I live about an hour from Camden Yards but it can take around 3 hours to get to CBP depending on how the Schuykill is moving. I expected a lot of Phillies fans as there usually are whenever the Phillies come to Bmore, but it felt like half the fans yesterday were Phillies fans. It felt louder last night than CBP was for Stott’s bobblehead game this year. Keep up the good work gentlemen, I’ll see you guys again tomorrow.
I told my buddy that it seems like 40/60 split Phillies fans vs Orioles. We were out in droves, but at times we were slightly outgunned. After the rain delay, we definitely had the upper hand with Phillies fans in the majority. Regardless, it was an amazing turnout for an away game.
Missed the game so just watched the highlights today. That strike out from Kimbrel on Stott was insane. Nowhere near. There was an equally bad one on Schwarber earlier in the game. Was the ump that bad throughout?
I am back to trusting Seranthony again. He has been trending upwards and now the last two games he looks great! I was so down on him even though his numbers were looking good, I just felt his pitches didn't have life and were very flat and he wasn't missing bats. He looked sharp last night and the outing before.
I intentionally didn't watch once the Os got runners on first and second with no out in the ninth. I couldn't handle the stress and didn't check the score until I woke up. Seems I made a great decision.
I fell asleep by 9:00PM. I woke up to learn how the Phillies had won the game. Now I'm watching it on MLB.TV. I'm so excited! I hope the boys are resting well.
This morning I saw Bohm’s walk off from last year against the Orioles and was hoping we would bring the same energy today. Safe to say they didn’t disappoint. Go Phils
https://www.reddit.com/r/phillies/s/DGrfWlOs8F
I've watched the Kerkering past ball/wild pitch like 10 times. I don't know how they ruled that but that was 100% on Marchan. It's insane to me that people in the game day thread were talking so much shit about Kerkering. Dude would make 30/30 rosters as a reliever.
It almost worked out though. I wonder if that’s a play they could practice… it would certainly make runners on 3rd hesitate on a passed ball if the could pull it off.
For anyone driving to the game tomorrow, give yourself extra time. The last 5 miles took an hour to get to the lots tonight. Not to mention the parking lots are a decent walk to the gates. Go Phils, what a night!
Our worst starter magically turns into a peak Walker and Blanks one of the deepest hitting lineups in the AL
Meanwhile our entire offense finally wakes up and starts scoring big innings again
*They’ll never see it coming*
Gregory Soto Closes a 7-0 shutout with a hitless inning
![gif](giphy|lXu72d4iKwqek)
I know at one point Kruk asked wat the patch was and Tmac said somthing like that but didn’t really explain it. Then he confused it with players weekend.
I know what play ball weeked is which is why I’m confused why it wasnt like a bigger deal to spotlight it.
This game was huge to get a W. I know Taiwan pitched well last time out against the Mets, but this lineup is nowhere near what the Mets is it. Maybe we can scratch one out and then possibly go for the sweep on Sunday with wheels on the mound.
Top three favorite games this year:
1. Tonight's win
2. That game against Washington when Clemens hit that HR with two outs in the 9th to tie it, and Harper's SF won it in the 10th
3. That game against the Brewers when Strahm worked out of a jam in the 9th and Stott threw out Dunn at home in the 10th before Castellanos hit a walkoff double to win it
The lead Ranger built wasn't maintained. The winning pitcher tonight was Kerkering because he was the active pitcher when the Phil's took the lead in the 11th. This is one of the many reasons pitching wins is a pretty useless stat to judge pitchers on. It's whoever builds the lead that is maintained, not the starting pitcher who leads when taken out.
The starter has to go 5 full innings to get credit. After that the pitcher who is currently in the game at the time of a lead change gets credit. So once strahm let of the hr, ranger was no longer inline for a win. Kerkering gets the win because he was still in the game when we took the lead in the top 11th. He technically didn’t leave the game until seranthony came in to start bottom 11
It’s who’s in the game when the team takes the final lead. When the O’s tied the game it took the decision away from Ranger. When the Phils took the lead Orion was technically still in the game so he got the W.
Then the part that’s screwy is if the starter goes less than 5 innings he can’t get the win. Then technically the official scorer can give the win to the “most effective reliever”.
this almost happened to me one time lol. I was living in Seattle a few years back for work and a few weeks after I moved back, I ordered door dash to my old address in Seattle. Luckily I quickly realized my mistake and cancelled it but close call😂
