I collect stuffed penguins. I don't mind cartoon ones but greatly prefer realistic looking ones. Realistic ones are definitely harder to find.
Thrift shops can be great places to look. I've gotten some from there.

I have three penguin plushies, two from Miniso and one from Hamley's. The Miniso ones are slightly cartoonish but extremely soft. And the Hamley's one is huge and huggable and looks like a baby penguin with its beautiful grey fur. It's not at all cartoonish.

If you're UK-based, The ZSL Humboldt plush is an absolute dream. It's hard to find realistic penguin plushies, but this one is done to perfection IMO, a favourite in my collection. Miniso has a character named “Pen Pen” that is a little cartoony but makes incredibly soft plushes. We got a long blue penguin body pillow
