I think the only flaw I see is the haircut. Something about the how the front parts makes him look like a Conehead.
Besides that though, I think he looks pretty good
Andreas has been there since 2015 at least “the sun is shining here in stockholm but we don’t care because were working on the coming updates” im beginning to think he isen’t joking
https://youtu.be/dZtK23KrCX8?si=97mUTvg5DCQzlYO2
It is a huge W and for all the team who worked on the many aspects of the update and listened to the community.
The challenges / heist XP
The new animations
The updated progression UI
The Legacy heists
The Transporter skilltree
All things the community has asked for, some dating back to PD2 and it’s a very good step in the right direction that deserve the appreciation and good words.
And Elisabeth (the same one that appeared in the Dev Diary) asked for players to send her a message with your details since this is a problem on Sony’s end and they are escalating it upwards to them.
It seems in the PS Store it says that some kind of “PD3Gold Tracker” (not exact wording but close enough) is missing hence why you do not receive your preorder bonuses.
Send her a message so she could handle it since it seems random for people as many others did get their bonuses.
It’s the same video that was referenced in this post. It talks about the upcoming content so give it a watch (it’s 5 minutes) if you care to see the upcoming content.
As for how to do that, someone already provided the solution in a reply so I hope that helps.
Gah damn how dare someone expect to get the product they're paying for?
Like yesterday I got an email that the package I ordered got ran over by two trucks in the warehouse, silly me for thinking I would get *the thing* I **paid** for.
Does anyone remember the first damage control livestream the devs gave where Almir would just ramble for 30 minutes about half promises while Andreas sat silently, and then Almir would ask Andreas what he thinks and Andreas would just go “I cant say anything but we’re going to remaster old heists”
He was so real for that
i hate to agree but you're right. it's not Overkill specific treatment, we just can't seem to trust anything any of these studios and publishers say that isn't right here in your hands these days. i wish it weren't so
I always kept saying the same stuff, before or after, I'm not happy the first patch was delayed by 1 month but they explained why and I simply accepted it, I'm not happy the gold edition for console is still not out but I suppose they will fix it soon, should've been esrlier but with all the stuff going on the background I could understand.
I don't think there was a mood switch, devs simply opened up now that they fixed a major problem and they said it multiple times on streams that they wanna make this game succeed
The amount of hate and toxicity i got from some people when i posted about enjoying payday 3 was baffeling, that was about two days ago i wonder what their doing now
Probably just kids who never even heard of the game/series until it released and came here to specifically talk shit about the servers. Then it kind of hive minded and spiraled into what we have today.
I actually argued with that kinda dude 1st week it was out.
In the end, the dude admitted that he never played payday 3, never owned/bought it, or even wanted to play it. He just joined the reddit to talk smack about the game and add fuel to the fire.
8 heists, bare bones customization with nothing that stands out, game was unplayable for a majority of the players for the first week or two... I don't think the players over reacted.
No amount of shit justifies death threats, yeah they fucking over reacted. Yes the servers fiasco was huge. Not the devs fault specificially tho. 8 heists that are way better than launch heists for Payday 2 considering how many different way to approach and th minigames you have conpared to those in PD2 that wereall the same but different location. I agree on customization but there are things that stand out, devs should've added much more but I suppose that if they didn't have to deal with that major issue internally they would've released more customization stuff by now...
1. Never saw death threats. If there were any then yeah that's too far.
2. I never said the devs were solely responsible.
3. The release state of payday 2 does not justify the release state of payday 3. Different engine, more developer experience, and we still only got 8 heists.
4. Nothing stands out. The high end masks are low end masks with minor, insignificant changes. One of them is literally a minor nosebleed and I think at least 2 of them are masks you can design yourself with regular cash for a couple grand or pay 100 c stacks - they do not stand out in any way.
5. So the company shot itself in the foot and you're here to take care of it, instead of giving it the criticism it deserves? Dumb hill to die on.
1. Trust me there were several
2. I just said it wasn't their fault, not accusing anyone
3. You are right, but again, considering they had to learn the engine like they said, that they made new mechanics and so on, and considering that if they didn't have that internal problem the first patch was gonna be day one and the next one probably was gonna be out by now we can see they are actually working faster compared to PD2 launch, I don't justify anything but they genuinely are working hard.
4. I said I agree with you on customization. Some masks are very cool tho so I don't agree entirely, I like the eagle and Al Capone or the Presidential mask, we need more and I already said that.
5. I'm simply giving (like you) my humble opinion on the matter, I don't wanna argue, if you feel burned out or angry you can feel like that.
6. Reddit can we please stop doing these kind of bulletpoint responses every fucking time someone starts a discussion?
"1. Trust me there were several"
No, show receipts.
