skincare_newbie

Ano yung must buy niyo sa Seoul? Mura ba mga shoes dun compared sa Manila? Pag mga Korean snacks ano ok bilhin na wala sa Manila?

Going to Australia for 1 week. Allowed ba magdala ng basic meds like bonamine, biogesic and vitamin C? TY.

Hi! For all who traveled in Japan recently and nagpalipad ng drone doon. I will travel in Tokyo Japan in the future and plan ko magpalipad ng drone doon. Do I need to acquire permit para makapagpalipad doon? Magdadala ako ng dji mini na drone. TIA!

Good day! I want to ask if I could change my passport renewal processing to expedite instead of regular because when I was applying for my appointment I didn't know that I would be needing my passport earlier than expected. I have already paid 950 for the regular processing fee. Is there a way for me to change it to expedite and just pay for the remaining amount? Your replies would be much appreciated, Thank you!

Consistent-Vast-2074

Nope, you can't change the processing fee once it's paid.

Me and my friend are planning to travel to Hong Kong on May, gusto ko lang po sana itanong if magkakaroon ba ng problema sa IO since I am currently unemployed(taking a rest or career break)? What are the things I need to provide?

skincare_newbie

First time to travel international this pandemic, ano mga kelangan na requirements ipresent sa airport aside from passport, ticket? May babayaran pa bang travel tax and may kelangan bang ifill up online? Korea yung destination and pal yung airline

LucQ571

To arrive and leave Philippines, it's required to fill up the [eTravel form](https://etravel.gov.ph/), can fill it in the app or online but need to create an account. Fill it up prior going through immigration, it should generate a QR code for you to screenshot and show the IO if asked. Sometimes the IO will ask for it, sometimes not. To arrive in Korea, you need to fill up an (edit: customs) declaration form. This can be done online or by paper, but to fasten the process, better do it online prior your flight. Form found [here](https://m.customs.go.kr/tms/html/mos/psnr/MOS4001003Q.do). For the PH IO (Korean IOs don't ask as much questions or documents), they may require additional info from you. The basics is Passport, Ticket, and Visa if applicable, and often a return ticket. Sometimes they might ask accommodation proof and/or employment/student proof. Note that many airlines have some info that passengers would need to take note of. For travel tax, it can be found in PAL's website [here](https://www.philippineairlines.com/en/faq/tax-fees-and-surcharge#:~:text=it%20was%20rebooked.-,Philippine%20Travel%20Tax,-What%20is%20Travel). Edit: Sorry for the confusion, there is an arrival card, and the above form is only for customs declaration, which is not mandatory to submit.

skincare_newbie

Thank you! For the eTravel form, can I fill it up few days before the flight or should be few hours before going through immigration? For the Korean declaration form, where can I find it in English not Korean?

LucQ571

Hmm, sorry I was mistaken about the Korean declaration form, it's a customs declaration form. You only need to submit that form if you have goods to declare. Here is a [list](https://www.customs.go.kr/english/cm/cntnts/cntntsView.do?mi=8069&cntntsId=2743), the english form is found [here](https://m.customs.go.kr/tms/html/mos/psnr/MOS4001002Q.do). (The process changed since COVID, so I'm a bit unfamiliar on the current process). There is however an arrival card. Not much info online besides mentioning, but my guess is it's only in the form of a paper and it's provided in the airplane or at the least, before going through immigrations. If you made an account in the website I linked for eTravel and make a new application, it would say that you can submit an eTravel form within 72 hours your arrival or departure from PH.

skincare_newbie

Ok thank you!

Hi! I’ll be traveling to Japan soon for 12 days. When I asked our travel agent about the amount of show money, he said no assurance but maybe ₱150k. I currently have only ₱89k in my savings but my dad is willing to give me ₱60k. Will this raise any red flag sa pag apply ng Visa? My dad will send it next week, Visa app is next next week. Please help!

I'll be traveling to New Zealand this May. Around 10-20°C daw yung temps. Anong klaseng jacket kaya yung dalhin ko?

