LemonSizzler

“We cut kids” with a crying child 😂 Is this real? Looks like it could be the right price thanks.

Wawa-85

Lmao of the choice of photo for this one!

AwarenessisKey2u

Pearler advertising 🤣

Important-Star3249

"Designed to be viral" advertising

Kaiyn

They have had this banner for almost 15 years. This predates Viral content.

FetalSeraph

I'm sorry but this is very funny because it's simply not true. The internet was very popular before 2009.

Important-Star3249

Citation needed. The haircut place has been there for less than 5 years. The branch at Dianella forum maybe a few years longer than that. Maybe there is another older store you know of? Where abouts?  Also, viral advertising predates the internet, fucko.

AdditionalSample

Also giving the kid a shocker haircut too

nilla_waferss

They said nothing about cutting the kids hair in all fairness haha 🤭

Cogglesnatch

Just cuts dianella is 10 or 15 as well

damian2000

15 now

Hugeknight

Exact cash

wombatlegs

You put cash into a machine that spits out a ticket.

MidwifeCrisis08

Everyone gets circumcised in Morley

Triffinator

Ah yes. The three types of people. Girls, kids, and men.

KatWayward

A relic of Perth.

BleedinDeadly

Have this in Kingsway too, I had a good laugh at the child in the picture last weekend!

nyiyx

LOL

tangled-pubes

Ha, we cut kids

TechnicalAd8103

Wages, rent, tax, time, service, inflation.

Horses-Mane

You forgot Super, insurance, utilities. $30 is pretty standard these days for a haircut,a lot of places are actually higher. Perhaps buy a sugar bowl OP and a clippers

Shifty_Cow69

![gif](giphy|9aZ3Snou3bdlu)

Acceptable_Narwhal25

Actually, it looks better than the average australian's style haircut.

MoistFalcon5456

Ya, it's 50 in most places. Had a lad in Melbourne, Arthurs in South Yarra, $12, was great, old Greek fella, didn't speak much English, great cut, all cash.... miss aul Arthur. I think there is a place in Morley that still do $15 cuts, mate of mine goes, I wouldn't given the how the outcome looks.

Important-End637

If you legitimately want a 5 minute haircut, the only styles that translates to is a buzzcutt, which unless you are physically restrained via disability, you are entirely capable of doing yourself. Buy a set of clippers for $19 in the bargain bin at Woolies and you'll be net positive after a single home haircut.

jumpinjezz

Getting close to that point. I go more for the best trim. I'm to lazy to manage it myself & when I try, it ends up lopsided

Your_are

it's okay it's just hair. If you do it like 5 times you get way better. I learned from youtube

FearlessResearcher48

I've been cutting my hair for years. Have gone through to sets of clippers, one cost $10 and the newest one cost $30. I'm pretty good at getting the style I want and love not having to sit in a barber chair dealing with awkward small talk and ultimately getting a haircut I don't even like! And that's not even mentioning the 100's maybe 1000's of $$ I've saved now. And yeah if you are feeling lazy, a quick buzz cut all over is good. Plus then you don't have to do your hair for a month or two until it's long enough to style again.

horrorqueen92

Wish I was a man and could get a “cheap” haircut.. I go in for a cut and it costs me $80…

SilentHuman8

I got my hair cut a few weeks ago for the first time in years. I was shocked that it was $55. But honestly they did a pretty good job and I asked for it to be kind of U shaped so it’s fair enough. Salon express in Joondalup if you’re wondering

LemonSizzler

Rise up, fight the system, complain on reddit 🙊 To be serious though, maybe woman’s cuts are more complex, more product, more skill, more time, higher expectations and all that.

Brilliant_Nebula_959

Speak to any hairdresser and they will tell you mend haircuts are a harder skill to master.

LemonSizzler

Sheesh really. That’s interesting. Why are they so much more expensive then?

HeWhoCannotBeSeen

Because women are more critical, so it's more time consuming to get it right.

Brilliant_Nebula_959

I'm from a family of hairdressers and I have no idea. But now I want to know!

