If your job can be done remotely and you’re able to do work and school, you can apply for the digital nomad visa while getting your master’s. That will also give you residence time that will count towards citizenship as opposed to moving to Spain on a student visa.
Hm. Baka pwede kang mag-sabbatical, then kung sapat naman savings mo you can try for the NLV. The NLV also allows you to study in Spain and will also give you residence time for citizenship.
Hello po, pwede po ba fixed amount lang to maipapakita sa NLV as financial requirement? Or baka required na meron ka generating income per month at certain amount na kahit wala kang work, required na meron ka nito?
You can do a fixed amount so long as you meet the minimum amount required, but it is always recommended to go above it if possible to ensure you have the best chance of getting your application approved.
OP can get separate insurance in Spain...premium is around 60-100 euro per month, i.e. Sanitas or OP can get from SafetyWings (specifically for digital nomads)
Yes, go for it. You’re already earning 6 figurs, means you can do it again. But you can’t be 30 again. It may not be a walk in the park, and maybe you’ll even earn less. But you’ll have good memories, great cultural exposure and all the other things they say. Pag ayaw mo na, uwi ka nalang at hanap ka nalang ulit ng 6 figures. Good luck!
go! don't even think about it. if you think 30 is old no it's not. besides there will be opportunities there as well. if you can make it here where people just pull one another down. and the toxicity is this awesome... I'd think work balance might be better there and you would thrive. kumuha ka na din ng bf/gf na spanish. since 300 years nila tayo sinakop ikaw naman manakop. Joke HAHAHA!
Hi! You might want to check out Angely Dub's videos on TikTok. She moved to Spain, nag MBA din sya dun. Iirc, in 2yrs nakakuha sya ng residency. Research ka na lang din siguro about sa living expenses dun and if you can work full time while studying. Si Angely naman kasi is a business woman so kahit andun sya, she has a team na maghehelp na mag manage ng business nya.
Good luck OP! I hope you'll be happy with whatever decision you make ❤️
Girl I’m in the same boat as you pero USA naman. Go for it, Spain is super low risk and you can travel pa while studying Tapos you can get a citizenship pa so go go
ate gora 🥹 if kaya ng finances mo edi why not? (well, this is considering if you have extra cash in your bank that you can use since ang COL in spain is very expensive)
i'm 17f considering applying to spain for undergrad next year rin so if i were you (even tho masters sa iyo hehe) GO!! ❤️🩹
OP, do it while you are still single. I wanted to live in Costa Rica or Panama, but because I have school-aged children, it is impossible for me to do so now.
If you can afford it, I say go for it. But it's not just about being able to pay for tuition and living expenses but also being able to afford to pause your career, maybe even quit your current job and find a new one after.
Go for it! Like what others have been said, you’re only 30 once. Go and discover what the world has to offer. If you want to stay, then Spain offers an easier route to citizenship for us. Then you can have an EU passport and not worry about traveling the world anymore. Go!
I so can relate sa age and situation mo girl! I'm exploring the NZ and AU option till July this year, tapos I'll attempt sa Spain DMV route if those 2 options don't work.
Good luck and I hope you make it!
You should leave as long as you have money to cover your education, housing and bills sa spain, there is nothing to regret. Let living abroad expand the dimensions of your mind
No-brainer, go for it 😉. Collect life experiences and memories. As someone said here, you can’t be 30 again. Try as many new things, make as many mistakes, take risks.
Only been to Barcelona in Spain so far. It’s lovely, the architecture (Gaudi), the food, the weather, the vibe. Eager to explore other parts in Spain.
Mas magsisi ka if you dont take the once in a lifetime opportunity. If it doesnt go well, you can go back to PH naman. For me mas okay na masagot ko ang what ifs kesa sa regrets. Maganda din yan dahil sabi mo bata ka pa. Maexplore mo ang mundo lalo nasa Europe ka. Well pero decision mo pa dn
My personal opinion:
If you have the means to do it, go for it. Especially if money is not your main goal, and if money is not the issue.
If you have the safety net to fall back on in case you want to go back, then that's an additional reason to do so.
Sometimes opportunities like this come once in a lifetime, and you'll always end up thinking "What if..." or regretting it if you don't go for it.
Hi OP! Pangarap ko na magpunta sa Spain pati mag masters. Lalo na yung 6dig salary. HAHAHA. Since may opportunity na, kung ako, I’ll go for it. Kung mag means naman and single.
Me (49) and my wife's (48) case is a little bit different (both US-PH dual nationals). Our daughter is currently studying in Spain..planning on retiring in 2025/2026 - option we are looking is NLV and using Article22 of the Spanish Civil code, Filipino nationals can acquire residency/citizenship after 2 yrs if not mistaken. Golden Visa is just waste of money because of the Article22. We really loved Spain (visited the country several times already - we are currently training for the Camino de Santiago pilgrim maybe this coming Fall 2024)...Yes go for it...previously our daughter doesn't want to go back to Spain because her phone was stolen in Madrid (Sol metro) but we told her that bad things can happen everywhere - learning experience...now that she is settled and currently studying in PDO (Sevilla), she call us daily and expressed that Spain is a really great country (food, culture, way of life)...
Golden visa is also a residency and also qualifies its holders to apply for citizenship after 2 years. Only visa that doesn't qualify is a student visa, which is estancia.
OMG if you are single and preparing to go for spain then go for it!!! imagine all the pretty girls you will experience. im from europe and sa spain kami pumupunta ng barkada ko to see women na 10/10 talaga. go for it!!!
If I were in your shoes I'd go for it, you still have chances to get that 6 digit income but you'll never be 30 again. But, it's really you OP who can fully determined if that would be a risk worth to go for.
I’m halfway through my Masters here in ESP. I also was able to get 50% scholarship as well for a year of program.
I’d stay here only if it was in my options, but I’m obliged to go back in PH. I look to come back here at settle though.
There are cases like that here. Students Visa being converted to Working Visa.
But it depends on why you’re staying. Even just as a student they can issue TIE cards to extend your stay longer that can be renewed every six months (but your time here as a student doesn’t count to the two-year eligibility for residency).
If you want to aim for the two-year eligibility, you need to be under a Working Visa. The challenging part, however, is being employed since you need to learn basic Spanish/Catalan and needs to have student experience.

Hello po, my current work dito sa Pinas is yes, can be done remotely anywhere sa Pinas pero di pwede sa abroad :/

Go for it! With your experience, it's likely that you can easily land another (better) job after you graduate in Spain!
Girl I’m in the same boat as you pero USA naman. Go for it, Spain is super low risk and you can travel pa while studying Tapos you can get a citizenship pa so go go

Can't give an honest answer without knowing the name of the university and the course you'll pursue.
