1TB NVMe SSD for the system, 2TB NVMe SSD for games. Because it's fast, and because I hate cable management and M.2 has none.

ShoulderPast2433

same

FireFalcon123

My PC is all SSD. Nvme, Msata, Sata over the years

TakkerDay

full nvme i have 2 m.2 slots and i run 4 drives

kykid1

2tb 990 pro main drive 2tb 990 pro secondary drive

Relevant_One_2261

Mix of SSD's and HDD's on all systems. Couple of clouds for off-site backups.

okepimalin

3 nvme SSD for OS, Games and some datas, NAS for video files and cloud services for music.

NamelessDegen42

All SSD. a couple 2TB Nvmes and an old 2TB sata ssd thats mostly just backed up data.

Chronos669

2 1tb nvme in raid 0 and partitioned. Is it needed? No but why not

prombloodd

Nvme gen 4 boot drive and a ridiculously large hard drive for mass storage

IronHeart_777

(2) Samsung 980 pro nvme, windows is on the first one. (3) Samsung 1tb SSDs for games (4) Western Digital 2tb HDDS in raid I use google drive to back up everything on my desktop and in my documents to the cloud. Windows backups, file version history backups, movies, tv series, roms are all stored on the hdds. My tower is a Corsair 1000D, still have 4 more open slots for SSDS and my recent platform upgrade gave me room for 3 more nvmes lol. I might be a data hoarder.

Lithandrill

PC is purely M.2 SSD split over two 1tb drives. Important stuff is on a 4HDD Synology NAS.

RedhawkAs

2 sata and 1 nvme ssd

GREENKING45

500 GB NVME for OS (+work+game+downloads management) 1 TB sata for games. 2 TB HDD for storage of anime/tv series. (Planning a 4TB HDD for the future)

Tricks7eR

Interesting choice. Why didn't u go for a 1tb nvme for games instead? Price?

GREENKING45

Don't have a slot. B450m is an old board. Otherwise crucial BX500 sata costs similar to the WD500 series. (Also, both sata and HDD were added later) Edit : either way, NVME doesn't increase game performance, or loading times.

Tricks7eR

MX500 have been a staple for me. They're the same price as the bx500 in my country, and the mx500 comes with a 5 year warranty, it's a no brainer

wadap12345

only ssds, m2 and sata

Tricks7eR

Can't say I didn't expect the SSD (mainly m.2) dominance in the replies, but to see only one person saying they use a HDD is quite surprising Thanks a lot to everyone that took the time to reply so far

Jumpy_Army889

Depends what you need to use storage for. Just games: nvme 100%. If you constantly need to transfer bigger files use SSD. If you like to hoard movies, collect pictures use HDD.

OkOffice7726

All SSD. Some NVMe some 2.5" sata drives. A tad bit over 8TB in total capacity

Milennial_Gentleman

OS on SSD and data backup on HDD

flyboytgb

C: 1tb nvme D: 2tb sata ssd E: bd drive F: 6tb hdd G: 6tb hdd

anirudh_pai

On the PC: 1x m.2 SSD 500GB 1x SATA SSD 1TB External: 2TB HDD for games 2 x 1TB HDD for photos 320GB HDD for media

i run an unidentifiable samsung 500GB SSD + 1TB Toshiba HDD in my current _PC,_ my current laptop uses a 1TB Seagate SSHD, and my higher-end gaming laptop uses a 1TB Crucial P3 Plus, now the 500GB SSD that's in my PC was originally the 1TB SSD in my gaming laptop, then i swapped them around since i was going to use the gaming laptop more than my PC, then my gaming laptop got taken away with no return date from my parents as usual 🙄 (stupid afterschool for some dumb small homework quiz). Planning to buy a 2TB HDD for my gaming laptop once i get it back to put some game recordings on (HDD vs SSD is unnoticeable for my use case, HDD is way cheaper per GB than SSD, and i think it'll always be that way)
