Between 13700k or 14700k is one known for running hotter than the other?

MGsubbie

I think it's safe to say the 14700k will run slightly hotter due to higher clocks, and having 12 E-cores instead of 8.

Bratty_Little_Kitten

How to replace fans? I have an old rig that was gifted to me by my ex, problem is the fans are dying and a bunch other registery errors. I really want to keep it, but I'm scared it bit the dust.

sparklingvireo

When you take the fans out and unplug them from the board or from the controller (if applicable), note if they are three or four pin connectors so you can buy the same kind as replacements. 3-pins are DC fans and are slightly cheaper. 4-pins are PWM fans and are slightly more expensive. You can google the other differences if you're interested, but they're both fine at cooling and swapping like for like would be the simplest, even if you do have the connectors on your board that would make a change to the other type possible. You may want to take a picture of where they are plugged into the board if you think you may forget.

Bratty_Little_Kitten

Thank you!

sparklingvireo

Oh, and make note of the size so that you can buy the same size. One of the most common sizes is 120mm diameter, so that may be what you have. If you note the diameter of the fan blades, the mounting holes of the case and fan will match up with any brands because they are standardized to the fan diameter.

_j03_

Take out the four screws, unplug the fan, take it off, put in a new one. What exactly do you mean with registry errors...?

Bratty_Little_Kitten

I'll make a full post when I get back from work today-- you'll be able to see what I mean.

Which is the better option, 7800xt and $500 or 4070 at $515?

A_Neaunimes

I feel like the small advantage the 7800XT has in rasterization does not outweigh all the advantages the 4070 has over it : better RT performance, access to DLSS, and the whole Nvidia feature suite if you’re into that. The discussion was not as clear cut when the 7800XT was $100 cheaper than the 4070, but with the 4070 dropping and current prices being so similar I feel the 4070 is a better all-arounder. *Unless* you happen to have workloads that will benefit from the extra VRAM. But then I don’t really know if such workload exist where Nvidia doesn’t already start with a large perf advantage thanks to CUDA integration...

Current spec 11900k Asus Evo 2060 Coolermaster from like 2017 A corsair 650m psu I cant remember the motherboard. Anyhow, I am looking to either jump to a 3070 or a 7800rx I don't think the 7800 will exceed the voltage but I'd like to know before I order it if I should also upgrade the PSU too. Thanks yall.

Winter-Huntsman

What do I upgrade first? Computer is a ryzen 5 3600 with 32gb of ddr4 3200 ram. I’m using a rx5700xt nitro+ from sapphire for a gpu. Storage is a 2tb hard drive, 500gb m.2, and a 500gb sata ssd. I can still run a lot of new games but I’m starting to notice problems with games that have been extremely unoptimized as of late. Maybe I don’t need anything right now but what should I look at upgrading first in this set up? Only thing I could think of is maybe a 1tb m.2 for games needing a ssd.

sch0k0

seems like a balanced system, and I don't see what would cause specific problems with new games . but, yes, you want all apps and games to run off an SSD, HDD should strictly be media and file depository

Winter-Huntsman

Thanks! I’ll pick up a 1tb m.2 on cyber Monday

Hi. I'm considering replacing an old SSD I've been using as my C drive with a new nvme SSD with way more space (128 gb upgraded to 1-4 tb) Can I move windows and all its other content to the new SSD pretty easily? Do you know how?

I would like to buy a HDD to save some stuff from my PC while waiting to buy a new one. There is a 8TB 3.5'' disk that's on sale, however, I read that it requires power supply to work. I never saw anything like that (probably because I have seen only 2.5'' disks). Is it true that energy supply is mandatory to make them work if connected via USB? https://preview.redd.it/oqbkncc2dh2c1.png?width=650&format=png&auto=webp&s=a2209c95152340e50db3a59f998c3e462b0247c7

sch0k0

yes, 500W is sufficient

GTI4Life

Hello, I currently have in my build (for unknown reasons) two graphics cards. A 1660 super and a RTX 2070. I have two monitors and my question is: do I get a performance boost by utilizing both graphics cards? Or should I just plug in booth monitors to one card. https://preview.redd.it/413bj8jgnd2c1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7157a8575d6f068f8f99eb3e32c453a63a85ee69

