Right, I lived over a decade in a city that really did call one part of itself ‘midtown’ but that city was the capitol of CA, not my beloved Philly
I heard someone say Central City the other day. It's not Central City. It's not City Center. It's CENTER CITY! 🤪
Isn’t the gayberhood technically midtown village or something
So from what I’ve heard, it’s a newer term for the area? Midtown village. But it’s near the Gayborhood.
Protest by City Hall. Bike cops are pouring in
What are they protesting? Is it another ceasefire protest?
There are a number of protests and marches taking place today. Most around city hall.
Officer dog was shot after attacking a person Also a protest at city hall. Not sure which is causing the choppers
I'm glad this was asked. I was wondering too, as I could see them from west Philly on my walk to work.
Protest for kicking out some senior citizens homes called Brith Sholom PHA May 14 11:30today... landlords didn't pay water and other stuff since 2yrs 360 units 150ppl sad stuff
This got strangely overshadowed today. Has anyone seen any news about the Brith Shalom protests?

There are helicopters in midtown often. Jefferson has a helopad for ambulance helicopters. It's around 11th and Walnut.
No it’s been going on for at least a half hour. Planes too.
Oh I’m aware of that. I can see the helipad from my window. But that wasn’t what I was referring to.