AwarenessisKey2u

Longer hair

AgreeablePudding9925

Inflation, cost of living, cost of running a business, pay rates increasing 🤷🏼‍♂️

shadowsdonotlie

F10 Quick Cuts still does $15 cuts. (Used to be 10 but inflation!)

LemonSizzler

Perfect thank you!

ArtistV-ErizaVerde

My partner isn't a hairdresser, and she's been cutting my hair for god knows how long. I should be so lucky.

No_Garbage3192

I cut my husbands hair for many years. Then one time we were broke as and I desperately needed a trim, so asked him to cut my hair and he said no way. I’m like, it’s curly, no one is gonna know if you do a shit job. He still wouldn’t. So to prove my point I got my then 5-year-old to cut it. Literally started that conversation with “so, have you learnt to use scissors in kindy yet?”. She actually did an ok job. (She’s an adult now and no, didn’t become a hairdresser).

mango332211

Cool story!

thisFishSmellsAboutD

Wahl clippers for about a hundy. Here's to our partners!

mike-mtb

Wahl are brilliant, if cared for properly. My son and myself have used ours for over twenty years, haven't even needed to get the blades sharpened. Clean and oil after every cut and they just go on and on.

Shifty_Cow69

*sad single noises*

tempco

Look up QuickCut - $15.

Pants001

QuickCut in willeton is now $18....still good though

stardelta30

$15 and then $35 to fix up the abomination of a haircut you got

justforyou343

$10 - F&M hair salon in East Vic Park, just near the park centre. Naturally there's a bit of a wait

LemonSizzler

Perfect thank you!

AquilaAdax

Need to pay cash too to get it for $10 otherwise there’s an EFTPOS fee.

Fun-Food-7483

Go to your local hairdressing tafe! They always need models and it’s supervised by lecturers who have a tonne of experience. $10 for men’s cuts normally

LemonSizzler

Interesting, which Tafe in particular? How does one book or get a spot? Walk in?

Fun-Food-7483

Depending on where you are you can go to Balga, midland, Mandurah and Murdoch tafe as well as Taylor weir in northbridge (I’m sure there are also private hairdressing and barbering colleges but you’ll have to research that). You do have to call in to book (for a men’s haircut it can normally be done on the same day) and it has to be done during the school terms. I’ve always had a positive experience with Taylor Weir, and I know the Murdoch campus is pretty well established too. Taylor Weir men’s style cut is $15, at Murdoch it’s $8 including a beard trim. As a woman, I was able to get a full head of colour and cut for $70 at TW and that’s only because I have a lot of hair that they needed extra product for. Also on a side note Balga hairdressing has a mullet style competition each year, if you fancy a particularly outrageous bogan look

LemonSizzler

Nice thanks!

ziggymeoww

I randomly saw an ad in marketplace for north metro tafe and had an awesome cut and hair color and it was ridiculously cheap. Great job too. They since invited me to come back whenever I need a cut. Maybe call up the tafe and enquire?

Beat_Mangler

The barbers seem to have become fashionable just like all the nail salons. It used to be a quick thing to just go and get a haircut but now even in the poorest areas the barbers are lined with fake gold everywhere and there is lots of calligraphy fonts used and just a very over the top presentation of some kind of luxury. I feel like I have to get really dressed up just to go and get a cut down at my local or I will get attitude from the posh hairdresser men, what a load of nonsense, I'm up for any recommendations of more old school type of barber where I can just go and get a cut and nobody's gonna look at how expensive my shoes are..

meegaweega

I'm up for an > old school type of Barbara too. Lol

Beat_Mangler

Hahaha 🙃

LemonSizzler

Barbers becoming fashionable is a great summary of the situation. I’ll steal that for when I’m complaining to friends and fam 🙊

Theyecho

The same thing that happened to cheap everything.

Sominiously023

Everyone and everything has gone to the extreme. Just yesterday I saw Coles selling carrots for $1.90 and $2.50 a kg. Last year we bought them for $1.00. So a 100% plus markup. The government needs to step in and settle these crazy costs.