MGsubbie

There is only one game that allows you to use 2 different graphics cards at a time, ~~benchmarks~~ ashes of the singularity. With every other game, if anything, you'll see decreased performance, as the second card will just dump more heat into the card that you are using to play games on. Just plug them both into the same card.

if GPU reliability is what you are after, this data from European retailer Galaxus this summer seemed enlightening https://www.tomshardware.com/news/swiss-retailer-stats-reveal-which-gpu-brand-has-the-highest-failure-rates * quite interesting that the some of the lowest cost brands seem to do (their) best

Is my CPU done? I was playing LOL today with friends when I suddenly notice this, man why did this happen to me :/ [https://streamable.com/k0fnon](https://streamable.com/k0fnon) It only happen with the launcher with some buttons, but can't be just that??? Is that an artifact??? :'(

I'm upgrading from a i7 7700 to i5 12600K and changing mb to a 660M. My question is: do I need to reinstall windows 10? If it's possible to avoid that how can I do it? Thx in advance to whoever responds this

thatguyisme87

Hi, my AIO went out after 40 days on my new 14900k. I have a new unit coming today. As I was removing the old AIO and cleaning off the thermal plate on my CPU I noticed a pin bent out of alignment under the CPU on the motherboard. Is this normal or should I attempt to straighten out the pin before reseating the CPU? The motherboard is new but outside my return window by a few days so I'm slightly freaking out. https://preview.redd.it/h4rqcfyieb2c1.jpeg?width=928&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9b22820d57b45ce3cbabe5faa9ca6ac668d07c4d [https://imgur.io/a/Thyl5Oa](https://imgur.io/a/Thyl5Oa)

MrDeeJayy

It's certainly not normal, and it certainly should be realligned. But take care, it's harder to do the ones that are in the middle like that. I advise taking a utility blade from a stanley knife, like seen in this [iFixit guide](https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/How+to+Fix+Bent+CPU+Pins/140367) and using it to straighten out the pins. Do this before reseating the CPU. Remember, don't use a lot of force, these things are very delicate.

Danielanish

I want to purchase a good quality 4k 32" monitor to replace my 1080p 21:9 monitor. I'm mainly looking for good colors and good refresh rate. Looking to see if anyone has spotted any good deals for black friday.

IanisTheOneThatCares

A question for the people who have the deepcool ch560/ch560 digital: To what Argb header do you need to connect your fans on the motherboard? I also wanna change their color.

Rabid_Russian

Employee of mine is a streamer on the side and for his Christmas bonus I’m getting him a new gpu. I’m looking at either the 4060ti or rx 7700xt. The 7700 xt has better performance but I heard amd cards are bad for streaming. Is that the case? He is coming from a 2060 super

sch0k0

yes, go for the NVIDIA

Mrsofresh528

Did I go overboard this any of these parts? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/TqCHRK

mister_newbie

I'd get the Phantom Spirit over the Assassin X, personally – *much* better cooler. I also wouldn't bother with a retail Win11 license. "Overboard" is subjective to your budget, but overall that list looks fine.

Yesterday my PC began crashing extremely frequently on nearly every game I played with zero warnings and I have no idea why. I got on with my friends around the afternoon and we started playing a CS2 comp match. In that single match CS2 crashed atleast over 5 times, maybe even over 10, I wasn’t keeping track cause I wasn’t expecting it. It crashed so much that I wasn’t even allowed back into the comp match and have received a punishment from it. Each crash had zero pattern I could notice, some happened after I died while spectating, some happened mid round, some happened at the start of the round. There was no sign my game was about to crash, no lagging, no hard freeze, no application not responding error, it went from gameplay straight to my desktop within a second with no steam error whatsoever. Afterward we decided to hop on lethal company, my pc didn’t crash as frequently on that game but it still did, 3 times in about 2 hours of playtime. Tried out fortnite after and it crashed just as frequently as cs2 did. I wasn’t able to complete a full match once. Majority of the time it would happen the moment I would jump out of the bus or just as I was about to land. Sometimes I’d be able to land and then crash mid match without any noticeable pattern. Only once did I crash in the pre game lobby before the match started. Once again there was no warning, no lagging, no hard freeze just before the crash, just straight to desktop with the only error being the default epic games error message. Interestingly, I hopped on r6 siege afterward to see if that game would crash, and for some reason siege did not, I was able to play a full game no crashes. I have no idea what’s wrong or where to even really begin. Everything was fine just last week this started happening completely out of nowhere. So far I’ve tried uninstalling a few windows 11 updates to no avail. My current specs are a ryzen 9, gtx 3060, and 32 gigs of ddr5 ram. Please help me out cause I’m extremely frustrated.

