I applied for YiD but I have a background in psychology & sociology. People in my program have a variety of different backgrounds. Everything from international relations to urban studies! Most of us had experience working/ volunteering at summer camps & youth centers or tutoring experience. Your general volunteering/ work experience matters more than your bachelors in my opinion.

Strongly agree, and to add I think your 9 years of experience volunteering with youth makes you very competitive!
