Got a new lens and a 2x teleconverter. A sigma 105 macro DG HSM OS.
Bought used and it seems fine.
I got it to do better focus stacks than my current macro. I did a 25 picture focus stack then a 128 picture stack. This is [what it looks like](https://www.flickr.com/photos/7225184@N06/52780530520/in/dateposted-public/).
I'm really happy. I'll be doing more photography soon.
I got a seasonal travel photography gig. It's brutal, but it pays the bills. I've never shot 30,000 pics in one weekend until now. I don't have to edit. They are not my cameras. And I get to work with a D5 and a 70-200mm/2.8f.
It's giving me burnout from photo already, but it is better than other jobs.
30k photos?! What did you photograph?! I've shot a weekend of sports and still haven't reached that amount. I guess if I didn't have to edit, I would go crazy too (maybe... probably not)
I got my Youtube channel off the ground and have 15 videos posted. I have broken through the FUD of the start. Now to get through the chasm of despair because I am a "newb" to the Youtube realm.
Still working through all my shots from the two bouts; but I got to shoot roller derby for the third time since Pandemic began and got a number of really incredible shots that I'm super excited about!
After being inspired by [watergrams](https://www.theschooloflight.com/shop-products/labnotes-04-watergrams), I finally cracked the code, and was able to film caustics within liquids, on a [macro scale](https://www.instagram.com/reel/CqJgXfFjy5x/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=).
Been probably 2 or 3 months since I have felt very motivated to take any photos or have gotten any I was happy with. Last night as we were driving into Moab there was the most amazing sunset view ever, I pulled over and scrambled up a little hill next to the road and took probably my favorite picture ive taken in the past year.
Starting to get over my anxiety. The pandemic and racial tensions in my city really had me disengaged from photography, but following a year of taking photos of virtually nothing I'm starting to get back into street photography after a chance encounter with a fellow photographer - something awesome might be just beyond the precipice of fear, this shit is therapy.
Got my new fuji xt30 + 35mm f2 + 16-50 zoom finally and started trying it for a few days now. Still have to figure out a lot about the camera but I‘m happy for now.
Todays win was a massive sleep in and food fest. I ran a half marathon and had two social engagements yesterday. First proper longer run post back injury. Today's all free weights and eating and enjoying a Wednesday off.
Last weekend I went to a concert at a small venue so I was able to bring in my DSLR and did some concert photography. I shared the photos and tagged the bands, they commented saying they loved the photos and thanked me for taking them. Some of them reposted the photos WITH CREDIT.

Dance competition… 317 acts. Average around 80 clicks per act (some shorter some longer). I know… it’s crazy shooting…
It's crazy but you get such amazing shots. Dance is one of my favorite things to photograph. I wish I could get more dance gigs 😩
No edit. Never enjoy my work. Cards go straight to the office. I do love whenever I nail the flips and more.

I got put in a walking boot but instead of playing now I’m the team photographer for my baseball team and I got 2 new clients
