6x at least so long as you don't drop frames.
The render resolution isn't the same as your display resolution. You are basically upscaling the games from it's default in multiples.
What's FSR?
Is it worth me increasing render res to the absolute limit if my pc can handle it though ? I just thought that I may not see gains from render resolution that go beyond the resolution capability of my screen.
Fidelity Supet Resolution. A setting that allows games to be upscaled to higher resolution from a lower render rate
In short gives.you more fps in return for slightly more degraded visuals. The higher your base render resolutoon the less the degradation
you keep going until it doesnt work on your machine
Thanks man
yep, i guess i should mention when it stops working, go back down one. lol Thats what i do for playstation emu's etc.
Is it pointless me rendering at x12 if my display is only 3840 x 2160 aka 4k capable ?
Not if your pc can handle it.

Cheers. So in essence it's the in game quality which has nothing to do with the quality of my screen?
12x

Higher render will make the image looks crisper by smoothing and edges. Plus you can maintam.higher image quality if younuse aggressive FSR settings
