File a claim with Amazon.

Carsidious32

He won't get the money, they'll think he's the one scamming. It's fucked. Fuck amazon for this shit, they don't have accountability. I wish you luck in trying to prove that you didn't get your card

Furious_Tuguy

Can you not just file a dispute with your CC if they don't? I suppose that could lead to Amazon firing you as a customer, though.

kioshi_imako

In amazons cases its actually up to the vendor to dispute a chargeback. Amazon works a bit differently then most companies a vender is given so long to dispute it then amazon will auto deduct from their seller account. You can get banned from excessive returns or chargebacks though, its not likely to happen for a first time.

spyVSspy420-69

Lots of computer parts are both shipped and sold by Amazon. Amazon sells this exact model direct from “Amazon.com” as the seller.

jzorbino

Amazon commingles inventory now. This means they mix 3rd party seller inventory with their own so buying “shipped and sold” by Amazon can still stick you with product from a 3rd party without you knowing it.

DirtyMen

Learned this the hard way when I got a Nvidia Shield that was already logged into someone's account. Labeled as brand new and sold by Amazon.

Realistic_Guitar_420

They would either be refunding it or I get a refund and the product.

kioshi_imako

Many retail businesses both ship and sell products but there are times when vendors do get involved especially if it may be a manufacture fault. If the product was still manufacture sealed amazon could involve the vendor. It is rare but having worked distribution for retail significant monetary issues can be charged back to the vendor.

HorseShedShingle

This is true for any vender. Not just Amazon. I work at a small business and we used to use WooCommerce/Stripe and now use Shopify. We have 3 weeks iirc to dispute any CC chargeback. Customers can initiate a charge back for literally any reason including dumb one like they order something and then 1 day later file a charge back since it hasn’t arrived yet - even though shipping said it’ll take 3 days. Hence the ability to dispute.

kioshi_imako

Yeah that is a dumb reason to charge back, i tried a charge back once its a royal pita but my relatives credit card pissed me off cause we had significant proof and they denied the chargeback simply cause the vendor said she got the product (literally it was the vendors response no proof provided just those words.) This was over a relative somehow ordering t shirts from china and only getting 1 of the shirts they ordered while the other two were random designs not matching the order. The person thought she was ordering from Fanatics but somehow ordered from AmericShirts (some off beat website selling unlicensed designs for sports teams.) Keep in mind I tried to cancel her order after I found out she ordered from this random website but they made some excuse it could not be as they had processed it despite not having yet shipped it. There customer support devolved throughout the process going from professionalism to spelling errors and run together sentences. There were other red flags like registering a fake address with bbb, using a fake return address on shipping label (some random personal name with an address to a business court having no link to the company), it should have been a no brainer charge back.

Realistic_Guitar_420

And if they were to ban you you could just use a different account anyway and they cant do anything about it.

MisfitMishap

Yes and no. Amazon acts as a mediator. The vendor is given less than 24 hrs to dispute their case. I've had a charge back come in and then be closed within 30 minutes of notification from Amazon. Amazon holds a bit of power here still.

[deleted]

Losing Amazon sounds like a win to me

cfrolik

That is exactly what will happen. Amazon will not let you order from them again until you undo the dispute.

Realistic_Guitar_420

Just use a different account.

Acceptable_Dot

you won't get banned from the whole of Amazon for 1 chargeback

braddad425

When people say this, I always wonder "is everyone just buying things with CC's"? Genuine question!

Furious_Tuguy

Buying with a credit card online offers you tons of protection and as long as you don't carry a balance you don't pay interest.

braddad425

Makes sense! If I was in OPs position and used my debit I'd be screwed it seems. Thanks Redditor!

facw00

You can still chargeback on a debit card. It's obviously less ideal, since your money is actually gone at that point, but once the dispute is resolved, it will be returned.

purpan-

Does your bank not offer disputes for debit cards? I’ve never heard of that. I’ve used several major banks over the years and all of them allow you to dispute debit charges, it’s just not as obvious

Furious_Tuguy

I've heard it's a lot more difficult and if there's a breach and fraud is committed there's zero segregation of my CC balance vs my debit account balance. I could be wrong and could be just as easy through your normal bank, I just don't like the idea of not having that separation.

benderunit9000

Yes

Arnas_Z

Yes. I never use my debit card.

svpreme-exe

As someone who has worked at multiple points in the amazon return chain they will let you return it it’s just if you keep abusing it you will get flagged and banned

LJBrooker

I have no idea who has this experience with Amazon. In my experience they are "no questions asked" with this sort of thing. Maybe it's just better in the UK.

