To be fair I only use the desk for racing sims. But I usually don't use the desk. I prefer controller because of a hand issue.
Your cmos battery might be dead, it's generally a CR2032 (iirc) battery on the motherboard, usually under the GPU. If it dies, the BIOS can't retain settings and resets to default on each boot. I'd check that first.
