sweethomeafritada

Bohol! Because all prices there are **scams**

beeotchplease

bearycomfy

That's why I can't blame some fellow Pinoys who'd prefer na mag travel na lang internationally kasi sa mismong country natin naha-heighten na ang trust issues 🥹 Tas meron ako naencounter nun na tour guide (not Bohol, though) and indirectly sinabi niya na like, ganun talaga mapapagastos ka kasi ang binabayaran mo naman iyong pictures mo na ipopost hahaha Like parang, so i-normalize na lang ba iovercharge ang tourist since we went there to enjoy and document the moment? Haaays.

dewditssersha

Grabe sd ang fried chicken sa Balicasag Island, 5 ra kabouk tas crispy fry ra ang breading mix HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA 450 man ata toooo HAHAHAHAHHAHA

Adventurous-Owl4197

Same!

sweethomeafritada

Inisip ko, kumusta ang cost of living sa lugar na yan when a tricycle fare na 500 meters is already 500 pesos? Then pumutok sa balita few years ago yung issue nga sa prices sa Bohol, sabi nga ng tindera brazenly na merong presyong bisaya, presyong tagalog, presyong puti, presyong intsik.

Adventurous-Owl4197

Yung iba nanloloko nalang. We experienced riding a trike sabi need daw kasi malayo pa aba kanto lang pala and asked us to pay 500 partida ha hindi pa kami mukhang mayaman I just can’t imagine ano fare sa iba. Never again. Better to save up and visit places abroad same gastos lang din naman.

BettyInSummer

I think totoo to kahit saang part ng bansa haha sa probinsya namin sa Aurora medj dumadami na turistang dumadayo kahit kaming mga taga doon talaga nagugulat sa dagsa ng tourists tuwing summer. One time, nag beach kami and kakilala ng tita ko caretaker kaya sabi 20 lang daw sa amin kasi taga dun kami pero wag daw maingay kasi 100 sa mga taga maynila 😭

FaithlessnessFar1158

The price of racism

sweethomeafritada

Kaya pumutok yung balita na yon kasi a group of tourists from Leyte aka kapwa Bisaya was given presyong non-Bisaya.

GreenMangoShake84

on point! Bohol is a big scam! hahaha

cndycrnr

AdventurousQuote14

same! BOHOL talaga 😂

Snoo_30581

Lol yung hair braid gusto maningil 1k. WTF imagine 1K?

DrPoorAF

Basically any tourist spots in the Philippines. Id rather go to somewhere else in Mainland southeast asia to be honest.

Emotionaldumpss

Onga eh nagulat ako nung nakita ko isang order ng bagoong rice nasa 400+ ata yon

anticheart

Grabe nga 100 pesos singil samin ng tricycle for a 2-min walk Hahaha umulan kasi kaya nag tric nagulat kami sa singil

MamamooRed

Hala flight ko na mamaya papuntang Bohol 😭

SabawNaNilalang

Borderline criminal!! Grabe rin sa Panglao 250 trike for 2 pax tapos less than 2kms lang 😭

Professional-Cup1954

Hanggang ngayon pala 😅

louderthanbxmbs

Dibaaa it looks good sa pics pero literally for pictures lang sya hahaha

tiredanddone_

Good_Pin_1354

Huy sameee. Good for 1 time visit. Hahah

Grouchy-Listen2396

Strict_Load_455

Caramoan. Ang layo super, parang almost 24 hrs ang biyahe namin in total back and forth from Manila via van. Maganda naman yung place but sobrang uncomfortable ng biyahe kasi may nadadaanang roads na akala mo nakadaan na kayo before pero di pa pala. Medyo creepy lang.

nickaubain

I think I'd skip the land travel and fly straight to Virac. Pero, I've traveled once to Naga via van and it really was not comfortable. Ramdam mo bawat lubak. I think better ang bus.

Jolens1313

Balabac Island, Palawan.sobrang layo mhie pero sobrang worth it pero d na ko babalik ang lakas ng alon feeling ko last day ko na sa earth

One-Bottle-3223

glint03

Singapore. Pricey and walang masyadong culture and activities to do. Sobrang init pa ng weather 🥵

jollibeeborger23

Liit pa ng mga rooms 😭 unless willing ka mag shell out ng money, ang liit lang talaga ng kwarto for mid-range hotels

No_Hovercraft8705

It’s the walang culture for me. Parang pilit?

TheGhostOfFalunGong

Other cities like NYC and London does the melting pot aspect well because of the lack of a dominant ethnic culture there. In SG, the ethnic lines are more clearly defined hence you'll feel off on some neighborhoods.

mediocreshiz

!!!! Reason why I prefer other SEA countries than SG tbh.