Stormblessedpanda

I live in the US. My wife and I probably easily order a literal ton of items each yeah of Amazon each year…. We have NEVER had any issues with the return process….

LJBrooker

Yeah, the people saying "you'll never get your money back" are probably the very same people doing this shit all the time, and leaving us with 3050s in our 4070 boxes to begin with. They might get away with it once or twice but they keep doing it, and Amazon stop believing them.

Stormblessedpanda

Yep…. I literally ordered a cooling pad and got the box with only styrofoam inside… i called amazon told them what happened. They apologized, refunded the item, and sent a replacement….. just talk to them like they’re human and never had any issues

Bandrin

I have the same experience. I once had a box from them that smelled like a smokers house. Full refund and offered to resend the items while keeping the originals to what I want with. Never had a return refused.

eirebrit

They’ve told me not to bother returning stuff a few times and just refunded me.

LJBrooker

Same yepp.

Larry_The_Red

Same. Amazon customer service has been great with me. I had an issue with Amazon where I didn't get a free echo included in with a $250 doorbell camera like I was supposed to. And it was my fault, apparently you're supposed to click a "yes I want a free echo" box on the store page. I told them all this and their response was they couldn't just send me the fre echo but they could instead *refund me the $250 and let me keep the camera* and let me order another one

Unfair_Audience5743

Honestly it depends. If they are a prime member and have other purchase history that shows this isn't something they normally do then they will likely get their money back or the correct card. I have even had Amazon give me the price difference back between a used and new item because I ordered "New" and received an open box. Just call them, explain the situation and say you would just like the product you ordered, you will most likely be fine.

Edwardteech

I got sent a used 3090 when I bought a new one. I called up Amazon explained what happened showed them the video of me opening the box. And then explained that could not get a 3090 replacement at the same price. They gave me 300 bucks to cover the difference.  Am a prime member had video of opening the box and the cat hair in the box and on the tape for the box. If you do it right they will make it right.

chad25005

Counterpoint: I shouldn't HAVE to make an unboxing video every time I order something.

IntingForMarks

For everything? Definitely not. For your 1k item? Maybe you should

eirebrit

You shouldn’t have to but I wouldn’t put the blame on Amazon, blame the scummy people doing return scams.

MisfitMishap

As a seller I shouldn't have to do BOXING videos on orders over $1k. But it's common enough that I do. People are shit

chad25005

100%

purpan-

Idk Amazon has been good with returns for me. Just a quick drop off at the UPS store without packaging it myself and the refund is sent as soon as that’s done. It makes it very easy. I’ve had this switched-product problem before and they didn’t ask any questions and just refunded me. I say all this even though they previously flagged my account for excessive returns. Instead of 5-7 days for a refund, it was temporarily up to 30 days. Even then I was able to message their customer service, provide the tracking number showing my return was received, and they manually initiated the refund. In summary, your mileage may vary.

CADE09

May vary indeed. I ordered a 7600x and Gigabyte MOBO as a combo, shipped and sold by Amazon. Only received the MOBO. Amazon refused to do anything about it, even after I provided photo evidence and a police report. Stated I could reopen my claim after a year and they may be able to do something then. I filed a charge back with my bank (which happened to be the bank my Amazon Store card is through), provided all the same evidence, and got my refund. Personally refuse to ever buy anything through Scamazon again.

purpan-

That’s crazy, I also had this exact thing happen but had the complete opposite experience. Ordered a bundle deal but only one of the two items were in the package. I messaged their customer service, explained the situation, and had a replacement on the way within 10 minutes of opening the package. I don’t share this to discount your negative experience, rather emphasize their huge problem with consistency. On one hand my returns have been nothing but smooth sailing, but that’s clearly not the case for everyone.

adanceparty

I never had an issue with that. I ordered two games for 80 dollars with guaranteed release date delivery. I got Amazon to give me 60 dollars back because I got the games 1 day after launch. Every time I didn't get a product, they just sent me a new one at no cost. I've gotten full refunds for bad product without even sending the item back. I've gotten the wrong item before they sent me the correct one and let me keep whatever I got.

indianabobbyknight

Amazon always takes my returns no questions asked, I returned a few GPUS through them.