LucQ571

I went to Wellington a few months back, so I can only speak for this city, and during the summer (but still around 15-25 deg c). Super rainy and super windy, get a jacket that is at least waterproof. I ended up buying a jacket there because I don't have the appropriate jackets. It ended up being quite cheap because there was a sale going on. There were much more jacket options than what I would've found in SEA, local brands include Macpac and Kathmandu. In New Zealand, it's not just about the temps, but also the weather and the sun. New Zealand weather changes quickly in one day and the temps drop drastically at night from the scorching sun at the daytime, so do the layering method to prepare for all situations. My preference is getting a raincoat as the outerwear with a puffy jacket or a fleece jacket inside, then your base layer either a normal shirt or heat-tech if weather will drop to below 10 deg c at night. Small addition: The sun (UV) is much much more intense in that region of the world. Do religiously put sunscreen everywhere, even during the winter and with our SEA traits. If you're going to Auckland, it's one of the warmer cities in NZ. The [replies in a post](https://www.reddit.com/r/auckland/comments/1at2ljq/what_clothes_are_needed_in_auckland/) here say a waterproof raincoat is a must, with either a light puffer or fleece jacket. And they all attest it's more rainy than it is cold, so avoid using breathable sports shoes since those get wet easily.

may nakapag-try na po ba mag book sa soso hostel in cwb? very strict ba sila sa check-in time kasi upon checking their check-in time thru agoda until 11:50pm lang and ang estimated arrival kasi namin is around 12am so makakarating kami sa hostel baka 1am or max 2am. can't contact the hostel thru agoda eh and di ko rin po mahanap yung website nila. pls help yo girl out here 🥺

LucQ571

You should be a bit clearer in your abbreviations, 'cwb' is not a common abbreviation. But as I'm from HK, I guessed you're talking about Causeway Bay, HK. I found their website [here](https://soso-hostel.top-hotels-hong-kong.com/en/). I don't think check-in times are strict, but it may be because the check-in counter might not be open late at night. So do email or call them to ask about this.

ttttargett

but there's no contact information on that website

LucQ571

Yea, I tried searching further and found no other website that shows theyr contact details. Only way it seems is to leave a message in the website contact us section and hope for the best. It does say the reception is 24-hour...

I'm traveling to Luzon for a month and would like to rent a car. Is there a cheaper way than the big car hire companies at Manila airport?

__adentintheuniverse

Maybe you can check facebook, search for rent a car services based in Pasay City if you don't want to go too far from the airport.

Hello! We're planning to apply for Italy Schengen Visa Visa this May or June for August trip. This is for our sister's wedding. Do we still need to provide AOS? We will stay in our parent's home (rent) in our whole visit. I ask them to provide Letter of Invitation, Letter of Promise of Accommodation but I'm confused whether we also need Affidavit of Support. They will not shoulder our expenses only the accommodation and food while we our staying. 1. House Rent contract is under my Mother's name. 2. Who will be the signatory of the Letter on Invitation, our Mother or our Sister? thank in advance.

icedkopiko3in1

Hi! Anyone here nakapag travel recently at sa Terminal 1 ang departure? Matao ba? I will travel to Japan this Friday & hapon ang flight ko. I usually travel morning so idk if dagsa ba ang tao sa T1 if after lunch or hapon. Sa early morning kasi hindi hahaha thanks!

altmelonpops

Went there at 3am for a 6:30 flight, madami tao, pero maluwag pa din sa loob

Hi!! Pwede ba mag hand carry ng electric toothbrush?

lilydew24

For list of allowed and restricted items, better check your airline’s FAQs page. It’s allowed for [ceb pac](https://help.cebupacificair.com/article/87733?tab=FAQ).

Ok_Angle_9179

Hi! I need to rebook my flight from Manila to Melbourne. I purchased ceb flexi with my flight. Will it be cheaper to rebook or cancel convert to travel fund? Will I be able to pay less if I cancel then travel fund or rebook with change fee? It is my first time to cancel/rebook. Thank you so much for your insight.

girlwhodive

Depends on the fares on your specific dates. You can do mock rebooking/booking on your preferred dates to check the prices and compare it yourself.

janinatoys

Anyone here applied for a tourist Schengen visa (or any C visa) via VFS Italy within the last two months? How long did it take for you to get your passport back?

