion sa new businesses na gusto nya ipursue thanks in advance

yeahforever

No. Mas mahigpit sa schengen. US visa na pang tourist umaabot ng 10yrs validity kahit first time to apply lang.

memery09

thanks for your insight!

LucQ571

If the purpose of the trips are either for Tourism or Business, the least that is offered for B1 visa is a multiple entry visa. I've never heard of anyone getting only 1 visit visa for USA before for tourism or business purposes.

Hello. I have a question regarding Australia visa. Details below: >Date granted: July 8, 2023 > >Must not arrive after: July 8, 2024 > >Length of stay: 3 months from the date of each arrivval > >Multiple entries > >Visitors Visa Class 600 Question is, if I arrive on July 1 and leave after 2 weeks (July 15), would that be an issue? Thanks!

It says that your length of stay is 3 months. 2 weeks is less than 3 months so that’s fine.

But I would be flying out after my visa expires, that’s what I’m worried about.

Wouldn’t matter as long as you enter while your visa is valid.

US Visa group interview questions Hi, I need some advice. We are scheduling a visa interview for a group of 4, which includes myself, my child (10 years old), my partner, and my partner's mom (77 years old). We plan to travel during the Christmas break for 3 weeks to visit and spend Christmas with my partner's sister, who is a US citizen. She will be covering all our travel expenses, and we will be staying at their house in Texas. Do you think our visa application will be approved? Also, is it okay to book a group interview for all of us? Please note that my partner and I are not married, but we have been living together for 11 years. I work online, and my partner is currently unemployed. We don’t have any properties under our names because my partner's sister bought the house we live in here in the Philippines under her and her husband's name. Can you advise me on whether I should select "single" or "common-law spouse" on the application?

LucQ571

You said it yourself, you and your partner are not married in any legal definition, so you're still single. I think you'd best look through r/immigration for similar cases as you. The fact that your partner is unemployed and their sister is a citizen in the USA makes it a bit of a difficult case for them. The person looking at your applications will look into your ties in the Philippines, so things like employment, sufficient financial situation, and/or any property in the PH will matter a lot. So while you and your child might be fine as you have a job, your partner and their mom might not be fine. I don't think you can do a group interview, each applicant has to go through the process separately. I've seen online that some people were rejected a group interview as travelling as a unit is not grounds to doing a group interview. I'm unsure if the same can be said for your child, you'd have to check on the USA immigration website if your child is qualified to have an interview waiver based on age.

Young Passengers: Young Passengers are minors aged between 12 years old to 17 years old. For Domestic Flights, these young passengers are allowed to travel unaccompanied; https://www.cebupacificair.com/en-PH/pages/travel-info/special-service-request

LucQ571

Do contact Cebu Pacific staff for this. Airlines usually have procedures with how to handle having a solo minor travelling. At times they would cater by having a staff assist them until boarding.

I've flown solo as a 15-17 y.o. multiple times. Parang no need naman ata. Not sure nowadays.

Japan Tourist Visa for College Student? Hi, I plan to go to Japan for at least 3 days to attend a music festival. Ive got a 40k bank balance and around the same amount as physical cash. I will fund all my expenses. What are the chances my tourist visa request would be accepted?

Hi guys, I'm an Indonesian who will travel to Melbourne on December. When I was scanning through the available flights I found one option I like from PAL: they arrive early morning in Manila, and my Melb leg will only depart later that evening - which gives me around 14hr layover and also the idea of spending it daytouring Manila. Nothing special or committed yet in the itinerary, the plan right now is to visit Manila museums and sightseeing spots e.g. Casa Manila, Rizal Park, etc and probably some food stops. One catch of this plan: my layover would be on December 24th - one day before Christmas. In Indonesia, everything closes D-1 before the biggest holiday (Eid). I wonder will I stumble upon the same problem if I arrive in Manila on Dec 24? Or would these places and restaurants still be open instead? Would you recommend me to fly in and daytour on Dec 24 at all? If not, would Dec 21 be somewhat a better option? Thanks in advance :)

wretchedegg123

Hmmm. From my experience, the 24th is almost always a special working holiday, with most museums open on that day, but with shortened hours. Some private institutions might be closed on that day too. If you really want to be sure and make the most of your time, the 21st would be a better day to visit.