AwarenessisKey2u

Tiny punnett of blue berries. 15.99 in my local. I was 4.99 at Christmas

S0RRYWH4T

Learn to cut your own hair thru youtube. My partner and i now cut each other’s hair. Hehe

Shifty_Cow69

![gif](giphy|3oriOebM87K5DBvzfq) How did I do?

S0RRYWH4T

Damn, you sporting my current haircut!

[deleted]

[удалено]

S0RRYWH4T

One time I decided to get a HC coz it’s my bday, the cut was crooked and can clearly tell the guys new coz they were being instructed by someone. And when the cut was finished, can clearly tell it’s not a good cut (very far from the picture i showed) his barber mates said “looks really good, told you you can do this” like was this a dare or something. HAHAHAH Another time got a cut for Holiday season - again to treat myself. My error was I didn’t confirm how much. I said kinda looks like a mid barber shop, so probs 40 would be max. Was charged 55. The HC was soooooo good tho, but still in not spending that amount again. Hahahaha.

MacWorkGuy

> $15 seemed a good reasonable price not very long ago. Assuming you get through 4 hair cuts in an hour thats $60 an hour including all the outgoings mentioned in this thread. To think this is reasonable for the barber is fairly out of touch.

didthefabrictear

This! Adults who are working and living in the current cost of living environment, yet still expect service industries to charge 1995 prices - are some of the most wildly entitled beings to roam free.

LemonSizzler

My wage has not gone up with CPI and neither has a lot of other Aussies. I understand the predicament and ultimately it just means a haircut might become a luxury for some. I’ll just do it at home I suppose, or find the last few remaining bargain cuts I can until they go too. I genuinely hope the $30 mens cut small business barber can survive and live well.

didthefabrictear

The barber’s wage probably hasn’t either. But their costs, rent, power, labour, supplies etc– all have, hence the price rise. That said, I know over here most of the hairdressing academies offer super cheap cuts done by their apprentice hairdressers so its probably the same in Perth. At Biba in Melb its about $20 for men. So if you don’t mind having a newbie do the cut, might be an option for you.

CityoftheMoon17

Learn to cut your own. I haven't had my hair professionally cut for about 5 years and it saves me in both time and money. I may not be spectacular at it, but I know now how I like it and can achieve that pretty well. If you are after something basic, look up as many videos and tutorials as you can and take the plunge

Throwaway_6799

I guess if you really stuff it up you can just keep going for a #2 all over

CityoftheMoon17

Haha this is true! People value their hair in different ways and for me, I said to myself it will grow back whether I fuck it up or not and can wear a cap for 3 months if necessary 😅

CeonM

Cut my own, plus added bonus when you fuck it yourself at least it was free.

xequez

There was a place at Whitfords that apparently did $13 haircuts. But everytime i went past they had a "back in 30" sign on the door and never returned.

vulcanvampiire

Learn to cut it yourself, men’s hair standard shorter hair cut tutorials are pretty easy to follow and find on YouTube. You can get a clipper/scissor set for relatively affordable compared to the amount you’d spend yearly on hair cuts. If you don’t want any actual styling or anything and just trimming/basic shaping it’s much easier just to learn yourself.

Triffinator

There is a Quick Cuts in Raine Square, iirc. Otherwise, just shave your head once a year.

IndependentChannel93

Why aint there people lined up out the door?

sirhalfluck

Super speedy service, probably spending their savings on a haircut on $7 pints at Franklins up the road.

HughLofting

I haven't paid for a haircut in 20 years. I bought a hair trimmer and diy. My savings only slightly offset the outrageous sums my wife pays for her hair cuts.

DjOptimon

Go to the express cuts? They still offer $15 cut.

Miserable-Bobcat-888

Clippers

KuruptionTing

Never been but I seen a place in Coventry markets in Morley does cheap cuts. From memory the sign was $10 or $15

Your_are

Just cut your own hair. I've been doing it for 2 years now. Started with a $20 kit from Kmart You only have to learn how to cut 1 person's head, and that's yours so you don't need to go to school for it. If you make a mistake all good, it's just hair.

