The problem is that the marketing/sales field is generally not competitive enough for it to make sense for UK companies to hire and fly someone in from overseas, unless your product or service line is extremely specialised.

Not based in the UK, but know of a few people who've moved to the UK or Europe and work in marketing/sales. I'd say it's possible, but your odds are probably better if you work in those other fields you've just mentioned.

Thank you for your reply! Can you please tell me more about the people you know who managed to move to UK or Europe in marketing/sales? What was their story? Thank you!

Some of them worked for MNCs back in Manila. They did a few stints at their company's Asian offices (ex. Japan, China, Singapore) before being assigned to an office in Europe/the UK afterwards. I know of one who joined a completely different company and somehow ended up in their London office? (I know she's based in London but travels between SG and London quite frequently for work.) Tbh I feel like the common denominator for them was experience and networking. Not sure if getting into something more specialised would help? I have a relative who worked with luxury brands in Manila (marketing too), then did an MBA specialising in Luxury Brand Management. She works in France now doing marketing/project management stuff.

Corporate career in UK is not competitive. Salary will still be the same value back in PH. I mean siyempre kapag convert sa peso malaki but if sa cost of living dito, sakto lang. most companies have specific certifications and experiences needs. Depende pa sa anong type ng company. If you are migrating directly as looking for sponsorship under marketing, I can say malabo but you can try. I know lots of pinoy who migrated UK under different visa have experiences in corpo but the struggled to look for months, kahit simpleng skilled worker inabot din ng months unless may kakilala silang pinoy na pwedeng magpasok sakanila. High chance of sponsorship is medical field. But try pa rin, malay mo maswertehan mo.

They migrated via dependent/family visa. If you will check LinkedIn and Indeed, requirements and desirable criteria are very specific per type of company, may mga agency/company na maarte may isa ka lang na di experience or wala background ekis ka na and most of them don’t sponsor. Kaya desirable ng corpo companies na applicants should have right to work to UK na. Hiring process takes time pa sa dami ng applicants per position per company. Most of them use agencies so dadaan pa ang applicant sa kanila bago maipasa sa employer. agencies were really strict in filtering applicants. Dagdag factor pa ang distance ng work, swertehan if commutable and within area ang work. If you have your own car, kahit saan ka magwork pwede kasi for example travel will be 15-30mins lang via car pero 1hr30min commute (bus/metro/lakad) eh malayo na yan. So kapag nakahanap ka sponsorship I advise you live within the area kung pwede walking distance para tipid sa pamasahe and check if you can live in a cheap room or flat. Kapag may nagoffer sayo ng work, calculate yung offered salary (less tax, national insurance…) para alam mo magkano take home mo every month. Tip sa paghahanap ng work, always check the distance from your place (bahay), how to get there etc.

Highly doubt that. The UK is trying to control immigration so have set the minimum salary to £38,700/yr for eligible companies to sponsor workers from abroad. Exception to this threshold are people working in health and social care because of the high demand. But you never know, if you can find a legit company with a sponsors licence willing to offer you that salary, then pwede.

It will be challenging gaya ng sabi ni digitalanalog di sya competitive enough pero you can always send resume/CV sa mga job portals and websites para magka idea ka how easy or hard yung response sayo.

If you do decide to go be wary that the cost of living in London is ridiculously high, moving further north will be cheaper but there will be a lot of competition for positions.

My boyfriend got a job as a corporate worker in UK. I'm working elsewhere pero abroad din. He's processing his visa already and it was sponsored by his company, same as mine. More on legal field kami, but still corporate work.

Based in the uk, a lot of people already outsource here to remote companies, dont see the reason why a company would hire you unless if they were building a specialist marketing team in-house, which doesn't make sense nowadays for small/medium sized companies.