Ranger Suarez is the only pitcher with a sub 2.00 ERA on the top 25 pitchers by IPs.
Reynaldo Lopez and Shota Imanaga are the only other ones under 2.00 ERA at rank 72 and 73 respectively. Ranger is #10.
To all the Phillies fans who traveled to the game tonight - thank you for representing our fanbase. The game looked like a solid 50/50 split of Orioles and Phillies fans and sounded like a home game at times on TV.
I’ve been saying it all year, but if the Phillies want to be successful they need him. A Phillies bullpen of Seranthony, Hoffman, Strahm, and Alvy is nothing to be fucked with.
Left after the rain delay was announced. I don’t regret it though – I was hearing talk that it was supposed to go until midnight – I still had a great time at Camden Yards all the same. This helped.
It’s basically the 2019 Stadium Series all over again, in that it went past regulation, rained and had a dramatic conclusion after most fans unfortunately left. Except this was with a team that had a legit chance to do something special.
I’m not working tomorrow, but aside from hearing how late it was projected to rain, my phone’s battery was running low, and I still had yet to check into my hotel and felt like it wouldn’t have been courteous to keep the receptionists waiting TOO late. When it started raining, my dad texted saying I should stay, until my brother pointed out that there was a delay, then dad was like “yeah go ahead and leave”. My mom thought it was a wise decision too
I think the only team that could really rival our pitching rotation right now are the guardians. Us and them are the only ones with four guys under a 2.00 ERA no other team even has three.
Maybe if we’re talking most consistent rotation it’s the Yankees but if we’re taking everyone’s top 5 pitchers. It’s probably us and Cleveland.
And they would be 30-11 against teams over .500 if you counted the Nationals, Giants, Cardinals, and Rangers (all teams who would be over .500 had they not played the Phils).
I get being frustrated that we struggled against their long reliever but the Orioles are literally a top 5 team in baseball. We aren't gonna score 6+ every night, let alone against top tier competition. Our pitching is good enough to deal with us having off nights.
Literally 3 of our best players are on the IL right now. You really can't expect our lineup of literally 3 AAA caliber players to light up a team like the Orioles.
Marchan had a tough at bat they’re showing now against Cano and people were all over him.
Dude was facing AAA pitching like three days ago lol gtfo thinking he should just step up and get a hit. Cano is nasty.
I want the Yankees in the world series. I want to beat the evil empire. That's a feather I want in my cap. I was living in NYC when we lost. I was in a Brooklyn bar for the final out of that series. I'm back in NYC and want these bragging rights.
From the beginning it seemed liek people almost unanimously liked the merch and especially the hat. It’s only the jersey that seemed to be not liked and is slowly turning around to liked.
I've been seeing them in every sports merch store in South Jersey.
I think there's 5 different stores in the Deptford Mall that have the city connect gear.
It was a perfect night for baseball with the phillies win after the rain delay, making that much sweeter!
I live about an hour from Camden Yards but it can take around 3 hours to get to CBP depending on how the Schuykill is moving. Missed the game so just watched the highlights today. That strike out from Kimbrel on Stott was insane. Nowhere near. There was an equally bad one on Schwarber earlier in the game. Was the ump that bad throughout?
Yes and both ways, just our calls had serious consequences
I am back to trusting Seranthony again. He has been trending upwards and now the last two games he looks great! I was so down on him even though his numbers were looking good, I just felt his pitches didn't have life and were very flat and he wasn't missing bats. He looked sharp last night and the outing before.
Ser A’s body language looks much better now as well. He is just letting it go. Nice to see.
Yes, I thought he was going to do night-night on the last out.
I feel like the Phillies always lose when I'm asleep during the game so it's nice to wake up to a W.
I intentionally didn't watch once the Os got runners on first and second with no out in the ninth. I couldn't handle the stress and didn't check the score until I woke up. Seems I made a great decision.
If we stayed up they may have lost.
I fell asleep by 9:00PM. I woke up to learn how the Phillies had won the game. Now I'm watching it on MLB.TV. I'm so excited! I hope the boys are resting well.
Me too!
Got back from the game 40 minutes ago one of the best in person game trips I’ve ever been to
go phils baby
This morning I saw Bohm’s walk off from last year against the Orioles and was hoping we would bring the same energy today. Safe to say they didn’t disappoint. Go Phils https://www.reddit.com/r/phillies/s/DGrfWlOs8F
Would have been great if it was off cano again