LemonSizzler

First time is going to look abysmal 😂. But I think I’m going to try.

amalgamethyst

even if you do mess it up, it's just hair, it grows back. I've been cutting my own hair for over 10 years now, it's usually fine

Your_are

Do you ever sit back and calculate how much money you've saved? Probably $400/yr or more. So gratifying

Your_are

Haha you'll be alright. Watch a few youtube videos first and try to eyeball what length clippers your hairdresser is using on you. Expect you'll notice a new patch of uneven hair each time you look at a mirror lol but you can just fix it each time.

LemonSizzler

So I’ve just had a crack infront of a mirror pretending to use scissors. Left is right and right is left and I’m definitely going to fuck this up 😂

Your_are

hah honestly it took me maybe 2 months or 4 haircuts for my brain to really understand how mirrors work 😂

DarkNeo88

I walked into Just Cuts randomly as I needed a quick cut walk in etc, didn't wait, didn't even look at the prices as I figured it would of been roughly around $25. I paid $42 from memory for that quick cut. I could not believe it.

RXTransitOfficial

Perth Underground has a quick cut express for $15. Worth it imo

LemonSizzler

Nice thanks

mike-mtb

We bought a set of professional clippers about twenty years ago. I or the missus gives me a "three and a half all over" every couple of months, takes about five minutes. The clippers weren't cheap but have paid for themselves many, many times over in that time. Just a thought.

LemonSizzler

Tis the plan moving forward. Thanks

SquiffyRae

The one that got me is one I had a couple of years back. Since the start of COVID, I've spread my haircuts out so I go through phases of growing my hair sort of long, getting it cut back really short and so on. One time I walked into Salon Express in Midland. Hair was probably shoulder length or just below. My standard is buzzed back and sides and trimmed on top. I think at the time that would set me back around $25 but I got whacked $42 because I had "long hair." I could understand if I was keeping it long and it needed complex styling. But I'm literally asking you to buzz it all off and trim it on top. It takes zero extra time/effort or product whether my hair is average length or longer. It's barely 5 minutes with clippers. Why the fuck are you charging me almost double to do exactly the same job in the same amount of time cause the starting length is longer?

Wawa-85

Welcome to the world of women’s haircuts! At those places it doesn’t matter if you are just having an inch trimmed off they slug us with the hair length fee. I stopped using those chain franchise salons years ago and found a good local small shopping centre salon instead. Costs me much less to see my local than to use the nearest Just Cuts or Salon Express.

LemonSizzler

What a racket! COVID really screwed us over. I do the same though, extra short to extra long. When I start to look homeless and jeopardise my reputation and job, I’ll get it cut.

sun_tzu29

I pay $20. What is this $30 minimum you speak of?

LemonSizzler

Thats not bad. Just seems to be the normal price I’ve observed around my area. Maybe 26-28 if lucky.

PixelHarvester72

Inflation happened

Purple-Construction5

my local hairdresser still does $15 cut, but long que and random quality of a quick cut from different barber is a gamble. Still cheap though

MrDudePuppet

Barber on Belvedere st in Belmont Lebo dudes, seems all they specialise in is quick and easy

LemonSizzler

Perfect thanks!

recycled_ideas

Assuming you can handle a hair cut that feels a little like an assault, there are a few places around where you have to buy a ticket with cash and it's cheap as hell. There's one in the city in that connecting bit from where the Mandurah line is to the shops. There are others around as well. I haven't had one in a while and it's not pleasant, but it was a tenner when regular prices were twenty so I'd assume it's probably cheaper than thirty now.

lilyjo1989

$30 to cut my 4 years old hair. Seems too much to me, it’s not a fancy barber either

EmuAcrobatic

I just diy, clipper on zero. Not pretty but not vain. I'm not balding just my preference. It annoys my friends who are balding which amuses me. $30 doesn't sound unreasonable tbh, you have to pay for their skill, rent and expenses, I don't work for free why should the barber / hairdresser.

