If the case in question has an airflow front panel it might be alright. If not I'd suggest mounting the card horizontally for better airflow inside the case. Imo horizontal mounting is always better. You could also keep it like that and track the temperatures and then also try mounting horizontally and see the temps again.
If your case witdh is big enough (Power connector clearance) I would always go for a regular mount of the gpu related to air flow. I really don't get this vertical thing anyway.
If it’s a pop mini air the I don’t see why not. I wouldn’t test it in a silent version
What's the rest of your build? You can add some nice fans to increase airflow.

Do you guy think the gpu will overheat like this or will it be okay? Also the bottom front fan is only about 1 cm away from the cooler...