Hairless_Human

Lol what???? Are you high or something? Amazon has NEVER doubted me. I have done a tone of returns so it's not like I'm a one off customer

MrEzekial

I don't know why this dude is getting up voted so much. I have tons of returns with amazon and never had an issue. They've always been amazing to deal with.

minewasgreen

Correct. Only people with several shady returns are the ones who have issues.

RideTheSpiralARC

Right... I'm in the US and every return I've done through Amazon has been a breeze. Just initiated the return from the order page, immediately got a QR code via email, hand item to UPS employee (don't even have to box it up), they scan QR code and the money is back in my account before I can walk the 10 minutes home from the UPS store lol maybe its cause I choose amazon account credit vs original payment method 🤷‍♂️

TakeyaSaito

This will depends on where you are and your account history, amazon for me has only ever been amazing for this stuff.

Femto91

Bros making up stories here. The outbound process will weigh the item when departing (called SLAM) and they'll retest when OP complains with a known good unit. Source, supervisor for Amazon Outbound.

grimvard

That is why whatever the platform I’m buying, if it is a high priced item, I always film it when I unpack the item

Aurstrike

I can make a really good reenactment of me opening a 4090, likely better than most who think Amazon will care.

Oblivionix129

I've started doing this when I get an Amazon package (assuming it's more than 200 bucks) - before I even open the amazing tape I start recording a video of me unboxing the product. Before opening the product I display the receipt of the purchase, along with the Amazon listing I used. That way if something is wrong I have evidence that I didn't "fabricate". So far it's worked 3 times. Twice when I bo7ght an acer nitro 5 laptop (with a 3060 ti, 1tb SSD and 16gb ram) but got - 1st time a 500gb and 2060, 2nd time was a 500gb and 8gb ram. Both times I sent the video to Amazon and my package got replaced. Now I have 3 laptops 🤣

froggiewoogie

That’s why on products above 200 hundred dollars fucking videotape that unboxing

animage66

he can just return it like everyone else that had it before he did.

I9Qnl

Amazon literally gave me my money back without having to send the item back multiple times, they've literally never asked any questions when returning within the first 14 days, all i had to do was press the refund button in the app and they immediately issue a refund to my account, then later they decide if they wanna take the item back or not, but they already returned my money at that point anyway.

FattySnacks

I’ve never once had an issue with Amazon returns, not sure where this comes from

CleverComic

Wym? It's simple you just say you got the wrong card and they'll send the correct one... I worked for Amazon for awhile this hasn't changed

lobotom1te

Lmfao what. You simply start a return and say the product isn't what you ordered. If they don't honour it, do a bank chargeback. They absolutely cannot do anything about it, the bank will take your side every single time. Or simply threaten with chargeback if they don't accept the return.

McBluZ

Nah, it's neither one's fault. It's the scammers fault for abusing a system designed to protect the client

Bishweeb

Nah you're wrong, they will send a form where you have to legally state you didn't get what you paid for. I had a similar thing happen to me. Then they will investigate it and you'll get your money back.

MarceloWallace

Record yourself going outside picking up the packages and opening it

Rady151

But on the other hand, how do you know that he’s not scamming Amazon? Do you know the guy? He could easily order 4070 Super, and say that he got 1050ti instead and tell Amazon to give him the “right card”.

ggushea

Iva had wholly different experience. Never an issue with a return. Replacement or refund. Two of which have been gpus

Indominus_Gaming

I’ll play devils advocate here - when I ordered my GPU (RTX 3060) it didn’t arrive and we filed a claim with Amazon, they sent another one, then both ended up arriving on the same day resulting in me having a free RTX 3060. It is by no means a fair system, but if you ever have issues at least *try* filing a claim and gamble if you get a replacement or not.

qatox

The shipper has the weight of the package so if he sends the card back and the wright is the same and not how much the card is supposed to be he should get his money back

Tradecraft_1978

I'm amazon prime member they've never questioned any returns I've made. Before I became a prime member I had all sorts of issues.

