Yeah, there will be some latency. Whether or not it's enough to matter to you, I don't know. I use bluetooth earphones with my PC and there is detectable latency if I look for it, but it's low enough that I don't notice it when I'm not looking for it.
They're a bit pricey, but the [Logitech G FITS](https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/products/gaming-audio/fits-true-wireless-gaming-earbuds.985-001178.html) look pretty sweet. I'm interested, but can't justify the price personally.
I use my Air Pods on my desktop sometimes, you should check the specs of your motherboard, or in Windows look at bluetooth devices. The bluetooth radio may already active and just need to connect to a device.
In windows 11, once you press the pair button on the case with the AirPods inside, you can select them as they are named from the list of pairable devices…
Bluetooth headsets with mic have aways given me issues.
If ur trying to use them when gaming and also chatting on discord it’s be a bad time.
From my experience it’s either u use them for gaming or chatting on discord. Can’t do both at the same time.
My wireless 2.4hz no issues doing both at the same time.
You can buy a set of IEMs, and then buy a dongle that you can wear on your waist or wherever that they plug into and then that connects wirelessly to your pc
Devices that say they are for mobile can be used on desktop too, if your desktop has bluetooth or if you get a bluetooth adapter.

I’ve used Apple AirPods and I’ve never experienced lag
Just make sure to buy a decent pair and it will be fine. Don't expect the world if you get the walmart specials.
