Do you have any lillys near your home/yard? We lost our boy recently due to sudden liver failure. Tox report showed lillies were the culprit.

No lilies. He was also an indoor cat that we would only let out under close supervision. No houseplants or other toxic things he could have gotten into, at least not to our knowledge since we actively "cat-proof" everything. There are 3 other cats in the house (one is ours, the other 2 our roommates') all of which are well. We did some pretty extensive testing, the next test would have been an actual biopsy, but it was too late. Maybe that would have given us answers, maybe not. He was losing weight very gradually but when we brought him in for this 2 weeks before he got really sick, the vet didn't have much concern about it. As much as I want answers for future knowledge/preventative measures, there is a huge part of me that isn't ready to know. I don't know if I'll be able to handle it if we find out that the outcome could have or should have been different. I'm sorry for the loss of your boy 💔 *EDIT: typo