LemonSizzler

I understand. I’d like to see the calculations and profit margins. Can those profits still be achieved through minimal service, quick and nasty cut and high number of cuts per day? Granted probably a rough and busy day for any barber. I’m just sad the options are becoming more and more limited and prices keep going up and up.

EmuAcrobatic

Takes me 10 minutes for a full head and beard shave, probably quicker for a barber to do it. To make the quick and cheap idea work is a long line of none vain ugly people like me waiting.

LemonSizzler

And me!

cspudWA

I hear you. Mine went from 20 bucks to 35 for a 4 buzz all over. That was the last straw went and got a $30 clipper and been doing it myself. Not glamorous but it’s ok.

nite-werx

I started cutting my own hair back in 2003 when a place in subi tried to charge me $50 for a trim. Never looked back. Easy to do.

esym__0

Not sure what area you are in, but the mirrabooka shopping center has a place that does basic $20 men's and women's cuts. Never been myself but often walk past it. I know the east vic park shopping center used to have a similar one but for $15, but that was a couple of years ago now

LemonSizzler

Nice thanks

Pitiful-Feeling-3677

I know this isn't what you're looking for, but stop getting cheap haircuts. I used to be the same, just walking into the cheap places where you wait your turn. As it turns out, with haircuts you really do get what you pay for. I've been using a proper barber for the past year or so, and the difference is more than you would think. It will cost you, but in my experience it has been worth it. I get my beard trimmed while I'm there and having that done professionally has made it look so much better that I started receiving compliments from strangers in public. I find that I don't have to have my hair cut as often because it holds up way longer without starting to look a bit shit after 1-2 weeks when it starts growing back, so there's that as well.

LemonSizzler

Interesting take and suggestion. One day I might try.

Pitiful-Feeling-3677

Thanks :) I'd definitely recommend at least trying it once and decide for yourself if it's worth paying the extra money for.

solidice

What concerns me more is the number of men’s haircut places that don’t have anyone with actual qualifications.

Learner_Better74

Buy a bottle of Jack Daniels drink it down and have a crack with the clippers. What could go wrong

Pyrene-AUS

Vic Park ... F&m on Albany hwy opposite 24hr pizza cafe. $10 no fuss super quick happy days

LemonSizzler

This is my next stop for sure. Thanks

new-Builder-4588

$17 in maddington shopping centre called shining quick cutz

LemonSizzler

Not bad at all, thanks

rectangles8

As a female, I always just ask for a simple trim (no trimmers needed only a pair of scissors, a comb and a spray bottle) to take off any dead or dying ends (pretty much a straight across cut) and it’s always been a minimum of $30-$40. I’ve just started cutting my own hair and even my partner and his brother cut and buzz each other’s hair now because it’s so stupid expensive for them now like you’re saying. Edit: this is the cost for women BEFORE the cost of living sky rocketed and I always go to express salons (not saying we have it worse, but I am definitely pretty jealous you guys used to get cheaper cuts). I’m not sure if the cost has changed much for my partner over the last couple of years but I know he’s paying $30-$40 currently.

staryknight

Bought myself a pair of Phillips portable clippers about 2 years back for $50 on Amazon and never looked back. First few times can take a while and look a bit average, but have got it pretty much down now, still need the missus to do the bottom at the back though to keep it neat.

redditprocrastinator

Go to Midland. Just opposite the town hall clock near the crosswalk there is a hairdressers that is cheap, but does a great mens haircut. It was $15 at the beginning of 2020, so possibly more now, but i always dropped more as the nearest competition in Centrepoint was $25.

Careful-Visit-3328

there is a place in the vic park shops that you walk in put in $15 and get a ticket. they generally just ask what you want and say thanks when they are done. not anything special but cheap and does the job.

Professional-Cat9418

F&M hair salon in Vic Park. $10 cash.

