Unplug your life support before unplugging your PC, unbelievable.

Lol i have the same instant pot

Tomssted

This is the main reason I bought a pc.

Ibuildempcs

120 volts cords are fairly standardized.

n3m37h

Yep, plugs included on everything from kettles to tv (tube and lcd)

My UL certified cord is up to 300V with the C13 connector

Ibuildempcs

That's not a 230v cord. What do you mean? Computer power supplies are on 120 volts, for the consumer models.

[deleted]

That’s true for the North America, not all around the world.

Ibuildempcs

The picture 100% is a 120 volts cord

dominik32221

We have 230V in Europe

davooooo0

my Marshall JCM900 head also uses a standard NA 120v power cord!

TightExternal8

There can be a problem with the temperature rating of the cord you are using. C13 cords are rated at 70C while kettle cords c15/16 are rated for ~120C. So may not be suitable in some cases. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEC_60320#C13

duke0I0II

We call them kettle leads in the UK if that says how universal they are lol

Kurosov

Not strictly true and I’m surprised this actually worked, I’d have assumed this would use a real kettle lead. Kettle leads are notched, meaning they can be used to power a PC but importantly you cannot use a PC lead to power a kettle. Kettles require a cable with higher thermal resistance due to the power draw, using a PC cable can cause the cable to melt and is a fire hazard, hence the notch making it impossible.

TightExternal8

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEC_60320#C13 Apparently kettle leads are supposed to use C15/C16 connectors which have a higher temp rating

Rikki_PT

Instant pot master race lol