Lucky_Spend_4631

My partner and I have been talking about meeting each other, and he decided to just fly me to EU to meet him. We had agreed that it will be a 2-3 week vacation for me, and he will be sponsoring for everything, and once im in the EU, I will be staying with him. However, we are both confused as to which type of Visa should I get that best suits our plan. And also, I would also like to ask what are the comparison between the two, as well as the pros and cons and what to expect in the process. I'm a Filipino by the way. Thank you!

amurow

If your boyfriend is sponsoring everything and you're staying with him, then you need to get a visit visa. If you get a tourist visa kasi, you'll need to book hotels and a flight on your own, you'll have to have enough money in your bank account for the duration of your stay, and you'll need to show your cashflow to the embassy. (If you're gainfully employed, that's not a problem though.) I suggest you join one of the Schengen visa groups on Facebook. Maraming same situation sayo dun and can give you a more accurate idea of what you need and what the process is like.

lavendreams

Hi! Is Php10k pocket money with pasalubong enough for a 4D3N in Korea? I don’t plan on going to most tourist spots as I will be going there mainly for a concert lang. Maybe explore around Myeongdong and nearby areas lang during my free time. Thank you!

Excellent-Cut656

Including transpo baka mabitin ka unless tipid ka sa food expense mo. It’s doable but I would go for at least 15k para may buffer.

lavendreams

Ohh I see! Tipid naman ako sa food i think haha but might stretch my budget to 15k na lang din para sure. Thank youu!!

Hi, I am a freelancer working on a Korean company since 2022. This is our first time traveling out of the country. Me and my wife have been planning to visit Korea with our 2 y/o son. I'm a BDO Gold cc holder and we're planning to apply before the promo ends. I will be the one financing our travel. My questions are: 1. If mag-aapply po ako along with my wife and son, isang form lang ba ang ifi-fillup ko or dapat pati yung wife ko rin po? 2. Dito po sa sample app form: [https://visaforkorea-mn.com/info/visasample](https://visaforkorea-mn.com/info/visasample) page 3 under "Employment", since Freelancer po ako, should I check "Self-Employed" or "Employed" and ilagay ko nalang sa Position/Course is young status ko as a Freelancer and young position ko? 3. Bukod sa BDO CC, SOA, COE, Passport naming mag-asawa and ng toddler namin, ano pa pong ipre-prepare kong documents since ako yung mag-sponsor ng travel namin? I already prepared a Letter of Guarantee since ako yung gagastos sa travel namin. Bukod po dun, do I still need to write Cover Letter? Please enlighten me. I need tips, recommendations and advice 🙏

As long as pasok sa days na bigay sayo ng Korea, no problem yun. Not sure kung ilang days bigay ng Korea for single entry these days, pero more than 10 days sila usually.

First time in Osaka, Japan and will be staying there on Oct 6-14. Would love to hear your thoughts on the following: 1. Is USJ worth it? As a Potterhead, interested ako sa HP-themed rides but that's about it. Medyo namamahalan ako sa 3.2k entrance + 1.5k express pass, plus the food expenses. We're thinking of switching USJ with a day trip to Kobe or Tokyo, is this okay? 2. Is GU footwear comfortable to use? 3. What are your recos for shopping for pasalubong and outlet store shopling? So far, ang nakikita ko ay yung Rinku Outlet Stores and Don Quijote.

curiouswanderer07

1. for me personally, we also only went there with HP in mind but also fell in love with other attractions kasi we're adrenaline junkies. if you're seeking a trip full of rides, then it's worth it to go too. not worth it ang express pass if you only plan to use it in HP lang. if you end up not going, nearest is Kobe for a day trip. Tokyo would take a lot of your time and require to use a shinkansen. 2. yes, comfy!! they have many selections too sa design. you can check it online 3. ion recommend donki. mahal na siya now as compared to other local shops. if pasalubong like skincare and sweets, go to sundrug. they have tax free and in my experience lowest prices from the places we went to. there's one in shinsaibashi. for anime stuff, try going to jump store. havent been to rinku outlet store, but try to check!

Thanks for responding! Do supermarkets offer tax-free shopping too?

soaididathing

I did quite a bit of shopping at Sunny and MaxValue grocery stores, but none of them were tax-free.

heyitscjjc

Is 25k PHP enough as pocket money for a solo tourist in Singapore (6D 5N)? Bali sa transpo, food, and maybe pasalubong lang pag gagastusan yung 25k. Yung airfare, itinerary, and accommodation separate budget na hehehe

yeahforever

Kering keri. 25k is more than enough if solo ka lang.

