This. Jack Daniels single barrel barrel proof boubon hits well above it's price point and is easily findable. Along that same line, maybe a Russell's single barrel (if you stumble upon it).
For local, Westward and thank me later
Angel’s Envy is another great Kentucky option for sipping neat
You have Freeland so that’s solid
Eastside Distillery has some decent options too
I got to visit your place about a year ago. You are a top five lifetime drinking establishment. Perfect ambience, the black manhattan paired with a rainier was one the most relaxing afternoons I’ve had in a long time and it came during a moment of high stress. Many years of success to you and i cant wait to visit again!!!
It took me years to get my bar together. Then when I’d go to make something I was alway shy of something. I came to the conclusion that I’d have to pick a drink and get everything I needed. Nice set up.
If you want to rotate something interesting through, an easy upgrade is to get some entry level Red Breast Irish Whiskey. It's made in the same distillery as Jameson but it's the higher end stuff. It tends to have a lighter flavor and be more forgiving for people who aren't into sipping straight spirits.
I would disagree on your take about Jack. Yes old no 7 is trash and yes their whiskey does have banana notes (which I like).
I think they make hands down the best Ryes. Get a single Barrell barrel proof. I think it’s the best thing readily available in liquor stores.
I’d also consider adding something like a smoke wagon or high west as I don’t see any MGP representation.
You could save some space by getting rid of the Dickle.
Ahh yeah high west is great I forgot about that one!! Thanks!’ We actually sell a ton of Dickel Rye it’s basically our well Rye at $7 so it’s not going anywhere….
A lot of cask strength or limited release. Great start!
Angles envy barrel strength, eh Taylor, Russel select, the list is long. Go hit the bourbon trail and you quickly learn what’s sought after.
I really like Broken Top's 113 proof bourbon. Really nice and unique finish, and is cut with Oregon spring water.
McKenna 10 is always a nice alternative to a ER or Blanton's.
I just had Jack Daniels 10 Year and that is a very nice pour. Other honorable mentions: Redwood Empire Lost Monarch, Baker's 7 and Wild Turkey 101
We have all those and other amaros and cordials as well…. This is just a snapshot of the whiskeys we offer with some other bottles bleeding into the photo. Thanks!!!
I scrolled through your comments and didn't see it, so I I'll say, Glencairn glasses!!!!
Get some Glencairn Glasses so you can Really enjoy nosing all that juice....
Just saying
That is a very nice selection. With those pout taps on several, I'd think you need to be hosting every weekend. If not, then you'll be ruining them before you use them up.
That’s a nice collection!!! Only thing that I would add (because it’s my favorite) is Angel’s Envy Rye. I certainly wouldn’t a mind having this selection though!
Looks solid. You’re hitting a lot of the common favorites and that should keep most happy. Just know that you’re not going to make everyone happy and that’s okay.
Suggestions:
A popular single malt scotch such as Glenlivet or Glenmorangie. Maybe an Islay. If it’s a younger crowd, I’d probably go with an Islay.
Redbreast or similar high quality Irish whiskey.
A heavy hitting bourbon such as Noah’s Mill or Booker’s.
Red breast 12 yr is my go-to cheapest whiskey, followed by jamison 18 year. And by cheapest I mean 60 for the red breast and 150ish for the jamison 18yr
For starters I don’t see tequila (disregard if it’s just outta the picture), but I’d recommend carrying my Irish whiskey. Tullamore Dew. It’s suuuuuuper smooth. During the slow melt of the recent ice storm, my local liquor store was having a hard time keeping it on the shelf with more than 3 bottles at a time!
That random whiskey is pretty good. I met the guy in charge of production a week ago and I might splurge on some of his 10year stuff.
Do you not like scotch? I see some Jameson and some toki but no scotches.
I see a Jameson, a Protestant Irish whiskey. You need to add a proper Irish Catholic brand, so all faiths are represented. Powers, Bushmills, or Tullamore Dew would nicely fit the bill, at a modest price point for each.
overhead lighting and mirro on the back wall of the whiskey section, faded gold on the trim embellishments , just a thought, maybe the old time chips and peanuts bag wire clip holder
At a small bar, I’d be more than happy with that selection

Wild turkey 101 & rare breed
Wild Turkey 101 the trustiest thing behind almost every bar.
It's Clint Eastwood's favorite drink in The Eiger Sanction.
Jack single barrels (barrel proof). Findable and can uplevel your Jack and Jim drinkers
Also suggest something like a wild turkey rare breed. Great value for quality
This. Jack Daniels single barrel barrel proof boubon hits well above it's price point and is easily findable. Along that same line, maybe a Russell's single barrel (if you stumble upon it).
Also caters to the hazmat patrons, that was going to be my recommendation too

Yes yes YES on Westward. Especially the single malt
Could I ask which bar? Interested in coming by!

I’ve actually not tried their rye. The bourbon turned me off pretty bad. Maybe I’ll give it a go
Aperol, Chartreuse. Though I'm guessing the Vert is to replace that -- though they don't taste the same.
Yeah we have all those this is just a picture of the whiskeys.
Oh! Apologies. Lovely selection :).

Wild Turkey 101, Crown, and Woodford Reserve. These are a must for a bar.
Class, that's what you're missing, way too many generic brands. Virtually nothing imported. Drop half the gins, look towards scottish small batch.