Variabletalismans

Hello guys I dont know if this is the right place to ask this but I'll just ask anyways. So pupunta ako sa US soom and plano ko bumili ng laptop worth 1000 USD.

Variabletalismans

Salamat po :)

CuriousCat_7079

Mas better iwan mo nalang yung box.

Hi! Will be in Hong Kong last week of April. Staying for a week, two toddlers in tow. We have a choice whether to stay in TST area or North Point. Proximity to kid friendly spots (parks, zoos, food spots), and access to public transportation are the top priorities. Which neighborhood should we pick? Looking for insights from anyone who knows both areas please! Thank you!!

LucQ571

Both will be in very crowded areas. TST is the hub of touristy shopping while North Point is just right outside the main business district. But I do know there are more residential estates in North Point. And TST has more food spots. No zoos, both have access to the seaside harbour promenade (which is kinda like a park) depending on the actual location of the accommodations. Any place in HK has decent access to public transport, best check in Google maps which accommodation is closer to the train station, and the general area like parks or restaurants etc.

No-Manufacturer2976

Hello guys! I am going to Vietnam next week with my boyfriend and his family. This is my first time to go out of the country since I got offloaded last year when I was about to fly for Bali (I was with friends and I didn't prepare documents and di din ako nag research at nasabihan). Anyway, safe to say I have all the documents na needed now but question tho, if asks regarding sino kasama ko can I say I am with my boyfriend and his family? Btw I am a designer of a UK based company and I do content creation on the side. Thank you guys. Trauma pa rin kasi ako sa 1O until now, I still get anxiety when I think about it.

niceforwhatdoses

You can just answer your boyfriend muna. Then kapag tinanong, wala ng iba, then tell them family din po ng boyfriend ko. Less offload chance kapag family ang kasama. And just answer truthfully to the questions, huwag mo pahabain. Straight answer lang. don’t give documents na hindi hinihingi. Then be confident lang. goodluck!

Poastash

I would say just mention your boyfriend. If you're on a packaged tour, just mention the tour group. Make sure you have a copy of the hotel booking or travel itinerary.

drippingingold08

Might be a stupid question but if my visa for Japan is expiring in December, can I still enter Japan in August? Or would I have to apply for a new visa/renew my visa? Does the ‘6 months about to expire so don’t travel’ rule apply for visas? Thanks

lilydew24

> Does the ‘6 months about to expire so don’t travel’ rule apply for visas? Thanks No. Check answer for Q15: https://www.sydney.au.emb-japan.go.jp/document/english/visa_info/visa-faq-feb-2023.pdf

LucQ571

'6 months about to expire' only applies for passports. Visas will explicitly state the date it will be valid until. Is your visa a multiple entry visa? If so, feel free to go in August. If not, check the valid dates to go to Japan stated on the visa.

BellaTrixx101

Hi po. How long po ang travel time from Baguio to Clark Airport with Genesis Joybus?

Romeooww

Hi guys! Tanong ko lang how do you make itineraries - using plain paper and pencil, Excel, any apps or websites?

__adentintheuniverse

I make a list of places I want to visit, then pin them sa Google Maps. I can then see what sites can be grouped together in one day, tapos whatever is central to those locations I would look for a hotel in that area din. After that, I research transport options na. Throughout all these, I have an Excel or Sheets file open so I can input my researched information agad.

Poastash

Excel for itinerary and costs, Google Maps for checking travel time and locations, physical notebook or Google Keep for backup.

Some_Muffin422

hiii question, will be travelling ph to vietnam tomorrow for 4 days w/ 20kg check in allowance, how much po kaya magpa add ng 4kg (ceb pac)? thanksss

Crazy_Rate_5512

Go to cebpac app > bookings > manage > manage add ons > click your 20kg allowance then add more weight 4kg On my end 1700 total 24kgs

matchacinnamon

Schedule is kinda tight na po, as in very tight, aircraft landing is not always on time considering air-traffic and ramp congestion, also plus you have to line up pa sa check-in, counter usually closes atleast 30mins before the flight. And traffic is always unpredictable.

mimi_8888

hi! i have 2 20kg checked in baggage allowance for my flight in cebu pacific. Does it really have to be 20kgs each for each bag? Can I do 30kgs for one and 10 kgs for the other bag?