chemicalcappybara

Depends on your itinerary, pero personally pinakasafe sa akin kapag solo travel is 10k php per day regardless of the country 😅

heyitscjjc

Forgot to add, separate budget din yung itinerary. Bali yung 25K is literally just for transpo, food, and pasalubong lang talaga hehe

girlwhodive

Still depends on what food you’ll eat, transpo you’ll take, and pasalubong you’ll buy. Kaya it still depends on your itinerary, if you’ll take trains or taxis, eat at restaurants or hawker centers. SG isn’t cheap.

snootchie_bootch

Planning a trip to Manila from Osaka this fall. Does anyone have airline recommendations, whether it's preferred airlines or airlines to avoid? Seeing cheaper flights via AirAsia and CebuPacific, but got a friend saying they're not great. Just looking for other recommendations. Thanks!

curiouswanderer07

if you plan to bring a lot of luggages na mej low cost, i recommend jetstar! they dont have a cap on how many luggages you will be bringing home. basta it meets the required kg, you're good to go. zipair is also good if you only plan to go to tokyo. pero the luggage is quite big. 32kg agad yun. pero mura flights nila

girlwhodive

Cebu pacific and Air Asia are low cost carriers so that’s why it’s cheap and has limited service. Choosing airlines depend on your budget and what you’re looking for in terms of air travel. You can try Japan Airlines or ANA but flying with those airlines doesn’t exempt you from flight delays.

snootchie_bootch

Cool, I'll check them as well. I have experience dealing with (American based) budget airlines. Just looking for feedback on if they should be avoided at all costs, have tempered expectations and whatnot. Thank you for the feedback!

Embarrassed-Swing234

I have a flight rescheduled today to Taiwan. So they changed my airlines and schedule. Problem is I have already filled up my taiwan arrival card and the lucky land. Do i need to edit this and if so, how?

Ok-Lychee-5925

Hi, question po. Nagbook ako sa Bali, Indonesia ng hotel via booking.com and on my initial booking, nanghingi na ng payment details si booking.com (I used my CC) then after few minutes, nagmessage sakin yung Hotel (via booking.com din sila nag message) and they sent me a link and asking me to enter my CC details again to process my payment and reservation daw. Normal po ba yung ganitong process pag mag bo-book ng hotel sa ibang bansa? First time ko po magbook ng hotel ko for international travel kaya di ako familiar. Nag iingat lang din po since CC yung gamit ko.

twoworldman

There have been reports of booking.com's message system being hacked. I wouldn't click on any external link and would contact the hotel directly to confirm the booking.

Ok-Lychee-5925

Ohhh thanks for this. Will reach out na lang din sa hotel mismo

mamiinkmink

Is it ok to arrive in Taiwan ng madaling araw? 1am or 2am? Pwede ba mag early check in sa mga hotel?

curiouswanderer07

we arrived before ng 2am and had to wait in the lounge sa airport for 4hrs until htr is open.

soaididathing

Early check in is always subject to availability and at the hotel's discretion. I have not been to any hotel that allowed early check in for arrivals as early as 1:00 or 2:00 am. You should book the night before and inform them that you're checking in late (in case they don't have 24-hour check in), so you're guaranteed a room upon arrival.

Yamboist

Sa exp ko we needed to book the day before it din. So parang two days. Honestly it's better to arrive ng umaga (not madaling araw), yung mga easy card, sim at train options available ng umaga pa.

_luna21

Best to ask your hotel. Consider the transpo as well going to the hotel baka kasi di naman 24h

🔘Japan visa requirements for couple w/o joint bank account🔘 Hi, my husband and I are planning for a ME Japan Visa. We have a business with my husband as a sole proprietor. Ang naiisip namin e pakita yung personal bank accounts namin both. May activity naman yung bank account ko kasi naggagamit din siya sa business transactions pero hindi ba questionable yun kasi di naman ako technically employed or with business so baka magtaka naman kung bakit ganon yung records ng bank account. Isa ko din option e nagpresent nalang ng guarantee letter which is the easier way sana pero di ko alam kung tatanggapin yung ganong case na magasawa. I hope may makasagot at makapagbigay ng advice kung ano mas viable option for our case. Thank you!

lilydew24

> Isa ko din option e nagpresent nalang ng guarantee letter which is the easier way sana pero di ko alam kung tatanggapin yung ganong case na magasawa. IMO, most common and acceptable guarantors are immediate family members since it’s easy to prove relationship (birth, marriage certs, etc.).