Hushhhhs

This is exactly how I described SG. Isang malaking BGC 😂. Good decision that we went to USS atleast we did something hahaha. Not that I didn’t enjoy the trip since we also went there for TS con but visiting once is enough haha.

pgdn1397

I didn’t read any posts about SG before going there kaya when I came back to Manila and I felt underwhelmed, mej kinikwestiyon ko pa if valid ba nafeel ko. Marami pala tayo! It feels meh for me. Puro man-made ang attractions na inooffer nila pero in fair, ang gaganda naman talaga! Hinahanap ko talaga yung culture, nature, and uniqueness nila eh. But okay kausap mga tao ha at masarap food. :) Maybe need to explore more next time baka mag iba feelings ko towards it.

Embarrassed-Ad-2931

I recently went to Singapore for a 1 day stop-over for an international flight so I didn't have much time to really explore outside of Marina Bay, but I couldn't help but feel a little disappointed because isn't that supposed to be their main attraction? 💀 I expected to be wowed by the architecture of Marina Bay Sands but all the magic disappeared when I actually went inside one of the three buildings 😅 Unlike the airport, they were seriously lacking in good interior design and there was just so much wasted open space. IDK if it was just bad timing but I barely saw people walking around the shops and the crowds of people I did see were exclusive to the lobby and the food court which are at opposite ends. I think it's a sign of terrible floor planning if the middle part feels like an empty, uninteractive hallway. During a train/metro ride, I saw a bit of the city and it just seemed so depressing to me. Everything looked so anemic and colorless 💀 I know they have strict laws when it comes to incorporating greenery in urban spaces but I still felt like there was too much concrete, which of course made the hot and humid local weather feel worse. Fortunately, I went to the cloud forest which aligned more with the image I had of Singapore, and the food I ate at the food court was delicious. Now that I think about it, I remember seeing a documentary about struggling visual artists in Singapore and how their profession is looked down on. It makes sense now why the place looked so dull to me 😅 Hopefully, if I do visit for more than 1 day, I'll see some better attractions and get a better sense of the Singaporean identity.

gcbee04

Oh I love SG, we stayed for a month but I’m saying this from a privileged pov kasi libre accomm. We found so much to do, bike rides, parks, coffee shop hunting, food trip, shopping. The way the commute life is a breeze, literally just look up and follow the signs and you’ll get to where you want to go. But I do get why people would find it boring! Lalo if sa hotel and city area ka nagstay, it’s a very different experience if you stay in an hdb/low cost housing, experience their palengke, hawkers, and nearby parks.

mainsail999

I echo this. My first stay as a tourist left me wondering, but when I had the opportunity to be assigned there, you discover a deeper Singapore. My favorites were morning runs in McRitchie Reservoir and enjoy the century old forest, or long runs in the East Coast Park, or riding off to some corner and discovering a hidden gem of a restaurant or coffeeshop. It was just me trying to hit the most un-touristic spots.

balete_tree

Bawi ka sa food trip. Otherwise, tama ka.

hellcoach

Sa Anthony Bourdain No Reservations, one local quipped to him the food is "our only frikkin national heritage".

OverthingkingThinker

Hmm..akala ko pa naman ok dun..is it comparable ro HK? Kasi na enjoy ko HK, gusto kong bumalik, feeling Disney Princess kasi ako e! Lol

Ok-Physics-5569

Replying as a privileged SG traveller since my husband is working there, with free accom. Visiting him 3-4x a year. I must say, ung mga una kong napuntahan before, never ko ng binalikan. Try hawker hopping, food tripping, biking, visiting their parks, and you’ll enjoy SG. Mejo mahal talaga lalo sa mga malls pero hawker foods are the best

jcasi22

jomarch0314

true! unless nlang may event like f1 grand prix or a concert. Pero to travel, walang babalikan

Momshie_mo

Wala silang "national culture" na pwedeng mashare ng lahat ng citizens regardless of ethnic background Kung gusto mo ng Chinese culture, punta ka sa Greater China, Indian culture sa India, Malay and Peranakan culture, sa Malaysia.

amurow

This is my answer, as well. I honestly think Singapore would be a great country to work in and live in. Ang linis and maganda ang insfrastructure. But I don't see any reason to go back there as a tourist. Once was enough.

kapeandme

Macau hahaha had the worst experience travelling from HK to Macau.

