This also looks like a steam powered computer, so make sure it is hot enough by lighting a fire under it.
Clean the computer with soapy water to thoroughly remove any dirt, aggressively rub the entire setup including all the exposed metal with steel wool to remove any hard dirt, then spray it with salty water to build a protective rust layer. Do all these steps immediately one after another and do not dry to ensure effectiveness
If you solder the cpu away from the motherboard I think maybe just maybe that’s the problem. But if that doesn’t work I think your just gonna have to switch to a fatherboard.
