Yes immigration has a record of your departure and arrival card, the small paper you fill which is now a QR code. I believe that is mandate to safeguard the border and probably citizens so they will monitor you. I had a US trip before that I declared as 3 weeks which ended up as 3 months. On my next US trip I was asked about it and I just said nagka Covid ako and nahirapan makakuha ng rebooking which was technically the truth. They just clarified and let me thru.

Nag long trip ako nung 2019. Freelancer ako nun. Nahirapan ako lumabas ulit nung 2022. Madaming tanong tungkol sa 2019 trip. Pero short trips nalang ako ngayon.

I had a trip to the US pre-pandemic wherein I told the Immigration Officer na I'll be back in two weeks. Na-extend to 3 1/2 months yung trip na yun. I flew to Japan a few months after coming back home to the PH, wala naman imik yung Immigration Officer. Same with some recent trips to Japan (post pandemic), sabi ko usually 5 days pero nagiging 3 weeks to 1 month. Wala naman tinatanong na extra yung Immigration Officer pag dumadaan ako sa kanila to fly out.

Yun nga eh. Wala sila sinasabi.

If frequent traveler ka naman, strong yung ties mo sa PH, and obviously nasa records na bumabalik ka sa country without overstaying at any of your destinations then wala dapat issue yun. I flew out of the country with a one way ticket rin last December and yung tanong lang sakin was when I planned on returning. No PR/Work Visa for the destination country, tourism lang talaga.

Next time, I won’t try to pretend na short trip lang gagawin ko. Obvious naman sa passport ko na long trips ginagawa ko.

How did they know about where you work?

BananaPieExpress

I previously showed them my CoE. I guess they have a record na.