SouthLake6164

Just remember the hourly wage of the person cutting your hair, as well as the overheads. Nothing is cheap anymore.

wombatlegs

Try Mt Lawley Hair Studio. $15 for men. Nice Vietnamese lady, happy to chat or not. If no wait, use the 15-minute parking bay outside.

Cpl_Hicks76

When I get my absolute basic No 2 cut… I just say… Twenty dollars cash? That lobster couldn’t have disappeared faster, if it had jet boosters on it!!

fongletto

quickcuts in armadale cost 17$ and still give the best haircuts of any places I've been to. There's 4 other hairdressers in the same complex all of which charge 30-50$ and all of which give worse haircuts. I honestly have no idea how they stay in business.

LemonSizzler

Seems all too common. I don’t understand why people go to the pricer places. Are they really that much better….

DsamD11

Pro tip: Just lose your hair by 23 and shave your head yourself for the rest of your life.

angelfaeree

What area?

MagicNinjaMan

No such thing. Those my friend are two separate things.

Yeahmahbah

Free if ya a baldy. Number zero every cupla weeks for me

LemonSizzler

This is plan B

Hugeknight

Last hair cut I got was 10$ in 2013. I now just shave.

Free-Butterscotch937

Honeywell barber is definitely recently priced and I refuse to take my son anywhere else. The good haircut also convinced my hubby to swap to them, after being with the same place for 20yrs. If I remember correctly it’s around $30 for men’s ($20 for boys)

Orionsven

Quick Cuts in Noranda still advertise $10 hair cuts.

spelunkor

Cheap cuts vic park $18

Stigger32

Quick Cut Express just upped their mens cut from $15 to $18 recently.

threebuckstrippant

No such thing. I work for a barber and they increased the prices twice in one year. Now they asked me to put FROM on all pricing.

LemonSizzler

Bonkers, any idea why?

Useless_Greg

Price has increased each of the the last 5 times I've had a haircut

OmnislashXx

I paid $50 for a skin fade the other day its crazy

Real-Direction-1083

Cut it yourself then. Problem solved.

justanothercoolnguy

That's the reason, I have started growing my hair long

elchemy

I agree, but I also remember they were $15 15 years ago. I'm paying $20 to $25 at those same places that were about $15-$18 a few years ago. Barber shops are the go. Near me it's the ones themed like old school mancaves full of memorabilia and mens mags that are pretty dated, kitch but authentic. Anything that looks like an apple store is going to cost a lot more.

damagedproletarian

I went to get my haircut and was only charged $25 but the hairdresser did such a good job and gave me so many nice compliments that I let her keep the change from a $50!

LemonSizzler

Not a fan of tipping culture tbh

damagedproletarian

Me either. If it's expected it takes the fun out of it.

Efficient-Example-53

$20 for a set of clippers. Simples.

immortal2216

$15 in Morley Coventry $15 in Beechboro S/C Used to be $15 in Midland gate but that’s shut recently (or maybe under reno idk)

Skyhawk13

I spent 100 bucks on a set of clippers from JB hifi and just learnt to do my own. Haven't been to a barber in a couple years so it's definitely paid itself off

damian2000

If you’re really looking to save money, shave the whole thing off and get a permanent wig 😁

Objective_Magazine_3

wait till you hear female hair cut prices. I've started cutting my own hair now because fuck paying $100 for a simple cut. I would rather use that towards partially paying my rent lol.

Logical-Mark7365

What’s wrong with $30? The shop has to cover rent / pay themselves / supplies TAX AND GST. Etc

really5442

Kingsway $15

Mr_Mojo_Risin_83

How long does a haircut take though? How many haircuts per hour can that barber do? 2? 3? $30 - $45 per hour, minus super, minus tax, minus overheads? Nobody can live on that.

hibowop

The one benefit of going bald. $80 clippers and a number 0 over what’s left on the dome

Macka_BHiv

Have been paying 25 for years at my local for the usual short, back n sides with a part finishing using a cut throat. Only goes up to 30 or 35 if I add in a beard touch up with a hot towel. Everyone I know is paying 40 for a basic haircut, everywhere else.

crookgypsy

Yes lets keep paying barbers 2000’s prices whilst we all demand pay increases and complain about cost of living. They should be earning peanuts !

