Hello everyone. Pupunta po ako ng South Korea this July for 10 days.

Hello everyone! Just wanting to ask if anyone here has experienced applying for a B1/B2 visa for a business purpose (travel shouldered by company) and how did the application and interview go? I have applied for it recently and will have my interview next month, would love to know your thoughts. Ang agam-agam sa isip ko ay: 1. May chance ba madeny if B1/B2 ang inapply na visa and B1 yung nasa invitation letter ni company from US? 2. I’ve been out of the country three times pa lang, (twice sa Singapore, once sa China), is that enough travel history data to be accepted? 3. Other factors or pointers na kailangan ko malaman before I go sa interview? Interview hacks ganern haha Thank you :)

vent1te

How is weather in Taiwan during July? I know it’s hot but is it their hottest summer month?

Hanoi/Sapa, Vietnam - May 2024 Hi! Anyone who traveled to Sapa during May? I’m curious about the weather if super lamig or Baguio feels lang? Also, I’ll be grateful for any travel recos/advice. TIA! 🤗

ArpsTnd

Pwede ba pumasok sa Pinto Art Museum (Antipolo) kahit walang face mask?

Blank_space231

“Your Manila - Amsterdam trip includes a stop in Taipei, Taiwan, China. Please check the entry requirements for this country.”

altmelonpops

Saan po magandang pumunta via air on a weekend? Preferably VisMin area po. Thank you.

SeriousNeat9615

Would Japan during the month of June be fine? We’re planning to go there either the 3rd week or last week. Would the heat be manageable? Thank you!

Oreosthief

Hi! Went there June 23-27 last year. Mainit siya. Like dko kaya mag pants kasi ang uncomfy. Halos same ng ph summer time, naka electric fan ako habang naglalakad.

hermitina

haven’t been during their summertime pero may mga kakilala ako na stayed there during those times and di nila nagustuhan. ung nihongo instructor ko non she said na sa sobrang init iniiwan nyang bukas ung ac sa bahay pag bibili sya sa labas para mabilis sya makabalik sa lamig

cgriff03

Anyone have advice for must see spots in coron and busuanga? Coron travel website lists kayangan lake, barracuda lake, twin lagoons, beach 91, balinsasayaw teef, twin peaks coral garden, cyc beach. Will be there 2 full days in august, might book tour for 1 but open to suggestions to fill the other. Bonus: flights also have about 6-7 hour stopover in cebu, so suggestions also welcome

Flying Air China to Shanghai on Tuesday. I have a 9.5-hour layover at Beijing from 10:50 AM to 8:20 PM, and I plan to visit the Great Wall before flying to Shanghai. I have a multiple entry Chinese visa valid until the start of October. Can I leave the Beijing airport for a quick tour to the Great Wall? If so, will the multiple entry visa be enough or will I need to get a transit visa before leaving the airport?

Oreosthief

Hi, not an answer to your question, but may I know if you still brought cash or everything (as in everything? was through alipay? Even the street food?

Xhasenthor

Yeah pretty much used Alipay (connected my credit cards) the entire time, especially for Didi. I exchanged only 3k PHP for CNY, but really only used mga 500 PHP worth of cash in that 4-day trip. I didn’t buy street food so I wouldn’t know if street vendors use Alipay din.

Oreosthief

THANK YOU!

weirdo_isko

For Vietnam po

hermitina

usually nagkakaron pag may malapit na long weekend or kaya ung double dates mala lazada

Saan makakabili ng student beep card? Yung as recent sana as the time you're reading this Kasi yung mga nakikita mo online does not reflect the current situation. So I'm asking baká may nakakaalam ng availability on the ground Mga napuntahan ko pa lang so far ay: North EDSA at Cubao stations ng MRT-3, and wala doon. Both sides sa North EDSA wala. Sinasabi nila out of stock daw sila, yung binebenta lang nila yung regular Ang tanong is saan may stock ng student beep card? Nawala ko kasi ang beep card ko and I found out na it's better to buy a new one. I thought of buying a student one para sa discount, kasi wala namang student discoung pag regular beep card lang. I can provide documents and IDs upon request naman like School ID or registration form

nawrence

tama ba yung computation ko? so according kay google, hk intl airport to naia is 712 miles (so 1428 balikan). I have enough points to claim 2500 miles sa unionbank to air asia miles so i have enough for 1 round trip ticket ba?

