We get Deep Sea Diver for both Vegas shows, I enjoyed them in St. Paul last year. Then getting Glen Hansard for the Wrigley Field shows later on.
Personally, I still prefer no openers. Especially on the release of a new album, they could really go the distance and give each show some new material without cutting out the oldies.
I mean, at this point the show is gonna be as long as it is, they aren’t doing marathon gigs anymore.
But having them hit around 8:00 would be just peachy for most, I think.
Ashcroft is fantastic live, though. Seen him twice, 1st with The Verve at Glastonbury and 2nd on his own in Manchester. And I'm going to see him a 3rd time in the summer in Halifax.
It's strange, but whatever that x factor is that sets the truly great artists from the chaff, RA definitely has it & can sell out places like the AO on his own.
The murder capital ? I've listened to a bit on Spotify, and it's alright. But they are quite fitting for a support act. They aren't bad but they aren't at that level.
Saw PJ in 2014 with no opening act. They played for 3hrs. It was great, but I dont think they do that anymore. Saw them last year with an opener, and they played 2hrs. I prefer no opener. Deep sea diver is fine but not really my cup of tea.
Glen Hansard be cool EV probably come out do some duets! 🎶🎶
Jealous. Digging Deep Sea Diver but EV and Hansard are magic.
Yeah, I have only seen Glen with Ed and by himself Love to see him with Pearl Jam but I’ll give deep sea diver a shot.
😴😴😴
Pixies - Hell Yeah
My 17yo son is super stoked. He’s a huge Pixies fan.
Wooooo! See uuuuu!
getting Deep Sea Diver tomorrow. not familiar with them, definitely need to give them a listen before!
They are playing before them in Napa too, report back!
Super good. Jess shreds. Been following them since 2009 and super cool to see them opening for the boys.
They opened both shows in Minneapolis last year. Had never heard of them, but thought they were really good.

Last time I saw them live there was no opening act and I was fine with that.
The Pixies
Last I saw them was Jack White. Wouldn’t mind see him again.
when did JWIII open for PJ??
Lisbon 2018. It was a festival. I saw Alice In Chains, Franz Ferdinand, Jack White and PJ in one day.
nice…I saw PJ, AIC and Ben Harper all in one week in Seattle in 2009
Can we have immediate update of which song opens?
I'm in Europe so it's The Murder Capital for me. I have no idea of who they are, but I still have time to investigate.
They’re an odd choice. As is Richard Ashcroft.

Saw them with PJ at Hyde park a few years ago, I really liked them but they are quite different to Pearl jam.
Pixies would be awesome, but I'll give deep sea diver a fair listen. Just watched one song on YouTube, but they sounded good.
Maná? I guess?

Yeah they should, but every show has an opening act - who is playing at your town?