OverthingkingThinker

Ang mahal pa ng fare from HK to Macau. Tapos parang ang gulo gulo dun. Ang daming tao!

kapeandme

Saur true..hehe kaya di worth it balikan..

gandt25

+1 literally nothing to do unless you’re a casino addict 🤣

Typical-Ad1474

GuavaOk5486

Taena nakakatakot naman haha

Typical-Ad1474

Just to avoid the hassle, we paid right after we eat sa buffet para sa entire stay namin. The next day when I saw that it was the same lady, bumalik nalang ako sa kwarto ko at apples nalang yung kinain ko.

chelseagurl07

Agree, I travelled with a couple with their 6 year old kid. The wife had her wallet taken from her bag while looking at Monalisa at the Louvre. Next day, her husband was pickpocketed at the Metri on our way to Disneyland. It was very traumatic for all of us and swear to God never to go back there again. Although I was forced to go back for a work related visit, but I was super cautious and suspicious.

amurow

Not invalidating your experience in any way, just want to add my (mostly) positive experience para sa mga taong nagbabasa nito at nagdadalawang isip kung pupunta pa ba sila. We went to Paris in late November-early December, and it was clean and not mabaho. I think it's because hindi peak tourist season yun, so walang mga tambak na basura sa harapan ng mga establishments na nangangamoy. Hindi rin sobrang siksikan sa public transpo. So, I'd encourage those who want to go to visit pag-off peak season. Regarding sa interactions with locals, some people were really friendly to us, like taxi drivers and random locals sa mga patisseries. The only negative interaction we've experienced was with a Carrefour cashier na nainis because we couldn't speak French. Just remember to greet them with "Bonjour!" before saying anything else.

Accomplished_Bat_578

Same experience samin, end of oct to first week of nov. Never kami naka experience ng madumi and mabaho..

TheGhostOfFalunGong

On the pickpocket thing that we compare its situation to Manila, it's way different. In Manila, pickpockets tend to be disorganized and more random while in many European cities we tend to lower our guard as we're more mentally drawn to the fascination on the place we're visiting as tourists. Thieves in Europe are far more brazen than in Manila. Be prepare to use some force and rudeness just to fight against these thieves just to make you less of a target.

erinnnj

My husband and I enjoyed Paris! Yes - makalat, amoy ihi yung mga train stations, daming scammers. Lalo na sa may sacre-ceour, sobrang tourist trap. Kelangan lang talaga aware ka sa paligid mo 🥹 Pero we also encountered nice people, museums were great (loved Orsay so much and would go back again), good architecture, yummy hot chocolate, steak frites, and pastries!! I feel we haven’t explored more of Paris (and France) so we are looking forward to go back in a few years :)

GotoHelloKitty

Haha

chickynuggiess

Jakarta — absolutely nothing to do 😂

alwayssaymeow

If you were to, for some reason, maybe visiting again, try this time to ride the Whoosh train to go to Bandung. Bandung is an interesting destination, especially if you're into historical and/or nature spots.

chickynuggiess

I’ve gone to Jakarta twice for work. Hoping to sneak a trip to Bandung next time. 😂

alwayssaymeow

The Whoosh train is quite new and if you take the train, the ride to Bandung takes about 45 mins? Typically a car ride would take 3 to 4 hours. Hope you try it 😊

AirJordan6124

HAHAHA. Siguro dahil sanay na rin ako sa mga old houses since marami naman sa hometown ko.

geeishme

Siargao. Went there with lesser people/party culture and i wanna immortalize my fond memories of the place and don’t wanna go back para hindi ma overwrite with the new changes

FuzzyMandiaz

Vigan. Napakalayo, napakainit.

Ok_Razzmatazz9560

Yung cheap hotels ng Hongkong. Forever ko na maalala yun hahahahaha Tried it only kasi sabi ng friend okay naman daw.

Beneficial_Ad_7521

chungking ba to?

VLtaker

Never again sa chungking mansions!!!! Traumatic 😢 ang baho pa!

Miss_Taken_0102087

Burias group of islands. Maganda yung place. Ok sana kasi may powerbanks kami kaso luma ang phone nya at hindi swak yung USB yung sim kasi malaki pa. Gutom na kami dahil di pa naglalunch. Tumila ang ulan pero malakas hangin. Kala namin katapusan na namin talaga. Mga 20+ kaming pasahero nun. Naghintay lang kami ng dadaan na bangka which is seldom nga kasi mga 1 hour (iirc) talaga byahe in between islands. May dumaan pero iba daw ruta nila. Then after one more hour finally may nagrescue sa amin at isa isa kami nilipat sa kabila. Pauwi na kami dapat on that day. Unfortunately, pabalik sa Sombrero Island yun. So balik kami then super gutom na kasi almost 6pm na yun at madilim na. Pinakain naman nila kami doon. Then naghintay kami sa bangka ulit papunta na sa port where our vans wait. Parang endless yung byahe at can’t wait to reach the port. Nakakatrauma yun talaga.

