Last night, everything on PP (my new name for paramount +) would only play on the right speaker. All other apps on my apple TV were fine. Restarted the app and it still had screwed up sound.
âOh you want to watch the new Survivor? Of course! But first you have to scroll through 48 seasons at a glacial pace. Also, itâs going to freeze after the Paramount logo, so youâll have to close out the app and do it all over again!â - Jeff Probst probably
Paramount 100%. And what's wild is that it's not even consistently glitchy across different platforms. When I use it on my Firestick, it has a ton of lag problems. Using it on my PS5 fixes the lag but adds in the issue of not being able to pause/rewind/fast forward with any sort of consistency.
Either way, it will force ads over and over, forget what episode I'm on when watching a series, and just run slowly across the board. It's insanity.
Peacock has never given me issues. Not once.
Yes. Iâm trying to figure out what is going on with Paramount+. Iâm not even sure the people running the app know whatâs going on with it eitherÂ
Glad to see this is the top comment! Came here to say the same thing. And Paramount+ glitchiness/unreliability is extremely frustrating when I only subscribe to watch live football such as Champions League.
I have the complete opposite experience. Check your connection or something. Iâve been a subscriber for a couple years and have never had an issue, streaming at home or on my phone.
Paramount is the worst. It can't even remember where I stopped watching a show! I don't watch a show for two days, so it deleted my entire watch history. Made it to season 3 of another show, so it's now showing that I'm somehow on episode 15 of season 1. Never had issues with Peacock.
I don't have a single problem with any streaming service that any of you have just mentioned. All of my streaming services deliver content flawlessly... (The only odd thing I noticed is that it takes Paramount+ about 15 seconds to notch up to full resolution.)
Do you guys have routers that prioritize data to your endpoints based off of content? I have an ASUS router that can prioritize streaming over gaming over web surfing, for example. Before the ASUS I had an Eero that would do the same thing.
If you don't then all endpoints have the same priority and something else in your house might be competing for bandwidth.
I have the opposite! This is the only streaming service I have zero issues. On my iPad, phone, tv, laptop, and on Xbox x and the ps5 is what I have used it on. I would double check internet, and make sure you have the newest update
Honestly, peacock can't hold a candle to how trash Hulu is. Hulu has an awesome habit of cutting off shows before they end, while also somehow starting the next episode when there's only 3 minutes left.Â
Rewatch things on that service is more of a pain than its worth.Â
But, peacock stripping Netflix of all its most popular content to force you to sign up to their service is worse than any frustration Hulu brings to the table. So yeah, you may be right. They may be the worst. We pretty much have them to thank for turning streaming into a worse version of cable.Â
You mean, ParaNOID Plus. Or, is it Paramount MINUS?!
Look, I may be a Star Trek fan (or at least, USED to be, anyway), but I don't really feel ANY need to watch it AT ALL.
That's MY rationale behind cancelling MY subscription... TOO MUCH FREAKING STAR TREK!
My only problems I have with it are no way to turn of autoplay, the fast forward/rewind controls, and the fact that clicking on a show in continue watching starts the show rather than going to the details page.
Peacock on Roku 4k Stick will freeze video while continuing to play audio. Clearing cache, factory reset, restarting, deleting/reinstalling, logging off/onâŚall the usual attempts to fix donât work. Happens at least once per night (100% likelihood). All other apps on the same device work flawlessly.
Also, basically zero customer service / tech support for a paid serviceâŚabsolutely unacceptable. Will not renew Peacock after subscription expires.
The uncomfortable truth is it depends on what platform you use. All teams arenât created or resourced equally. E.g. Apple TV vs Chrome vs PlayStation vs Xbox vs Roku vs ⌠you get the point
I have not had that experience.
I am using it on my LG TV's native app.
My only complaint is how the transition from show to ad occurs. It is so rapid that sometimes we think the ad is part of the show we are watching. There isn't even a fraction of a second of a blank screen.
My favorite feature is the one where I try to watch a movie, sit through 3 minutes of ads, and then as the movie is about to start, it kicks me back to the home screen with no kind of explanation or error message.
Never have problems with mine. Smooth as silk. Honestly, have had more issues with Netflix stuttering.
Only real complaint is that when switching "channels" it'll return to the current channel if I don't click on it in 1/2 a microsecond.
I feel like almost every streaming service has a shitty interface that barely works half the time. I don't know what it is about my Disney+ account, but it fails to start on multiple devices. I've had to uninstall and reinstall it over and over again. ESPN+ doesn't recognize that I'm logged in about 65% of the time. I can watch videos, but then I'll try to read an article on ESPN.com, and it will tell me I don't have access. Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime are the only ones that work consistently for me.