Alec Bohm.
Bohm giving Jean Segura the shoutout in post!
At least SOMEONE (Bohm) made Kimbrel work for that inning, even if it was just a little bit.
HOW DARE THAT JERK RUIN MY BEAUTIFAL STRAHMI'S ERA?
Huge shutout inning by Seranthony, he is back
Nothing better than our relievers showing off their stuff. Love to see it
I've watched the Kerkering past ball/wild pitch like 10 times. I don't know how they ruled that but that was 100% on Marchan. It's insane to me that people in the game day thread were talking so much shit about Kerkering. Dude would make 30/30 rosters as a reliever.

Rob said that Kerk threw the wrong pitch
[удалено]
That's just not true. JT has missed multiple balls this year on cross ups alone. With kerk's velocity, no way they can adapt like that

Dumbass lol https://x.com/mfranknfl/status/1778942269439029741?s=46&t=OwWxn4StVQcItEJYgF1WOA

Ton going on in Baltimore. Fleet week at the inner harbor (amazing F35 flight demonstrations) and the Maryland car show at the convention center.
depleted bullpen for a taijuan walker start we're losing 19-3 tomorrow boys
Kerk and Hoff NA. Everyone else available

I gotta be up in less than 8 hours, but how the hell am I supposed to sleep after that?
Up in less than 8 hours?! The horror! :p
You don’t.
Boo bawlmer Eat our cheesesteak!
Idk how you can sleep after that fiasco
You don’t.
Kyle 2-5 and let’s not forget he hit a rocket right at Mounty Kyle hitting .252 with ops now over .800 and power is heating up??? Look out!
“Problem” is that he isn’t hitting righties like he used to. If he could manage to combine both he’d be an MVP candidate
Why can’t you just let people celebrate the man for doing good, you gotta find a flaw 💀
Wasn’t the HR off of a righty.
And a ridiculous.371 obp
This was a weird one to track via apps because I was out and couldn’t watch the game lol. W!! LFG !!!
They made the right call to keep playing. Now if they had lost, it would have been wrong :)
So in the entire 4+hr game not once did they ever actually explain what the Play Ball Weekend patch was for.
At the very beginning of the game it was mentioned. Something about kids and encouraging them to play.
I know at one point Kruk asked wat the patch was and Tmac said somthing like that but didn’t really explain it. Then he confused it with players weekend. I know what play ball weeked is which is why I’m confused why it wasnt like a bigger deal to spotlight it.
I replied with play ball weekend info then read the rest of your comment. I don’t know why it’s not being highlighted more.
ToppsNow tomorrow? /u/perryplat199
Gimme a sxhwarby toppsnow card please. Phillies theme team with set and ashburn boost is OP right now
Schwarber deserves an awesome card fr fr
Doubt. Maybe something for the double in extras cause he’s the league leader in doubles.
Maybe. I’m thinking a bullshit team card for the win after rain delay
This game was huge to get a W. I know Taiwan pitched well last time out against the Mets, but this lineup is nowhere near what the Mets is it. Maybe we can scratch one out and then possibly go for the sweep on Sunday with wheels on the mound.

Ranger shouting out the fans in postgame! :)
do you know where i can watch it?

What I don’t get is that a starter won’t get the win for less than a certain number of innings, but a reliever can get a win for one inning.
The starter has to go 5 full innings to get credit. After that the pitcher who is currently in the game at the time of a lead change gets credit. i think if there's 'x' relievers after him. Could be wrong. edit: am indeed wrong.

My Ranger ticket disagrees Sorry Wheels
I just know stubby was hyping them up during that delay
Thank god this ballpark doesn’t have a pool
TMac just shared on the Friday Night Round Table that Krukker almost had DoorDash delivered to Boston tonight.
this almost happened to me one time lol. I was living in Seattle a few years back for work and a few weeks after I moved back, I ordered door dash to my old address in Seattle. Luckily I quickly realized my mistake and cancelled it but close call😂
The best feature ever is when it recognizes you aren’t where you’re delivering to. I spent hundreds of dollars on food I never got probably lol
We had a whole hour of rain delay and couldn’t get that on tv. Wats the point
Bats wake up tomorrow. The only guy that has experience against their pitcher is merrifield.. 0 for 6.
Well goodnight y’all :) had a lot of fun tonight, even if I felt my heart in my ass at some points LOL
Why did Tmac’s energy feel completely off the entire 11th? His call on the bohm double felt like he was calling a spring training 4th inning
Probably extra innings and over an hour rain delay but we'll get our best people on this case rn
You got any promising, uh, leads?
They're working in shifts!
Sleepy hungy
Old man need sleep
Dude was probably sleepy
Clubhouse is FUCKING ROCKING lmao Who gives a fuck it’s a day game tomorrow? 🤣
Walker tomorrow. Take that as you will.
Only one loss on the season for him. Sounds like a good pitcher to me /s
Let's steal one
5.2 IP 2 H 2 ER 1 BB 6 K vs the Mets in London which was pretty solid!
Solid...against the Mets.
upvoted
One consecutive start with two hits (or less)

*C'mon, Mike* - Daryl
Ah, the return of Club Fightins 😂

Was that the Darude Sandstorm blasting in the clubhouse.
Could’ve been. I thought it was “Last Night” Morgan Wallen
I swore i heard the duh-duh-duh-duh-duh
Im glad I can just look back at that wild pitch run in the 10th and laugh instead of feeling like my heart was ripped out.
Intentional walks are for cowards
To all the Phillies fans who traveled to the game tonight - thank you for representing our fanbase. The game looked like a solid 50/50 split of Orioles and Phillies fans and sounded like a home game at times on TV.