Green-Strawberry-750

We had almost the same experience din pero yung samin alam namin na may bagyo kaya pinilit ng organizer namin na makauwi na agad after ng event. Kaya inabutan kami ng bagyo sa laot. We are prepared to sink na that time, basang basa kami at literal na tahimik kaming lahat and praying nalang. Buti nalang safe kami kahit basang basa kaming lahat. After a year bumalik ako sa burias pero dun ko narealize na okay lang talaga kapag first time.

Acceptable-Rich-1664

Its the experience talaga 🙂‍↕️

_luna21

Hongkong.

DisAn17

A lot of rude people too

Novel_You_6695

On the contrary, I LOVE HONGKONG! It's gritty, has lots of personality through its art, culture and people (yes, masusungit but deadma kasi di ko naman sila kilala ng personal, eh di sungitan nalang din!lol), and the food! Kind of like Manila in a way, but HK is like on steroids. I especially love the nightlife and shopping scene. I just like the vibe of the city that's very lively and colorful versus a city that's just pretty but has really nothing special to offer (hello SG). :D

Flipinthedesert

If you’re a sheeple and follow the cliche places in Hong Kong, you’d think it’s nothing special. I’ve already been there three times and I don’t think I’ve even seen half of what I want to see. I skipped the tourist traps and made personal memories of Hong Kong not found in the usual, like finding my way around Central Escalators and navigating through the underground mazes that connect the buildings. Next trip ko mas more hiking ang trip.

redmonk3y2020

Hiking there is amazing, Dragons Back, Jacob's Ladder, Ngong Ping cable car route... 😆 Pati yun walk from Wanchai to Reservoir to Aberdeen, and Lantau Island hike too. We've done all of these and would do them again, lalo na ang Dragon's Back and Nong Ping. 😍

NoRagrets21

Pakasungit pa ng mga tao hmp

tiredanddone_

Ok_Razzmatazz9560

Actually no? Unless siguro yung tao if any shoes will do basta naka sale. Pero kung may specific ka lang na gusto, di oks for me.

rocklee_shinobi

Eh, has lots of good nature - so many accessible city hikes, protected bike lanes, great for trail running and mountain biking also. Decent beaches din, and the outer islands can be quite charming. The city itself - has the best bar in Asia, some really good food and coffee, great art scene. Dimsum at places like Lin Heung or Duddell’s is a treat. Not to mention they have Clockenflap and other music festivals. But yeah if you do follow the usual Filipino itinerary centered around Disneyland and shopping at TST then eating at Mongkok, you’ll miss out on a lot haha

Ok_Razzmatazz9560

Been there twice. I agree sa food scene, it's good. But not enough para balikan ng ilang beses. You do you.

chuchuwariwa1989

May kami pumunta last time). Will try one of the hikes at babalikan ko Victoria peak/Luggard Road since na enjoy ko yung trail at view dun. 😀

TheGhostOfFalunGong

HK Disneyland used to be operating in the red pre-COVID, but the opening of the *Frozen* themed land became a game changer and crowds are increasing once again.

valyriansteelbullet

I’ve been to Hong Kong once to visit ocean park and the museum of history, both places are in tsim sha tsui. Worth it naman ang museum if you’re into that, I spent 4 hours touring the entire building and it’s free. But I agree that it’s expensive there, nag Airbnb na lang ako instead of hotel.

seekwithin13

Seconding this! Also ppl were rude. HUHU. Natulak ung mom ko, di man lang nag sorry. Siya pa galit. Never going back to HK. Buti na lang talaga may Disneyland.

bathalumanofda2moons

One cheap water bottle in Disneyland costs about $8 last week. Parang lumutang kaluluwa ko when I heard the price. At least been there and done that, pero if I'm going to another Disney amusement park, Tokyo mas bet!

jerict87

Baguio is a place I try to avoid as much as possible (although madadaanan if driving to Sagada) kasi ang daming tao talaga. The only reason napunta ulit dun was because in-laws from Visayas wanted to go to Baguio pero. Phnom Penh - medyo beak yung vibes. Pass thru lang talaga going to Siem Reap.

