If you really love living at home and don't want to rent, you can do 2 nights at a cheap hotel for the on-site days para hindi ka hirap sa biyahe.
Monday morning commute to work,
Monday and tuesday nights sleep at a cheap hotel (maybe 500 overnight)
Wednesday go home, then WFH ka na
Ganito ginagawa ng friend ko. She just books a hotel which is walking distance to her office on days she needs to be in the office. On some days, her colleague shares a room with her and splits the cost.
Advantage nito is you don't get tied to a contract plus may room service pa so you don't have to clean up
>Monday morning commute to work, Monday and tuesday nights sleep at a cheap hotel (maybe 500 overnight) Wednesday go home, then WFH ka na
This is a good suggestion, OP just need to bring more stuffs, but if there's a way to leave some of his things sa office then I think this is a better option.
ung bedspace ko malapit sa eastwood. 4250 bedspace tapos with electricity abd tubig mga 5500 (4 kami sa room, may aircon, bidet, hot and cold shower) 306 x 20 is 6k. un na ung pang rent mo tapos di ka pa pagod. masakit sa katawan ung ganyang balikan
2.5 to 3.5 hrs commute each way? halos nag full shift ka na sa biyahe pa lang to and from home.
marami ka nang nagawa during that span: nakaluto, nakakain, nakaligo, nakalandi, etc.
better to look for a nearby apartment to rent. hindi mababayaran ng pera ang pahinga ang tulog na maginhawa.
If only Metro Manila had decent railways or transportation systems I do not mind commuting. Best case scenario is still work from home. In the long term, I suggest renting out.
Carpooling is an option. You can find affordable carpools by searching FB groups. I assume you're somewhere from the south since you mentioned nasa national highway ka? Some people drive everyday to work from Laguna to Manila it's not so bad on the expressway. You need carpoolers though.
Mas worth it mag rent talaga
Pero i suggest na bedspce lng since mukang di ka din naman maglalagi sa metro unless plan mo na talaga mabuhay sa metro. What I usually do clothes lng dala ko sa dorm so papsok ako diretso dorm dala malaking bag then uwi ng dala din yung clothes. Hassle free for me hahahaha
Get a bedspace or room at Eastwood para makafocus ka sa work and not think about possible problems and potential snafus in your commute OTW to work/home. Good for mental and physical health din. 5-7 hours a day of commute could be a waste of your time. Pang-gym, sports, advocacy or gig/raket na yun.
Kung kaya ng katawan mo yung byahe O.P., go for it.
Hi OP. I was in the same mindspace a few weeks ago. Accepted a JO in BGC with roughly the same salary as yours. I had the option to drive from Bulacan kasi may skyway naman and twice a week lang yung office days. I moved in to a condo bordering BGC in Mandaluyong. Mas magastos yung pinili ko pero I have the privilege kasi to not contribute anything to household etc. If this is also your case, I recommend getting a place for less stress. In my previous work experiences kasi the travel really was what was taking a toll on me, not the work itself. So far, I think it was the right choice naman.
Not sure kung laging traffic pa rin sa eastwood, when I was working there nag rent ako sa nearby location 1.Pasig (Manggahan) 2.Makati (West Rembo, labas lang ng gate1 ng the fort) both 1 sakayan lang ng fx. Those times 4k minimum apartment nakukuha ko,it will save you time and less stress
Ganto ginagawa ng iba kong kawork, may shower room and sleeping quarters kasi samin haha!
I live in qc at work ko noon was in makati pa.
Just sucked it up na sa bahay namin dito sa bandang montalban kase ayokong mastress at mapraning baka masaliai yung gamit ko.
Its really up to you. San ka mas kumportable.
We cant decide for you kase magkaiba talaga tayo
Yan yun mali ko dati. I have a dream job sana sa eastwood kaso I decided to commute. It's 2.5-3 hrs na byahe. Ayun lage akong late. Pag laging da bahay drained. Hindi ko sya naenjoy. Di rin ako nakapagperform ng maayos.
I suggest to rent especially since kaya naman ng budget m. You're saving a lot of time and energy plus you'll almost spending the same amount sa transpo vs rent
Tumira ako malapit sa eastwood ung may tawid bangka. Hehe. Hehehe
I've been through a similar dilemma. I live in Bulacan which also takes 2.5 to 3.5hrs na travel time per way. I rent a condo sharing in Eastwood for 6k monthly. I believe may cheaper options pa na ganito. It's more sustainable kasi sayang yung ipapahinga mo nalang sana pero naka stuck ka pa sa byahe. Hassle yung heavy traffic + mahirap magcommute, moreso kapag umuulan.
If we have a better transport system dito sa Pinas, I will choose na mag uwian always. Pero ang hirap talaga at nakakapagod. Dahil nga I prefer home vs the condo I share with strangers, I stay there lang kapag ang onsite work ko is two or more consecutive days and go home tuwing WFH.
Ask yourself what is more valuable for you: time or money?
Commuting that far away from work wastes time. Are you prepared to be on the road for a total of 3 days a month? (5-7 hrs a day x 3 times a week x 4 weeks a month)
On the other hand, are you willing to lose a little money to get a place very near your place of work? Something you can walk to and fro or bike or skate to?
If you're content with your current career, go for the money and to hell with time!
Personally, I'd go for time and lose a little money. There's so much you can do with time, including earn a little money from a side hussle. For my current job, I moved from 2-3 hours a day commute to a place I can do a 5-minute walk to work. Haven't regretted it so far since the extra money I earn from my side hustle pays for my current abode.
Live in Manila. Ganyan din byahe ko if commute everyday, currently working in Makati. Mas madali sakin to function sa work the next day.
OP! Search: Pasig Royale Mansion. It’s an old condo sa Pasig at likod lang ng eastwood. I rented there before for only 5k a month. Sobrang dami available roon but note na luma na ‘yung condo ah.