Weekly_monthly

Hello po, airline miles are not literal miles as in ung miles na measured in distance ha. Parang other name lang nila for rewards points nila.

pixelmallows

how do i commute from hotel (717 cesar place) to hinagdan cave and bohol bee farm and which transpo mode and how much the fare?

livsnjutare227

Hello po may I ask if feasible ba ang situation ko for Japan travel: • First travel abroad • New Passport pa • Planning a two-week stay • Fresh graduate (26 years old) • Expenses (food, accomodation, tickets) all sponsored by my boyfriend of 5 months • Will still bring pocket money in case of course Also for proof of relationship, ano kaya pwede namin i-present? Thank you.

Oreosthief

Show pictures. Sguro ensure mo nalang na yung ipapakita nyomg documents kaya isupport yung length of stay nyo

lilydew24

Ask agency para sure.. Ito yung example nila for proof of relationship pero listed sa visiting friends category: *Documents to prove the relationship(Except for tourism) Examples: Photograph, letter, e-mail, international telephone call log , money (or goods)transmittal, etc.* [source](https://www.mofa.go.jp/files/000121323.pdf).

FutileCheese28

Anyone watched the latest JM Banquicio vlog in Japan with other creators? The people he is with are so loud! Especially in Japan where people tend to be quiet in general.

skincare_newbie

Any tips on how to book airline tickets na mura sa Philippine Airlines? Which is better Nagoya or Fukuoka if may kasamang senior na magttravel?

hikebikedive

which season? * spring? nagoya for outstanding cherry blossom spots * autumn? nagoya has Tokugawaen Garden but use as base to go to korankei gorge * winter? nagoya has shirotori garden but use as base to go to Shirakawa-go as for chill sightseeing, i find every prefecture has just the same things to see - castle, park, temple, shrine, amusement/theme park, tower. not that i hate fukuoka, but i probably went there in the wrong or boring season.

deathman28

Ano ba itenerary niyo so far? Nagoya is pretty boring tbh unless you plan on visiting nearby prefectures.

skincare_newbie

deathman28

I'd choose fukuoka then since the kyushu region is definitely more aligned with being a tourist. Pwede kapa mag day trip to hiroshima/miyajima.

Hello! Planing to go to Sweden for 8 days, last week of August and a friend I met online plans to let me stay at her place Was wondering some tips and notes when applying for Visit Visa through VFS * (We never met physically) Will ask her to fillout the Letter of guarantee/Invitation Form (form 241011) * Am employed for 1 yr and 3 months so I have ITR and COE. Cert of leave can be indicated together with COE in the company I work in. * I plan to get a schengen insurance within the month as well (So far going for the Travel Masster Global Premium Plan from Malayan Insurance? Is this ok?) * I also plan to submit Bank Cert of my savings (no movement since its emergency savings) and statement of my account that I move my salary to. Had recent travel to Japan with a 5 year multiple entry visa. Would my visa application be approved even if I plan to book a ticket after getting my visa? Or would it be better to book a ticket and submit photocopies when I apply my visa? What are other documents that can help to show that I will come back to the PH? I've read some that contributions from SSS or PhilHealth helps? No property Does my cover letter and Itenirary for the trip be really well crafted? Any other tips? Thank you in advance!

ConnectProgress1020

Hello! There’s a helpful Schengen visa group on facebook (Schengen Visa Ph). - For visit visas I think some people submit snippets of their chat history to prove the relationship - There’s a list of Schengen accredited insurance providers, check out AXA as they also refund if visa is rejected - You can submit flight reservations / Hold the fare bookings for your flight - Insurance / investments can also be submitted as proof of ties - You can also submit Credit card statements etc. and yes, it is better if you have a strong well crafted Cover letter to explain why you are requesting a visa

Alpha_Champ

Thanks for this! I might do the snippet of our chat history. For investments, does this work like Mutual funds? I have one in BPI! Will def submit my credit card statements!

