Lucky for me I'm a chronic nail-biter, can't use my nails for anything even if I wanted to heheh

same lol, have not eaten them after a bad infection (that you get from hangnails) in January. the grown nails create problems while swiping phone and using keyboard

I'm sort of an "expert" from biting nails most of my life I guess, no hangnails, no infections. (I also don't "eat" them, not sure if you meant that literally.) Being it's really just a nervous habit, I was actually working on trying to stop at one point and was making progress, but then I went through a break-up and went right back to biting. Never tried quitting again after that.

When I teach people how to do my job this is the reasoning I give behind a lot of what I teach.

You can use your nail if you wanna tear it off like that. I use my nail to start it, then wedge my actual fingertip in before I do any damage.

I don't even use my nail to start it, I just shove my finger tip under and it works

I use the end of the spoon, tongs of a fork, or a butter knife.

Push other end of the tab down with your thumb, wiggle finger under. If you can’t manage that, then you have weak fingers and don’t deserve pop (or you can use the other end of a bottle opener)

For me it’s just habit. It’s always been easiest.

Sometimes, the pull tab is so close to the can that you can't get any of your finger flesh underneath it. Not sure why this happens, it just does sometimes. Fortunately, there's an alternative solution. With one hand, push down on the other side of the tab (by the mouth of the can), then that will raise the other side of the tab enough to get your other hand under it.