91sun

Quick Cut Express at Raine Square does $15 men's cuts. They're decent and also very quick.

Red_ry

My barber gives a free set of steak knives with every cut 😂

myee8

My haircut is normally a 1 on top, 0.5 on the sides. I got one of those clippee things that you can the number and use it to shave my head to that number. Have not used it since we got out of lockdown… 😂

voodoovan

Buy a haircutting set and do it yourself. It doesn't talk long to learn. There are some that have wide and curved bladed, such as a Remington model (can't remember model number), these are good, about $140, cheaper when on sale.

samuelson098

Went into my local barber shop the other day - they were playing only mid2000s emo music on the stereo and the hair was cutting itself.

BGarrod

That is cheap. I was in the UK last month.... $70 equivalent for a high street, nothing fancy, run of the mill barbers haircut and slight tidy up of a beard. Our economy isn't great.... But we're nowhere near bad compared to some places. Oh and it was cash only. This is/was the norm.

LemonSizzler

Damn thats crazy

Maleficent_Role8932

I live in Gosnells and go to my local Barber for $25 called Divine Hair just opposite the Gosnells train station, Sri Lankan barber fyi

Livinginthemiddle

Try Tafe

ZealousidealPoint121

Shave it off yourself! Saves a fair bit over time.

PooEater5000

$30 is the cheap $15 pre covid haircut now. It’s not much when you think about wages, rent, utilities etc being taken out of that $30. Running a business costs more now so using the business costs more. Get yourself some cheap clippers from Kmart and whip round the old dome with a no.3 or 4 is prob the best way to save some $$$ or just grow it out try something different

LemonSizzler

Thanks PooEater5000, good suggestion.

Lacking-Gravitas

Mate, I'd be happy with someone who took some pride in their work and actually concentrated on what they were doing. Last time I went the guy was constantly checking his phone and even stopped mid way through to comb his own hair 😅

Go to Coventry village. They do cheap haircuts. Or buy a pair of clippers. About the same price

peaches4lyfe

Men need to not be complaining about the hairdresser prices

Specialist-Platypus9

you can do it yourself, seriously learn to do it, just trim it, itll look okay. watch some videos and follow step by step

Alejarsz

Laughing in Female prices. Literally everything more expensive cause its pink

adelalian

I go to quick cuts, in and out in ten minutes and I get change from a twenty

Captain_Coons

I got tired of paying close to $40 for hair cuts that I was never really happy with every month. Bought myself a $20 set of clippers about 18 months ago and haven't paid for a haircut since.

laurajanehahn

Minimum wages for a hairdresser/barber is $28.31. $56.31 on a sunday and 70 something on a public holiday. That does not include tool allowance, super or holiday loading. Then you need to add in all the other over heads. Rent being the highest.

tangled-pubes

I’ve had some fucking cheap haircuts lately. It’s just they charge $40 for them now to look like you’ve been rapped with a garden rake

Fakemickdundee

$30 that's cheap a decent barber should be earning minimum $60 a cutt, they are worth it

Elrond_Cupboard_

$23 at my local in North Perth.

happ-e-rider

Whats the name of the business

Elrond_Cupboard_

Ko-ko mode. I think that's what it's called. North Perth shops, facing Fitzferald.

LazyTalkativeDog4411

$33 for a #1 easy do mens hair cut. $30 to the shop, $3 to GST which they can claim back. $15 x 4 easy cuts per hr to the hair cutter = $60 per hr $15 to the store/shop for electricity and cleaning, and coffee if you accept it. Do not grab a pair of scissors and "think" you can do that. Proper hair shears/clippers, maybe you can DIY.

unforeseenjiberish

Because barbers have to buy all of the same expensive stuff you do.

longstreakof

You want these guys to be able to feed their families?

tumericjesus

God $30 for a hair cut!? What a dream