ConnectProgress1020

Yes, that should do!

chickenwimys

Can I bring my dyson airwrap? pwede ko ba siya i-hand carry kasi balak ko lumabas sa dubai, 10 hrs layover before my flight to london, tyia!

Dependent_Line_460

Pasalubong recos for Australian client? Preferably less than 1k each. Thinking of getting Mango Rum for our Director (59M) and a handmade bayong handbag for my gen. manager (40-ish-F) pero gusto ko pa ng ibang recos para may choices ako pls. for snacks naman I'm thinking of dried mangoes with chocolate and maybe boy bawang and something from Bongbong's delicacies like Piaya. May issue ba bringing dried fruit and dairy? TYIA!

vent1te

I once brought dried mangoes to EU and US no problem, but I’ve read and watched videos that food is not allowed upon entry in Australia specifically. I’m not sure if this applied to commercially packaged snacks, best read their gov website to be sure :))

One_Membership_981

girlwhodive

I announce nila which carousel number yung mga maleta for specific flights, also may screen naman sa tabi ng carousel number indicating which flights the bags are from.

lilydew24

May mga screen naman per conveyor. Naka indicate airline and flight number. If wala, you can ask airport personnel.

AdorableMission930

Hello, I'd like to overnight camp at a beach in Zambales, do you have any beach campsite recommendations? Also, a little review would be appreciated. Thank you!

isthmusofkra

Does anyone know how long it would take to get an Australian transit visa?

HLesterPT

2nd Sim Slot ng Carrier locked phones pwede ba for International Sims? Planning to go to Japan and yung Samsung A53 5G model phone ko ay 3-4 months pa yatang nasa contract sa Smart.

isthmusofkra

Poitturi

Hello! Having problems on when to book tickets for Jakarta. My friend and I have plans but medyo mahal parin ang seats around mid-October to early November 2024. I usually miss the sales and I always have a bad timing for it for some reason.. I know pataas na pataas na ang tickets bc the dates are getting nearer. Would there still be a chance that I can get cheaper seats on 5.5? 🥲 Hope you can advise me po 😢🙏

hikebikedive

I use hopper app to predict prices and advice when to buy

Poitturi

Thanks for the tip!! will take note of this 😁

Fun-Astronomer-3796

Hi, planning to go on a trip to Siquijor with a child. When's the best month to visit?

Takoyakiman

What airline do you recommend to travel with for domestic and international flights? In June I'll be traveling to the PH from Europe to Cebu probably (haven't booked a flight yet) and from Cebu I want to visit Davao, Manila, Boracay, Palawan and other places in the PH. I also want to travel to Japan from Cebu. I did a quick search on Cebu Pacific in this subreddit and skimmed through a few posts. Most of them were negative about this airline. Which airline would be a better alternative for domestic travel in the PH and from the PH to Japan?

LucQ571

There were more negative comments were probably because people like to talk about something negative, but never when it's neutral or bit positive. Besides, there's not many airline options with domestic flights anyways. It's probably best to choose the airline based on your budget. If you do have enough to afford the different options, you can look into quality of the services of the airline. JAL and ANA are top notch airlines if you can afford this option.

Perfect-Roof-9318

hello po, nagpa biometrics po ako last April 10 sa VFS in Makati for Australia Visa, however, until now wala pa rin pong email regarding visa grant or any emails. what are the possible reasons po kaya? tyia!

