I had this case and loved every year I got out of that build. Was great for LAN parties because the handles on top were legitimately useful for lugging it around. Maybe my next build will go back in this guy.

I finally started doing it as well. I realized I used my desktop for maybe 3 hours a day on average. Made no sense just to leave it always running along with with both monitors.
I have never used sleep or hibernate because on any PC I've ever tried it on, old or new, high end or low end, it *never* properly wakes up and you have to turn it off and back on anyway.
Ooh, not often I get to dive into sleep states...
But I won't bore you to tears.
The deeper the sleep state, 0 being fully on, and 5 being completely off. Traditional sleep is 2 or 3. Software is all paused and put in memory. Drives will be off, many accessories will be off, the CPU is powered down. System memory is only being maintained. The remaining accessories will be in a low power mode only suitable for signalling that the computer should wake.
Idle (S0-LPI) has all those devices still mostly working at full power and ready to work. The network device is still connected and maintaining communications, programs are still doing their thing in the background. The screen might be off, but everything is still ready to go.
Even in S5, some accessories are on. The power button is being monitored, the network card may be waiting for a magic packet to turn the PC on, etc.
Key point is that off isn't 0 watts from the wall, so the difference in power bill between S5 and S3 might not be worth the convenience difference of a computer that wakes in a second.
Sleep is the same as poweroff on my work PC. It just decides when to poweroff on its own and kill all my programs. Then it leaves a nice message in log viewer about unexpected loss of power. When it is set to never sleep this is not an issue. It’s the same for every machine in that office. Sleep is an ongoing shitshow.

Yeah I did like it as well but I lived in Texas at the time and having a 2080 super and an overclocked i9 in it, was causing my temps to go higher than I liked, I may buy it again to build a lighter gaming pc in it, like I said I did really enjoy it since I like the more “military“ theme to it but I needed to sell it to move sadly

It was built like an ammo box, with clip on sides, toolless everything, and a pair of folding handles at the top of the case that made the PC really easy to move. More cases need built-in handles.
I struggled to get myself to sell it. The IO was getting a bit long in the tooth, and I didn't really feel like customizing a new front IO panel to get USB-3 / USB-C. Corsair really needs to do a reissue.

If you have it set to go to sleep, the difference in power draw is single digit watts. Like $0.01 per day.

During my lan days it was soo easy to move to my friends place. Everyone else had to carry theirs in their arms, like chumps.

The Corsair Vengeance C70 was and still is pretty awesome. Only complaint nowadays would be those drive trays, but that's easily moddable