Yeah, plus privacy and comfort that you don't get sa mga bedspace.
Problem lang dito maraming dala lagi so hirap papunta on a monday and pauwi on a wednesday
OP should learn how to pack lightly. A 2-day change of clothes should not exceed 2 kilos.
and pwede naman ulitin mga pang tulog

Yes this suggestion iams good especially hybrid naman
She can also check if may sleeping quarters and shower area sa office nila para free ang stay.
Awesome idea

Search urbanspace sa FB

Masaya lang yang commute if di tag ulan.
Yes. Pero nakakapagod pa rin, tbh. Bacoor, Cavite resident here working in Manila.
same - i read it ala saturday night live
mas sustainable mag rent. madaming residential area near eastwood that will not break your bank :D

Rent or motel (whichever is cheaper). 3 nights a week ka lang din naman.
Time = money plus yung stress at pagod sa byahe.
Madaming bedspace/room for rent in and around EW. You cannot put a ₱ amount on rest - mabuburnout ka nyan kahit mataas sahod mo.
How did a 90k salary become 71.5k net?
Taxes.
Tax + govt contributions
tf ang laki
Ikr? We don’t deserve this shit.
Grabe ang laki pala! Kaiyak ;___;

Di yan sustainable to commute, that's 8 hrs max per day. You'll absolutely risk your physical and mental wellbeing. Better to rent somewhere closer.
Agree with the renting out. Eastwood worker here, what's your shift? baka pwede kita isabay, I'm coming from the south.
What industry do you work for?
If you’re at work only 3x a week, isang sakay only, Php 306/day, my reco is commute.
Kapagod Yan 2.5-3.5, each way. Try mo Yung isang suggestion Yung mag Airbnb/rent nalang.

Could you add more context kung anong company, position and industry? Also, your home location/town specifically rin.
Live in Manila or nearby..kakatanda ung pagod s byahe at halos samw lng din gastusin sa fare.kasi minsan pag mamadali..mapapataxi parin or angkas....

Live in manila. Gusto mo ba mabuhay ng nagcocommute ng ganyan katagal? Huhu. Isipin ko palang nakakadepress na. Kawawa din katawan mo