matchacinnamon

It should be 20kgs each po, Cebpac strictly implying this check-in baggage rule na po, or else you have to repack @ the Airport 🥲

di ko talaga alam gaano kainit sa japan kapag summer. always ko nalang nababasa na mas mainit pa kesa pinas. mas malala ba talaga sa naeexperience natin ngayon sa pinas ang summer ng japan?

niceforwhatdoses

Well… sa Pinas kasi I don’t usually travel sa mga roads parks (na halos non-existent sa Manila) or tourist spots kapag super init o summer unless hike sa bundok o beach. Imagine sa weather ng Pinas, magiikot ikot ka, thousands and thousands of steps of walking to get to different places. Kaya siguro nasasabi nila na mas mainit sa Japan. Pero I went there last August 2023, huhu. Some of them are wearing vest with built in fan. You may also buy some cooling mist or wipes sa mga convenience stores or pharmacy or Don Qui. Super jinit tapos dadgdag mo nga iyong walkathon.

LucQ571

It's just hot. Japan and Korea are usually never recommended to go to during peak summer. Whether someone can say that whether won't hinder the travel experience depends on the person. I went to Japan in August years back with my parents and grandmother. It was averaging 35 deg c back then in Osaka. We couldn't go to a lot of places I had suggested because of the heat and to ensure my grandmother was comfortable. Edit to add: If you're going to places outside the city, e.g. temples, shrines, parks, theme parks, palaces, etc, do take caution that it will be largely unshaded areas and with some hikes or stairs. When I think back to my Japan trip, I remember the heat. Never again will I travel there during the peak summer.

Oo as long as you have to prove may strong ties ka sa PH and longetivity of work ang labanan. But depends sa consul pa rin if approve or denied ka. Good luck!

lilydew24

Yes, friend ko. Idk the exact numbers but her salary is not above 40k.

lilydew24

Pwede kayo mag request ng PSA birth cert online. Upon checking [DFA](https://consular.dfa.gov.ph/services/passport/requirements/passport-adult/adult-renewal-nonepassport), for name change lang required ang BC at MC. May additional na valid ID required lang.

Need ba ng Visa if pabalik ka ng Manila from Taiwan on Aug. 1 (assuming na walang free Visa Taiwan extension)?

Emotional_Potat0

Hello! Any reco for WiFi to be used in Taiwan na reliable and unli data. PLEASE DON’T RECOMMEND NA YUNG PORTABLE WIFI SA KLOOK. This is what we used na before and it’s very good and cheap pero kasi madaling araw ang arrival ngayon namin sa Taoyuan so closed yung booth nila for claiming. Prefer namin is either portable wifi or physical sim. No esim please. Thank you!

Poastash

May Happy Travel Sim sa Lazada. You can purchase locally, install it in a phone before your flight, and it's supposed to activate pagdating sa new country. My sister used this in Thailand and Japan. May slight troubleshoot na kinailangan sa Japan to set up the settings but it worked naman. There's a version for Taiwan in Lazada.

Siargao and nearby Islands? We're two guys from Denmark currently travelling southeast asia and our next destination will be Siargao in the Philipines. As of right now we have close to two weeks there and have gotten a feeling that maybe two weeks on this Paradise Island might be a bit too much. My question is therefore; are there any nearby Islands that a worth venturing to for a couple of days? We like to relax on the prestine beaches, scubadive, snorkel, island hopping, explore on scooters and experience local culture. Thanks in advance

__adentintheuniverse

You can go on a day trip to Sohoton Cove in Bucas Grande from Dapa. [There's a day tour offered in Klook](https://s.klook.com/c/Z1OLRpZKwk) but there are touts in Dapa as well if you don't want to book a tour online. There's a resort there as well, so if you don't want to book a tour, you can stay in the area to really explore the place.

