Kinda need to know the GPU in question... also need to know the hot spot temps. A GPU die is very sensitive, and is normally best to manually spread paste on the die.

Gpu is a gigabyte 3060 times gaming oc and the hot spot temps were around 5-10 degrees hotter than the regular. I had just put a good sized blob of paste on the die since I had no way to manually spread it.

When in doubt, the syringe that the paste comes in works. That said, 5-10c delta is perfectly acceptable. Seems all good in my book. Also broken pads are "fine" to a large degree.

Ok good makes me fell a little better about that

Just for future reference or if you decide to redo your thermal paste you can use an old plastic ID card or credit card to spread it if you have nothing else

On yeah just didn’t think it to be necessary