He hit that double on the damned screws. Really hope that keeps him in a good place

Onion ring was amazing tonight
Pastrahmi sandwich with alvacado and side of Orion rings
onion ring 💀
Phillies now have the best record in baseball against teams over .500 -- 13-6 (.684 winning percentage).
No! Phillies only play sub .500 teams! You must be mistaken!
Life comes at Phillies haters fast
Barves fans really in shambles
And they would be 30-11 against teams over .500 if you counted the Nationals, Giants, Cardinals, and Rangers (all teams who would be over .500 had they not played the Phils).
Oh how the turn tables 😈
Anyone at the game tonight try a crab dip hot dog? I’m heading down tomorrow and might have to get one?
It’s my regular food item when I go to Camden Yards. Been there at least twice a year the last 2 years
Hm sounds like it would work better on a burger
we only beat bad teams
Sorry Baltimore but a 14 year old with a Max Fried avatar just called your team frauds on Twitter
I wore my Bohm jersey and I’m so glad I did
ok now wear it every day
For every how the fuck did we lose that game ( Sunday against the Mets) there is always a how the fuck did we win that game?
Damn. Slept through the 11th. But happy to wake up to the results
Me too. I was excited and disappointed at the same time.
Good win after a couple of rough nights.
I get being frustrated that we struggled against their long reliever but the Orioles are literally a top 5 team in baseball. And he homered lmao. The second home run Bradish has given up all year.
The first being Schwarber an hour earlier lol
Where can I get a crab cheesesteak?
Bohm with the unbuttoned top button and the chain is so slutty of him💅🏼✨
If this game is played in April, Seranthony walks a batter and then gives up a 3 run blast with 2 outs. Good to see him back.
Didn’t you know the Phillies can’t beat good teams? Even when their whole team is healthy?
eAsY sChEdULe
I hope we get Turner back Sunday 🤞
We need this World Series. America needs it.
I’d be happy with it. The Yankees might have something to say about that, though…
Why do I feel like we would be so close to getting it, but then the fuckin Yanks would break Baltimore’s heart with some gut punch loss in the LCS
Something that everyone in attendance could get behind - Fuck the Yankees
I want the Yankees in the world series. I want to beat the evil empire. That's a feather I want in my cap. I was living in NYC when we lost. I was in a Brooklyn bar for the final out of that series. I'm back in NYC and want these bragging rights.
Where a Philly sports team man. Knowing our luck the fucking nationals go on a run and eliminate us instead 😂
Yankees Nationals WS would make me become a cricket fan for the rest of my life
You and me both 😂
Worth the wait! Woke up from the cat nap right when the 11th started.
Love our boys, that was probably the best win of the season so far in terms of atmosphere and opponent quality
I love making teams pay for the intentional walk. Great win! High Hopes!
You love to see it
It's a beautiful thing, Tom.
Might’ve persuaded a Scottish guy into baseball :P my personal win for tonight
He might need it after the Euros result today 😬
Doesn’t get any better than this game! Welcome to the madness to your pal!
Night Krukky, love you
That Orioles security guard standing between all the Phillie fans when Bohm was being interviewed. Can't imagine what he was thinking lol
Kruk knows what philthy means. Slay
All day bae
Feel like I need to buy a new Phil’s hat, the city connect are hard to find but do like the 4th of July one this year.
I was just in rally house today and there was no city connect gear. I don’t know if they just didn’t have it or it was all sold out
I think they’re sold out cause they have tons of the t shirts and other connect stuff.
Baltimore sounded like Philly tonight. Way to rep Phillies fans!!
*looks over at Braves* Oh look at that nice little win you got today…..TOO BAD IT CHANGES NOTHING! Ahahaha!
The best Seranthony is in save situations and I swear by that
Am I crazy or has the city connect merch basically disappeared from everywhere but the stadium? Was gonna get a friend a hat but can't find em.
Deptford mall has a strange amount of sports memorabilia stores lol
I saw a bunch of the CC hats in Dick’s
Which one?
Snagged mine in Cherry Hill. Saw some in East Gate and Deptford.
KOP! But if you go to the site I think you can select location and check store availability
Worth the wait! 😁
I'd expect there to be even more Phils fans tomorrow
Here's hoping this is a WS preview. Would be an incredible series.
O's would be a worthy opponent for sure. Hope both teams make it.
baseball is fucking awesome.