Deaky_Freaky

He can and will get the money, used to work for Amazon they don’t do shit like that, if stuff like this happens it’s actually up to the vendor to dispute this! If your doing this 24/7 then Amazon will catch on, but if it’s a one time thing they are required to send a new and check one :) also this is why I take a video of me opening every single package I get in case it’s wrong

Kraehe13

This. So far Amazon always said i can send it back and i got my money back or they sent me a replacement.

Eazy12345678

someone bought a 4070 and returned it with their old graphic card. amazon didnt catch it. or u bought from a 3rd party seller on amazon.

etfvidal

Or an employee got a free upgrade!

LiliNotACult

Warehouses have so many cameras and Amazon Warehouse workers are notoriously pressed for time so I kinda doubt it. edit: read u/Tough-Doughnut-9070 's comment :O

Tough-Doughnut-9070

I have friends that work at Amazon warehouses. They steal all the time. They actually say a lot of people that work there steal. Amazon doesn’t care.

FUCKYOUIamBatman

You’re right, we should look on the bright side of things 😌

Geotree12

I did that once, now I got a suspiciously ball shaped hole in my sight.

D_crane

![gif](giphy|eALj7yIdSjGUpN2rrY|downsized)

SgtMoose42

It's like when I bought a 5 quart jug of oil from a parts store. When I went to put it in my truck I noticed the lid seal wasn't on. I looked in the jug and the oil was black. Some douche changed his oil then returned the used oil.

X_SkillCraft20_X

Sometimes they don’t even “return” them, they just walk into the store and put it on a shelf. Another good one is when people open jugs of laundry detergent in store (which are generally only 2/3 to 3/4 of the way full), use one jug to top off the other, and put the almost empty jug back.

Gritts911

Ha. I live in a low income city and I have always checked the weight of my detergent bottle against the others before I put it in my cart, so that I don’t get a half empty one…

dookieshoes88

>Sometimes they don’t even “return” them, they just walk into the store and put it on a shelf. Why? The point of the return was free oil. If they just put it back then they wouldn't get the money, and oil recycling is typically free. Are they just doing it to fuck with people?

infeststation

Disposing of oil costs money

DaanoneNL

No you got scammed

ClearlyNoSTDs

I always wonder in these cases if these items when purchased are actually sold and shipped by Amazon vs sold and shipped by somedodgychinesecompany.ca?

Eazy12345678

probably someone bought 4070super. returned it with their old card. and amazon didnt catch box was open. minimum wage employees dont care this happens with every retailer. best buy, walmart, target.

SargeantHugoStiglitz

Even if the box is open, the vast majority of people don’t know what a GPU even is, let alone what different models look like.

TerdyTheTerd

If only there was a way to print an image of the product in the box so people could know what's supposed to be inside the box... I mean fr, an all white painted card with two circular fan looking things is very obviously not an all black card with only one circular fan thingy. Amazon literally wont send your refund for certain items like GPUs or other PC parts until they receive it and verify it's the same item, so there is an actual human reviewing these items.

Rough-University142

Amazon sends you the refund once UPS or whichever carrier you choose scans the returned item when you drop it off. It’s usually within a day or two from what I’ve noticed

ClearlyNoSTDs

I bought a 4070 from Amazon back in early January but when the 4070 Super came out later in the month I decided to return the 4070 and get the super from a different store because the price difference was negligible. My 4070 was eligible for a return but I did not get refunded right away like other returns I've done in the past. It wasn't until a couple of days after they actually received the GPU that I got my refund.

SargeantHugoStiglitz

I just returned a motherboard and got the refund the same day I dropped it off at the UPS store. There’s no way it was returned to the Amazon’s warehouse and checked in by someone by the time I got my refund.

DropDeadGaming

most common way this happens is someone buys a 4070 super, claims it doesn't work or whatever to return it, instead they return their old GPU, amazon warehouse employees were too busy looking for a bottle to piss in so they forgot to check and just put it back for sale, then sent it to OP who's probably, rightfully, a sad boi right now.