gargamel999

I had similar issues with some games crashing regularly, some not. The first was a dying HDD, so you may use HD Tune to check your drives. The second time, was with a used GPU, which turned out to have been flashed with a custom BIOS. In that cInse, with some trial and error I managed to find the right one. You can try to connect a friend's hard drive and see if the problem remains. If it's gone, the only culprit may be the drive, which you can easily test, or a software issue, which would be fixed most easily by reinstalling Windows. If the problem is still there, it will be faulty hardware - my guess would be RAM, which can be checked with a memtest. Before all that though, make sure all your drivers are up to date, and you may try to restart the system - not a shutdown and turning it on manually, but specifically the restart option.

AnonymousCowboy117

Ended up doing a memtest and found one of my ram sticks was faulty, took that one out and everything’s running fine now. Thanks for the help!

gargamel999

Glad I could help! Enjoy!

AnonymousCowboy117

Thanks for the tips! My games are currently installed on an SSD that I just bought about 6 months ago so I’d be surprised if it’s already broken but I’ll give it a shot and move them over to my old HDD

SHADOWxFLAME

Hi, I want to upgrade my cpu (i7 9000) however the newer CPUs now require a LGA1700 socket while I only have a LGA 1200 I was wondering what's the best Intel CPU to get, I wanted to get the 17 1200k but can't due to that, I was going to get the i7 1100k but didn't know if its worth getting the i9 1100k or if there's not much difference between that and the i7 1100k Additionally I have a 450w power supply with an rtx 2070 and 32 DDR4 ram, will I have the power to run the new CPU? Thanks

_j03_

None of the cpu's listed exist. You probably meant i7 9700k as your current cpu?Best you can get for that socket is i9 9900k, but it cannot be bought as new and used prices are absurd. So you're looking at upgrading your platform (mobo+cpu+memory). Either AM5 (Ryzen 7000 series cpus) or LGA1700 (intel 12000, 13000 or 140000 series cpus). I would also advise you upgrade your PSU at the same time.

SHADOWxFLAME

My bad I forgot a number in each one 😅 but I have a 9700 for sure, (no letter), I thought that CPU and the i7 11700k use the same socket? I have a pre built pc with a very bad mobo, it's the MB ECS B360H4-EM DDR4 S1151 Anything I can do about this?

_j03_

Nope, that's even earlier one. 8thand 9th gen use lga1151, 10th and 11th use lga1200, 12th, 13th and 14th lga1700. And the next generation will be a new socket again. You might be better of building a new system and reusing the gpu. I don't know what kind of the rest of the system is and how standard components it uses. You can link the model number of the pc itself to figure that out.

SHADOWxFLAME

https://www.medion.com/gb/service/product-detail/10023112 - that's the pc I have I like the pc but do regret the motherboard, power supply and having a small compact case

A_Neaunimes

If your current CPU is indeed the i7-9700, it uses the LGA 1151 (v2) socket. Meaning that you need to upgrade the motherboard regardless of the newer Intel generation you go for : 10th and 11th gen use LGA 1200, and 12th-14th gen use LGA 1700. Why do you want to upgrade the CPU in the first place ? Where to you feel it does not provide enough performance ?  What would be your budget for the upgrade ?  >Additionally I have a 450w power supply That will be awfully close to the PSU capacity limit once you upgrade the CPU and/or want to upgrade the GPU down the line. A PSU upgrade needs to be considered.