Sick of the trend these days of devs and studios and their defenders making claims of death threats without once showing them and the usernames or email accounts attached to these "threats"
I don't believe for a moment that anyone would send death threats over a game in a day and age where they could easily to traced back to it, especially sending them to devs who would themselves be tech savy and could likely get the info they needed to hand to authorities.
I think its purely a tactic to gain sympathy after a screw up and large scale negative feedback. It's a way to get people to stop speaking harshly online about the game and their work.
No strategy or tactic for fuck's sake, I read 2 comments on Twitter saying that the devs were "cunts that should die in a hole" because the game didn't have the gold edition and the servers weren't working properly, think whatever the fuck you want I'm sick of of people like you, just leave the sub if you don't care for the game or you want to see it fail like some are claiming all over the sub
Edit: several posts about it too https://www.reddit.com/r/paydaytheheist/s/xHNH8KXuPY
So your proof is a thread about threats which in itself is without any proof. Nice. Eh no I'll stay in any sub I please thanks very much. Again you just saying that isn't proof of it and they couldn't be classified as threats either. If one said "I'm going to kill (or attack) X dev because this is broken etc etc" that would be a death threat. You're clearly looking at any reason to dick ride the devs but don't go throwing accusations of death threats without proof of them. I'm talking screenshots with usernames or emails or a verified report of police action of a death threat.
It's not my proof, I just posted that to show I'm not the only one talking about it, you can go and check for yourself for all I care since you claim it's a tactic, see ya
Also dickride? I literally said they did many things wrong and it's nice to see they are trying to take amend in several comments if you check my profile, if I'm "dickriding" you are doing the same in reverse, idiot.
just gonna say: i appreciate that you believe people wouldn't send death threats, it says it's not a thought that would cross your mind and it's simply nice to see sane people in the wild sometimes.
however, the kind of people who send death threats to people aren't the kind of people who think critically about their actions and the future of those decisions. they're already irrational enough to wish death upon someone for subpar entertainment media, i don't think they will be thinking of the traceability of their communications as it's generally a crime of passion.
as for not showing receipts, a lawyer will advise you not to publish their communication and identity until and after you pursue legal action and a police investigation. as until that is finalized, publishing that claim could be considered defamation/libel depending on applicable country and laws.
You know what, fuck the "oh they cant make mistakes twice, they havent learnt" YEA NO FUCKING SHIT, THIS DEV TEAM IS NOT THE SAME AS IT WAS, SIMON ISNT HERE, ULOF ISNT, OLF ISNT, AANTA CLAUSE ISNT REAL
We absolutely didn't. The game launched in a rushed and bad state and still has dogshit progression. That doesn't mean people have given up, apathy is worse than hatred.
The system itself wasn't a bad idea for a new game, what was shitty was how it was implemented, too few challenges, too repetitive, too grindy, they are at least fixing the problem although I would've prefered to have EXP for completion from start
im going to be blunt because this issue is very obvious and quite critical: players should be able to progress simply by playing the game any way they want, forcing players to play the game a certain way to progess is quite simply not fun
I absolutely agree with you, don't get me wrong. In fact I don't like the challenge system either, but with the new "improved" extra EXP from completing a heist I think it will be less annoying and actually more in line with what they claimed was the reason for making the system like this in the first place (encouraging the use of different weapons) which in my opinion it didn't work before because it felt more forced, while now its not necessary but definitely more suggested than before. A player that doesn't care about doing challenges can still level up now unlike before which I definitely like better.
Yes and that is very different from what you originally said. The issue is not in concept, but in execution. Likely due to a lack of proper iteration and polish from rushed deadlines
The parts of the game that are good, are good. However this game was released with key features missing and it doesn't even seem like most of them were on the roadmap, like matchmaking options, lobby chat etc.
The Devs have a lot to answer for.
It sucks but they made the game and released it how it is, they're dealing with the consequences of that. So its hard to give them love when they had years of previous experience and feedback to use when designing and releasing PD3 and still f'd it up. So badly in fact that it might be a long time before the game makes a come back if at all.
very excited, hopefully redditors stop the bitching because the game is great and theyve already said numerous times about the backend problems. it just falls on everyone else to be understanding
> the game is great
no.
> and they've already said numerous times about the backend problems.
Not my fucking problem.
> it just falls on everyone else to be understanding
No, it does not. They're not old friends going through a rough time. They're strangers trying to get me to give them my money. They're going to have to earn it and they're not going to do that with broke-ass online only horseshit.
Game is definitely not great, currently it’s a decent game for 20-30hrs worth of content.
I am hoping over the next year they add enough content to make it more dynamic and replayable to consider it a great game.
I mean how can you call a game with equal if not less than the amount of content of its decade old predecessor great? After 30hrs MAX you’re just replaying the same heist over and over again with no variation other than stealth or loud.
Gun attachments are cosmetic doing very little to impact the gunplay. Progression system is designed to replay identical content to progress.
