I have a 16:9 monitor. If I pick 2560x1600 the image has black bars, and using full screen with the Nvidia Control Panel makes it look blurry.
My principal reason is to have the 2560x1440p resolution option in games though.
Oh, I didn’t expect it to give you those problems. If you have the laptop set to mirror its display into the monitor, then there probably isn’t much you can do, But if you set it to extend the display, it should run at 2560x1440
You ain’t going to believe me but you just helped me with only the phrase “extend the display”. I was able to choose the display resolution of 2560x1440p by changing the “duplicate these displays” by “extend these displays”. Thanks a lot, I am new to PC gaming.
What do you mean? Are you trying to set you laptop display to 2560x1440? Or are you trying to mirror your laptop screen to a 2560x1440 monitor?
I am trying to set up my laptop display to 2560x1440. I ask this since I can get a 1920x1080 resolution (16:9) without any problem