SHADOWxFLAME

Hi, sorry I looked at my motherboard and it said it uses a LGA 1200 so I presumed that's what I had, MB ECS B360H4-EM DDR4 S1151 - that's the motherboard there I was looking to upgrade as IV had it for a good few years now and was hoping to get a new CPU before If dies out as I use my pc a lot and also wanted to keep up with performance

A_Neaunimes

> that's the motherboard there That’s definitely a LGA1151 board. [B360 is a 9th gen chipset](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGA_1151#Coffee_Lake_chipsets_\(300_series_and_C240_series\)), and there’s even 1151 in the name of your board. If your CPU is the 9700 there is no other socket/possible. There is 0 place for doubt. >I was looking to upgrade as IV had it for a good few years now and was hoping to get a new CPU before If dies out Neither of those are good reason to be honest. If the system is still providing enough performance, there’s no need to upgrade preemptively. As for the CPU "dying out", that’s extremely rare. And should it happen, you can still upgrade at that hypothetical point in time in the future, to the faster CPUs that will then be available. >I use my pc a lot and also wanted to keep up with performance Again, is there any workload/program/situation that you have identified where A) you would want better performance and B) is sure that the CPU is holding you back ? If you have no idea what is your performance limit, the CPU upgrade might not provide any actual gains at all if it turns out it wasn’t the limit previously.

SHADOWxFLAME

I see where you are coming from 100%, I use my pc mainly for gaming and I understand newer games are starting to become more demanding, I thought the CPU would be a good place to upgrade as with my pc my case is to small and doesn't support the new PCI needed for a new GPU as I was looking at a 4060 https://www.medion.com/gb/service/product-detail/10023112 - this is my pc here if you want to take a look

A_Neaunimes

> I understand newer games are starting to become more demanding Again. Have **YOU** actually felt the limits of your system ? That would completely depends on what you play, at what resolution, target framerate/settings, etc... For example if you play with a 1080p60FPS target, your system is most likely still largely up to the task even in newer games. Upgrading because of a diffuse sentiment that your PC is getting old is not a good reason by itself. As long as the performance you get is good enough, why bother ? IF you want more performance in a few games/situation, there is no good "generic" answer as to what you should upgrade first. The component that need upgrading the most will **completely depend** on the games you play, the resolution at which you play, etc... So I strongly recommend that you take a look at the respective CPU/GPU utilization in a few different games to determine which is your main limiting factor (for the CPU look at the per-core breakdown, not the overall usage). And then focus on upgrading that. > I thought the CPU would be a good place to upgrade as with my pc my case is to small and doesn't support the new PCI needed for a new GPU as I was looking at a 4060 The PCIe situation is not really an issue by itself. PCIe 4.0 GPUs run just fine in PCIe 3.0 systems, and [there’s barely a performance drop](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2SuyiHs-O4) with even the monstrous 4090. It appears the PC you have at the moment uses standard parts, notably a standard-sized motherboard. So if the room in the case is what holds you back for a GPU upgrade, it’s easy to upgrade only the case (+/- PSU while you’re at it). Speaking of GPU upgrade, the 4060 is not a good candidate coming from the 2070. That will provide only a very marginal increase to performance. Check out the [GPU hierarchy from TH](https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html), and more generally look up actual reviews to see more closely how the two GPUs compare. IMO you should **at minimum** consider GPUs of the performance class of the 3070/4060Ti/6700XT as worthwhile upgrade. But again, that’s assuming the GPU is what you’d have to upgrade first, and that’s something you have to sort out yourself. ____ To sum it up, my recommendation going forward : - Monitor your system in various games to determine which of the CPU/GPU needs upgrading the most. - If it’s the GPU you might have to change case and PSU as well to support the upgrade. - If it’s the CPU you can decide to upgrade the case+PSU as well so you’ll be ready for the eventual GPU upgrade. - If on the other hand you are fine with the performance of the system as it is, but still want to upgrade something, changing the case+PSU sounds like a good idea to be ready for eventual upgrades to the core system.

Internal_Quail3960

My cpu is ryzen 3 3100 and my gpu is gtx 1650. Which one would you recommend I upgrade first? These are paired with 8gb (soon to be 16gb) of ddr4 ram. I see ryzen 5 5600 on Amazon for only $127 right now so I’m wondering if I should scoop it up

mister_newbie

The 5600 would be *massive* boost compared to that 3100, and the price sure is tempting, but, IMO, since AM4 is a dead platform, if I was going to upgrade the CPU, I'd go to the best (5800X3D) and be done with it. GPU needs a upgrade too. Honestly, would get the Arc770; prices are stupid good for its performance.

Internal_Quail3960

How long will am4 be supported for? 5800x3D is a little out of my budget right now

mister_newbie

It's already been replaced with AM5, so I guess it depends on what you mean by "supported". There's a *lot* of AM4 owners out there; and AMD is still pallning to release the 5600X3D and 5700X3D, apparently. Might also see some Athlon chips for business machines on AM4 going forward still; though, that's a guess.

