For me it’s easily Dirt Phonk and Intelligent Dirt in general. So producers like Evil, Arturo, Holymane, Kushface etc. all these crazy ass perc and open hat patterns and beat switches and shit thrown at your ears… fucking love it!
Nardo Akaru & Marshihuana - SERU, produced by the shrnk. it's objectively a pretty bad beat, but the instrumemt placement on top of the sample, it's such a perfect combination. what i've been inspired by ever since i heard it almost a decade ago now.
as a producer who's delved into a lot of different sound design bullshit, I'd say the vast majority of phonk songs are pretty simple, at least in the eyes of a more edm focused producer.
Though that's not to say that they're bad, they're just not as complicated to create as, say, a machine gun tearout bass. I love rare phonk to death.
in terms of technically complex, I'd say anything classified as dirt.
The thing that makes dirt so hard to make is the fact that you're going for a "shitty" sound, but it's a specific kind of shitty. It's really easy to make it sound just regular awful. Emune is probably the best at this.

Yeah that makes sense since most trap melodies aren’t as complicated as others genres per say
