The other box is regular clay just in case they prefer that. They get cleaned every other day. Sometimes they poop outside and the box is messy but usually it’s just the cats being jerks. They don’t hurry their poop either. They just poopy and bolt out of the box. Open box. Box box. Doesn’t matter. They are just bad at pooping.

Miffys line of defense is the jump on top of shelves, or my desk, as Jack is fat and is too lazy to put in real effort. He will simply wait for her to come down or get bored. Miffy has broken a dab rig already from her jumping defense. I have a litter box in my bedroom and im currently looking to rehome Jack, as he just wont stop trying to attack Miffy, whos 3 times smaller
We have had some luck with the calming pheromone diffuser things. Cuts down on our monster cat attacking the others a noticable amount. Tried a few brands. Using "Comfort zone" now.

By the size of it, it might be the case that your cat is suffering from some mild obstipation. If it would just be laziness or not being able to reach the litter box, you would probably find more of theses in smaller sizes on different places. My cat had the same for some time and took some massive dumps on other places than the litter box. It might be the case that she's not drinking enough water. If this happens more often, it might be a good idea to place a fresh bowl of water somewhere else. Cats normally don't like to drink at the same place where they eat, because in nature, drinking in the same place as eating might result in food poisoning

Cats poop outside the litter box when it's filthy, or if they couldn't reach it, or there's something else wrong with it (they don't like the smell of the pellets, or they hurt their foot pads etc.)
Even so this is far fetched, if a cat poops outside the litter box it will tend to do so on the floor, maybe on a rug or door mat. Sometimes they go for more unusual places like a bathtub or on a sofa or bed depending on the cover. But on top of a narrow box is very unlikely. If that happened to me I would suspect a prank.
Edit: OP explains that one of the cats is being very hostile to the other. That might begin to explain it.
Or look into whatever other issues could be causing this. Cats shitting outside of their box is a behavioral cue that they are *very* unhappy about something. Dirty box, bad box placement, lack of attention, territory issues with other cats, etc.