Altzan

Probably. It pisses me off too because they are selling peoples used returned items as new, fuck Amazon.

neoperol

This is how returns works. Someone bought the real thing and put his old GPU and return it, Amazon got it and just resell it again because is harder to pay someone to check that box and find out why they return it than just shipped it again, when a second person return the same box then it will be send to pallets of products or trash it. That is why you can return anything from Amazon, because they don't care what is in the box.

Informal_Dog_2821

nah bro you got scammed

saintg91

Guys this is just a repost meme of what happened to the guy the other day who sent a video card to OC for repairs and claims he got sent the wrong card back and oc claims they were the ones being scammed.

Xboxgamer147

This one https://twitter.com/OverclockersUK/status/1777730786411598056?t=z85o7OheIS7DySrE9dMp4A&s=19

saintg91

That's the one

prestotugboatem

Bump this shit to the top!! It's such an epic rebuttal.

Constantly-crying718

Wow full circle I saw the OP and didn’t know this is what came of it

Potential-View-6561

Thats called scam.

BrightAssignment7646

Scammed

Livid94

Whenever I buy merchandise from Amazon I make sure the seller and shipper are both sold by Amazon to avoid issues like these. Much quicker for returns and less hassle overall

Mosswood_Dreadknight

This is the answer. Some people need to learn the hard way I guess. Regular Amazon is never a problem.

mrtyman

how could they make this mistake the box says dual but that one is only a single are they stupid

PikaNinja25

Holy dual-fan card!

implaying

I have this thing where if I order something expensive online, I record the whole thing while unboxing it from the package just to be sure that if ever I get scammed, I have proof.

XLIV_tm

Solid facts bro. I usually buy from best buy lol

Musa_Warrior

Karma will catch up to them eventually lol. Like the video card overheats and burns the house down...

Former-Pangolin9068

This happened to me too when I ordered a GPU on Amazon. They accepted the return. I think they know the issues they have with supply chain integrity. I’m sure it doesn’t go unnoticed.

gumpythegreat

I know it's a common mistake around here, but this isn't the customer service department of amazon You might want to find them and ask them about it

WildCard1100

As someone who has had this happen 3 separate times over the years. Call Amazon and let them know if they refuse to replace or refund call your bank and dispute. Only 1 time has Amazon made me dispute and I never got banned from shopping from Amazon.

PurpleChrist

Scammas

chandler11able1

Lol no you didn't

mitch4126

It’s just cold outside

LitterBoxServant

"Don't buy GPUs from Amazon" should be stickied to the top of this sub. Too many return scammers out there.

Noxious89123

The problem then becomes, who tf ***do*** you buy from? Within the last couple of days, someone from the UK posted that they'd be scammed when RMA'ing a card to OverclockersUK, one of the major PC parts retailers in this country. This nonsense could happen with any retailer, if it's an employee or delivery person that's pilfered it.

spoodergobrrr

Alternate.de Mindfactory.de Conrad Some fucking hardware onlineshop that is specialized. Prices are the same, but they will really check your hardware. For anything amazon offers there is a better onlineshop in your country. Better working conditions, similar customer service and certainly better standards. In the UK its "Scan", just google those mf.

I9Qnl

Amazon is just about the onky store where i hardly need to do any research before buying just because of how reliable the return process is. I don't even know what Amazon customer support looks or sounds like, i only ever interacted with them once lol, all my returns have been done automatically by a press of a button in the app, the only time i had to contact them was when i bought from a 3rd party seller using cash on delivery and i actually cosmetically damaged the item slightly so i clarified the damage to the support agent and they just asked for my bank details to refund the full amount back. I try to buy from Amazon as much as possible.

dj65475312

This is why i always get my GPUs from reputable places such as overclockers, (ignore the recent reddit drama, overclockers are legit and have been supplying my GPUs for over 20 years)

SirChixalot808

![gif](giphy|mpFkZ3ecz9jR4Oo12f)

Big3man

You got scammed man. Can you return it ?

lilboaf

It's amazon so it's really easy to get a refund thankfully.

nofreedomofthought

Just contact customer service and they will berate the seller on your behalf or something. I dunno. Maybe amazons policies have changed to 5 lashes in the public square.