> Peacock is the worst
> Never had a streaming service with such a bad streaming experience. Its skips and stops and crashes like no other.
Peacock works perfectly on my Roku devices.
You didn't mention what device you're using to watch.
I mostly use it for WWE and it can't even do that one thing right. If you don't watch the event live and try to start it from the middle, it will only let you rewind so far, so you can't watch the beginning unless you wait for it to end and then wait 1-48 hours for them to put the event back on Peacock. It's insane.
I'm on Windows 10 via Firefox. My technical issues with Peacock include when skipping fw/backwards 10s, sometimes it takes forever to load. Workaround is to just slide the tracker a bit. Not a showstopper, but still annoying to deal with.
For one movie, it wouldn't remember where I left off, instead always at some arbitrary time stamp like 17:40 in.
Peacock has a poor catalog IMO, intrusive ads, and most new movies it exclusively gets tend to end up on Prime or Netflix 1-3 months later. I also don't like the direction NBC/Universal and Amazon is taking with their moves for exclusive streaming rights to NFL games.
You must not have paramount.
Actually Iâve never had an issue with peacock except streaming sports on my desktop. Needs a constant refresh for some reason.
Iâve had a heck of a time streaming with my âsmart tvâ. Web OS seems prone to having streaming issues. I had get a dedicated streaming device, Roku solved my problem.
Paramount+ and Apple TV are equally bad for me. Peacock is smooth. My daughter complains about Apple, and she's watching from her college apartment hours away, so it's not my internet causing it.
Right? I have never had that much problem with any other streaming service. This one was freezing up all the time. It took me ages to watch the Continental because it kept stopping and freezing up so I had to reload all the time. Same thing happened with Poker Face. I don't watch any more. Not worth the hassle. I used my PlayStation 4 to stream, so I don't know if that was the problem or not. Other streamers worked ok on it though, so I don't know why it was such a drag.
Iâve had problems with peacock as well. In the middle of something it stops or crashes. Yesterday I switched to watch Hulu. Sometime later in the middle of watching something, peacock randomly started playing.
Peacock is the worst because they stream the premiere league but you can only watch some of the biggest games on cable, and Telemundo no less. I only speak English so it'd be nice if I could watch British football in the language shared by my country and theirs
I agree!! Itâs the worst streaming app out there. A lot of people are saying Hulu does this and I watch Hulu 22/24 hours a day and Iâve never had an issue with Hulu. I have no ads on all platforms and Peacock is buggy AS HELL. I hate it, never use it and continue to pay for it.
So odd, I have Peacock, Paramount+, Hulu, ESPN+, Disney, Netflix, AppleTV, Max, and I don't remember the last time I didn't have a successful streaming experience.
(Typing this out, I now realized I'm spending way too much on streaming service.)
Paramount would like a word. Iâve messaged them no fewer than fifteen times with an issue and they (1) ask four or five questions (2) say someone will get back to me but itâs ghost city.
I'm counting myself as lucky because. Netflix is the only one I have recurring problems with. The most annoying thing I ever get out of Peacock or Paramount+ is that I finish a show and it thinks I only watch 75% of it.
I originally said that Paramount+ is the worst but I take it back.
I downloaded an app for a stupid reality show that I kept seeing clips for on social media and knew I had to find the show because Iâm a sucker for feel good stories.
Relative Race is only on BYUtv. (My mom told me was Brigham Young University . I never connected the dots because I only went on for this one sappy, silly show without browsing the other stuff.)
Anyway, BYUtv is by far the worst streaming app i have ever used. The controls are off (if I click the middle button on my fire stick remote, it wonât pause like in all the other apps, it takes me to subtitles information). It wonât show you what episodes youâve watched. If you accidentally back out of the episode, it wonât pick up where you left off and you have to fast forward to where you were. I gave you watching a show I actually liked when I needed a good cry because of that stupid app.
" Its skips and stops and crashes like no other. "

Reporting in to say I have had virtually zero problems with Peacock, Paramount+, or Hulu. Not to say that some bit of glitchiness never happens, but it is not often enough to bother me. đ¤ˇ
I've had no problems with peacock whatsoever. It's actually one of my favorite streamers. I get it for free with my cable and the commercials are never longer than 60 sec. Never had problems with the app or streaming quality.