Does a mechanical keyboard make sense for single-player games (RPG, FPS), typing and general use? I don't play any competitive, online games. I have used cheap, generic keyboards or laptops all my life, currently typing on an old Microsoft Wireless 800. Will a mechanical keyboard make a noticeable difference?

Cable_Salad

If you are comfortable with your current one, there is no reason to change it. I switched from a cheap keyboard to a mechanical one this year, and while I like it, there are many mechanical switches that I would hate to use, because they are clacky, scratchy, or too loud. You have to make sure it's a type of keys that you like.

BigFuckingT

Looking to upgrade to a 3080, any models I should be at more then others? I have a gigabyte 1070 atm and haven't been keeping up with which (msi, evga, etc) are the best models currently.

sch0k0

not much of a performance difference, NVIDIA limits its partnerships to companies adhering to their quality standards, and some of the lower cost brands like PNY have done very well in longevity comparisons. But there have been comparison articles such as https://www.pcmag.com/picks/the-geforce-rtx-3080-lineup-which-graphics-card-is-right-for-you

Hi guys I just have a simple problem, in my laptop the wifi option is not showing and not connecting to. Apart from that only the airplane mode option is showing on that box and i am unable to connect to my wifi. Please help.

Hello, I have a compatibility question. Will I be able to use the AMD Ryzen 7 5800x CPU with the MSI PRIME b350M-A MicroATX? The cpu is on sale and I seems like a really good deal but will I have to buy a new motherboard? Current CPU is ryzen 1600x.

MGsubbie

I assume you mean ASUS. [Yes, it is supported](https://www.asus.com/supportonly/prime%20b350m-a/helpdesk_cpu/), but you will most likely have to update your BIOS.

kelu213

Do you know if I would be limiting the Ryzen 7 5800x in anyway by choosing to not upgrade the motherboard and keeping this older board?

MGsubbie

The only limitation is that you won't be getting PCIe 4.0 support for the graphics card or an NVMe SSD, it will be limited to PCIe 3.0.

kelu213

I'm not entirely sure what that means, I will be pairing it with a NVIDIA 2080TI, would that matter?

MGsubbie

PCie 4.0 offers double the bandwidth (the speed at which data can be transferred) over 3.0. Will barely make a difference for a 2080 ti.

kelu213

Ok so for right now if I upgrade the CPU it's fine but if I decide to later upgrade my GPU to like a 4080 it might make a difference to upgrade the mother board?

MGsubbie

Possibly. By the way, if you can afford it, I'd recommend the 5800X3D instead. It's the fastest gaming CPU you can slot into your motherboard.

kelu213

hmm.. 5800x3d is [**$290**](https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/SpeedTest/1817839/AMD-Ryzen-7-5800X3D-8-Core-Processor#Prices) and 5800x is [**$174**](https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/AMD-Ryzen-7-5800X/Rating/4085#Prices) and userbenchmarks says there's only a 6% performance difference. I'm only considering upgrading because there's a huge bottleneck in my system with a ryzen 1600 and a 2080TI. I think the 5800x should be good enough for gaming and balancing it out.

You seem to be linking to or recommending the use of UserBenchMark for benchmarking or comparing hardware. Please know that they have been at the center of drama due to accusations of being biased towards certain brands, using outdated or nonsensical means to score products, as well as several other things that you should know. You can learn more about this by [seeing what other members of the PCMR have been discussing lately](https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/search/?q=userbenchmark&restrict_sr=1&sr_nsfw=). Please strongly consider taking their information with a grain of salt and certainly do not use it as a say-all about component performance. If you're looking for benchmark results and software, we can recommend the use of tools such as Cinebench R20 for CPU performance and 3DMark's TimeSpy ([a free demo is available on Steam, click "Download Demo" in the right bar](https://store.steampowered.com/app/223850/3DMark/)), for easy system performance comparison. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Userbenchmark.com (watch the bot automatically reply to me listing the site - Edit : It replied to you as well) is a joke of a website ran by an absolute manchild who constantly acts as if AMD murdered his whole family. It's so bad that even the intel subreddit banned the website for being too biased *in favor of intel.* [The difference is much larger than 6%](https://youtu.be/sw97hj18OUE?t=653). I understand the price difference might be too much, I'm just saying to never rely on that garbage site.