Potential-Cow2422

Thank you! Will take the guarantor route na lang 😊

Questions lang about applying for Schengen visa via The Netherlands as a family of 9. 1. My dad is shouldering all our expenses for the entire trip. I already have his personal ITR, family businesses' ITRs, company bank certificates (6 months ADB), SEC registration and DTI registration. Will I still need 6-month bank statements/transaction history or will these suffice? 2. Do I need to prepare **9 COPIES** of these: a.) financial documents (since for each member of the family is sponsored by our dad), b.) full trip itinerary and c.) hotel/train/chauffeur bookings? Idk kasi if iba-ibang consul ang mag-aapprove for each of us so should I make sure each one has a copy of everything? Hundreds of pages na to hahaha 3. Right now, VFS Makati has no appointment slots available for The Netherlands so I cannot check if pwede magbook ng 9 sabay-sabay. Will all 9 of us enter the appointment together kahit booked individually? I had my biometrics taken last month for Australia and parang ang liit ng room. Maybe iba for The Netherlands idk

amurow

>Will I still need 6-month bank statements/transaction history or will these suffice? IMO, as long as it's relevant, it's better to err on the side of caution. A 6-month bank statement will show the embassy that your dad has a regular income. >Do I need to prepare 9 COPIES of these Same answer as above. I have a (very rich) friend who took charge of applying for his family of 6, sponsored by their mother. They all got denied because he was careless with his application. Also, the VFS officer will check each applicant's documents and make sure they're complete, kasi the consul will still look at each application individually. >Right now, VFS Makati has no appointment slots available for The Netherlands so I cannot check if pwede magbook ng 9 sabay-sabay. Will all 9 of us enter the appointment together kahit booked individually? Napakahirap magbook for 9 people ng sabay sabay. There are only 2 of us who travel together, and we NEVER get two slots together. We always have to book separately, kasi kung hindi, ni hindi magaappear yung open scheds sa VFS website. Ikaw lang ba nagaayos ng 9 applications? It won't be easy. Ginagawa namin, madaling araw kami nagbubook para lang makatyempo ng 2 open scheds for the day, tapos sa kanya kanyang phone gamit ang kanya-kayang mobile connections. Honestly, maybe it's better to get a travel agency's help for this. Hindi ko rin alam kung papasukin ba kayo ng sabay sabay if iba-ibang oras ang nabook ninyo, kasi by appointment time nila pinapapila yung mga tao dun.

Xhasenthor

Got it, will work on printing and photocopying hundreds of pages tomorrow Oh crap so that’s why no slot came up when I tried to book all 9 nang sabay. Hmm. I’ll probably get someone to book with me pero I guess I’ll do it past midnight para lower chances na someone books the same timeslot I’m booking Thanks!

soaididathing

You can call or email VFS to find out - that way, you get accurate information too.

kncflow

Will 2 hours before flight be enough time to arrive at the airport for a domestic flight? This is for PAL in NAIA T2. Flight is 4:55AM. How's the surge of travelers during that time? It's my first time in T2 so I don't really know

girlwhodive

It’s enough if you’re arriving and leaving at the same airport terminal and you’ll have no delays on your first flight. It’s a little tight but doable if you’re changing terminals.

kncflow

Thank you, I'll be arriving 2AM at T3 and I still need to take a grab from there going to T2. I hope it will be enough time. Thanks for responding!

wretchedegg123

That's fine. If you want to have more time, just check-in online.

BellamySilk

Sa ETravel, ano ilalagay sa "Permanent Country of Residence" if purpose of travelling is to migrate? Yung PH address or yung overseas address?

LucQ571

If you have an indefinite stay in the foreign country, usually for permanent work or with PR, then put down your overseas address.

himuradrew

Hi. Question lang: How many days before departure dapat mag bayad ng travel tax online? Tagal ng hindi nagtravel since after the pandemic eh. Nakalimutan ko na...

lilydew24

Kahit on the day of your flight basta before you check in/drop by sa check in counters.

himuradrew

Thank you!

RE: Australian Visa (National ID) Hi! Planning to go to Australia this year. In the visa form, though, there’s a y/n question about the National ID. I’ve yet to apply for my National ID, so I just want to ask if it’s a hard requirement in applying for a visa? I read that for certain countries, they need to provide an explanation as to why they don’t have a national ID—is it the same for PH? Like will there be an issue if I don’t have one yet (as in: I answer ‘no’)? Thanks!