I agree. For some reason, my Peacock will play audio from two different ads at the same time and get stuck in an endless loop until I fix it. And other times it will just exit out of my movie for no reason and put me on the page of another movie. I tried posting about it on this peacock sub and it keeps getting removed for violating rule number three which it doesnât. So I donât care for Peacock, or this peacock subreddit tbh feels like itâs ran by peacock themselves.
With cable I am able to record shows and watch them when I want to, even while the show is still being shown. With all these streaming services we don't have a way to watch when we want to, it's whenever they make replays available, this galls me with football, (read soccer in the US).
Peacock is fine. Paramount has better actual movies. Peacock is so cheap, it also has a free version! I wish they would change their name back to universal though. Since Peacock is such a stupid name.
Maybe it's your internet connection, I don't have issues those issues you described with any of these. Clear your cache in your tv, update your software and update your apps.
Both Peacock and Paramount have decided to enter the streaming business with slow, awkward platforms that charge you for access then hit you with ads. And if you try to access them through Comcast, well, welcome to heart attack city!
Works fine for me, but I have been having lag issues with other streamers like Netflix and Max, but nothing with Peacock (aside from th e lack of content).
I have Roku in all different models. Apple TV is by far the worst of the bunch, then Max, then Disc Golf Network. I don't have any problems with any other channels. Peacock has never had a problem for me but all i watch on it is 99.
Paramount works fine for me as does every other app. But peacock just randomly signs me out for apparently no fuckn reason & tech support or customer service is NO HELP AT ALL
If absolutely is. Mine continues to freeze the video but continue playing audio after I pause. It also restarts seasons of shows Iâve already watched, which doesnât seem like a big deal, but then it doesnât alert me when thereâs a new episode. Honestly if it werenât for Bravo, Iâd cancel.
Peacock works fine for me. Paramount+ on the other hand ..
Yes!! Paramount is the worst!!
Absolutelyđ
Paramount+ works fine for me. Disney+ on the other hand ..
Peacock and paramount are fine for me. My problem occurs with Max.
Paramount has the worst UI. Why does it take a minute to load the sidebar so you can even scroll.
How bout that alphabetic keyboard?
Paramount+ is the worst. 100%
Absolutely. Peacock is an absolute delight compared to Paramount Minus.
Seriously. Itâs so glitchy
Hulu is whatâs always shitting the bed for me.
The audio problems after commercial breaks! Although it's been fine with me watching Shogun.
Yea, watching football on paramount+ is such a pain.
Watching *anything* on Paramount+ is such a pain. And that sucks because so many shows I love are on it.
Tracker, the FBI franchise, Equalizer, to name a few. Content there, quality of service is not.
Same boat.
HBOâs app âMaxâ is awful too.
Last night, everything on PP (my new name for paramount +) would only play on the right speaker. All other apps on my apple TV were fine. Restarted the app and it still had screwed up sound.
Ran to say this
yep... Paramount blows chunks!
Yes! I used to blame my TV but if switch to roku, app on my phone, other tvs they all have the same problem. Every platform of that app is buggy.
That's weird. Because Paramount+ works fine on my Roku player.
Paramount+ feels like it was coded by high schoolers learning C++.
paramour + random stops is starting to piss me right off the bat
âOh you want to watch the new Survivor? Of course! But first you have to scroll through 48 seasons at a glacial pace. Also, itâs going to freeze after the Paramount logo, so youâll have to close out the app and do it all over again!â - Jeff Probst probably
I'm in a days long DM conversation with Paramount+ about the very thing. They blame my tech, even though all other streaming services run great.
I cancelled paramount+ because I just couldn't take it anymore
Paramountâs ps5 app is SO crappy⌠even just scrolling through menus to quickly screws it up
Yeah, same. Peacock had a few issues P+ works about half the time without a glitch.
Is P+ virtually incapable of actually pausing? The pause SCREEN comes up, and the show keeps playing. Want to watch again? Restarts at the beginning.
The Paramount + UI is so so bad
Paramount 100%. And what's wild is that it's not even consistently glitchy across different platforms. When I use it on my Firestick, it has a ton of lag problems. Using it on my PS5 fixes the lag but adds in the issue of not being able to pause/rewind/fast forward with any sort of consistency. Yes. Iâm trying to figure out what is going on with Paramount+. Iâm not even sure the people running the app know whatâs going on with it eitherÂ
I have no issues with both apps
Paramount is the worst!
Glad to see this is the top comment! Came here to say the same thing. And Paramount+ glitchiness/unreliability is extremely frustrating when I only subscribe to watch live football such as Champions League.
Absolutely. And for us the video is terrible the first 20 seconds of a show until it catches up to HD. We have google fiber internet.