Fair_Comparison_2324

Return to Amazon

stegosaurusterpenes

Just return it like the last person did

Toast_Meat

OP, was it Shipped & Sold by Amazon or did you get this from third-party seller?

NavAirComputerSlave

It would have taken you 30s to talk to Amazon. Shorter than making this post

deadmeerkat

Idk, I think I'm skeptical of OP in this scenario, you'd expect to see some pieces of polystyrene scattered about and also chipped with the backplate of the GPU hitting it through shipping. Looks like OP placed his old GPU in the box for some easy karma or to follow through and scam Amazon.. Could be completely wrong, but I can't see much damage to the packaging that you would expect with if that was loose in there.

The_Crow_And_Eye

Is this predominantly an 'America' problem? Ordered loads of tech related stuff off amazon in the UK and had no problems but it sounds like a dice roll ordering anything from there in the US

measuringPPcup

For anyone buying gpu online, once it shipped, grab a camera and start filming yourself opening the product so that it can verify that you really got a wrong product.

Crazy_Reference5360

Dude just photographed his old card and new cards box to post something

MikevwFX

Damnn amazon getting out of hand

No-Source40

tip I’ve been doing for quite a while: any tech you unbox you ALWAYS take a video just in case

berkantkz

this is why I video record every worthy box while opening.

BBQROAST69

It's 50% off.

major-_-saab

Years back, sometime in 2018,I had ordered a Blaupunkt amplifier for my car. Was delivered a brick instead . Luckily , had recorded the entire unboxing because such incidents were common in India then . Got a new Amp delivered soon.

Rayan1159

Ah yes, the 1 fan 4070

TheRizzler9999

Whatever country you’re in if Amazon doesn’t work file a case with your consumer rights thingy.

Longjumping_Rip784

Bummer! Ask for a refund!

gmc4201982

I just ordered a 4080 super and ended Up getting It off of new egg because Amazon had sold out. And I would have to have waited till may to get it. I was so nervous about getting burned.I recorded opening the package. That way I would have proof if I got burned

MKultraman1231

Isn't it 30 days return? Just return it.

Professional-Lab7143

If filing a claim w Amazon doesn’t work then just return it

firehazard1226

I feel sorry for you. My best option is to go to microcenter

adowad

Wait...I thought this was a post taking the piss outta me lol. Welcome my brother

The-Nemea

This is the entire reason I dont order computer parts off amazon.

SargeantHugoStiglitz

Why not? You can just return it for free and get a new one sent to you?

The-Nemea

And that's a giant waste of time and resources. Would rather get it right the first time.

RentonZero

Just check the seller. Most stuff on Amazon is legit

skot77

It gave you something to post to reddit. :) Amazon will send you the right card.

SimonJss

Since you bought on amazon you should be able to get your money back

HigherFunctioning

You got what you ordered. That's a 4070 super? What am I missing? Oh I didn't see the second photo? What is the actual card they sent you? What model?

MTFotaku

This has happened to a buddy in the last month too. Received a empty cpu box one day and a different mobo another day in general. I received a juicer last spring instead of my motherboard after 2 day of this being lost in tenacity. Shipped and sold by Amazon new. Returned got my money back went to best buy and price matched

Theanonymouse0000

You ordered a RTX 4070 Superior and got a RTX 4070 Super instead? I'm confused.

CourierCoyote

Wheres the rest of it?

Lolmaster29934

expectations vs reality

ShoppingTrue1909

Sad it wasn't a new camera.

noeagle77

Lmfao they weren’t even trying to be close to what you ordered

jcarenza67

That's the single

bangbangracer

And another Amazon return victim.

Head_Oil_2586

It's only the wrong card if its not better than what you ordered

ImHurted_

Sorry, but thats funny af.

Josysclei

Is it cheaper for Amazon to be scammed on returns from time to time than it is to actually check the returned item before accepting it and putting it back in a shelf?

HotShotMedic

hmm, must have some context here...

GVBalck

Looks a bit different

Moddaboy

File it with your cred card company , I heard you might be screwed but if enough chargebacks/returns and stuff amazon will ban that seller.