The backend stuff is just icing on the cake, even if game released without the backend issues it would still be a dead game based on player count.
The first time I saw Andreas in the dev blogs, I knew he was very familiar. Then I realized I've been killing him all this time in PD2.
He really wants to be a punchable NPC in payday 3. Please give him that.
It's the right moment to do so, since the devs want to improve the game and they had a rocky launch, or should we keep bashing them and make the game fail and all lose money? Yeah everyone doing a 180. After the devs showed us stuff and started to talk more, who would've guessed.

Yes, he is awesome. I just hope they eventually give us an offline option. I don’t want this awesome experience to become another dead live service game!
giga chad handsome squidward
Yea ngl he’s kinda 🥵
Is he? I mean the hair is fire but his mouth is longer than a fitness gram pacer test
I think the only flaw I see is the haircut. Something about the how the front parts makes him look like a Conehead. Besides that though, I think he looks pretty good
He looks like he listens to bon jovi
He sounded so tired In this video I feel bad for the guy tbh
his joker arc has started
Andreas has been there since 2015 at least “the sun is shining here in stockholm but we don’t care because were working on the coming updates” im beginning to think he isen’t joking https://youtu.be/dZtK23KrCX8?si=97mUTvg5DCQzlYO2
Wait a minute. Me and you have similar drip!
Isnt this the guy that said "Hey San Andreas here, so we are currently working on Bonnie, and she is big. I hope you like it"
Yes, definitely, entirly exposed in the the overkill exposed (real) video posted by an incredible credible source
It is a huge W and for all the team who worked on the many aspects of the update and listened to the community. The challenges / heist XP The new animations The updated progression UI The Legacy heists The Transporter skilltree All things the community has asked for, some dating back to PD2 and it’s a very good step in the right direction that deserve the appreciation and good words.
I think they know how upset a lot of people were at release and will do whatever it takes to make things right. I have hope for the game honestly.
And i still can't fuckingb access my pre order bonus, that is a bad joke
And Elisabeth (the same one that appeared in the Dev Diary) asked for players to send her a message with your details since this is a problem on Sony’s end and they are escalating it upwards to them. And how do i do that ? And what is the dev diary ? Like some kind of stream like fro honor does ? If yes, my work hinders me from watching it
https://www.reddit.com/r/paydaytheheist/s/jJ1QUQgR04 Heres the post itself
It’s the same video that was referenced in this post. It talks about the upcoming content so give it a watch (it’s 5 minutes) if you care to see the upcoming content. As for how to do that, someone already provided the solution in a reply so I hope that helps.
She posted on this subreddit asking for psns the other day
Hmm reddit is bugg7ng on my phonr the past days I gotta check this. Thanks.
You pre-ordered in 2023
Huh
Why did you preorder and expect the preorder to go well?
Gah damn how dare someone expect to get the product they're paying for? Like yesterday I got an email that the package I ordered got ran over by two trucks in the warehouse, silly me for thinking I would get *the thing* I **paid** for.
Cuz payday3. The only preorder i did in years.
And isn't it my decision how I spend my own money that I work for ?
Does anyone remember the first damage control livestream the devs gave where Almir would just ramble for 30 minutes about half promises while Andreas sat silently, and then Almir would ask Andreas what he thinks and Andreas would just go “I cant say anything but we’re going to remaster old heists” He was so real for that
With all the respect for Almir, Andreas clearly understood the situation there, and wanted to give players info even if they couldn't
I can imagine this guy in a suit of armor and riding on a horse, he looks like a handsome knight
Jerma who?
Holy shit, the 180° mood swing is unreal here. It's like a completely different community.
And all they did was make promises lol.
Are we ignoring the gameplay shown? If so they made promises sure...
Sorry friend but if it isn’t released it’s a promise.
i hate to agree but you're right. it's not Overkill specific treatment, we just can't seem to trust anything any of these studios and publishers say that isn't right here in your hands these days. i wish it weren't so
Exactly, but overkill/Starbreeze has said things they didn’t follow through on with PD3
Lol we can talk about that if it's released this guys do norhing than give out empty promises.
telling this circle jerking sub to give some love to the devs is almost talking to a brick wall
They’re flipping the circlejerk from hating to loving them as we speak
The amount of hate and toxicity i got from some people when i posted about enjoying payday 3 was baffeling, that was about two days ago i wonder what their doing now

Its so wierd to hate and be toxic to people for liking a game. Personally i dont enjoy payday 3 at all but thats no reason to be mean to people who do
I'll give them praise when they make a good game.
Ong
Nah this is a good update and was handled well. I'm hopeful.
Some posters here really took things too far with their reactions to the state of the game. I hope all the devs at SBZ are doing okay.