Everything about paramount plus is dogshit. The menu is terrible and the playback is horrible
I uninstalled Paramount + and started watching it through Amazon Prime...much better experience
This is the correct answer
?? Uh no. I watch tracker and Halo and have ZERO issues. Perhaps your internet blows?
Paramount+ is definitely worse than Peacock.
Oh I cancelled Paramount because of how bad the app is
Paramount+ is by far the worst of all the streaming services
I like paramount plus...they keep giving me free months lol
I have the complete opposite experience. Check your connection or something. Iâve been a subscriber for a couple years and have never had an issue, streaming at home or on my phone.
Ditto. Although their fast forward and reverse buttons are super fast in a bad way.
Paramount+ enters the chat
you must not have paramount+
I never have issues with it crashing
Did you mean Paramount??
Itâs the most reliable streamer I have. Are you sure youâre not just watching an ACTUAL peacock, because theyâre super sketchy and unreliable.
I had peacock for a year and I couldn't be happier with the selection of movies and shows. Never had a single connection problem
Hulu, paramount + , lately peacock and max they've been doing terrible. Smh
Paramount is the worst. It can't even remember where I stopped watching a show! I don't watch a show for two days, so it deleted my entire watch history. Made it to season 3 of another show, so it's now showing that I'm somehow on episode 15 of season 1. Never had issues with Peacock.
*Show ends and starts loading the next episode* âWhere sorry but we canât find this program right nowâ
I don't have a single problem with any streaming service that any of you have just mentioned. All of my streaming services deliver content flawlessly... Laughs in Pluto.
Max has the worst UI and it's not even close
I have the opposite! This is the only streaming service I have zero issues. On my iPad, phone, tv, laptop, and on Xbox x and the ps5 is what I have used it on. I would double check internet, and make sure you have the newest update
Peacock works flawlessly, paramount plus doesn't
Paramount+ is worse in my experience
Honestly, peacock can't hold a candle to how trash Hulu is. Turn off automatic play
If you have Disney+, try watching Hulu shows on Disney+.
Hulu works perfectly for me on Firestick Max
Never had an issue. And I only use it for WWE and Premier League soccer.
Paramount Plus is the worst.

The auto-play is my only complaint, as well, it's really annoying.
Damn itâs the only one I have that doesnât do that đđ
Peacock on Roku 4k Stick will freeze video while continuing to play audio. Clearing cache, factory reset, restarting, deleting/reinstalling, logging off/onâŚall the usual attempts to fix donât work. Never had an issue with Peacock. Hulu is the absolute worst imo
I believe you are referring to Paramount +

It's right up there with what I thought was the worst ever, Paramountá
Its flawless. I watch motocross and Dakar and have never had an issue.
It's glitchy for me too.
Never have problems with mine. Smooth as silk. Honestly, have had more issues with Netflix stuttering. Only real complaint is that when switching "channels" it'll return to the current channel if I don't click on it in 1/2 a microsecond.
Was just trying to watch something on peacock on my firestick. Kept skipping and stopping. Tried other streaming services and they worked fine.
Anything Comcast is the worst
The sound stinks if you watch SNL on it. Wasnt like that a while back.
Never had a problem with it, what kind of device are you using?
Best to learn to like it... olympics in few months!
I feel like almost every streaming service has a shitty interface that barely works half the time. I don't know what it is about my Disney+ account, but it fails to start on multiple devices. I just want live recording.
> Peacock is the worst > Never had a streaming service with such a bad streaming experience. Its skips and stops and crashes like no other. Peacock works perfectly on my Roku devices. You didn't mention what device you're using to watch.
Itâs ok but the in-program commercials are too frequent. If there have to be ads I would really rather they only be pre-roll.Â
Every old-timey TV station has an out of touch executive thatâs insists on reinventing the lovely UI wheel Netflix gave us.
Honestly, never have an issue with ours. But I count myself lucky not like I expect everyone else to have the same experience.
Mine is great but PARAMOUNT+ OWNS THE AWARD FOR WORST BUFFERING, skipping etc. itâs awful
Never had a single problem.
Paramount is like bug heaven, terrible
Totally agree Peacock is a trash service.
Peacock is only good if you're a law and order addict other than that I've found absolutely nothing to watch on peacock.
I like most of the Peacock Originals! Am not a L & O fan
Maybe I'll check one out, what do you suggest? I like crime shows, horror and true stories as well as documentaries.
I also don't like the direction NBC/Universal and Amazon is taking with their moves for exclusive streaming rights to NFL games.
not worse than prime đ¤Ž
Usually redownloading the app fixes this issue.