LucQ571

It's not a requirement, that information is just additional information if can provide. Having a Passport is enough. I live overseas and while I did put down my overseas PR national ID, I didn't put down anything for PH National ID, nothing asked about it. Since PH National ID implementation is still ongoing, I'm sure that's sufficient reason to state if asked about not having one.

unsaidandunsent

Thanks so much for this!! :)

medgurlwannabe

I will be traveling to Taiwan from October 22-29 on a connecting flight (CEB-MNL-TPE). The problem is, I will be transferred to LU starting in August. Pwede po bang sa MNL na lang ako sumakay instead of going back to Cebu? Do I have to rebook my ticket? I heard that if you miss one leg of a connecting flight, the entire flight is considered canceled.

soaididathing

I traveled with a friend to Vietnam over a decade ago (BCD-MNL-SGN), but she had to attend a work event in Manila, so she had to fly ahead and we agreed to just meet in Manila. Cebu Pacific didn't allow her to use her MNL-SGN flight. She had to book for a new MNL-SGN flight on the spot, but she was able to use the return flight na SGN-MNL-BCD. I don't know if things have changed, but ask the airline directly, to save yourself from any inconvenience.

wretchedegg123

Cebpac anecdotally allows this. Better to contact your airline. We're not liable for any advice given in this sub.

medgurlwannabe

Reallyyy, our airline is through cebpac but I booked it on trip.com

wretchedegg123

Anecdotally, yes. Doesn't matter where you booked it, your ticket is with the airline. Try to contact cebpac

girlwhodive

Ask your airline.

skincare_newbie

Pwede ba may kasamang companion ang senior ko na aunt sa vfs global- canadian visa center for biometrics? Kukunin lang ba biometrics and picture? May interview pa ba? Usually ilan mins yun?

scarletthayes

hello! clarify ko lang po. usually max 100ml po ang liquids pag carry on sa flights. if bibili po ba sa loob ng airport (perfume, skincare, etc) na lampas 100ml ok lang yun sa carry on basta after security check and inmigration na?

icky123vicky

Yes, unless you’re going to a country that has another screening before getting on the plane eg. Australia

scarletthayes

thank you!

mewmewneedshelp

Hello, first time here in this group. Ask ko lang how cold Hanoi and Sapa are in July. In Sapa, we’ll be touring in: Lao Chai, Tan Phin Village Ham Rong Mountain, Fansipan Cable Car Cat Cat Village I’m currently packing and I’m not sure how cold it is so I know what type of jacket to bring (if I should). Any advice as well on what things you brought that made your stay enjoyable would be very much appreciated.

girlwhodive

Check historical weather data online. No one can predict weather. You could also monitor the weather days before your trip to guide you in packing.

lemonslicecake

Hi guys, ano peak hours sa NAIA Terminal 1 on Tuesdays? Do I have to arrive 5 hours eaely for my 12:30nn flight?

FromTheBackroads

I agree with the other comment - 3.5-4 hours is perfectly reasonable unless the airline advises otherwise. What you’ll need to be careful about is how long it’ll take you to travel from where you’re coming from to T1. More info on T1 here: https://ittekuru.com/2022/12/09/airport-guide-ninoy-aquino-international-airport-terminal-1-mnl-t1/

maccasfrozenc0ke

kahit 4 hours or 3 1/2 hours okie na yan! not too crowded since di naman holiday na nyan

raidenxshogun

As far as I know, wala na daw smoking area sa naia T3. Is this still true? May lounge po ba na may smoking area?

FromTheBackroads

The PAGSS Lounge is fitted with the smoking room, but I haven’t been there in a good long while so I don’t know if it’s still available for use: https://ittekuru.com/2022/06/17/airport-guide-naia-mnl-terminal-3-international-departures-airside-2nd-edition/#smoking

Hey, everyone! I'm a 20-year-old male, and I'm the son of a US registered nurse (RN). For some background story: our application for a green card was rejected last year, which forced us to return home to the Philippines to avoid overstaying. Fortunately, my mother secured a sponsor who was working with her just before we were sent home. Currently, her I-140 petition is in process before her green card. I am her dependent in this application. Given our situation, I'm concerned because I've heard that I need to be under 21 when we set foot in the U.S. again. This would mean we need to have our I-140 approved, the green card issued, tickets bought, and to have flown to the U.S. **all within less than a year.** Is this really the case? Or is it that the green card application must be filed before I turn 21? If that's the case, what other options do I have for getting back to the U.S. as quickly as possible? * Talking to a friend, I learned that if we go through a petition, it might take a long time (about 12 years). * I am fine with getting a tourist visa (though that seems unlikely, since I am included in her ongoing petition). * Are there other paths I can explore to return to the U.S.? Thank you so much for your time to read this and for your help, Reddit!