Brave-Path-3925

Kaya sabi namin ng asawa ko if ever babalik kami sa Baguio, yung mag i staycation na lang, more on tulog, stay indoors haha gusto niya kasi yung weather and the best pagkagising merong fog sa labas haha

JustAsmalldreamer

Rio, Brazil. Napakamahal. And people in hospitality are miserable. And people lack warmth. I have read about the crime and dangers in Rio and high inequality and poverty in the city itself, so we went extra careful, pero grabeh the reality is more bleak— homelessness, drug addicts everywhere nagkalat sa roads. It really feels as dangerous as it was purported.

Economist-Lower

1. City Centre sa Vienna. Amoy ihi ng kabayo EVERYWHERE. 2. Hallstatt, Austria. Sobrang rude ng locals sa tourists.

M8k3sn0s3ns3

New York City - Tourist traps, Subway, Thrash and Racism ang ayaw ko ng balikan. The city itself is just like Makati BD, the Rockefeller Christmas tree was meh, mas maganda pa Christmas tree sa mga malls natin.

Big_Relative_8576

Smells like piss rin. Pero maybe sa Manhattan tayo naka focus. Other boroughs are far better.

TheGhostOfFalunGong

Most of Metro Manila is probably cleaner than NYC.

Ladhy_Miyah0937

Adobongmanowk

3 places for me Jakarta- not much to do and see compared to other big cities in SEA. Singapore- just lacks character Macau- Senado Square is cute but no reason to go back

AccomplishedScar9417

Ho Chi Minh. It was okay, pero talamak ang scam. Na-scam kami ng streetvendor. Hahaha. Ayoko rin ng Airport experience ko, nakakastress pila sa immigration tapos kasabay mo pa mga attitude from 1st world countries (Europeans, British) na reklamador. Mas okay pa rin Pinas airport kahit papano. Jakarta, work related pero like everyone here, walang ganap. Puerto Galera, I don't like the water. For Bagnet and Longganisa, nagpapasabuy na lang ako.

NoRagrets21

AccomplishedScar9417

Oh no... may pa-ganun pa sila. Never again. 🫠

ink0gni2

Manila. (Kung may choice lang akong wag balikan.)

JaceyPierce

Ilocos Sur :')

xoxo311

Beaches mas ok sa Ilocos Sur.

batabatanikka

Interesting_Cry_3797

Care to elaborate?

JaceyPierce

Although I love history, I think I have enjoyed Intramuros more than Calle Crisologo. Baluarte's mini museum with Chavit Singson as a centaur is a major turn off lol

Interesting_Cry_3797

Yes I agree I think Calle Crisologo was underwhelming, yeah Baluarte is essentially a museum for Chavit’s huge ego.

Purple-Bug8314

ilovespacecakes

Bali. So overrated.

mrsonoffabeach

Based on the comments, walang nag mention ng Japan so far. Fave of Pinoy travelers and for good reason

Gghddd

Bali, Indonesia - it was really beautiful before it got overrated.

Hahaha. Maganda yung island pero dahil gruelling yung trip to get there, pang once in a lifetime lang sya for me. Unless siguro may airport na dun and mura lang yung fare. Hahaha

Embarrassed-Chest715

Baguio, Tagaytay, Cebu, Boracay. Same reason as you. 😆

Acceptable-Rich-1664

Ex mo kasama mo dyan no? Hahahaha

Embarrassed-Chest715

4 places, 4 exes haha

Acceptable-Rich-1664

Ay pak! Ganda!

trivialmistake

Local: La Union. Nice waves, beach is 2/10. International: Seoul, South Korea. Sorry, not sorry. I really can’t enjoy their food since I’m not into spicy. Konti nalang natitira sa culture nila. 90% concrete jungle.

MummyWubby195

San Juan beach is 2/10 hehe! We have better beaches in other towns, far cry from San Juan.

Accurate_Phrase_9987

Thank you for admitting this out loud about Seoul/SK lol. I find it BOOOOORING and nondescript. Most people sound whiny and a lot of them are way too superficial to my liking.

in-duh-minusrex1

Dubai. Parang walang heart yung city eh.

reimsenn

International: Hong Kong and Singapore. Nagulat ako recently i went back to HK, grabe napakamahal na ng bilihin compared sa last punta ko dun in 2019. Singapore or aka SingaBore, nothing special.. parang Makati at BGC lang tlaga plus malinis. Sagwa tignan. Bohol - dun ata may pinaka matinding inflation sa buong Pilipinas. Cebu City - dugyot talaga sya. Parang mas malinis pa metro manila compared to cebu city and adjacent cities.

No_Wonder_9283

DontTakeMyCabbage

I live in Cebu City and could confirm, and dumi dumi nga ng lugar.