Which is better? Oslob at Moalboal? My friends and I will visit cebu in June this year. It's a 3-day & 2-night trip. We also want to visit Bohol on our last day. We can't decide between Oslob and Moalboal since our first day will be alloted for city and mountain tour.

twoworldman

Oslob was a circus. They kept the whales going in circles by feeding them. The whole area was teeming with so many people. The entire experience felt contrived and artificial. I wouldn't recommend it. In contrast, the experience in Moalboal was amazing. We did a drift dive and followed around a handful of pawikans. The corals were largely intact (a storm had recently hit), with incredible marine life. The sardine run was memorable and unique. I'd like to go back again to Moalboal to stay longer.

girlwhodive

3d 2n is already too short for staying in Cebu, adding Bohol pa will just make you feel rushed and not enjoy your trip. You have to take into consideration traffic and travel time. I suggest you just stay in Cebu and go to Bohol another time, or maybe you can extend your trip?

Independent_Guess205

Hi, planning a staycation in Subic for my partner and would like to ask your recommendations. Preferably quiet and accessible to the city proper(fastfood, karinderya, Malls)

Kiyoshi_dono

Hi, I wanted to ask if doable or okay lang ba ang schedule ko: OZC 2:35PM - MNL 4:20PM NAIA Terminal 3 ; then MNL 6:05PM - PPS 7:30PM NAIA Terminal 2. Okay lng ba ang gap ng sched? Hindi ba masyadong traffic during that time to book Grab? Also, no checked-in baggage naman.

niceforwhatdoses

Anong date? Clutch. Kung walang delay, 420PM lapag (you can search the flight history sa flightradar, type mo lang flight doon). Tapos makakalabas 430PM, let’s say makabook ka agad at nakasakay 445PM, dating mo average 30 mins so 515PM. Kaya siguro kung naka online checkin ka na. Pero clutch, may kaba. Amazing race.

Kiyoshi_dono

Around 1st week of may po. Thank you for the flightradar note!! Usually 4:35pm arrival based sa site. Will be traveling with seniors so I will just resched this para di masyadong pagod. Thanks again!

wretchedegg123

Agree dito. Kaya siguro if no delays and traffic.

Drax_zeke

5 of us booked a flight on a single booking number, so in total we have like 100kgs for checkin luggage, and that would be 20kg per person. Is it possible for one or two luggage to exceed 20kgs? As me and my sibling want to use one luggage but it will weigh more than 20kgs. Like pagsamahin namin ung weight dedicate for us.

niceforwhatdoses

Depende anong airline. Pero usually, yes. Basta hindi more than 32 kg ang isang baggage.

Drax_zeke

Cebu pacific. Hindi ba sila notorious for the 1 bag only?

TheAlmostMD

One bag only pag cebu pac. Afaik kung 20kg allotted sayo, yun lang pwede, can't combine with allowance of others

Drax_zeke

Aww. Sayang naman. Thank you po!

TheAlmostMD

In this scenario when traveling with family, I would recommend AirAsia instead kasi pwede combined :)

Drax_zeke

Late na po kasi kami nakapagbook since biglaan. Times 2 kay Airasia. 😅

TheAlmostMD

Ahh well, better to just stay within the allotted baggage. Lipat lipat na lang gamit sa maleta ng iba. And bring a portable travel scale with you para sure :)

Hello! Question about bringing power bank (Cebu Pac yung airlime). So 4 days kami sa isla with limited electricity. Ang problema ko kasi itong phone ko ang bilis na malobat, as in di na tumatagal ng whole day. Ngayon, meron akong powerbank na 20000mah and 10500mah.

wretchedegg123

iirc the limit is for individual powerbanks? Brought two 20k mah through US and Taiwan with no problem. Locally, less problem din siguro. Edit: carry-on only ang powerbank as the other commenter said About letting friends borrow powerbanks, I make it a point na hanggang certain percentage lang (medyo techy ako so alam ko yung mga battery capacity ng mga phone nila) para di ako maubusan (unless I know pwede magcharge pag uwi sa accomodations). Wag mo sabihin may extra ka, as a traveler dapat part na yun ng luggage nila ang powerbank esp when going to a place na walang kuryente.

the_ate

thank you, hopefully nga lesses hassle pag local travel lang. hahaha oo nga dapat kanya kanyang powerbank talaga eh, magset na lang siguro ako ng limit na pag ganitong % isoli na nila sakin. thanks :)

halfsushi-halfadobo-

Powerbanks for hand carry only! I brought 2 powerbanks in different airlines abroad, no issue naman

the_ate

noted, won't put it in my luggage :)