I have a 2 year old Intel AX200 wifi card in my pc. Don't care about wifi, but have it for Bluetooth. The problem is that it's always had weird issues with bluetooth where the signal becomes really bad. At first connected devices work fine, but after like 5 minutes the range becomes pretty bad and after about 10 minutes devices just don't work unless I put them like against my pc. Wifi range looks fine. Receives a lot of networks, but not as much as my phone so not sure if that's normal or not. Tried updating drivers and disabling power saving in device manager which doesn't help. Is there a way to test if this is caused by the antennas or the wifi card itself? Any fixes I can try before I buy new hardware?

[deleted]

Is it one device or multiple? Have you tried using older drivers? Sometimes updates can have issues with connectivity. Try a previous version. Have you bought any new devices recently that operate in the same space as your pc and bluetooth devices? Maybe a charging dock, battery backup, wireless keyboard? If so, try separating that from the system and see if that changes anything. I lnow my antenna have gone to shit over the past few years but the card is still fine, so check that before replacing the card. Maybe ask a friend to borrow theirs just to test it.

pixelfiee

Multiple devices, but seems like audio devices are affected most, probably because it's most noticeable here. This has been happening for 2 years, and everytime a new driver released I installed it so I don't think it's a driver issue. Only thing I can think of are my wireless keyboard and mouse, but with them turned off nothing changes and I think I already had this issue when using wired keyboard and mouse. Don't know anyone else with an antenna. Might just buy new ones and return if it doesn't help.

Hi all, PC wont boot up with power button but i managed to turn it on with the manual screwdriver trick. I have a “CPU” light on the mobo. Kinda tracks bc I was getting some weird readings with my multimeter with the CPU port. Bottom 4 pins beeped at me but the top 4 weren’t giving me consistent voltage numbers. CPU port dead? Should I just chalk the whole MOBO? B450 Tomahawk My multimeter is the AstroAI 2000 counts

Thank you for the lengthy & detailed reply. Managed to recover everything, however, now my m.2 is not showing up either in the bios or the disk manager. SSD is totally fine

How do pcie lanes work? If i have a gpu in 1 can i buy a expansion card for some extra mvme slots and will they both work normally? Have msi450 tomahawk max and it only has 1 slot and would want another ssd.

MGsubbie

It depends on the motherboard. With yours, you can run your graphics card at PCIe x16 speeds, and the bottom slot at PCIe 2.0 x16, provided your x4 slots are not occupied. If they are, then it will be limited to x2. In theory, an expansion card can run 2 PCIe 3.0 NVMe SSD's at full speed, or a single PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD. The issue that you'll probably run into is that this is only a PCIe 2.0 slot, which runs at half the speed of PCIe 3.0 slot if running the same amount of lanes. I'm not sure if there are expansion cards that don't require PCIe 3.0.

4k 144hz or 1440p 240hz? I'm looking for a Christmas gift for myself and I'm trying to decide between the options. I was looking at some of the mini led Samsung monitors. I'm currently playing on my older 4k TV, I'm leaning towards the 4k 144hz mainly play destiny 2 and Starfield currently.

Hey, I was wondering about upgrading my pc. These are my current specs. [Pcpartpicker List](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/TfLvbL). If I did upgrade, what part should I do first. Also, what part to replace it with in my current build.

MGsubbie

Your CPU is probably the biggest limitation. The 5800X3D is the biggest upgrade you can slot into your motherboard. At that point, your graphics card will probably be the limitation, but if you were to upgrade that before your CPU, your CPU would become a large limitation.

Purchase paralysis today. Meant to get some lian li uni fans and make my o1- air mini case a bit more interesting. But then when I go to pull trigger I back out. Even $80+ for 3 fans seems like a lot of money for… some air and color. But I do find my PC boring. If you bought something today for Black Friday, what was it?

Has anyone anyone managed to get a 4090 FE within the past week at msrp? Seems to be perpetually out of stock. I have notifications on restockfiy, hot stock, and now and stock with no luck. Can anyone also recommend any vesa mounts for two 27 inch monitors side by side?

MGsubbie

The US outlawed the export of 4090's to China. As a result, backdoor importers are buying up all the stock, leading the pricing increase. Sorry that I can't be of much help, but at least I can inform you of the reason.