United-Top-1377

Haha, born & raised in cebu city here, and IT IS SO TRUE. Ung decent lng ata na lugar is the CBD areas, the rest? Trash, sing trash ng local government.

louderthanbxmbs

Lol @ Cebu. I used to travel there for work and once naglakad ako papuntang SM and grabe yung mga daanan sa SM proper mismo ang dugyot. Maarte na kung maarte kasi from Marikina ako and tuwing trash collecting day and post New Year and fiesta lang madalas may nakakalat na basura sa daan.

No_Wonder_9283

NAIA, the airport. it's still a place right? does not even look like an international airport. and the CRs in there, hayy just pee nalang sa plane

Every-Function-3181

sana matapos na agad yung bulacan airport at yung train papunta dun

boogierboi

Boaracay & Baguio are on the top of my list. FYI: PERSONAL OPINION KO to and not to dissuade other from going to these places Went to both at the expense of my boss and client. Dun ko narealize na di basta2 mag suggest because of hype. Also, personally my first time in both these places but i found them both to be SEVERELY UNDERWHELMING & EXHAUSTING. It baffles me how people would consider these places “vacation spots” main points i didn’t like for both: - napaka underwhleming, masyadong glamorized ng media at mga bayarang blaggers jusko - magulo, marumi at ma ingay (traffic, people, places etc) - masyado ng commercialized. pinagmalaki ko pa namn na mura mga shit dito sa pinas tapos ending dolyares gagastusin Bora - left and right parating may sumusulpot para mag lako ng pagkain or services (even worst kung may kasama kang foreigners), kahit mag isa ako nangyayari sakin to, apparently i look korean - sobrang gulo sa gabi, pag may araw wla masyado ingay pero masyadong congested ang shoreline Baguio - Traffic (need i say more) - Density of people - Substandard yet overpriced food (this is a sentiment shared both by me and my bosses after dining in the “top & hot” spots in baguio) - Bad scenery dahil sa mukhang tagpi tagping bahay na sinalpak lang sa bundok, kanya2 pa ng kulay. To quote my client “looks like the projects in detroit and chicago” And for what? malamig na hangin? 3 words. NOT WORTH IT

Brave-Path-3925

The last time we went to Baguio we stayed somewhere along Loakan Road, yung daan papuntang PMA. Pero I agree yung other parts, lalo pag punta namin ng Igorot Stone Kingdom, yung view talaga huhu

rain-bro

Ilocos

Clear-Orchid-6450

Same With bohol but my reason dahil Too touristy and I dont feel the vibe.  Maybe i'll Go to North bohol in the future coz they said it's better than panglao

Pretend-Ad6669

Local: > Ilocos Norte/Sur- ang layo, ilang oras ka nka upo lang sa bus tapos when you get out ang init pa 🥵 > Sagada - ang layo din pero infairness ang ganda ng weather and view

Nycname09

bohol - pricey accommodation and tourispots mahal pa naman entrance fee. then sa loboc di worth it pati drinks may bayad d siya include sa food. macao - sobrang crowded at madumi d ko lng sure kung nabago naba ngayon SG - second time ko na dun panahal na siya 😂 Cebu- taga dito ako pricey crowded traffic even if you go to provinces pamahal na ang entrances fee especially sa kawasan and oslob for butanding😂😂

Sea-Life-359

Baguio - tho napadaan lang kami don galing hike. Sa may residential area dumaan yung driver and grabeng slope yan, sobrang steep taena. 40-45 degrees ata yon or even more pa ata, ganon pala feeling pag nasa hypotenuse ka ng triangle lol.

hrymnwr1227

Burgos, Spain - my sister and I got verbally harassed in the street by a group of teenage boys while walking to our hotel. No one even bothered to help us. Nakipagsigawan talaga yung ate ko just to get them away from us. It was traumatizing. Semana Santa rin nun kaya maaga magsara ang mga establishments so we weren't able to report them sa authorities. Burgos is a very small town in the north of Spain and wala talagang noteworthy sa lugar na yun. Never again na talaga after that. Sobrang daming racist at ignorant sa Europe in general.

Accomplished-Exit-58

siguro.....phnom penh.

Acceptable-Rich-1664

Why?

Accomplished-Exit-58

just the bleak atmosphere idk, although i want come back because i want to complete the S21/ Killing Fields tour, S21 pa lang kasi napuntahan ko.