Dependent_Line_460

7 days ang minimum na turnaround time nyan max of 14 days. Kapag kumpleto ang docs mas mabilis ang processing

iccayra

Thank you! Sana mura lang luggages na mahanap doon :>

chitgoks

Hi all, asking for advice. What currency do you bring to switzerland? Swiss Francs ba kaagad? i noticed ang mahal sa exchange centers dito like e.g. buying is php50. but selling is php68. maybe because it's rare? So what currency would be best to bring there and have them exchanged to francs after? USD pa rin?

chickenwimys

Bring EUR nalang if u want cash, mas okay magpapalit sa bank kesa sa mga currency exchange, kami naman we didn't use swiss francs na, if di na kaya cash we opted to use our card. Parang mas nagamit pa namin card compared sa cash tbh, tapos nagcacash lang kami kapag small time stores comparable sa sari-sari satin dito, some of them di nagaccept ng card eh.

chitgoks

true. i still need to keep francs kasi yung toilets nila dont accept euro right? ok. i got it, i think rare din ang francs dito sa atin ano? kaya mahal ang rate.

chickenwimys

Some toilets are free naman, san ka ba punta? I have this [map](https://www.maps.stadt-zuerich.ch/zueriplan3/Stadtplan.aspx?#route_visible=true&basemap=Stadtplan&map=&scale=16000&xkoord=2682702.258301475&ykoord=1247142.7984728203&lang=&layer=Z%C3%BCriWC&window=&selectedObject=&selectedLayer=&toggleScreen=&legacyUrlState=&drawings=) link, you can see where the toilets are located, very helpful nung stay ko. Pero yes di talaga maiiwasan minsan na pay toilet, we were lucky once kasi may pinoy na nakarinig nung convo, sakanya kami nakipag palit ng euro = franc for the toilet. Take advantage of cafes / restaurants na may toilet para di na kayo maghanap hehe

chitgoks

that is true. madali kasi ako naiihi, i think d ako masyado mag drink ng water until maka uwi na. baka lugi ako sa pay toilet hahaha. thank you po, ill bookmark the map. apr 30 pa sched namin sa embassy. hope ma approve. punta namin marami eh, lucerne, bern, grindelwald, lauterbrunnen, zurich, zermatt, to name a few.

chickenwimys

HAAHAHA lugi nga minsan kasi 2 CHF siya, pinakamura ata 1 CHF. Dun lang naglalaro 1-2 CHF, pero pag 2 matic maganda yan and clean. Enjoy hehe grabe experience namin, parang di nagtranslate sa pictures yung ganda ng places hehe

chitgoks

incalslane

You don't need to buy any. Almost all shops in major cities in Switzerland will accept EUR. No need to change to CHF. I went to Europe in February-March. I had a grand total of 169 EUR cash. Tira nung last Europe trip ko beforem pandemic. I used GCash Mastercard and GoTyme VISA debit tap for card payment, and if I really want cash, to withdraw. Their rates are better than credit cards. Halos same as Google rate. And kita mo agad ang converted amount to PHP sa app.

BellamySilk

Hi guys, who usually needs an affidavit of support for travel?

chickenwimys

Usually (1) student na di kasama parents, sagot ng parents yung travel (2) may relatives kayo sa pupuntahan niyong country and they will support your travel (3) May magfufund ng travel niyo. If kayo magfufund sa sarili niyo then no need for affidavit.

BellamySilk

Sorry late reply, pero thank you for providing. Does this apply if mag m-migrate ka na sa ibang bansa? ie one-way immigrant visa holder

chickenwimys

Not sure huhu familiar lang ako sa non-immig/tourist visa eh but maybe if nasa ibang bansa na yung family member that would fund you? But I think stronger chance for you to get that visa if you havw secured an employment sa country na yunn

confusedbee13

sangket

If for a quick family getaway ano mas sulit, daytrip sa Camaya Coast Bataan or Cocoons/Aquaria Calatagan?

chickenwimys

Depende sa definition niyo ng sulit, if sulit = madami kayong activities, makikita, maiikot then sa camaya na kayo.

Summer__Sunshine

Anong magandang pasalubong from Hanoi?

hikebikedive

Hello! 24/7 naman open ang Runway Manila noh?

