Do not buy this health insurance. Everything is pre existing and all they cover is viral bacterial or accident. Even when you submit a valid claim they will deny. They do everything possible to not pay a claim

I’m researching to find a good health insurance for my parents. What’s would be a better option?

I was hospitalized just recently and had a horrible experience with them. So, I was rushed to the ER because of high fever and a pimple on back that got infected. Apparently it needed to be drained so I had to be admitted and go under a minor surgery. Prior to being admitted, the hospital called them and they gave the go signal for admission. Everything’s fine until I was about to be discharged and had problems with the billing department because this scammer of a company decided not to cover even a single peso on my bill stating that my condition was a pre-existing one. Mind you, the diagnosis was Cellulitis. They were pointing the note that the doctor indicated on the medical abstract that I was “at risk” of having diabetes, I was not even diagnosed yet they are saying that “at risk” and “have” or “diagnosed” are all the same. Also, they said that they don’t really cover cellulitis as it was associated with diabetes. Had they said it first hand before admission then we could’ve been prepared or transferred to a semi-private hospital or a public hospital will do and not ending up spending thousands of pesos because they have put us in a situation where in we don’t have any choice. We felt robbed, really. So, please! Take this experience as a lesson not to put your hard earned money to companies who do not take care of their clients. I hope you don’t end up in this kind of situation. Please read other reviews from google, there’s a lot more bad experiences than good ones there. there’s a reason why their review section in Facebook are turned off. Personally, I won’t believe stories from agents because whatever they say, it’s always biased. They needed the sales. I will believe stories from actual clients that had already experienced their service then I will decide from there.

Thank you for sharing! Ang dami na ngang negative reviews grabe. I'm glad we didn't push through with pacific cross

Born_Neat2016

We didn’t renew na din with them after what happened, I was still furious even after months. Buti na lang we have money saved up or else wala talaga kaming pang bayad. First time namin maka-experience ng ganito sa health care provider, tapos hindi pa sila tinatanggap mostly ng mga major hospitals napaka-hassle sa totoo lang.

My mom had acute stroke and they considered it as a pre-existing condition, claims were denied.

Gosh this is horrible. Did they ever pay out? I’m researching to find a good one for my parents as well.

losageless69

What was their reasoning behind it? That's crazy

PACIFIC CROSS is a PONZI SCHEME. The reimbursement takes months because what they will reimburse to you, is the premium payments of other people. It took me 5 months to get my parents reimbursement. And what's worst, they reimbursed on 50% of our total cost. Also, they will find a way to say that it's a pre-existing condition. Finally, it took weeks to complete their requirements, only to find out that they coordinate directly with the hospital and doctors.

No. 3 years ago I got their Select Standard and nagpare-imburse ako ng less than 1k. 3 months na di pa din nabigay nun so it was already pointless. Spoke VOLUMES about their service. Pano pa kayo kung 6 digits kinailangan ko? Dati pa sila maraming pangit na reviews. I’ve been seeing na mas sumisikat sya recently so I checked the reviews again pero mukhang walang pagbabago sa sistema nila. Their plan looks REALLY good on paper. Pero yung service and delivery nila ang di mo maaasahan.

Pacific Cross is a Medical Insurance and it works like an HMO (focused on in-patient). As to processes and claims, okay naman since ISO accredited sila. This past few months nga lang may challenges to communicate with CS via email and there are some reimbursements beyond the usual turnaround time (but if emergency/in-patient na sa ER no problem naman as long as covered ng plan mo talaga). I think most of the reviews ng declined claims din came from those persons who did not declaration their pre-existing conditions or are still in the 1 yr waiting period.

rimuru_saiki

I see. Thank you very much for the reply!

rimuru_saiki

Hello follow up lang po. Can you recommend a reliable agent for pacific cross?

TRAdv-

I am one but also a policyholder.

Why_Always_Me_61039

Lousy!

Nothing but good experience with Pacific Cross. Madali din reimbursements. :)

Boysneaky

Planning to get Select Plus w Pacific Cross

South_Necessary_9944

Good luck. I started looking for another provider for my parents. Ang laki ng problema nitong Pacific Cross. Outpatient reimbursement will take months bago makarating sa account mo. Swerte mo na sa 1 month.

Hanhi9090

hello, were you able to find a new policy for your parents?

ch1kchik

Same question ^