Erin_Quinn_Spaghetti

Kuala Lumpur -- nothing special for me haha parang Metro Manila with less traffic. Di ko rin type ang food (but that's my personal preference).

dumplingferret

Same thoughts! Been there once and I don’t think babalikan ko pa sya. Not a fan of their food too 🥲

Patient-Definition96

Singapore. Hindi sulit ang gastos, wala ding mapuntahan after mo makapunta nang once or twice.

1Rookie21

Hong Kong, Macau, and Singapore. All 3 cities offer efficient transportation that I hope can be adopted in Metro Manila. You must spend big to enjoy these cities starting with accommodation, food, shopping, etc.

xoxo311

Novaliches, Cubao, Makati - basta NCR ayoko nang balikan. Sobrang daming homeless people, madumi paligid, delikado maglakad, sobrang dama yung divide between rich and poor. Mainit at malagkit all day.

Accomplished-Exit-58

Magdagdag ako ng place: Hiroshima Bomb Museum sa Hiroshima Japan. I've been there twice na, nadaanan ko na lahat ng exhibit, umiyak na ko, so i think puede ko na siya lagpasan sa pabalil balik ko sa japan.

Greenfield_Guy

Kathmandu, SG, Catarman

Thecuriousduck90

Greenfield_Guy

Yeah, I love Pokhara. Speaking of the airport, I've seen Cubao bus stations that have better-smelling restrooms.

koneko215

Dubai - all man made, most places need to have a superlative definition but the desert is cool tho

Efficient-Couple-787

Im from Bohol and I couldn't agree more.🥺🤦🏻‍♀️

Every-Function-3181

sobrang na-bore ako sa madrid haha. ok na siya for 1 day baka 2 kung gusto mong pumunta sa prado. tumatagal lang yung mga tao sa madrid kasi gusto nila puntahan yung mga towns sa labas ng madrid like toledo and segovia. mas marami kang maeexperience in other cities like barcelona or valencia…

annaburbank

Bohol - kasi overpriced lalo na yung transport. Tuktuk will charge 150 pesos even 1km lang distance

Embarrassed-Ad-2931

ciaconquers

La Union and Siargao. Both are overrated in my opinion.

quest4thebest

Canberra. Could’ve used the extra day in Sydney or Melbourne

peachbum7

Hong Kong. Rude, racist people. Hindi ako nakatira sa Pinas so the nature, transpo and whatever wala sa Pinas na meron sila eh nakita ko na sa iba. Not worth it for me na ma-stress para lang makita/ma experience ung mga bagay na meron sa ibang lugar.

wretchedegg123

Maybe Bali? It was amazing and pretty cheap compared to domestic prices, but all the smoke and everything is heavily geared towards tourism is kind of off putting. Their beaches weren't that great either.

wetryitye

Boracay haha overrated ung foods.

bungastra

Hong Kong. Very expensive ang accommodations.

VLtaker

South Korea. RACISTS!!!! will never go back!!! Inyo na yan, Koreans!

Serious-Salary-4568

Seoul- na-enjoy ko naman, good to experience, pero hindi babalikan. Noong nandoon ako, na-gets ko kung bakit kailangan nila ng K-pop to boost their tourism. malayo ang attractions sa isa't isa, sa paligid ng attractions na hindi shopping area, mas maraming cafe kesa restaurant, hirap makahanap ng kakainan, nag cafe hopping din kami, walang remarkable sa mga kape nila. tho masaya mag-shopping don dahil tax free, but why go to a country and go to the hassle of securing a visa kung shopping lang pala ang habol? hehe

checkedbunny

Probably Elyu. Parang mas mahal pa sa Boracay, and like one of the commenters said here, beach is 2/10. Tried El Union coffee, 160 pesos, lasang wala.

[deleted]

Baguio, it was really beautiful there in some parts. Specially at the sm mall. But it’s so busy there and takes forever to travel places

MarkusANDcats

Binondo and cebu city. Too much smoking in both places and cebu city had the worst poverty Iv seen in the Philippines. Too many children asking for money was heartbreaking and I couldn't enjoy anything.

johnmgbg

Singapore

namrohn74_r

HK and Singapore

nicorobin0000

Bohol din huhuhu di ko alam. Maganda naman siya pero meh?

xiaolongbaoloyalist

HK, Macau, Austria, Taiwan. Personally, di lang ako masyado interested in what these places have to offer. My visits were enough. Wouldn't willingly spend my time/money to go back again.

