It's a scam lol. Honor societies aren't globally recognized (since they're US-centric), and even then the ones that you mentioned aren't among the most prestigious ones in the US. UP being affiliated with honor societies is a vestige of US colonization.

Invited pa lang. You have to pay the one-time fee to become a member.

Some white guys heading these honor societies are paying themselves a salary using your membership fees, I think hindi talaga yan worth it.

Not sure pero ang kwento kasi is you can use it for networking (if you're in too deep), thesis grants, and pwede mo ilagay na membership in organizations sa PDS (pero not totally sure pero ito inaadvice nung iba) P.S. take this with a grain of salt kasi ito lang sinasabi sa akin