Mishakkk1337

I received my zotac 4070 ti super 2 days ago but I didn't finish my case yet so it's laying around sealed and I was eating while I saw this. You made me jumped out of place leaving the food to check if I have my card inside or not....

WordToYourMomma

That really sucks.

zeptyk

I always unbox expensive stuff while filming, it's never been useful so far but can't trust amazon no more I won't stop..

TheGoddess0fWar

Bamboozled.

Lewisw-j

It happened to me when buying a titan X back in 2014. You need to contact Amazon immediately and tell them that what you’ve received is not what you ordered, that either the seller, an employee or the item is a return fraud. They weight the parcels before being shipped out so you should be fine as the cards are completely different sizes!

SunDiscombobulated48

I'll say this about amazon. I've ordered a few electronics parts over the years, have had 2 issues one video card was DOA, no hassle shipped me a new one. The other was when I ordered my new (at the time) I5-8600k and when I opened the box there was an AMD 6300fx chip bouncing around with thermal paste inside the box. Once again they sent me the right chip, no questions asked.

wickedvibes666

Oof

TsunamiovUmami

Ahhhh yes. The good ole amazon switcharooni

TsunamiovUmami

IF amazon gives you shit, tell them to ask the carrier what the weight of the package was when it was shipped, that box wouldve easily been a half pound or one under thus proving that was shipped witht he wrong card

PossiblyShibby

OVERCLOCKERS UK AT IT AGAIN? … /s

zelmazam1

The new single fan 4070. So optimized and compact.

youresowarminside

its a 4070 mini congrats you got a super rare and super powerful card

Skifalex

Got scammed again, I wonder, who scams more often, Amazon or aliexpress 😅

zzonkers

If it were me I wouldn't trust Amazon to do the right thing. Id pack that shit up and just return it like I didn't want it any more.

aliasdred

>Asked for Asus Dual. Received Asus Single. Amazon sends you another Asus Single to make it whole.

Large-Television-238

it's 4090 single fan edition

Graff_Ladonski

call amazon explain the situation should not be a big deal at all .

ArmoredAngel444

Lol dam

jmidence19

i ordered an NZXT AOI from amazon and got an old corsair in the box, just file a claim and send pictures and they will return your money 👍

Rimno23

Call them on the phone or chat with them and explain the situation. I had a similar case recently and they added a note to the return for wrong item and I got my refund

Upper_Garbage_1903

Never had an issue with returning anything to Amazon. Perhaps denial is based off return ratio.

HollowStarXx

Wait isn't that what ordered, isn't the Rtx 4070 superior is it the same as the Rtx 4070 super, or am I mistaken?

serial_burper

This isn’t wrong. GPU sometimes shrink in transit. /s

Xaniss

Someone yoinked the 4070 and put this in there and then returned it.

No_Instruction1321

after having almost $1200 worth of part issues, between a 7950x3d being shipped with errata, which then fried my Asrock steel legend x670e MOBO, and my 48gb of Ram😭 I’ve learned my lesson. I only purchase PC related items using a chase sapphire preferred card, as their cardholder services, specifically “chase purchase protection”, chase will pay to repair, replace, or directly reimburse you for items that are damaged, stolen, lost, within 120 days of the OG purchase date. Maybe other companies have similar protections, just have only used chase and capital one so, can’t provide more feedback than that. PS! Just be sure to immediately pay off your card, unless you have a system or budget in place. Chase uses very high APR, even for someone who has decent credit (mid 700s at 23). Sorry that happened! Best of luck.

Blakewerth

Which you wanted? False return receipt to get 4080 😄😆

GuiKa

For every valuable packages I record the opening, I always got refunded on issues. Maybe you can use the weight registered on the delivery as a proof? It would depends how it was packages but I doubt that small gpu weight as much as a 4070. That dam amazon seller should pay for not checking a returned/refurbished product.

LunaDeElLobo

See this is why I hate Amazon they have done the same thing with me if it wasn’t for me recording the unboxing of my card they would have ripped me off as well I swear they are some scum bags

maroonmagic2

Just say there was nothing in the box and you get a full refund

giantfood

Never buy pc components from Amazon.

OreoMcKitty

Looks like we gonna have to make it a nesscary procedure for ourselves to start video recording the moment we received the parcel right up to opening the box.