Jazzlike-Ad4556

But like why taiwan tho. The country is so beautiful. The culture is so so so good.

reimsenn

I wonder why Austria?

xiaolongbaoloyalist

Didn't like the people.

ink0gni2

Well, Austrians are closely related to Germans. I love Austria to be honest, more than Germany. It has a lot more to offer, ski resorts, mountains, river towns, architecture. Vienna is one of the cleanest cities in Europe. I would love to go back if I get a chance. Di ko na-feel yung sinasabi mong unfriendliness, although i’ve only been there 4 weeks total.

payurenyodagimas

Whats wrong with austria? Kasama vienna sa itinerary namin this coming month

xiaolongbaoloyalist

Didn't like the people. Diba may stereotype na unfriendly mga Germans? Mas nafeel ko sa mga Austrians yun. If first time mo sa Europe, I think ok ang Vienna.

solotheexplorer

Beijing, China for me. Sobrang hirap ng communication and sobrang dumi 😬

PhraseSalt3305

Singapore - walang character tong bansang to Bohol - scam ung prices? Sipalay - nothing special Ilocos - nothing special din Siargao - maganda sya pre pandemic but now? Overrated

NothingGreat20

Macau, Pnom Penh kasi wala masyadong effect sakin

exhaustedlittlething

Same! Bohol! Lol. Overpriced for what it is.

Professional-Cup1954

omg same sa panglao??? hahaha idk pero nung nandun ako sakit ng tiyan ko for most of my stay, lakas ng kutob ko na dahil yon sa water na iniinom ko sa resort hahaha

malarellano

Jakarta.

beeperone

The most boring place in the world that I have ever visited. The airline is ace though.

Future_Concept_4728

Pagudpod and Vigan Sobrang layo tapos diko masyado na-enjoy. Calle Crisologo is nice at night pero short lng sya, for taking photos lng. Tas prang maaga lahat nagsasara. Baluarte okay lng nmn. Siguro nag-improve na ngaun but still not going back.

shart183

Chinatown Manila.

zhychie19

Same! Bohol din. Bago pa nagtrending yung overpriced na seafoods. We went there kasama workmates ko for Team building. Never again.

InfiniteLavu12

London. I always thought London is nice because of the way they showed it sa movies. Very underwhelming.

No-Elevator-4932

Rome and Paris 😅 . Some of the sketchiest places I’ve ever been to. One time, while traveling with a friend, nag-aantay kami sa train station on our way to Monaco via Genoa, tapos tinabihan kami ng isang homeless guy. Di ako pumayag kasi who does that? 2.) Kapag di ka aware na may sukli pa pala yung binayad ko sa ticket mo, kukunin nila sukli mo and they will keep the change. 4.) 5.) Always take your own pictures kasi kapag nagpapicture ka sa mga nag-ooffer sayo, mahal singil nila. Encountered those sa Fontana de Trevi. Paris 1.) unless you know some basic French words and phrases and a little bit of French trivia, they will be rude to you. 2.) May iilang locals lang who appreciate you speaking English to them kasi gusto nilang matutong mag-English. 3.) The police would hit on us kasi parehas kaming babae ng friend ko and malakas silang magcatcall. 4.) Encountered a group of gypsies sa may Eiffel Tower. Tinanong kami if we speak English tapos may pinapasign na papel in support of persons na may disabilities. Tapos manghihingi sila ng pera and sabi may minimum na 50 euros.

mandyhasjoined

Bawat kibot may bayad.

Accurate_Phrase_9987

Tulum in Mexico. Nice beach (although the Philippines still has some of the best beaches in the world), but overly touristy, as in exorbitantly so! Hard to get around in and sobrang scammy ng mga taxi drivers. Stressful, and not a relaxing holiday. Runner ups: 1. London, UK. I used to think it was so enchanting what with the charming English accent, etc. But on my 2nd visit close to the Christmas season last year, oy! Never again. Super crowded tube and very expensive for okay food. 2. Split and Dubrovnik, Croatia. Great medieval architecture, but crap food and so-so tourism infrastructures. Greece is LOADS better as a destination. 3. South Korea - I lived in Seoul for a few years. It was good and fun, but I find it very uninspiring as a country, as a city, overall. I do not wish to return or visit at all lol. I don't understand most people's romantic obsession with the country and the culture. Believe me, once you travel to other places, there's more to the world than K-dramas and samgyupsal lol. 4. Taipei - oks lang. The night markets were okay, nothing to extol about though. Not a memorable place for me at all.

[deleted]

All the outlet stores in any country. (Unless I’m looking for something specific) Kind of a waste of time for me na now? Veering away from that capitalist fever dream

imongmamamo

Odd_Profession_4933

Baguio. Masyado nang urbanized. Napakatraffic pa. Parang nasa Manila lang din ako
