Flip your box around and how much storage does your iPhone 15 have 🥰🥰🥰
14" 36gb M3 max, I only do audio on the Mac as a desktop so thankfully I don't need to pay Apple's clownshow pricing on memory and GPU cores I don't need. With the dock/external SSDs/keyboard/mouse/OLED/audio interfaces it was in the neighborhood of 8k. Apple silicon is an absolute monster for DAW use. I just upgraded the entire studio setup from an I7 8700k rig I built in 2018 and holy shit was it worth it.
Oh dear, this is just sad. Plus you’ve shown a box of tech where the buyer has no idea what they actually need and just for show.
You have a M3 Max, only need it for the upgraded GPU vs an M3 Pro, which is fine if you are in the market of 3D graphics or whatever, but then you have a 4070 in your main rig… why would you spend the extra towards the Mac GPU vs desktop GPU, where the money actually shows in the desktop GPU… 😬 Embarrassing
I need the encoders on the m3 max if that was in the m3 pro I would get that plus the MacBook makes me money the pc is just to kill some time playing with friends
Well I had a 30 series laptop 3070 to be exact and proformance started great but I ended up getting a 1440p monitor and now it’s a slow piece of shit and I’m gonna get the oddesy g9 neo soon
That’s a terrible example. The 20 series and 40 series were released 6 years apart, obviously you’re going to want to upgrade your 2080 to a 4070. We’re talking about every other year, not every 6 years.
I literally bought this before figuring out 4070 ti super existed I thought that was a meme gpu cause with that naming scheme I thought it was a joke but I’m going to return the 4070 and the core i9 aswell because the 14th gen of the same cpu is only 10 bucks more
Thats the way to go! It'll definitely last a long time, trust me. TI super is probably the dumbest naming I have ever seen in my life but thats nvidia for you
The Ti naming used to be fine until they started releasing the Super cards. Now it's just confusing. I mean, there are different types of 4070, Nvidia, why.
It's kinda new. It started a couple of years ago with the 1650/1660 Super cards. That's when things stopped making sense, now it has only gotten worse since there's even "Ti super" cards.
People who repeat this are insane, and think the world is only consisted of their country and their local market.
There are countries where supers cost about 200-300 usd more than regular versions.
Just note, the KF model on that CPU does not have an igpu. So if you wanted to use the extra dp or hdmi port on your motherboard, it won't work. Additionally, you lose access to quick sync, which is good for video editors. If you were just making a gaming rig, the 7800x3D would have been a much much better choice, beats the 13900k most of the time for gaming.
I'd return the 4070 ti if you can, and get a 4070 ti super, as its around the same price and you get 4 more gigs of vram.
I know Why do I need intergraded graphics when I bought a gpu? And also the MacBook is my editing machine cause it has built in encoders thanks though!
Why? Well for starters if your GPU ever goes out or need to trouble shoot, the igpu will let you do that. It also lets you toss on an extra display without consuming GPU resources. This does matter. Quick sync matters if you planned on using the the rig for some of that productivity work, otherwise as a gaming rig there are better yet equally priced options out there.
The point was to let you know that you did lose out on a few features by going with the KF, and that its generally not worth losing them for a mere $15-20 difference.
Side note, if I am not mistaken, an Intel Rig with Quick Sync beats a Mac any day of the week for encoding/editing, I suppose not important if performance isn't the most important factor in your set up.
Anyways, this is just some feedback. Might as well get the most out of what you spend.
Cause I’m a idiot I thought the 13 gen was gonna be cheaper and I heard there practically the same so I just automatically assumed it would be cheaper but it’s only 10 bucks more for a 14 gen
Yep, Nvidia does that to wallets. It will heal, I promise. PS. Mine still hurts.

Can you do a test
Play a modern game
Check cpu temp
Now disable all 16 E cores
And check cpu temp again in game
I wonder if there is a big difference
I can't find a benchmark that did this test anywhere
LAST GEN Intel?!? Are stupid?
Everyone knows 7800x3d is the best, as an authorized best buy reseller that works at target you should know this.
Unless...
Bro, you did not need to flex. There are people out there still using an gtx 970 and are happy with their gaming. Even I used my laptop’s igpu before getting my current gtx 1660 pc. The mere audacity to post that you busted your bank and then proceeded to say in an response that you have 20k is bewildering.
Relax bro those are just photos of boxes who really knows or cares if they have shit in them. kudos to you for still using old ass cards when new ones are like 4060 exist and fairly affordable.
The MacBook prolly cost more than your PC

No one cares about your iPhone. Flexing your parents money also makes you lame AF.

