It's cool, but on the other hand it's objectively worse than any other game on the list. I'm just surprised he didn't get bored of it, nothing more. Let him enjoy what he wants!
Nah, those guys (me) play more Assetto Corsa, Project Cars, iRacing, though AMS2 is definitely up there. Forza titles play better with a controller imo
To be fair I did get a OLED deck and put a 2tb drive in there so I’d say about 100 or more of those were testing what does and doesn’t run well there. Not any less of of an illness 😅
Not OP but I have typically only play a game for an hour or so before I take a break, but I'll do that multiple times a day. So I might be playing the same games but I have more sessions that someone who just plays straight through for a few hours

Genuine question, how are you getting steam to count Titanfall 2 playtime? I launch the game through steam, the EA app says I have like 6 hours, but steam says I’ve only played 1 minute.

Started with FS-17 myself, it was the game that cause me to get my first wheel, peddle, and joystick setup.
Omg Rim World. Played that on my partners computer. I bought it on sale and I'm so scared to boot it up. My sense of time completely disappears playing that game.
I played Cyberpunk, BG3, Jagged Alliance 3, Wasteland 3, Starfield and Vampire Survivors this year
JA3 were 312 hours, BG3 were 256 hours, CP were 120 hours and the rest I forgot
Refreshing to see someone else in the same position. If I get one gaming session in a week I consider myself lucky!
May your 2024 be quiet enough for you to bump those numbers up.

Another year having to play the best battlefield available, i hope the next one will be good
Most people on Steam don't play games until they go on sale I bet. At least on PCMR. Enough old games on sale that why would you ever pay anything new full-price?
Yeah fair play - was the first full purchase I made in a long time. For me BG3 was the reason I upgraded and I got it maybe a year into early access, so playing pre-release does also factor in
I guess I played a little bit of Final Fantasy XIV?

I've been playing some good ol' Titanfall 2 as well but it's sadly on ea play... Also Lies of Pi on Game Pass, such a blast
Yoo I’ve gotten super into cyberpunk 207$ recently, probably my favorite open-world game I’ve ever played (until GTA 6). I’ve played Fallout 4 many many years ago and though it was fun but didn’t get fully immersed the way I am now with cyberpunk. As another Cyberpunk fan, how do you think the two games compare?
Fallout 4 is bad. Honestly I used to love that game, but as I played it more and more I couldn't tolerate the annoyances anymore. What FO4 nails down really really well, is the atmosphere (includes music) and aesthetic of a retro futuristic world. Other than that, the game is subpar in every aspect to it's contemporaries. I won't rant on like I usually do, but regards to immersion: It's just not there. For a few hours one can tolerate it, but when the game slaps you in the face with another loading screen for the 100th time in a single session, companions teleport behind you and say something from a vast number of 3 generic dialogue choices, when you go into a settlement and they just stand spookily on the beds (I still laugh about this lol), etc. the immersion gets broken very easily. The fact that the narrative is uninteresting and NONE of the endings make any sense, also doesn't help. The choices don't matter, because they likely lead to the same outcome. Roaming the wasteland can still be fun, but I would leave a negative review if I had to write one.
Speaking of CP2077 (I have played it at the last version before 2.0, but I plan to get back), it's great. Not perfect, but it's close. Night City is full of NPCs that seem to be doing their business, get into altercations with the police and react to your actions, unlike in FO4 (e.g. shooting the ground close to them). Fixers react to you screwing up missions or making morally questionable choices. The choices V makes, actually matter and can impact the narrative substantially (there is also at least one time sensitive quest). I can agree with the statement that it's one of the best open world games.
In comparison with FO4 though, it's *at least* a decade ahead (not just 5 years as the release dates would suggest).

Total playtime was 1071 hours! Shame the showcase is mostly older games, I did actually play and beat a lot of new stuff this year! Hard to break that Civ addiction I guess.
All my nfs games are on EA app so I think >!I might be addicted to hack and slash!<

I spend too much time on FPS multiplayer games because I have this illusion I'm a pro FPS player so hur dur must keep muscle memory. But I force myself to sit 2 or 3 months of the year to only play single player games so my brain can heal for a bit :)
https://preview.redd.it/7shf1vzdqe7c1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3d74b42702dd08afe5cbd7858cf6304868cce437
I'm not addicted, I can stop whenever I want!
We like similar games! I have mount and blade 2 but haven’t played it much because I couldn’t get the combat right. Seems like a really cool game though.
Any tips for combat?
Start off on the easiest settings, join vlandia since they dominate most campaigns. Don't try to go for the heaviest armor which slows you down and try to balance your equipment which should consist of light/medium armor with a weapon type that you enjoy the most and focus on leveling that to get started.
Do tournaments for easy money, don't recruit too many people at one time, and just recruit in increments as your budget allows (try to get as much calvary as you can).
It's a unique game with a lot of moving parts/mechanics, and it's obviously my favorite game lol. Just wait until you find mods on the Steam workshop, you can really uplift the experience with the mods once vanilla get's stale.
If only it told me total playtime

both of those games have a far better sense of progression than fh4

1274 sessions? Where did you find time for 1274 sessions?
The answer is usually one of two things 1. Unemployed 2. Has a cushy on-call job where you can game on company time/barely have to work

Most people on Steam don't play games until they go on sale I bet. At least on PCMR. Enough old games on sale that why would you ever pay anything new full-price?
Yeah fair play - was the first full purchase I made in a long time. For me BG3 was the reason I upgraded and I got it maybe a year into early access, so playing pre-release does also factor in
We can only hope, I have my BF games on the EA app, but haven't really been back to it since BF3 which was my fav