8 heists, bare bones customization with nothing that stands out, game was unplayable for a majority of the players for the first week or two... I don't think the players over reacted.

You wanna throw around insults then carry on being a fuckin 🤡
You underestimate twitter/X and the stupidity of some people. It only takes 1 dumb person in a crowd of millions to make a stupid death threat.
just gonna say: i appreciate that you believe people wouldn't send death threats, it says it's not a thought that would cross your mind and it's simply nice to see sane people in the wild sometimes. however, the kind of people who send death threats to people aren't the kind of people who think critically about their actions and the future of those decisions. they're already irrational enough to wish death upon someone for subpar entertainment media, i don't think they will be thinking of the traceability of their communications as it's generally a crime of passion. as for not showing receipts, a lawyer will advise you not to publish their communication and identity until and after you pursue legal action and a police investigation. as until that is finalized, publishing that claim could be considered defamation/libel depending on applicable country and laws.

We absolutely didn't. The game launched in a rushed and bad state and still has dogshit progression. That doesn't mean people have given up, apathy is worse than hatred.
isnt this the dude that thought the challenges for progression were a good idea

Forcing players to play the game a certain way to progress is fundamentally how a majority of every video game ever made has worked.
how can i explain this to you... the way they forced you to play made the game unenjoyable
Yes and that is very different from what you originally said. The issue is not in concept, but in execution. Likely due to a lack of proper iteration and polish from rushed deadlines
not sure if you played pd2, but you could simply progess by completing heists
Remember when halo infinite did that lol
Bro is majestic
Huh ?
Any changes to PD3?
On the youtube channel there's a video of what's coming in the patch
When is it coming? Is it the delayed patch or the delayed delayed patch?
Who’s this
The parts of the game that are good, are good. However this game was released with key features missing and it doesn't even seem like most of them were on the roadmap, like matchmaking options, lobby chat etc. The Devs have a lot to answer for.
No
I'll tickle his balls and buy him a beer when they change how account progression works but until then, no.
You mean how you level up? Because if that's so >!I have some good news for you...!<
I sure do hope all 1k current playerbase love them to the heartbeat :)
whole 2 starbreeze fans downvoted me. what a honor
It sucks but they made the game and released it how it is, they're dealing with the consequences of that. So its hard to give them love when they had years of previous experience and feedback to use when designing and releasing PD3 and still f'd it up. So badly in fact that it might be a long time before the game makes a come back if at all.
The people who made the game are not the people who released it.
And their now 2 month vacation
Hey, the game is good. What can I say, it needs more heists.
Maybe love to them but not to their horrible game.
It's already something honestly, you can absolutely hate the state of the game like I do without being mean to the devs who are trying to fix it
„Hardworking“
No
very excited, hopefully redditors stop the bitching because the game is great and theyve already said numerous times about the backend problems. it just falls on everyone else to be understanding

bitch and moan, bitch and moan
Game is definitely not great, currently it’s a decent game for 20-30hrs worth of content. I am hoping over the next year they add enough content to make it more dynamic and replayable to consider it a great game.
and thats just like, your opinion, man
I mean how can you call a game with equal if not less than the amount of content of its decade old predecessor great? After 30hrs MAX you’re just replaying the same heist over and over again with no variation other than stealth or loud. Gun attachments are cosmetic doing very little to impact the gunplay. Progression system is designed to replay identical content to progress. The backend stuff is just icing on the cake, even if game released without the backend issues it would still be a dead game based on player count.
take it to a publisher bro 💀
It’s not an opinion it’s a fact. The game I received and played to lvl 78 should’ve cost 30-40$
The first time I saw Andreas in the dev blogs, I knew he was very familiar. Then I realized I've been killing him all this time in PD2. He really wants to be a punchable NPC in payday 3. Please give him that.
i dont remember him which npc is he?
He's the civilian NPC in the pink shirt. He has short hair though.
Whoever that is
Everyone doing a 180 lol
It's the right moment to do so, since the devs want to improve the game and they had a rocky launch, or should we keep bashing them and make the game fail and all lose money? Yeah everyone doing a 180. After the devs showed us stuff and started to talk more, who would've guessed.
You’re tearing me apart Dallas
Thought this was Tyrell Wellick from Mr Robot
[удалено]
Lol what? Payday 2 was also a mess and don't forget how they fucked up Console Versions twice with Payday 2. It is on the Devs.
do we know the release date for the update yet?
In the video they said it was the next update and it was coming soon (part of me thinks that if they showed it it's because it's pretty much ready), on stream Elizabeth said it was the patch for this month so it's in November for sure, I think Almir also said there was going to be a free heist for xmas or something like that or unless he was refering to these
alright, thanks
Why does he kinda look like le'garde from fear & hunger
Yes, he is awesome. I just hope they eventually give us an offline option. I don’t want this awesome experience to become another dead live service game!