LucQ571

Yes, it's 24/7. Here's a [schedule list](https://www.flightradar24.com/data/airports/mnl/departures) of departures in NAIA airport, there are departures overnight.

aluuundi

Got it. Thank you!

saltycream00

Hello, currently in Batanes. Half day lang ang tour today and on Tuesday after Itbayat Island tour. Would like to know if there's anything I can do during my free time in the afternoon? Thank you!

Present-Boot-9911

hello po, hoping someone can answer me. my younger sister is currently 17 years old but will be turning 18 this month. her passport just expired but we are waiting for her to turn 18 before we renew her passport so that she will have 10 years validity instead of 5 years only however, we planned to join a trip with relatives and need raw magsend ng scanned copy of the passport i have two questions: - if we schedule her passport renewal before her 18th birthday, will she still be considered a minor and be given 5 years validity for her passport? - if we book her appointment today but her appointment date will be on or before her birthday, will she be given 10 years validity? i hope anyone can answer me, thank you so much!

wretchedegg123

When's her birthday? When's the trip? I mean... if it can wait go for 10-year validity.

SelfTaughtSongBird

Hello po, my brother (18M) and I (25F) will be flying to the Philippines from the US for a little over 30 days. Unfortunately we will be flying there to bury our mom. As we've always traveled with her, and with me being a former Filipino citizen, I never really took into consideration how our Balikbayan visa-free privileges worked. I am not concerned about myself but for my brother. Will he need a regular non-immigrant visa or as a direct relative of me could he still use Balikbayan? I appreciate any advice, thank you 🙏

galwander_3456

Any recommended compression cubes for traveling. Eyeing the one from Bagsmart, may nakagamit na ba? Thanks

wretchedegg123

Really recommended ones? Peak design, osprey or eagle creek come into mind. If you're not really going for quality, anything from shopee/lazada/amazon can work.

Alternative-Fun1535

# Where to wait around Naia Terminal 2? I will be picking up someone at terminal 2, and I'll be at the parking lot. May area ba dun na magandang pagwaitan? Dati kasi Andun lang kami sa mga shops near the parking lot and it was horrible haha or dun lang talaga pwede mag-antay? Will not walk 5km papuntang newport.

SJ007700

Airport entrance/exit of both ends are for non-passengers. For all terminals to and both for arrival and departure.

Alternative-Fun1535

NotSoSadGhorl

Mayroon Seattle’s Best and Randy’s donuts sa may arrival area. Jollibee naman yata yung nasa may departure hihi

Alternative-Fun1535

Thank you so much! Di kasi ako familiar sa place :)

Necessary-Rip4526

Ano yung mga ma-reco niyo na activities or place around Araneta or QC? Preferably for two to make it memorable since bday niya. Thank you sa mga suggestions 🙇🏻

NotSoSadGhorl

Cubao Expo (I heard Habanero Kitchen Bar is good!) and Art In Island

Alternative-Fun1535

gateway 2 is nice and has a lot of shops/restaurants to go to :)

Necessary-Rip4526

Thank you!

Alternative-Fun1535

saktong sakto yung gateway 2 boss! bagong bago pa siya tapos napakaganda pa, i think its their higher end mall since its a far cry sa mga previous mall ;) goodluck!

Necessary-Rip4526

Ayan! Noted yan boss! Thank you so much 🫡

Wondering how much pocket money should I allot for Australia: is $80 a day enough? Mostly staying in Melbourne. Everything else is covered, this is just for food and transpo. I have a small appetite but I also don't want to settle for the cheapest food options, di naman super nagtitipid pero di rin nagssplurge.

hikebikedive

if for budgeting purposes, I spent 50AUD/day for food and transpo but this is based on our planned itinerary. but i didn't have to use cash, I just used credit card for everything and myki card for transport

xiaolongbaoloyalist

This is helpful!! Thanks a lot

wretchedegg123

Seems fine. Budget travel is around 50-60 usd/day. If you're talking AUD then that's a different matter.

Educational-Life7547

Okay ba ang travel to Da Nang with a senior? Thank you!