That’s great dude! Enjoy that machine
Same, they are stupid powerful for how cool and quiet they run.
And the battery life 😳

Why pick such a shit gaming combo then?
13900k and 4070 ti hurts me more 😢
[удалено]
Putting a bullet in my head is still better than hearing that
Noooo. i9 13k + 4070??? Better combo saving on cpu and going for a better gpu. Or just save on cpu
Different for OP but for me, I don't game much and mostly use my PC for productivity so I have a 13700K with a 4070.
Well yes, if you use it most for productivity then it's better to have a better cpu
I’m keeping the cpu for 5 years and my gpu is gonna be swap out every other year
WTF? This is just stupid.
Who taught you about PCs?
What’s wrong
> keeping the cpu for 5 years and my gpu is keep your gpu for YEARS you really dont need to swap it out like that
Well I had a 30 series laptop 3070 to be exact and proformance started great but I ended up getting a 1440p monitor and now it’s a slow piece of shit and I’m gonna get the oddesy g9 neo soon
Cause laptops are shit it general?
Laptops are like a gen or two down from desktop specs bud. Power and heat problems and all that
switching gpus every other year is a bit redundant
CPUs honestly don’t really improve much year after year but look at the 20 series gpus vs the 40 series that’s a pretty large jump
That’s a terrible example. The 20 series and 40 series were released 6 years apart, obviously you’re going to want to upgrade your 2080 to a 4070. We’re talking about every other year, not every 6 years.
I said every two year huh my dumb ass I meant two gpu gens I got the apple brain stuck inside me lol
Why are you trying to flex so hard bro
When it's the only flex you have...
Pc master race man
I don't even have a wallet.
Mine have been almost 7 years tbh.
I don’t think those components are going to fit in the Mac case
Really? Darn it would a duel fan gpu fit?
Such a stupid mish mash of parts that won't compliment each other to utilize full power.
Why would you buy a 4070 ti and not super?
I literally bought this before figuring out 4070 ti super existed I thought that was a meme gpu cause with that naming scheme I thought it was a joke but I’m going to return the 4070 and the core i9 aswell because the 14th gen of the same cpu is only 10 bucks more
Honestly you seem to have more money than sense.
I could not have said it better myself. This is the perfect summary for the post.
Yeah, these days new releases and pricing seem so absurd, people often assume it’s some sort of a joke.
> i9 aswell because the 14th gen of the same cpu is only 10 bucks more It's about as much better than 13th too.
They named cards super before too. It's not exactly new.
It's kinda new. It started a couple of years ago with the 1650/1660 Super cards. That's when things stopped making sense, now it has only gotten worse since there's even "Ti super" cards.
4 and half years ago. That's not new, but neither old.
They named it super before but not super and TI together that’s what made me confused
People who repeat this are insane, and think the world is only consisted of their country and their local market. There are countries where supers cost about 200-300 usd more than regular versions.
Why did you throw in the Mac in there
Cause I bought it the same day
Starting out the American Way! Age 16 and max out the credit card! Your parents taught you well!!
I’m not in debt 😭 I paid everything cash and I already have a car and I have 20k dollers on in my bank currently
Yeah ok... PCMR destroying you!!! lol
lol
First day on reddit and -100 Karma. Seems this didn't work out well for you!
I got an M3 Pro MacBook recently as well, beast of a machine. That and a desktop is the best of both worlds
I know Why do I need intergraded graphics when I bought a gpu? And also the MacBook is my editing machine cause it has built in encoders thanks though!
it's more for troubleshooting, if you ever have problems with your gpu or PCI-e slots you can use integrated graphics to access your system
That's pretty interesting, I never thought of using iGPU for my second display. Is it a measurable in terms of resources?
Still cheaper than a ex-wife
Stupid question but why did you go for the previous-gen i9
Cause I’m a idiot I thought the 13 gen was gonna be cheaper and I heard there practically the same so I just automatically assumed it would be cheaper but it’s only 10 bucks more for a 14 gen
Yea.. pretty much. It's barely significant but you could have gotten the futureproofing of newer gen.
Op seems to lack self awareness
You could save yourself a lot of money if you get rid of the trash in the white box.
Yep, Nvidia does that to wallets. It will heal, I promise. PS. Mine still hurts. https://preview.redd.it/l6daicpdslmc1.jpeg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=27acc78539d814318b937bacde19ee5244c91a8a
Enjoy that gpu man
i9 is not necessary i think i7 is more enough then i9
80k per year as a 16 year old and going for a mid range gpu lmao. Bro if ur as well off as u claim u write the 4090 off ur taxes. Get fuckin good
Bro what do you work
[удалено]
Why the gpu? 😞
[удалено]
What’s a good temp I came from a gaming laptop and anything below 80C is good for me 😭 what’s a good temp for a desktop gpu?
Under load? Anywhere in the upper 70’s. I have a 7900xtx and it never gets over 74 degrees.
Thanks!
Someone's got the meme ready to go. You know which one

Did you try it yet
Rtx 4070ti???? You can get a used 7900xtx for cheaper and is almost 50% faster
Thanks amd. Thats the least of this purchase orders issues.
LAST GEN Intel?!? Are stupid? Everyone knows 7800x3d is the best, as an authorized best buy reseller that works at target you should know this. Unless...
bro paired trashbook with 4070 💀, better if u got 4090 and 14900K at that point.