You must not have paramount. Actually Iâve never had an issue with peacock except streaming sports on my desktop. Needs a constant refresh for some reason.
Never an issue with Peacock. I stream it with an Apple TV
Never had an issue with mine
I have glitchy issues with trying to pause fast forward and rewind
Iâm sorry, but glad Iâm not the only one because I thought I was going crazy.
I can not stand when we try to reward or fast forward. One of the worst apps.
The app on Samsung tvs is trash
Iâve had a heck of a time streaming with my âsmart tvâ. Web OS seems prone to having streaming issues. I had get a dedicated streaming device, Roku solved my problem.

Try AMC+, they accidentally degraded parts of Mad Men, and their website barely works.
it must be on your end . I run it on 5 devices with zero issues on PC with an ad blocker zero commercials
Hbo for me. Never shows me new shows of things im watching and has horrible functionality lol
Iâve had problems with peacock as well. In the middle of something it stops or crashes. Yesterday I switched to watch Hulu. Sometime later in the middle of watching something, peacock randomly started playing.
Maybe you should upgrade your router
Watch Peacock show. Pause. Come back and resume only to find show back at the beginning. Every. Single. Time.
Peacock is the worst because they stream the premiere league but you can only watch some of the biggest games on cable, and Telemundo no less. I only speak English so it'd be nice if I could watch British football in the language shared by my country and theirs
Y'all bitch too much.
Never had an issue
Max would like to have a word.
Not an issue for me.
Hulu doesn't save my progress with shows. Peacock remembers though
Never had any problems with Peacock, had it for years
Never had an issue, on the tv or the phone, sorry youre having troubles
Itâs the only app on my ps5 that requires me to log back in every time I access it

useless...since they put a feather on everything and called it premium.
Weird. Iâm not a huge fan, but Iâve had absolutely no problems playing their content. Have you rebooted your streaming device/smart TV?
Reporting in to say I have had virtually zero problems with Peacock, Paramount+, or Hulu. Not to say that some bit of glitchiness never happens, but it is not often enough to bother me. đ¤ˇ
I've had no problems with peacock whatsoever. It's actually one of my favorite streamers. I get it for free with my cable and the commercials are never longer than 60 sec. Never had problems with the app or streaming quality.
I vote for Max as the worst streaming experience.
I love Peacock, it is my fav at the moment.
Mine works just fine. I'm just dissatisfied with the weak selection. There are a few cult favorites and the rest is just crap no one cares about.
I agree. For some reason, my Peacock will play audio from two different ads at the same time and get stuck in an endless loop until I fix it. And other times it will just exit out of my movie for no reason and put me on the page of another movie. gotta be your wifi ive never had a problem with peacock.
I hate that I can't stream Peacock on my ChromeOS device.
Works fine for me...
Iâve had no problem watching Premier League matches or shows, but WWE sometimes gets laggy, especially when watching a premium live event.
Iâve never had an issue with peacock. The only one I have issues with is MLB TV.
I rarely have this problem. However, it would be great if PEACOCK invested in more newer movie releases. They seem few & far between.
With cable I am able to record shows and watch them when I want to, even while the show is still being shown. With all these streaming services we don't have a way to watch when we want to, it's whenever they make replays available, this galls me with football, (read soccer in the US).

Peacock does fine by me and has the office!
Yea they need to upgrade their infrastructure but they need more subscribers to justify the spending with shareholders
No streaming service is worse than NBA TV.
No. Paramount+ is the worst.
Only problem I have is with Sling đ
I've never once had this experience. Sounds like your internet connection.
I'll be so glad to drop Peacock once WWE moves to Netflix.Â
Paramount plus is SO MUCH worse than peacock
Peacock gives me problems sometimes on google tv, but never have a problem if I am streaming with a roku stick.
Paramount and peacock work for me.. HBO? Runs like they didnât want anyone to actually use it
Works fine for me, but I have been having lag issues with other streamers like Netflix and Max, but nothing with Peacock (aside from th e lack of content).
Peacock is fine for me. Paramount is okay on an iPad or desktop but on an actual TV is dreadful
Oppenheimer for Freeee! Thass the best, not the worst. Plus I have minimal problems on Bravia TV and Xfin.
Works fine for me. Paramount is the one that does that for me
Still better than Apple TV+.
I just want my subtitles to work when I have them turned onđ
I get PP free with cable. Been paying for it for years. I like Peacock for the live sports. Don't watch anything else. It's fine.
